Note: As I mentioned in chapter 1, I apologize for the lack of action so far in this story. Part 1 is just a lot of buildup, to what I hope are an action-packed last four chapters. Not to mention the follow-up with Eclipso…
The Nanny Interview
Mid-to-Late November 2022
Before Kara had left for maternity leave, she had successfully applied for a new position at CatCo as an editor, which was something she had both not thought of since giving birth, but also had been excited for at the same time. Now that her maternity leave was soon coming to an end, however, it meant she and Barry were facing yet another hurdle in their newfound parentage: finding a nanny.
Not only were Aiden and Avery top priority to be taken care of while both Barry and Kara were working, but there was the matter of taking care of Zari and Adri too; taking them to and from school, plus providing for them once out of school up until when Kara and Barry came back from their respective works.
Of course, with Barry's self-business with Jesse Wells, it did mean he could have more free time, but a collaboration with Ray Palmer for special 'programmable matter' and renting space in STAR Labs to help progress with this meant that Barry's job was somewhat full-time right now.
So together, Barry and Kara had found time to interview a few candidates for the role, and today they were meeting with a very hopeful candidate, given their knowledge of her from the multiverse – obviously, knowing someone's alternate didn't mean that they knew the person, or that they would be the same as the versions they already knew, but surely Caitlin Raymond would be the same person as the other Caitlin Snows across the multiverse?
They were interviewing in their home, of course, with Aiden and Avery in their crib at the back of the living area with Lara, while Zari and Adri were at school, and Lara snoozing in the kitchen; the living room was looking immaculate with the coffee table acting as the interview table as Barry showed Caitlin into the room.
"It's nice to meet you," Kara stood up from the couch to shake Caitlin's hand as Barry indicated that she took a seat on the single-seated comfy chair while he took position next to his wife on the couch. So far, Caitlin looked and held herself very much like the alternates Kara knew from other worlds. Her hair was also brown, unlike her twin sisters, indicating she did not have the ice powers.
"Very nice to see you in person," Caitlin stated, smiling.
"As you know from the phone interview, we have two young twins and two fostered girls, 10 and 12," Barry explained to Caitlin; they had done an initial phone interview with all their candidates, just to get a lay of the land with them and decide which ones they wanted to meet in person.
"Of course. Sounds like a wonderful family," Caitlin acknowledged this.
"Alright, so, tell us a bit about yourself," Kara moved the conversation on; they had her resume, and knew of her, but didn't know this version of Caitlin. Kara had thought she'd been a scientist here, too, given Harrison Wells had mentioned her a few years ago when Prime Barry first arrived, but this could have been changed due to the Crisis. When she had mentioned that to both Barry and Harrison, too, neither had seemed aware of it, their memories changed due to Crisis.
"Well, I've been nannying for about ten years now, I've looked after two families in Opal City – the second family I would still be with if my husband hadn't gotten a job locally with Mercury Labs – but I have excellent references from both families. I'm very disciplined but happy to give children their time to play, and if a child gets on my bad side…" she let this sentence hang, Barry, and Kara figuring this was a well-rehearsed speech she'd been planning.
"Mercury Labs…" Barry voiced. "Just to be clear, you know I run my own company and am linked to STAR Labs - both competition for Mercury Labs, so anything you might hear me say should be kept from your husband should you get the job. Vice versa too. Don't go telling me what your husband is working on." That was a bit of a concern for Barry; Mercury Labs was much bigger than his and Jesse's company, and known friendly rivals with STAR Labs, so he didn't want any lawsuits.
"Of course,' Caitlin said. "I discussed that with my husband when I got the interview. We agreed it could work. From what I know, STAR Labs and Mercury Labs are working on very different projects, and Wells-Allen Tech is something else entirely."
"Good," Barry was glad there would be no conflict. "Now, back on track – how are you with babies? Our twins are four months now," he was concerned about the babies' showing powers, and while they were developing quicker than most kids, it seemed both the Speed Force and the Kryptonian powers were currently waiting for the kids to be older to put Barry and Kara through super-parent hell.
