Chapter Twelve: Hugged By The Future
The wave of shadow and color washed over the galaxy. Issei's wave of shadow was felt by the Emperor of mankind himself, though many heard the message. That wave of shadow had even reached the darkest parts of the galaxy and into the most twisted part of the Immaterium.
In deep space, a giant ship the size of a small moon drifted towards a beautiful purple warp rift, a crack in time and space itself. This was a craft world ship, belonging to an ancient race known as the Aeldari. A race that held powerful psychic abilities, but fell from grace a long time ago. Their empire that spanned across many solar systems was long since gone. Some of the remaining Eldar lived in these great floating cities.
In this quiet world, a being sat in a quiet room gazing into the stars through a stained-glass window. His skin was pale white, and his long black hair which reached behind his shoulders was tied up in a top-notch. His smooth perfect features were unlike any human. His eyes were tinted a pale amber-red. He wore a black tunic with white-lined patterns and sharp cauldrons over it. Gold rings around his wrists, while in the center of his clothes, lay a blue gem outlined by a gold circle.
The man took a long doubtful gaze into the abyss of space. This man was Eldrad Ulthran, an Eldar. Beings as old as the universe itself but the most important was that Eldrad is a Farseer. A title that was only given to the most powerful who had a wide array of psychic specialties, with divination and precognition as the most common skills. Eldrad was renowned for changing past events to affect the future.
Eldrad gazed into the stars only to hear a small echo, he oddly wondered what could make a sound like that. He looked deeply into the void only to be brought to his knees by a mind-breaking voice. The language was so complex and different that he could barely understand it.

Eldrad started to hyperventilate, having never felt such power like this. This shadow crushed all light and belittled color. Eldrad's eyes glowed with bright white light as a vision of grand proportion entered his mind.
He witnessed a vision that he never thought would come. The flourishing of the Eldar race across the galaxy, all of them happy without the hold of She Who Thirsts. The Eldar flourished through grand cities and healthy fields. They were at peace and happy, but all of them were protected by a being in black armor. Eldrad watched this person being greeted by those around him, the being took off his smooth helmet to show the face of a Mon'keigh. He happily greeted them, and while many of the Eldar did the same, they cheered his name.
All of the Eldar cheered his name.
"Issei! Issei! issei! Issei!" They were all happy and he watched a figure behind Issei clap his armoured shoulder. A female Elder of stunning beauty, her golden hair like a shining sun, and her green eyes shined like emeralds. She wore green armor and smiled at Issei. Eldrad's mouth had dropped to the ground as the being next to this Mon'keigh was Isha goddess of harvest, fertility, life, healing, and growth and the divine mother of the Aeldari species in Aeldari Mythology. She was being so kind and helpful to this Mon'keigh.
Eldrad was snapped out of his vision. He slowly stood up, not truly believing what was happening, witnessing a new age for the Eldar like that.
Many Eldar guards burst through the doors, all of them bearing special spears. Eldrad looked at them with a serious look.
"Call the other craft worlds now!" he yelled. The guards quickly ran off to follow his orders. Eldrad took a calm breath. Today was a new day. The race for a new power was beginning and the invitation was sent out across the universe. Eldrad could only wonder what the future held for their species and how this Mon'keigh is part of this, either way, he would find him and bring him to the craft world. The fate of the Aeldari depended on it.
Deep within the heart of a red planet known as Mars. This was the home to the Mechanicus, a cult that worshiped machines. Their ability to make and fix machines was next to none. Unfortunately, most of them were unable to feel the shadow, but one did. In the heart of Mars itself locked away behind black stone gates of colossal size lay an ancient being, called Ag'ladroth, also known as the Void Dragon or simply The Dragon.
It was an amalgamation of metal and energy forming itself into a devious serpent with wings. Crackling energy came out from its mouth and eyes.
The being was only a piece of what it used to be. The Void Dragon was once a mighty god that ruled over many but now it could only wait for something, but nothing happened in its prison, so it could only wait as a quiet echo rang out. Then a wave of shadow rushed the area. It was a being of pure energy easily mistakable for a god, yet it felt an uneasy feeling built up inside of it.

The Void Dragon held its head in aching pain, and the shadow soon passed over. It could only feel fear, as the planet of Mars shook, causing massive tremors. The Dragon could not comprehend what it had just heard, it thought they were only stories. They were from before the old ones, before the C'tan that ate the stars, and before the galaxy, there were three. It only thought they were fairy tales, spindly tales of falsehood to trick others. The Void Dragon knew better now, it was back. A master of creation was returning.
The Dragon was afraid it was here but what were his plans and what was he making? What could the Dragon do?
It could only wait for the end. A new age of the unknown was rushing upon them all. The Dragon wondered if the silent king would make a stand but there was one problem with that idea, how do you trap something that makes up the very fabric of the universe, it would be impossible. He was there at the beginning.
In the warp a realm of pure madness and chaos. Where monsters of pure nightmare lived, and unimaginable horrors lurked in every corner. Screams of terror echoed through the warp. Warp storms constantly rip space apart and endless destruction with every step you take.
This was hell for many but home to many more. Four Dark Gods ruled this place and had their own domain. In one of these strange hellish lands, the first chaos god to feel the shadow dwelled in a fortress that never stayed the same shape, the fortress always changing. The doors and stairways wined and turned in every different direction almost every second. Doors shrunk and grew and cracks in the walls whisper forbidden knowledge that was always changing. Surrounding this mighty fortress was a crystal maze full of deadly traps and terrifying monsters.
A being of many mouths, eyes, ears, tails, hands, and arms with so many faces sat on its throne or was it floating in the air? The creature never even took a step on the ground. This was the lord of change, a being that held a million answers but was made of an infinity of questions, Tzeentch the changer of ways.
Tzeentch had felt something amiss in the great plan yet could not figure it out, for once the changer of ways, was at a complete loss not to mention that his key pawn Magnus the Red was missing in his grand scheme. Something felt off as many whispers started to pipe out from the shadows. Tzeentch could feel some force heading in its direction. The being watched in horror as its maze of infinite paths was filled with shadow the mere sight of it horrified the chaos god. Demon princes fled the maze as some of them were swallowed up by it.
He watched as the shadow burst through the castle walls and the sound of one message echoed through the halls. There was no strife in its voice or hate, it was only there to inform, and that scared Tzeentch the most. The message only told Tzeentch something was here, and it didn't need the permission of a chaos god.

The Impossible fortress was mapped out and covered by this shadow. The Lord of change didn't even understand what the message meant. The shadows soon moved past the realm of Tzeentch making the Lord of Change confused at the whole event that just transpired right in front of him. The Lord of change had questions. It's many fists gripped in anger. One way or another he would find out who sent the message.
