Elden Remnants
An: So recently, as in last night, I BEAT the main game of Elden Ring! FINALLY! Still slumming through the DLC though, but I'm getting a rough idea of how I want Elden Remnants to go now. However, I'm having a difficult time deciding on a replacement for Godwyn. I have Miquella's replacement on the team (in the form of Messmer), but of my choices I'm stumped. So, I thought I'd ask your opinions on them. The choices are:
-Mohg: Literally, since the DLC's revelations, this is one of the most obvious replacements, however I'm still not sure I want to use Mohg yet. Story wise, it'd be an interesting compare and contrast to Morgott, and to write out the two's conflicting viewpoints on their situations (both old and new) and their views on the Faunus, considering they'd be viewed as such.
-Rykard: Recently, I saw a theory on YouTube that suggests the Carian siblings were a lot more in cahoots than we might have initially thought on the Black Knife plot. Going off this, his interactions with Radahn would be a fun dynamic to play around with. He's still a crazy bastard who fed himself to a snake, but who's to say it was made of sound mind considering what we know thanks to the DLC?
-Melina: She'd be an easy addition, but we only have vague, if any at all, information regarding her power in comparison to the other demigods. Still, it'd be a nice surprise for the Tarnished when he and Ranni arrive on Remnant. Hehe…
-Malenia: An odd choice, sure, but her relationship with Radahn and vice versa would be fun to write, and while I don't want to do much speculating when I've only scratched the surface of the DLC, I feel like Miquella has…not abandoned his sister per sei, but maybe…I'm not sure of the best term. But considering they're twins and how much emphasis was placed on how close they seemed to be in the main game, it's kind of odd the only reference (that I know of so far) comes from the final boss cutscene, where he makes mention of 'his loyal blade.' Her apart of the team would be a trying experience for all because she'd have to come to terms with her situation and wonder just how much she truly knew about her brother.
I might put up a poll in the next few days to help see who you guys would be interested in seeing in the new Elden Remnants. I really don't mind who I use, but whoever I chose will take the story in an entirely different route. So which do you think would be the most interesting?