"Well, I have two beautiful children myself, and the second family I nannied for had newborns – saw them grow up until they were 4 before we made the hard choice to move away," Caitlin stated to this. "I know how to handle babies."
"What about meta-human babies?" Kara asked this, sharing her thoughts and concerns with Barry. "There's every possibility our kids could end up as metas," she added, as cover for the moment. Kara didn't want to reveal their powers yet, and she knew for definite the two would show some Kryptonian and speedster powers eventually. It was easier to simply hide it as meta-abilities during the interview process.
There was a pause before Caitlin decided to answer this question; "My husband and sister are meta humans – victims of the Enchantress incident – and while myself and my children were spared from this, I have the experience with my husband to know how to adapt to these new abilities."
"And your sister?" Kara asked.
"Well Crystal and I were adults by then. She lived in Coast City. She told me about her ice powers and has shown me them, but it's not something I deal with daily," Caitlin pointed out. "It was adapting to my husband's newfound abilities which proved the challenge."
"And your husband would be…?" Barry knew it was Ronnie, as she had mentioned his name earlier, but he had to get confirmation now.
"Professor Ronald Raymond," Caitlin stated, a little shortly at this. "He's a physicist and an expert in his field."
Much like Martin Stein, Kara thought to Barry.
Well, Ronnie wasn't made Firestorm on this world, so makes sense he became something different here, Barry thought back.
Seems like he might have got the career Caitlin had before Crisis, Kara added of their previous thoughts on what she had known of their world's Caitlin before crisis. Barry, of course, only had the memories of this world since he wasn't a Paragon or saved from the initial Crisis.
"Are you okay?" Caitlin asked, not knowing the mental bond Kara and Barry shared.
"Yes, sorry," Kara stated.
"In deep thought," Barry stated.
"How are you with dogs?" Kara now added, remembering they hadn't mentioned Lara to Caitlin.
"Fine. You have one...?" Caitlin added, looking around as if expecting Lara to suddenly been on her heels.
"Yes. A Labrador Retriever," Lara's dad was a white German Shepherd - Krypto of Karry Universe - while her mom was a pure Golden Retriever - Powie from Prime Earth - but Lara's features were more Labrador in simple Earth appearance, especially as she had inherited her dad's coloring, too. "She's asleep in the kitchen right now," Kara explained of Lara's absence.
"Cute," Caitlin smiled at that, but didn't push the questions this time.
"Well, your resume is excellent…" he began, but Caitlin opened her mouth to say something else.
"Urm, not wanting to press my case, but my sister recently moved to this city, and I think she may know you, Mr. Allen," Caitlin now said.
"Please, call me Barry," Barry stated, smiling.
"Yes, Barry. Mila Allen is your sister, right?" Caitlin asked.
"She is," Barry stated, sensing Kara's instant annoyance at the name being mentioned. He ignored it this time. Barry had hoped this wasn't going to come up, but he couldn't stop it.
"She's a good woman," Caitlin stated. "Took her time to feel anything true to my sister, but I really do like her."
"I'm glad you do," Barry smirked at this, knowing Kara currently felt the opposite.

Alex was out for lunch today, bonding again with her old friend, Sam Arias. Today they had chosen a bar; the pair had just finished some paninis – with a naughty order of fries on the side – and had decided to get a drink at the bar together after.
"You're a devil, Alex," Sam was a laughing with her glass of wine.
"What? Because I suggested we go for a dink too?" Alex mused, and Sam smirked at this. "The panini and fries will absorb the alcohol, so we'll be fine."
"And I have my meeting with Lena Kiernan today too," Sam mused.
"How's that going?" Alex asked.
"Interesting. She's actually a nice woman," Sam stated, "but I really shouldn't go into detail on it."
"Fair enough," Alex said, taking a sip of her beer. Alex knew this was a sensitive matter and could also lead to Sam losing her job if this Lena took over the company completely. It would be better to leave the conversation alone for now.
"Remember when we were in college, and we went to that bar there?" Sam asked.