"He who made dark, I wonder who you are," Tzeentch said out loud. Though it did wonder how it would fare in its favorite game. The thousands of faces all smiled the eyes of the past and future were needed for this case of shadows. " I wonder if you bleed shadow?"
Deep in a misty area of the warp, where the mountains reached the sky and the trees ripped through the earth stood two hulking green figures with sharp teeth and glowing red eyes, wearing nothing and baring they're green skin.
These two beings were locked in Constant fighting ignoring all that was around them, mountains were crushed. The Earth shook and lots of teeth were flying. Their punches broke time and space, the kicks created hurricanes. Stars were smashed and planets were cracked. One punched the other so hard that a thunderstorm was spat out of the god's mouth.
These two were the gods of the Orks. The Orks were a race that lived for one thing, war. The Orks were perhaps the most savage and insane race. War was necessary for an Ork, like how humans need air to live. War was a way of life for an Ork so imagine how battle-crazed their gods have to be.
Gork was the one who threw the punch. The Ork God is so strong and robust that their reflection in the mirror-universe of the Warp is a potent force indeed. The other warp gods don't even bother the two, for why would they need to, with such strength and mad fury you wouldn't want to draw attention to yourself.
Gork, who the Orks say is brutal but kunnin', and Mork, who is kunnin' but brutal. The two were completely different. The two had bashed each other faces and were lost in combat. A shadow had swept across the area. The Orks were hit with a voice so loud it stamped out any noise they made.

Making them stop fighting as they both had confused looks on their face. Mork gazed at Gork as he punched his shoulder.
"Oi what you doing ye dumb git, no one said to stop fighting," Mork yelled in a very thick British accent.
Gork had angrily punched Mork in the stomach. In retaliation, Mork picked up a bunch of boulders and threw them at Gork.
"Stop it ye, da ya hear some big ominous voice out there telling us it's here," Grok yelled back Mork then looked around the mountains and scratched his head confused. "Uh, I guess Iz did, da voice was so loud I thought iz punch ye too hard. but where this git at anyway,"
Both Mork and Gork looked around lifting rocks, trying to find out who spoke.
"Oi, what's da matter anyway, if it anit here, let's get back to Krumpen!" Gork yelled as he raised his fist.
"Knock it off da you realise that maybe if this thingz voice could reach here don't you realise what thiz meanz?" Mork asked only for Gork's red eyes to widen in surprise.
"If we can hears it, but cant'z see him, that mean da he must'z be really, really, BIG!," Gork said in shock. Mork then smiled in joy. Gork and Mork both had straightforward ideas.
"If it's bigger than us that mean, we can krumping and da krump mean a WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!," Both of them screamed in pure mad joy.
"I can't wait-" Mork was cut off by a swift punch to the face from Gork.
"You'd think da you are going to fight the dark one," Grok cracked his knuckles. "You and I both know gud enemies are hard ta find,"
"COME ON U BIG SOFTY," Mork yelled as they both continued fighting. Both of them screamed so loud it echoed through the warp.
All the Matriarchs sat down around a giant fire pit with gray and brown stones surrounding the hole, the wood would expand as it burned in the fire. They rested in a purple forest with Leman and Mortarion guarding Angron.
Angron's arms were tied with chains, all of them knew she could break out of those chains easily, but the gesture still held some meaning of defeat. The Khan had quietly watched over a sleeping Issei, who was lying on the ground in pure bliss. Konrad did the same, only she did it a bit closer, while Lorgar stared into the fire in deep thought. She had so many questions now, this was her first time truly meeting the supernatural and it disturbed her. She could only gaze into the fire wondering when Issei would wake up.
"Oi Lorgar what happened?" Lorgar was snapped out of her daze by Leman, who held an uneasy expression. She looked around to see all eyes on her and had the full attention of the group. Lorgar took a deep breath and all of them could see how troubled she was.
"I think it would be better if Angron explained from the beginning and I mean the very beginning starting with Issei, wouldn't you agree," Lorgar said. Angron nodded calmly.
Leman turned to Angron expecting a violent slur only for her to be very calm. Leman narrowed her eyes while Mortarion stared silently. Angron then relaxed as she chuckled. Almost all the Matriarchs were taken aback by it. Angron's laugh wasn't sarcastic or mocking, she sounded happy. Leman was the most surprised, ever since this boy popped up, Konrad was shy and Angron had become this entirely new person, not to mention that damn flower that was tucked behind her ear. Leman started to question if she drank too much mjod.
Angron could see her sister's befuddled expression then she kindly smiled but soon gathered herself to tell Leman the truth.
"Leman what I'm about to tell you might sound unbelievable, but Issei is something else, something more," Angron said, Leman raised a brow so did Mortarion. Leman was under the assumption that Issei was some sort of a psyker. Also not to mention him being from the twenty-first century and Mortarion agreed. Leman wondered where that black armor came from. Leman tried to pull it off but to no avail. The helmet did come off but that was because Angron did it. Mortarion despised psykers speaking from personal experience. Angron could see the strife and it worried her.
"So, what is the boy a psyker?" Leman asked. Angron shook her head.
"Let me tell you about the first time I met Issei," Angron said. Mortarion snickers under her gas mask.
"Don't you mean the first time you beat him," Mortarion said with a snarl. Angron glared at her sister but knew she was right and Angron had to live with that. Angron knew she had to make it up to Issei, but she would think of something later.
"Yes, well during my fight, I was choking Issei and then he did something to me. A feat, not even the Emperor could achieve," Angron said gaining both of their attention. Mortarion's interest peaked, this Issei did something that The Emperor was incapable of doing, and it brought her a little joy. Leman crossed her arms and looked down at Angron.
"And what did he do Angron, what could this simple boy do," Leman asked sarcastically, for she didn't believe a single word that came out of her sister, then again it wasn't in Angron's nature to lie. Angron smirked at Leman's high and mighty attitude.
"Well Leman, Issei removed the butcher's nail from me, that was something even the Emperor was incapable of. Issei saved me, Leman," Angron said with pride not showing any sign of regret. Leman's eyes were wide like dinner plates and Mortarion was flabbergasted. The Khan who listened from afar looked at Issei.
"Somehow this boy has given what the Emperor could not give Angron, a life. Issei I know not if you are against us, but thank you, perhaps when you awake from your slumber we could exchange a few words," The Khan watched Issei stir in his sleep as some of his hair fell on his forehead. Konrad's hand gently pushed it away from his face while The Khan was stunned by Konrad's action. Konrad glanced at The Khan but turned her attention back to Issei.
"These are strange times," The Khan thought.
Leman stood from her ground in shock, she didn't know what to say, that Issei had done the impossible, but he also sounded incredibly dangerous. Leman had to bring Issei to the others. Rogal's original plan should be acted on again, making a prison for Issei. Mortarion knew of Angron's tragic fate, honestly the two never really conversed but she did understand the hatred for the emperor. Mortarion like Angron was robbed of her destiny as well. If this Issei could heal, maybe he could do more for the imperium of man.
"Then why did you run from us, Angron?" Leman yelled, wanting to know the truth. Mortarion knew why Angron might have taken the boy, to protect him from us.
"Because I didn't want him to be under the imperium, I didn't want the Emperor to know of him because I know he would use him, he would abuse Issei's abilities," Angron said with a strong voice, Leman was angered by this treachery. "But I know I was wrong, I'm going to go back to my legion and fix my mess and then I will be no one's slave again,"
Leman did agree with Angron's last words, she oddly smiled and gave a glance to the unconscious Issei.
"Hey if you can make Angron admit defeat maybe you're not so bad after all, but I will still keep my eye on you," Leman thought. Issei did free their sister and they could feel her aura. It was quite nice actually.
"He was the one that drained the color of this world," Lorgar expressed with great worry. All of them looked at her again.
"He took all of the color away just by saying a couple of words and you know what the scary part is, I could not feel an ounce of psychic energy on him. It was like I was looking at a shadow. Not at a blank where I would feel disgusted but welcomed by a familiar void it was unnatural even for me," Lorgar said.
Angron knew why Issei did it, it was some form of boosting his strength. Konrad had goosebumps for the first time when it happened and many of the others felt the same. Leman knew she had to bring the boy back; he had many answers to their questions. The wolf queen sat down and deeply pondered on the situation at hand. Lorgar couldn't help but remember the attacks Issei said. Lorgar knew all Issei wanted to do was protect them. He had that pure human kindness in him while also having the fury to back it up.
"You know he named his attack after you two, Angron and Konrad," Lorgar said gaining both of their attention, Angron felt a little jittery that Issei named an attack after her, what a great honor. Konrad didn't like it but still felt honored the same, she did, however, wonder what this technique looked like. The Khan herself wondered what the boy was capable of. Leman wanted to thank this Issei, but she felt something was amiss, they all needed more answers from the boy when he woke up. Leman tried to wake him up, damn this boy could sleep through a firing squad. Mortarion's home world smells couldn't wake him up either and that was the smell of death. Issei started to softly speak in his sleep.
"Angron why are you wearing that bunny suit, never mind It looks good on you, with those muscles~," Issei said in bliss. Making Angron blush at his words. Leman turned her attention towards Angron.
"What the hell is a bunny suit?" Leman asked Angron.
Angron shrugged her shoulders, Angron remembered what she asked Issei when he could dream something normal what would it be? Angron wondered if the clothing Issei talked about was beautiful or something naughty. Konrad didn't even know what the heck Issei was talking about, but he did sound happy and that was good enough for her.
Mortarion then punched Angron in the arm and waited for a reaction. Angron had an annoyed look on her face, but not furious.
"What are you doing?" Leman asked.
Angron then glared at Mortarion with annoyed eyes.
"I would ask the same or are the fumes, of your beloved home world rotting your brain," Angron grumbled. Mortarion had wide eyes, if she had done that to the old Angron she would have been a storm of fists and rage. Leman laughed at the insult thrown at Mortarion.
"So, it is true!" Leman shouted happily; she was happy her sister was sane. Leman now understood how the pieces fell together, which explains the blood all over the camp, and the wound on the back of her head when she fled. Angron wasn't losing her mind she was making a strategic withdrawal.
Angron sighed in defeat thinking this was probably going to be a re-occurrence. Angron smiles at least Issei would be safe. Leman gasped at her sister's expression.
"Look at you, you're smiling, this boy has much to be rewarded when we get back," Leman said. Angron needed to say more good deeds about Issei, if the other sisters were in his favor, then his safety would be more favorable for a good life.
"Leman he once saved me from a wretched Xenos, I was paralyzed from the neck down, it had poisoned me and I surely would have perished, but even after everything I did. I even forbid him from coming back to the camp. Issei still came back to my side and slayed the creature,"
Leman liked the sound of this Issei, a brave warrior. Mortarion oddly still needed more than just a deed alone, this Issei needed to be interrogated thoroughly.
All of them wanted to know more about Issei when he woke up from his deep slumber. All of them had to get to the camp fast, but thankfully they were halfway there. After a short rest, they'd be able to make it before the morning. Leman stood up, stretched then took off Angron's chains and threw her axes by her feet. Mortarion stood her ground and grasped her scythe. Angron herself had a flabbergasted face.
"What are you doing?" Mortarion spoke out. Angron herself looked to the ground.
"Go on take them, the nails are removed and that means the old you is gone and I think it's time for me to get acquainted with this new sister in front of me," Leman said.
Angron could feel the love emanating from Leman; she had only felt it with the ones she called family. Leman had seen her as a sister, and Angron felt her heart beat with joy. Angron could only think how this was all possible because of Issei.
"Thank you, Issei, thank you for everything."
Angron raised from her spot and clipped her axes on her belt, while slowly wrapping the chains around her arms. She could see a proud smirk on her sister's face at a respectful choice. Angron held her hand out for Leman to shake it. Leman gladly clasped her hand and shook it. All of them could hardly believe what they saw today if it weren't happening right in front of them.
"To a new beginning," Angron said. Leman couldn't have agreed more she then looked to the two moons, dazzled by the majestic star systems. Leman looked to the group and gave a stiff sniff.
"Alright let's pack it up if we keep up the pace, we'll make it before the morning sets," Leman said.
All of them began to get ready to leave. Konrad had gently picked up Issei and held him in a bridal style. Leman turned towards Konrad who held Issei comfortably resting in Konrad's arms. Konrad had given the wolf queen an annoyed expression.
"What is it?" Konrad said expecting an insult about to be tossed her way, Leman held a stiff laugh.
"Oh, it's nothing just let's just continue the journey," Leman said turning her back to Konrad. The night hunter then raised her brow.
"You're going to tease me, to no end when we get back," Konrad said she didn't even have to use her future vision to foresee that. Konrad then remembered a little promise she had to keep.
"Hey, Lorgar!" Konrad called out, Lorgar turned around to see Konrad holding Issei out and gave a hint to hold him. Lorgar did take Issei in her arms but wondered why this was happening. This whole trip Konrad has been nothing but careful with Issei so what could she be up to? Konrad then tapped Angron on the shoulder, she turned around to see Konrad with a sadistic smile. Konrad in a quick action punched Angron in the face so hard she fell to the floor; everyone was shocked by her action. Leman was about to step in, only to hear Angron wildly laughing at Konrad. Angron picked herself off the ground and gave her sister a sly smirk as a trickle of blood leaked from the left side of her mouth, she wiped it away.