"I remember the start of those evenings…" Alex chuckled. "Ten Cents beer hour was amazing. You seemed to hold your alcohol more easily."
"Yeah, it never really affected me," Sam mused, looking at the wine glass in her hand.
"If I hadn't quit during our second year, though…" Alex mused.
"You got into your drinks," Sam nodded at that.
"A little too much," Alex mused, shaking her head. Alex knew a bit about her multiverse counterparts and was aware at least some had become alcoholic at one point. She wondered if she had been following that path before she stopped. It led to her being careful to this day, despite her connection to the forever-alcoholic John Constantine.
"But now you're back on them?" Sam question.
"Well, I'm not a drunk," Alex pointed out, almost defensively. "This is my first beer in a week. It's actually easier with John away – he likes his booze."
"John… your boyfriend-who-sleeps-with-others?" Sam raised an eyebrow at this.
"Hey, don't judge," Alex pointed out. Constantine was currently dealing with issues in Hell; it was an extended leave, having been gone for just over two weeks, but she wasn't too concerned as Raven – his former magical student – was giving her daily updates on him, due to their magical connection and her daily visits to the DEO to train the ex-Hell resident, Astra Logue.
"I'm not judging," Sam chuckled, raising her free hand. "I'm just glad you have someone."
"Oh, there's someone out there for everyone, I believe that," Alex mused.
"That's very positive of you," a new, British, voice spoke, drawing the ladies' attention to the woman who had taken the stool next to Sam.
"Well, you know what they say… keep positive," Alex frowned at their new bar-buddy.
"It's hard to when you're me," the British woman stated, with Alex and Sam raising eyebrows at one other. She wore dark clothes that covered her wrists, and her brown hair was long, with bangs completing the look.
"Well… there's always something to be positive about," Alex stated.
"Unless you're banished from the family… business and sentenced to live in purgatory all your life," the woman stated.
"Purgatory?" Alex asked, wondering exactly what the woman meant by this – knowing of the real purgatory thanks to her sister being a Paragon of Courage and John himself.
"Oh, I'm just… sorry," the woman stated. "I'm Nx… Nicky," the woman held out a hand, shaking Sam's hand who chuckled at that.
"Sam, this is Alex," Sam stated. "I'm sorry you're going through your own personal hell."
"You could say that," Nicky stated, eying Sam with interest.

Upon the reveal that Caitlin knew Mila, Kara had excused herself to the kitchen, while Barry sighed, biting his lip at this.
"Did I… did I strike a chord?" Caitlin asked, voice lowed.
"You could say that," Barry stated. "It's just my wife and my sister don't exactly see eye-to-eye. Mila has a past that Kara doesn't like – she's hurt some people close to Kara and since then Kara and her have not got along. Truthfully Mila and I weren't in contact for a while as well, and we have just started rebuilding our relationship."
"I wasn't aware," Caitlin said, giving a frown at this.
"There's no reason you should have been," Barry added.
"Well, everyone has a past," Caitlin mused. "It's a person's present that you should judge. If I had a dime for every time my previous kids had been bullied for what they had done, judged for their actions prior and not what they had done to redeem themselves, then there wouldn't be much point to continue."
"That's an interesting point of view," Barry mused. "What exactly do you know about Mila, though?"
"That she met my sister online, eventually moved to Coast City to live with her and recently got an apprenticeship at STAR Labs, which is why she and Crystal moved here," Caitlin explained. "Anything more, that's not my business."
"She's practically your family," Barry pointed out.
"Which makes us family," Caitlin smirked at this, causing Barry to pause again – he hadn't thought of that; if Mila and Crystal ever made it official, that would make Caitlin sister-in-law to Mila, and thus, part of Barry's extended family. "Not that I'd let that influence your decision in hiring me," Caitlin added.
"True," Barry nodded, but wanted to get back on topic. "Well, it seems all is in order; of course, it will take about a week for Kara and myself to–"
"You do raise a good point," Kara had returned to the room, now holding one of the twins, causing both Barry and Caitlin to look at the woman. "Mila has done a lot of damage, but that was due to events she and we couldn't entirely control. She does need to accept blame for some of it."