"I thought you forgot but I should know better, at least you're not getting soft on me. I don't know if I'm able to handle more of these sisterly bonds," Angron said, sarcasm in her voice. Konrad could only walk ahead of everyone silently smirking while walking away from the group. Lorgar would have facepalmed if she weren't holding someone. The Khan disapproved of her action, but at least it didn't escalate into a fight.
Leman put out the fire and soon everyone was off to see what awaited them at the base camp, only for them to stop to the sound of flapping wings. All of them instantly recognized the noise. In a blur, a figure dropped from the sky and landed right in front of the group. All of them calmly eyed the newcomer. Their beloved sister Sanguinius had landed just in front of them, a worried look on her face that was washed away instantly seeing all of her sisters were safe. Leman smiled in joy, The Khan smirked, Lorgar was overtaken by joy, and even the Silent Mortarion's tense posture relaxed. Konrad couldn't have cared in the slightest, while Angron watched unaware of how her sister would react to her new state.
"Hello, my sisters thank the Throne you are all alright," Sanguinius was elated though the sight of Angron in the group did unnerve her. The angel walked past the group stood in front of Angron and gave a concerned gaze at her.
Angron averted her gaze, but she could feel the same kind of warming concerned aura for her wellbeing, she cursed in her mind.
"Dammit Issei, why did you have to make my life better?" Angron thought, the truth was she never hated Sanguinius, in fact oddly enough when the idea of Sanguinius passed her mind, it always soothed her soul only for a bit, before the nails would punish her. Sanguinius was the best warrior out of any of them but always had an honorable heart, she was a true warrior. Angron now knew this was a kindness she gave the others and was not a front to scheme against them.
"Angron?" Sanguinius asked trying to make some eye contact. Sanguinius could feel something different about her sister. Angron looked calm and she surprisingly wasn't even frowning. Sanguinius then had suspicious eyes, Angron was never this quiet and she could feel her aura as well. What was even happening here?
"Angron?" Sanguinius called out wanting to see Angron. Only to be meant with a tranquil calm face. There was no strife or anger, only a soft complexion that carried a desire to learn and a need to apprehend. Sanguinius felt her mouth drop to see a new person standing right in front of her.
"Angron?" Sanguinius asked again, truly not believing what she was seeing. Angron simply walked around her and looked back at the Angel. Sanguinius felt herself start to question reality. That was not the Angron she knew, this person was someone else. Angron felt whole and smiled.
"Are you coming or not sister?" Angron spoke with no harshness in her voice, only a simple tone. Sanguinius stood her ground not sure what to say, the hand of Leman Russ clasped Sanguinius' shoulder. Leman grabbed her drinking horn off her hip and took a swig, she wiped her mouth of the bitter mead and then offered some of the liquid to Sanguinius.
"Here, I think you might need this," Leman said in a tired voice. Leman watched as Sanguinius accepted the horn and took a big swig as well. Lorgar walked by Sanguinius and grabbed the horn, taking a large swig of the drinking horn too. Both Leman and Sanguinius had stunned expressions.
"Aren't your beliefs supposed to say no to alcohol?" Leman said in a stunned voice. Lorgar gave a tired gaze.
"At this point, I don't think it amounts to anything," Lorgar said in an exhausted voice.
Leman took it back and walked with the group. Sanguinius followed close behind. Her befuddled confusion was replaced by sound interest as she stared at Issei. Her gaze latched on to him. Sanguinius couldn't help but watch him.
"He looks exactly like the one in my vision but freed, not Issei, that vision shall never come to pass I'll make sure of it," Sanguinius believed that no harm shall come to Issei and by the emperor, her flaw would not be known by him. Unfortunately, Sanguinius' long gaze did not go unnoticed, Konrad caught her glance at Issei. Konrad found Sanguinius to be acting strange, she almost looked famished in a way.
"What are you thinking?" Konrad thought. All of them were reminded of the path ahead they had a long walk back to the base. Though Sanguinius did have a couple of questions for them perhaps they could answer that blackout from earlier.
Meanwhile, Issei was dreaming like no tomorrow.
Issei smiled and laughed as he calmly sat underneath a tree enjoying the lush shade. All around him were blossoming fields. Issei rested his back against the tree. Issei finally believed he was at peace or in a state where he could keep moving forward. Issei gazed up into the endless starry night above him.
"Hey, Issei," Que's voice called out. Issei turned to his right to see Que standing there. Issei wasn't startled or spooked, but he could see a proud smile on Que's face. Issei jumps up and gives Que a great big hug. He gladly accepts and returns the hug. In a show of respect, Que pats Issei's back to let him go.
Issei has teary eyes of joy. Que could see how greatly relieved Issei must have been.
"Thank you, Thank you so much, Que it's over I'm finally free!" Issei cheered, he felt so good and free. Que joyfully laughed with Issei as the two enjoyed the landscape.
"You see I knew you could do it Issei, look, and your words, seriously that's some beyond beginner stuff right there, you're natural at this. I mean you have some natural skill with these shadows," Que said bumping his shoulder. Issei could tell by Que's tone that he meant it, but he couldn't help but feel maybe he should ask if it was true.
"Really?" Issei asked, Que's response was a sly eyebrow raise and a smirk on his face.
"Kid you got the making of greatness in you and you're only going to go up, you hear me," Que said gently. Issei shyly scratches at the back of his head.
"Thanks, Que-Sama," Issei said, though there was an odd look on his face when Issei called him that. If Issei didn't know any better Que expressed a shy embarrassment not that he hated what Issei called him, almost like shy to even receive such praise.
"Come on kid we don't have to use such formal titles, Que is fine ehehehehehehe," Que said awkwardly. Issei tries to hold in a chuckle at his friend's expression, but a small laugh breaks through. Issei then had a question pop into his mind.
"Hey, Que why are you here, did something happen?" Issei asked.
Issei could see his mood slowly change from that happy joy to a somber grim frown. Issei felt a bit nervous but happily stood his ground.
"Issei, I know you don't understand how you got here so, I…I…I…I…Oh fuck, this is hard to explain," Que said looking like he was going to hate what he was about to do. Issei concernedly watched as Que gripped his fist in anger. Que stopped when he suddenly realized Issei was watching him. Que took a deep breath and snapped his fingers.
Snap!
A door appeared out of nowhere in a puff of smoke. Issei looked over at the strange door made of bright red wood with a golden yellow frame.
"Que, what's this?" Issei asked. Que then took another deep breath.
"Issei you're not entirely free of your past if you can't remember it, so behind this door, is how you got here and why you're here. It Is also possible to answer some other questions," Que said, trying his best to not break under pressure. Issei was hit with a curveball, and he shook his head in disbelief. This whole time he hid it from him.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Issei asked sounding very hurt that there was some information withheld from him.
"Issei please you have to understand this is some heavy stuff, I had to hide it from you because I knew the curse would've taken advantage of it, but if you wanna get upset with me I understand," Que apologized his voice was shaky and he didn't sound like he wanted to tell him this. Que then pointed at the door. "Issei behind this door is the truth and boy does it hurt,"
Issei knew this was his chance to get answers, but he was glad that Que was protecting him from the very beginning and that proved to Issei he could be trusted. Issei walked over to the distressed Que and hugged him. Que was shocked by the expression and thought Issei was going to go mental on him.
"Thank you, Que, I know you don't owe me anything but thank you you've done so much for me, and I've done so little back I can't express how much I appreciate you, even if I don't know what you are," Issei said glad that he had a buddy with him. Issei let go and slowly reached for the handle only to feel a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, Issei you've been doing stuff alone for a long time, how about I just help you out with this one if you don't mind?" Que asked. Issei smiled.
"Hey, you're the one living in me so come along man," Issei admitted. Que sighed in relief. Issei then twisted the knob of the door and opened it. The two walked in as a bright light blinded them both.
Issei's eyes caught sight of a grand stadium, thousands of people filled it, all of them cheering and screaming. Issei's eyes crossed to the middle of the stadium to see a familiar sight play out in front of him. Instead of a massive screen hanging from the top, amazing holograms dangled in the air showing the scene below. Issei's heart sank deep into depression.
He watched himself in the Red Dragon Emperor's Armour fighting another person with bright golden arms and a helmet in the shape of a lion, its mouth open showing the face of the wearer. He was a foot taller than Issei. This was Sairaorg a high-class devil who rose through the ranks. He was skilled and worked hard to be where he was. His skin was a nice tan and his eyes a light purple. Issei oddly couldn't help but compare his armor to Rogal's, feeling like he was a cheap knockoff. Que could see his eyes were saddened, it pained him what he saw.
Issei shook it off and watched the fight play out. His eyes soon latched onto one person who was bleeding on the ground in the field. Her hair was a stunning crimson, she wore a girl school uniform, and her eyes were bright blue. This was Rias the one Issei loved and failed.
The two of them were lost in the fight, hitting each other with no end. Issei could still remember the fight, it wasn't his best, to be honest, the sad truth of the matter was the curse had hit him pretty hard. Issei remembered when the curse mocked him constantly, Azazel even told him after the game they tried to subdue the curse but said the reason Issei lost was because of his fears. Issei watched the fight play out and how hard the kicks, punches, and grabs were. Que studied his moves with great interest.
"You know you're pretty good with your moves," Que admitted.
"Thanks," Issei sadly said.
Issei kept watching, seeing how he may have been putting up a good fight, but he knew how it was going to end.
The fight started to reach a climax when he noticed how beat-up he was, though Issei had an ace up his sleeve. The crimson dragon emperor dedicated his love to Rias as a way to get free of his damn pain. Not many girls talked to him that much after he tried to confess his love to Rias. Issei cried in spots where they wouldn't find him. He didn't want them to find him.
Issei then watched as he attempted to do it.
Issei prepared himself for his final attack, he was going to win no matter what he was going to win for her.
"Crim-," before Issei could finish a wave of doubt floured his mind while a single voice yelled at him.

He watched himself in the fight, choking on his words. As he fell to his knees, the moment he looked up it was already too late, Sairaorg's fist had come down on his head. Rias' eyes widened in horror as Issei fades into the light. An announcer's voice spoke through the stadium.
[Pawn of Rias retired!]
Rias had tears on her face knowing what this meant. Rias bowed her head in shame. Sairaorg had a sad smile thinking the fight had ended like this. He turned his head toward Rias and gave a commanding gaze.
"Now Rias what will you do next," Sairaorg challenged.
"I surrender," Rias says in a whisper.
[The rating game match is won by Sairaorg Bael.]
The whole crowd cheered, and some stood in defeat watching their hero fall. Some fell quiet as the dream was finally over the underdog had lost, but it didn't matter Rias' team lost and nothing would change that.
Issei watched the memory play and held his head in shame. Que saw Issei's distressed face and immediately held his shoulders.
"It's okay Issei. I know it hurts but you have to hold strong and take some deep breaths, OK?" Que said trying to calm him down as a parent would do to a child. Issei held strong and gave Que a nod.
"I'm fine man, I failed okay, I failed Rias," Issei said. Issei began to grit his teeth in frustration, all of them were counting on him and he failed. "What kind of friend am I if I can't do this? They were counting on me, and I failed them. I just wanted to make her happy and I couldn't even do that,"
"It's just a game Issei!" Que yelled only for Issei to cry.
"It was Rias' game, I can't even make them happy, everyone was counting on me, and I failed,"
Que studied Issei closely, he refused to let him fall again. Unknown to Issei, Que stared daggers at Rias'. Issei slowly pulled himself together and wiped away his tears. Issei then watched the same door before opening up beside them. Que quickly restrained his anger and looked to the door.
"Issei we gotta keep going," Que said. Issei had to know the truth about how he ended up in this strange world.
Issei and Que walked through the door preparing themselves for what would come. Well, Issei did. While Que gripped his hand so tight that if you were to put coal in his hand it would turn into a diamond. While his gaze could melt the coldest of icebergs.
Issei and Que found themselves in a school where many students celebrated and partook in the grand festival before them with many smiles. The two watched as Dream Issei walked around with a gloomy aura. He walked around the festival noticing a lot of heated glares pointed his way by many of the female students.
Dream Issei then saw another student who was a bit smaller than him, wearing the same school uniform Rias wore, with short white hair and golden eyes.
"Hey, Koneko," Dream Issei called out, the girl turned around to give Issei a cold stare, she looked a little uncomfortable being near him right now. Dream Issei could see something was bothering her.
"Koneko what's wrong?" Issei asked. Koneko gave Issei a cold gaze.
"You made President cry, you perverted jerk, she also wants to see you," Koneko then swiftly threw a punch straight into Issei's abdomen and knocked the air right out of him. Dream Issei fell to his knees gasping for air as Koneko ran off. Que gasped at what he saw.
Issei held his head low in shame, though Que had a pissed look on his face witnessing the assault that Issei suffered.
Dream Issei coughed up a storm and slowly got to his feet and held his stomach walking towards the school. Dream Issei walked to see Asia standing in line for the Concessions. Issei happily walked over to her.
"Hey, Asia what up!" Dream Issei said. Asia saw Dream Issei walking toward her. In great haste, she ran from Issei. Dream Issei had a jaw-dropped expression as he watched Asia crying.
"President wants to see you, don't talk to me Issei," Asia cried at Issei, gaining more disappointed glares and harsh glances. Dream Issei saw two girls coming his way both of them wore school uniforms and smiled. One had blue short hair with a dyed green fringe on the right side of her eye. Her name was Xenovia. Her eyes were a bright yellow. The other girl had long chestnut hair that was usually tied into twin tails, each held with a blue scrunchy. Her name was Irina.