"Which she is doing, and has done," Barry pointed out at that, leaving Caitlin somewhat confused over their wording.
"No, she hasn't," Kara said.
"Well, not to you," Barry pointed out – with Mila scared of Kara, and Kara happy to avoid Mila, the two had had barely any contact to try and repair the damage. Mila had apologized to Alex and himself since returning to Central-National City, but not to Kara – or Mutant Earth, but that was a long story.
"What I mean is consequences have been thrown on her, but she has never accepted any blame," Kara explained, causing Barry to bite his lip. "On the other hand, since she came back, she's been nothing but loving to Zari, Adri and the twins and is always there for you, Barry, should you need her. I've had this wall up against her because of what she has done, but it's not good. If she can truthfully acknowledge what she has done and make amends I could give her a chance for you."
"I think that's very loyal of you and very fair asking her to face what she has wronged," Caitlin spoke up, having stood, and moved over to Kara still near the back of the room, where there was a little office space set up for them, along with the crib. "I'm…" but she paused, frowning, suddenly seeming disoriented.
"Caitlin, are you okay?" Barry asked but didn't get a response as Kara moved quickly to grab her; Caitlin having fainted.

Back in the bar, Alex and Samantha were still in talks with the British woman going by Nicky. She was explaining her backstory to the pair.
"My brother and I wanted to take over the family business," Nicky was saying, "but dad found out and my brother betrayed me, saying it had all been me and not him… so dad cut me out of his will, out of the business and banished me to the Pha – to another city."
"Your dad has the power to do that?" Alex asked, curious by the woman.
"He'd have made my life hell if I had stayed," Nicky mused. "He has too much control. I wouldn't have had a life there."
"That's horrible," Sam stated, pity in her voice. "What about now? Are you okay now?"
"Well, I'm in a bar in the early afternoon," Nicky mused, just as Alex's cell went off.
"Damn, I'm needed back at work," Alex stated, causing Sam to turn her attention back to her friend. "Guess we'll have to cut this short. Are you okay...?"
"I can handle myself," Sam smirked at her friend as Alex nodded, grabbing the barman's attention to pay for her drink before dismissing herself, pausing to nod at Nicky before leaving.
"Your friend seems nice," Nicky voiced.
"She is. We lost touch for a long time, but it's like that time never passed," Sam smiled at the door Alex had just left through before turning her attention to Nicky. "Look, I should head back to work soon, myself, but if you need help…?"
"Oh no, I'm just looking for friends," Nicky stated, a small smile on her face.
"Well, I'm always happy to find more friends," Sam stated.
"I hardly know you," Nicky pointed out. "And yet I told you everything about me."
"You want a potted autobiography?" Sam chuckled, looking at her watch. "I've got maybe 10 minutes before I need to leave, so what do you want to know?"
"Everything," Nicky stated.
"Urm, that would take a lot longer than 10 minutes," Sam pointed out.
"Oh. Well, in that case… I've told you about my family, what about yours?" Nicky asked.
"Ah. Well, that is a little bit of a sad story," Sam admitted. "I was adopted. I never knew my birth family."
"Is that so?" Nicky asked, her eyes lighting up for a moment before she composed herself again.
"I lost my adopted dad at a young age, but my adopted mother raised me – she was strong, but strict. Any questions of my birth family were forbidden quite quickly so I knew not to ask. Fast forward to college, I did a DNA test, and it came back that I had no known family at all, so that was disappointing," Sam mused.
"That would be," Nicky nodded.
"It would be helpful to know if there's any family history for my health though, given some of things I've discovered about myself, but I suppose that's out of my control," Sam explained.
"Like what?" Nicky asked.
"Like… you know what, it's been nice talking but I suppose I should head back to work," Sam realized she'd been talking to a complete stranger about her personal life and hadn't known why. There was something about this Nicky.