Both of them were walking towards the concessions, Dream Issei saw them coming his way. With a happy smile, he waved to them.
"Hey Xenovia, what's up Irina," Issei called out to both of them. They only gave Issei an upset look, turned around, and started to walk away from Dream Issei. Leaving the boy alone to be glared at by other people.
"Nice friends," Que sarcastically said glaring at them as well. Issei remembered this and oh god, was he not looking forward to the ending.
Dream Issei guessed where he would find Rias and headed toward her. Que and Issei followed Dream Issei with great haste.
Dream Issei walked through the halls of Kuoh Academy a once-all-girls school that was now unisex. Dream Issei walked straight to the club room. He was met with two brown elegant wooden doors.
Dream Issei slowly opened the door to see a tall girl with long raven hair tied in a long ponytail reaching down to her legs with two strands sticking out from the top and sweeping backward with an orange ribbon keeping it in place and piercing violet eyes. She was sitting in the lounge room. She wore a white kimono with a red sash and had a sad look on her face, she turned her head towards Issei.
"She's waiting for you in her office, also try to be on your best behavior, don't hurt Rias-sama anymore, okay," Akeno said in a cold tone of voice. Dream Issei's feelings were hurt. He didn't like the tone of her voice and she sounded very distant and cold. He was slowly cursing himself wondering how and why this was happening.
Que blew a raspberry only to be elbowed by Issei to stop.
"What are you doing?" Issei asked.
"Hey, you pretty much helped this chick with her daddy problems and now she's being so cold and distant because of a fucking game," Que said back.
Dream Issei walked into the office room where Rias would do most of her club work and devil management. Issei walked in to see Rias herself sadly looking at Dream Issei.
"What's wrong is it the festival? I think you're doing a great job; I think everyone is doing a great job, Kiba and Gasper think so, but they have not been talking to me as well. Um, so what did you want to see me for, President?"
Rias clenched her fists tightly gripping a pencil when she heard Issei address her like that.
"Issei what am I to you?" Rias asked, she sounded very desperate to hear the right answer. Dream Issei was confused by the question because Issei loved Rias and she was his President, the person who saved him.
"Buchou is my king and my president," Dream Issei said. Rias' emotions turned into a deep sadness. Dream Issei could see her downward expression as she oddly went quiet. the room's attention could be sliced with a knife. Dream Issei felt the air around them go cold.
"Buchou-sama?" Issei called out to her, only for her to remain silent, Rias stood from her desk and walked to gaze out the window. Her eyes were null and showed no emotion.
"Rias-sama," Issei called out again.
"Issei after seeing you in the rating game, the group and I have made a decision this next week we will be sending you to a training facility in the underworld, to help you get stronger and better yourself next time, I've been lacking in your training so we've come to this," Rias said with a deadly serious voice. Issei's eyes went wide with surprise. What training camp? He had to stay here to help them out not to mention school and parents. Though there was a true fear nagging at Issei he would be alone, something he didn't want.
"But what about school and my parents and how long will I be there?" Dream Issei asked. Rias only sighed.
"You'll be staying at the camp for the rest of the school year," Rias says coldly like a machine.
"What!" Dream Issei asked in shock, how could she do this just send him away like this? He felt a bit hurt.
"You'll be doing most of your homework there at the camp, expect to train like nothing else Issei," Rias said. Dream Issei for the life of him wondered why she was doing this? She was sending him off on his own. Was this all because I didn't win the match?
"Wait, Rias-sama please I don't think I want to be gone that long," Dream Issei spoke out only for Rias to flinch at her name again.
"Don't call me that," Rias whispered in a harsh whisper. Dream Issei felt his heart slowing down.
"Presid-," Issei could not finish his sentence as Rias slapped him across the face so hard he fell to the floor, his cheek looked like it was going to bruce. Issei got up from the ground and sadly looked at Rias. Issei's heart sank, did he do something to offend Rias?
"Rias-sama I'm sorry," Issei said.
"Go stare at another pair of tits I'm not your President," Rias said again in her harsh whisper. The room started to become quiet and Issei felt a bit scared.
"President-!"
STOP CALLING ME THAT, I'M NOT YOUR PRESIDENT, ISSEI WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!" Rias cried out hysterically as her voice was in such pain. The door slammed open for Akeno to walk into the room and see the sight in front of her. Rias' eyes then showed a surge of regret. Everything she said and did hit her like a brick wall. She covered her mouth in horror and looked at Dream Issei's terrified eyes, even Ddraig watched in silence at what had just happened. Que was holding back a storm of anger, if he didn't know this was a memory, he would have caused a storm of anger like no other.
Dream Issei felt panic take over his mind as the curse whispered in the back of his mind.
"Won't die for her as you did for me, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!" the curse said. Issei's eyes were filled with visions of pain.
[Partner!] Issei's sacred gear called out, only for Issei to sprint out of the room, his face showing nothing but terror. Dream Issei didn't hear his words as he ran out of the room forcing himself past Akeno who was shocked to see tears leaking out of his eyes.
"Issei I'm so sorry," Rias cried out. Only for Issei to run out of the room in a hurry to get out of the school, while Dream Issei ran hysterically, Ddraig was constantly yelling at Issei to stop and calm down, but it was only a voice. Que and Issei watched their surroundings slowly turn into a void of white. Issei had a downward heartbroken stare. He held his gaze on the floor in guilt.
"It's all my fault!" Issei said. Que wrapped Issei in a deep hug. Issei was stunned by the action.
"Let it out buddy, just let it out," Que said as he hugged Issei tighter. Issei hated this memory; he failed her in the greatest way possible and he doesn't even know what he did. He let his tears flow free, his tears soaking into Que's clothes. Issei then pushed away out of the hug, Que reluctantly agreed and let him go. Issei took a couple of deep breaths. Taking some cool air in his lungs was great. Issei finally looked around the room to see where they were.
"What is happening?" Issei asked, bewildered by his surroundings. Que then simply shrugged his shoulders.
"The memory is playing out and you weren't here for the entire time in this room, so you wouldn't remember it," Que explained as he snapped his fingers to reveal another door. This time it was made out of a much blacker wood and the handle was silver instead of gold. The frame of the door had many wings carved into the frame.
"So ready for the final act?" Que asked.
Issei walked to the door and carefully gripped the door handle slowly twisting it open, and then both of them were blinded by another light, forcing both of them to close their eyes.
Issei and Que both watched the world change into a simple park that looked to be abandoned and rundown, with lush trees and uncapped sidewalks, overgrown flora covering almost everything. While in front of them, Que and Issei stared in horror at an abandoned fountain. Both of them had different feelings about the long-neglected decoration of the park.
Issei felt miserable, this was the place where he was betrayed by the one, he truly thought he loved. He'd made so many mistakes here, but it was here he met Rias. A memory he'd remember for a long time.
Que looked at the fountain with utter disgust and scorn; this was a prison. This was where his brother imprisoned him, while he watched so many others enjoy their unburdened freedom. However, he did meet Issei and that freed him. That would be a moment he would never regret.
Both heard the sound of steps running toward them, they looked around the giant fountain to see Dream Issei running towards them with pain-filled eyes, covering his ears trying to silence the voices that haunted him.
"I don't remember this," Issei grumbled.
Both of them watched as Dream Issei fell onto the concrete due to his poor footing. He fell to the ground hard.
["Partner please calm down you mustn't fall into this curse, you're just hurting yourself, PARTNER!"] Ddraig yelled trying to bring his friend out of his panic attack.
"I failed her Ddraig, the voices won't stop, I can't make them stop," Dream Issei cries out.
["Issei stay with me, you have to get yourself together, she is not real and the only reason you failed was that you weren't strong enough to take on Sairaorg because you let this curse take over your mind.] Ddraig yelled. He wasn't trying to be mean but just tell the truth. only for Issei to suddenly stop as a realization hit him.
"You're right Ddraig, I was too weak but if I boosted myself enough Rias wouldn't have to send me away, they'll all love me again and I'll be happy," Dream Issei said as his eyes became lifeless. Dream Issei lifted his left arm and summoned his sacred gear the red gauntlet appearing on it.
["Issei that won't help you, you're going to kill yourself,"]
Ddraig's warning fell on deaf ears. Dream Issei then brought the gauntlet over his chest. The curse whispered more horrible things in his mind. He then gave a lifeless smile and looked madly into the sky.
["Issei please snap out of it,"]
"I'll make you proud Rias, I'll win for you, and then you'll love me," Issei yelled madly into the air.
Shinnnn!
A Sharp piercing noise begins to light up the Gauntlet. Dream Issei softly looks up and smiles one more time.
[ISSEI STOP!]
"I'll give you everything Rias so please don't hate me!" Dream Issei said in a sad voice. Then he finally let go.

Issei watched in horror as a crimson beam of light shot up into the air splitting the clouds apart and lighting the area in bright red light. Dream Issei felt something shoot out of his body only to see several little pawn chess pieces fall out of his chest, these were the evil pieces that were used to reincarnate him as a devil. Dream Issei continued to madly smile as he thought this was progress and kept boosting himself to no end.
Both Que and Issei watched as Dream Issei's skin began to crack, and his chest wounds started to bleed more, ruining his red shirt. Dream Issei laughed madly into the sky. Ddraig tried to plead again, but Issei's ears were filled with the mad whisper of the curse.
Issei wondered what happened next and how he survived but hated watching what he had become. Issei hated himself more seeing what happened to him. Dream Issei stopped laughing when he felt himself dying as he fell to the ground, blood had started to leak out of his eyes, mouth, ears, and nose. He was a complete mess and slumped to the ground with a sad smile.
Issei never thought he would see himself die but here he was, watching it like the universe was playing some sick joke on him. Dream Issei's breaths were ragged and congested, he felt tears pour from his face as he looked up into the sky.
[What have you done, Issei?] Ddraig asked in horror.
The area slowly went quietly as Dream Issei continued to stare upwards. Issei fell to his knees as he witnessed himself do something so stupid. Issei quietly thought to himself maybe this whole deal was the afterlife, maybe it was hell for him.
"It's not over yet," Que says, snapping Issei out of his sad daze. Issei looked up to see Dream Issei's body stir, as all the shadows in the area formed a giant ball of darkness, and one from Issei's chest entered into the ball. Issei watched as the moon started to eclipse the sun. The winds became harsh and bitter. All the light in the area seemed to diminish.
The shadows then started to move in mesh together like clay in a sculptor's hand. Issei looked at the ball to see a being made of darkness walk out of the orb, he wore a cloak so dark light would not escape from it. He carried a hammer made of shadow and had a featureless face, smooth like a mannequin, but still had a thousand expressions.
The being looked down at Dream Issei and covered its mouth in horror. Seeing how injured he was, the Shadow being, knelt by Issei's side and hovered his hand over his chest. Issei watched this otherworldly entity scream and shake in agony.
Issei felt the same aura when he first met Que. Issei turns his head towards Que seeing a sad smile on his face. Issei then remembered one little important detail about Que.
"You know I made Darkness,"
"Is that you?" Issei inquired about Que. The man grinned and Issei saw his eyes change to pitch black.
"Yeah, that's me. I kind of took your suicide attempt a little bit to heart," Que said both of them watched as the Shadow being, grabbed the Red Emperor Dragon gauntlet and ripped it off Dream Issei.
"Noooooooo!" The Shadow Screamed.
The Shadow being then hovered his hand over Issei. A strand of red light began to seep into the Red Dragon Gauntlet. The process lasted only a few seconds and transformed Dream Issei's severed arm into a red ball of energy. The ball within holding the sacred gear.
"What are you doing you fiend, let me go back to the reincarnation cycle so I may find another host," Ddraig said in a commanding voice.
"I think not, especially since your unreasonable attitude toward me will serve as a good reminder to never get in my way again," The shadow said. The Dragon scoffed at him.
"You're nothing but misfortune and I protected and helped him, you were going to destroy everything the moment you got out," Ddraig said. The shadow loathed every word he just said.
"You judge me based on my history, and you hurt the boy by remaining silent while his peers and companions tore him to pieces. Though this curse did not help as well, you were supposed to protect him, instead, you trapped him in a rivalry between two dragons who don't even know what they're fighting about anymore, and let's not even start on your ridiculous powering. By creation's beard! You were killing him, he gave you his left arm, and he would've given you more if he had the chance, all for your so-called infinite power, which is a lie. You are no dragon you're a damn parasite!"
"What did you call me? You wannabe god! What are you doing to Issei? He's dying, leave the boy alone let him be at peace," Ddraig said only to be tossed aside like nothing as the ball he was trapped in bounced away.
"I'm not done talking to you!" Ddraig yelled as the orb holding the great red dragon rolled down a storm drain.
"Good riddance," He who made Dark said. The great being looked down at Issei with saddened ebony eyes. "No more, no one will ever hurt you again,"
Issei and Que watch as the God of shadow heals Issei's wounds and gently sews all his wounds. Dream Issei started to breathe normally while the being began to wipe away his bloody tears. Though Issei knew the truth he didn't push out Ddraig, although this Que did remove his Sacred gear like it was nothing. But Issei could tell by the tone of his voice that he meant no harm and was deeply troubled when he saw him in his bloody state.
"Who are you?" Issei finally asked. Que then gently smiled at Issei.