"It's not been 10 minutes yet," Nicky pointed out.
"Even so, when you're the big boss, you need to show people you're still dedicated and I have an important meeting I should prepare for anyway," Sam stated, calling over the barman now to pay her bill. "It was nice meeting you."
"Well, you know where to find me if you need me again," Nicky pointed out, indicating the bar. Sam chuckled as she turned to head toward the door.
"Why don't…?" Sam began, turning back to ask Nicky one more question, but the woman had vanished. "Odd…" Sam muttered, shaking her head before leaving the bar.

Back at Kara and Barry's townhouse, the couple had moved Caitlin to the couch, given she had fainted, but she came around rather quickly – even before Barry could get ice for her head.
"What just happened?" Caitlin asked, shaking herself.
"You collapsed," Kara pointed out. "Just get up slowly..." Caitlin slowly sat up into a sitting position with Kara standing by in case she came over weak again.
"Lucky you were right next to Kara for her to catch you. She has good reflexes and is stronger than she looks," Barry added, not wanting questions on how Kara could support Caitlin's weight by herself. "Is this something that's happened before?"
"No, it's not," Caitlin stated, but now she seemed fine. "I was just overcome… like there was something where I was standing or near that area…" Caitlin shook her head, not sure what she was saying.
The Totems! Kara instantly thought; they had put the Totems away in the desk they kept in the back area, near where Caitlin had fallen.
"I'm sorry, I really don't know what happened. I'll make an appointment with my doctor to get a checkup," Caitlin stated.
"Not a bad idea," Barry said, not wanting to indicate their real thoughts. They needed to check the Totems to confirm.
"I hope this doesn't affect my application?" Caitlin asked as she got to her feet.
"Not in the slightest," Kara stated, smiling at Caitlin now.
"Good. I apologize again for that," Caitlin stated.
"Think nothing of it," Kara said.
"And you will hear back from us, one way or another, by next week," Barry spoke up, a little distracted though.
"I look forward to it. This is the best job I have come across since we moved here, so if you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to call me," Caitlin stated, as Kara showed her out, looking back at her husband now, whose thoughts were going wild.
"Well, like my husband said, you'd find out by next week if you have the job," Kara stated. "We had a few other candidates."
"Of course," Caitlin nodded. "And don't forget my advice about your husband's sister," she added.
"I won't," Kara nodded as Caitlin took the steps out of the house, turning to nod at Kara, who waved back as she closed the door. With speed though, she ran back into the office space at the back of the lounge; Barry had already gotten the three Totems out of the drawer and opened the boxes.
"The Earth Totem is glowing," Barry pointed out, Kara seeing this too – the Fire and Water Totems still seemed quite dormant.
"Well that makes sense considering her alternates,' Kara said mused could see Barry was confused by this statement. "Several of her alternates are known as Mother Nature because they have Earthen-like meta powers."
"Oh," Barry said, somewhat remembering something like that from Karry Universe's Amelia.
"'The Earth Totem has a loose connection to the Death Totem, as it's someone Mila knows but not directly'," Kara quoted, remembering those words from Barry the other week.
"Seems a lot of roads lead to Mila," Barry turned, looking up at Kara now. "It also seems Caitlin's words hit you hard."
"I've had this thing against Mila for so long," Kara sighed. "The prison break on Mutant Earth, her working with Enchantress, betraying us… but Caitlin is right. It's not who Mila is now. She's been nothing but perfect with the kids, has impressed Alex in their parole meetings and is, in fact, doing very well at her apprenticeship according to Aunt Astra."
"She's trying to make amends – especially now she's been given the Death Totem," Barry stated, with Kara acknowledging this.
-SuperEarth-
Crystal Snow came into her apartment, located in the Central part of Central-National City, which she shared with her girlfriend, Mila Allen. She'd had a positive day, with a happy shift at the restaurant followed by a good rehearsal for their amateur production of Beautiful: The Carol King Musical.
It had taken Crystal time to adapt to the move from Coast City, having to leave her friends and her job, but being involved in the acting scene here in Central-National had helped and opened her up. It wasn't like she had a choice as Mila had to move to Central-National City once she became the owner of the Death Totem.
"Hey honey," Crystal called out, entering the apartment to see where Mila was, but paused to see her partner on the phone.
"Of course. Next week? I'd like that," Mila was saying on the phone. "Jitters? Maybe Big Belly Burger? Oh, the mall. Yeah, I can do that."
With Mila on the phone, Crystal moved off to the bedroom to get changed, curious as to who her girlfriend was meeting the next week. When she returned, it was to find Mila hanging up the phone, a big smile on her face.
"Care to let me know what that was about?" Crystal asked. "It almost sounded like you were making a date."
"Kind of… It was Kara," Mila stated, causing Crystal to pause.
"Kara? As in your sister-in-law who hates you and never wants anything to do with you?" Crystal asked. "The one you're terrified of?"
"Well, not terrified..." Mila voiced at this, to a raised eyebrow from Crystal. "To be fair, I did once tell her I hated her and wanted nothing to do with her, but I told Barry I wanted to make amends with her... it was your sister that turned the tables," Mila stated.
"Caitlin? What has she…?" Crystal asked, curious.
"She's applied to be their nanny," Mila stated, "and she offered some sobering words of advice to Kara, apparently. I don't think she's completely ready to forgive me yet but willing to hear me out."
"Caitlin has always been the voice of reason in our family. She had to be with me and mom warring all the time," Crystal mused. "So, you're meeting her at the mall?"
"Yes, next week. We're going to walk the mall and just… hash out the past," Mila stated.
"Remember, you can't blame everything on Enchantress and the loss of your soul," Crystal pointed out.
"Even though it all went wrong when Enchantress took my soul and made me her servant?" Mila pointed out.
"And that's exactly the attitude which will make Kara back off from forgiving you. Enchantress had nothing to do with that situation with the jailbreak, Echo, and Tremor," Crystal added, knowing about that time in Mila's life thanks to Mila herself.
"Ew," Mila shook at this. "It was all because I had feelings for Oscar – Echo – and didn't like that he's been locked up," she moved off to the kitchen at this. "I didn't know he was just as bad."
"Wasn't he your son from another world?" Crystal added, chuckling at this.
"That's what I meant by ew," Mila pointed out.
"I would ew that too," Crystal chuckled as Mila began loading the dishwasher. "But you can't blame him either Mila. Kara won't respond to that." Mila gave a nod knowing Crystal was right.
"I've been going over what I could say to Kara for months. It's my only way into theirs and the kids' lives, which is all I've wanted ever since I knew there was a chance with my brother. Plus, I used to love Kara too… seems like a lifetime ago," she mused at this, leaving an awkward silence between the two.
"Well, want me to make dinner?" Crystal voiced now, changing the subject.
"Actually, I got some Buffalo Chicken from the store earlier, I just need to throw that in the oven with some vegetables and we're good to go," Mila pointed out.
"Sounds delicious," Crystal smiled at this. She was glad for her girlfriend, making amends for her past.
It also helped that Mila was less angry, less emotional, and less dark than when they first met – it had what attracted Crystal to her to begin with, but she loved Mila now no matter what personality she showed, and ever since Enchantress was banished from the world, Mila had been a much more positive person in general.

Kara hung up the phone and sighed to herself.
"Well, it's done," she stated, turning to Barry who had since collected the girls from their schools and done dinner. He was clearing up the plates in the kitchen.
"I'm very proud of you," Barry stated, moving over to kiss his wife.
"Well, it's your sister. Unless she was to die, I'd have to deal with her eventually. Besides, if she can be anything like the Amelia that visits from Karry Universe, I could actually get on with her," Kara mused.
"Spoken like the true Paragon of Courage," Barry laughed at that.
"Indeed," Kara frowned at her husband's choice of words. "So, Caitlin was our last candidate. I honestly think she's the best out of the six we've interviewed," she left the kitchen, with Barry following, to head back to the living room where the babies were napping with Lara. Kara picked up the notes they'd made on each of the six nanny candidates from the desk holding the Totems.
"Ava Sharpe was a mistake, she was way too strict," Barry mused, looking over her shoulder at their notes, "and that Esperanza Cruz was a little weird – why go by the nickname Spooner?" Barry added. Kara laughed at that.
"That Nate Heywood guy was cool," Kara mused at this.
"A little too laid back for my liking," Barry pointed out, which Kara had to agree. "Mona Wu was a nice girl though."
"Too immature," Kara pointed out. "I think Zari would end up babysitting her."
"True," Barry chuckled. "I did like Kendra Saunders," he voiced at that.
"Too inexperienced," Kara stated. "She did admit becoming a nanny would be a career change and didn't seem too comfortable around the twins."
"Yeah, so it's got to be Caitlin. Plus, we've got to consider the twins showing their Kryptonian and Speed Force powers," Barry added. "Caitlin could deal with it – I don't know if the others could. And we have to choose someone we can trust with our secret. From our own Crystal to the multiverse, we know that's Caitlin."
"Especially when she becomes the Bearer of the Earth Totem," Kara sighed at this. They had since put the Totems back but knew that Caitlin would have to accept being the Bearer of the Earth Totem regardless on their nanny decision.
"That's going to be a fun one to tell her. 'Congrats, you got the job, but it comes with the addendum of a super-powered necklace'," Barry joked.
"True," Kara laughed at that. "But we know other Caitlins who've dealt with powers happily. I wonder what power her Ronnie has though. She said he was a meta, but not his powers."
"If I know the multiverse, he could be a fire meta," Barry mused, knowing Ronnies across the multiverse had usually ended up as a part of Firestorm, but since Martin Stein had been working with Jefferson Jackson on this world when the meta event with Enchantress had happened, those two had become Firestorm instead.
"Funny, an ice meta for a sister and a possible fire meta for a husband," Kara mused.
"And the power of the Earth Totem too, literally three elements in one family," Barry mused at this. "If one of their kids get air powers, they have all four elements like the Avatar TV show Adri is watching. Although that's one person controlling all the element themselves so…"
"Barry," Kara said, to break Barry out of his ramble she knew was coming.
"Sorry," Barry went red at this.
"Well, when are we going to call Caitlin and tell her?" Kara asked.
"We told her it would be approximately a week, so maybe when you see Mila, I'll ask her back over, give her the job and then explain the Totem," Barry reasoned.
"Better you than me with the Totem," Kara mused, kissing Barry now.

At Fort Rozz, in an unused part of the prison-turned-Justice-League-headquarters, Nxylgsptinz had found herself a room to use as her own.
After seeking out Jax-Ur and seeing how useless the security systems here were against a Fifth Dimensional Imp, she had decided to use the former prison ship as her own base of operations. Of course, she couldn't use magic to help, but being from the Fifth Dimension helped her see the world in a clearer light and manipulate magical energy for her own benefit.
Now though, she was musing over her conversation with Samatha Arias – everything the woman had said, everything Nxyly had learned about her, lead her the correct conclusion: she was Reign. She had a questionable past, problems with her own DNA and could hold her drink like any good Kryptonian. But that personality, that identity, was buried deep. How to unlock it?
As if a lightbulb had gone off, Nxyly opened her eyes wide, having had them closed in contemplation up until this moment.
"Of course, Reign was locked by the Children of Juru, the Kryptonian witches… she needs magic to be unlocked," Nxyly spoke to herself. "It's a good thing this world is abundant on magic," she smirked to herself, wondering where to turn to so to unlock the Reign personality and, ultimately, free herself from the power dampening cuff on her wrist.
The consequences of Reign being free on this world, or Sam being lost to the personality, didn't bother her, so long as she could get her powers back, because once she had them, she could return home and reign fire on her own family…
Post-chapter Note: And there you have it. Another chapter done. We now know who will own the Earth Totem, and Nxyly is moving closer and closer to unlocking Reign from Sam already…