"Issei, I have gone by hundreds of names, destroyer of worlds, bringer of the end and so destructive that I warped time. Though my very first name was He Who Made Dark," Que calmly said, both of them watched as the shadow finally healed Dream Issei. A hand gently laid on his chest and in the blink of an eye, He who made dark vanished into Issei.
Then Dream Issei vanished as a shadow pulled him into the darkness. As Dream Issei vanished from his old world.
Things went completely white, leaving a dumbstruck Issei and the creator of the universe alone in a white room. Issei was pleased knowing Ddraig was still out there.
"So, you brought me here Que or do you want me to call you by your other name?" Issei asked.
"I prefer Que, the other one seems too long, more of an opener like a conversational piece," Que admitted. "Now I'm sure you have a million questions,"
"Yeah, my first one is why did your brother trap you in a fountain?" Issei asked.
"We both kinda have our sense of humor, he was always a bit weird," Que said. "However, I have a question for you, are you gonna try and get back to your jerk pals?"
"First off they're not jerks and yes I'm going to see them again, but I'm gonna help Angron, Konrad, and their sisters get off this planet first,"
"OK that sounds respectful but you're gonna need more power to do so," Que said.
Issei gave Que a serious glare, his fist clenched and his expression stern.
"I have one more thing to ask, why do you care about me?" Issei asked.
"Okay, you've seen it all so I guess I should answer, I see you like a son I see you as my responsibility because in a way I did give you life, I was a destroyer of worlds but when I escaped, I had made something. I helped make you and when I wasn't able to talk to you, I failed you because I wasn't there. I wanted to protect you because I don't want to be a destroyer of worlds anymore, I want to help build them,"
Issei didn't know what to say, Que kept saying bombshell after bombshell. Was he evil? Is this all a part of some grand master plan to rule the world? Issei did know one thing. In some way, Que cared for him, and he was hurt deeply. Issei awkwardly rubs the back of his head.
"Fine!" Issei let out a defeated voice.
"What?" Que asked not truly understanding why Issei said fine. Issei turns around and faces him.
"I'll let you help but don't expect me to call you dad or anything. I don't know you enough, also you better not backstab me because I swear to God, I'll let Angron beat the shit out of you," Issei declared as he awkwardly looked away from him. Que could only smile and nod at Issei.
"I wouldn't have it another way," Que said with an optimistic voice.
There was an awkward silence between them, one of them waiting to break it.
"So, any other bombshell?" Issei asked.
"Yeah, one more thing you're in a different dimension," Que said. Issei was more confused was he in the underworld heaven or was he in another realm belonging to another God? Que could see the confusion in his eyes.
"Issei you're in an entirely new universe with new gods and a whole slew of horrors in the universe, that would make even the most twisted minds in your world shit their pants," Que told in a stern tone of voice.
Issei pinched the bridge of his nose in stress.
"Can you take me back?" Issei said. Que only disappointingly shook his head.
"Why not?" Issei asked.
"Because I didn't bring you here, something else did and I don't know why?" Que said.
"Are you saying that or are you just lying again?" Issei doubted.
"Both," Que answered.
Issei finally had enough and frustratingly grumbled.
"Look, can you just wake me up!" Issei said, Finally having enough of this dream. Que raised his hand and a black vortex opened up.
Issei began walking toward it but before Issei could walk out. He stopped and turned around to face Que.
"Thanks…. for everything," Issei let out.
"Hey, it's nothing you're worth it," Que said from deep within himself. Issei could hear the compassion and care in his voice, maybe he was not such a bad guy.
Issei then gracefully falls back into the vortex. Allowing the shadows to sweep over him and carry him on the way to the waking world. As Issei vanished from the dream world. Que then felt a soft gentle whisper that was so pleasant it sounded like a million birds singing.
"You didn't tell him everything…,"
Que smiled and looked into the white void.
"He's not ready to fight that thing, he needs to heal. Hopefully, the emperor's brats can take care of him and maybe help him achieve that dream he wants," Que couldn't help but smirk at the ambitious dream.
"Harem king and a Champion of he who made dark, Yeah I like the sound of that,"
Issei felt himself waking up and found he was lying on something very soft. Issei opened his eyes fully and brought his hands to his head, only to feel cold metal shocking him out of his morning daze.
Issei noticed he was in a very large and well-lit room. he sat on a very large bed. Issei noticed how the room was mostly built with stone and lumber. He then noticed that the bed frame was made out of timber. The blankets he laid on were made out of big animal pelts and Issei could see a window that looked out into the world, but it was wet rather high up the wall like it wasn't meant for his size. Issei got off the bed and let out a big morning yawn.
Issei felt his armor was a bit too constrictive, so he gripped his left gauntlet and pulled the armor away like it was paper. The armor crumbled away and melted into shadow.
"Hah, it gets easier every time I do it," Issei said enjoying taking off the armor, it was super satisfying. Issei was about to strip off when he heard footsteps outside the room and a fiery hot aura blazed inside, leaving Issei with a nervous sensation.
Issei stopped when he heard the steps. In his mind last time this scenario happened he was nearly beaten half to death. he heard the footsteps stop. Issei was gonna quietly walk back to the bed. Issei took the first step on the wooden panel floor. Only for the floor to betray him and creak as loud as it could.
Creak!
Issei turned to face the door as the knob turned. The door was slowly opening so he prepared himself for a fight. Then before he could charge the intruder, he stopped when the person who opened the door made his jaw drop. Her skin was a beautiful charcoal black, her eyes flaming red, her pupils a very bright orange, and that fluffy white hair flowed like steam.
She had a gentle smile and a plate of what looked like breakfast for Issei. Vulkan wanted to be the first to introduce herself to the boy lost from a different time. She was known to be the kindest, most compassionate, and very well-mannered among her siblings. Issei had felt his heartbeat increase, his cheeks flushed red as this woman had an otherworldly beauty to her. She gave off the same aura that dragons have, but her stunning appearance was so exotic and so new. Issei felt himself loving every moment of her appearance.
"I need someone like her in my harem, if there are more hotties in this universe then sign me up for vacation days," Issei thought.
Vulkan could see the blush on his face while his star-dazed eyes left her feeling flattered. Most people found the Salamander's appearance to be very scary and somewhat disturbing, but Issei's reaction was the opposite, he was intrigued, stunned, and joyful. Vulkan smiled at Issei, glad to see him awake.
"Salutations, my name is Vulkan, and I have brought you breakfast," Vulcan said gently. Issei found himself lost in her words.
"Even her voice sounds amazing, what an amazing tall woman," Issei thought but quickly snapped out of his daze and politely bowed to Vulkan.
"T-t-thank you Vulkan, it's an honor to make your acquaintance, n-n-name I-I-Issei H-H-houydou," Issei said nervously only to look up to see Vulkan smiled but could see worry in her eyes. So, this was the boy who had suffered so much misfortune. Vulkan in a swift action set the tray to the floor. Vulkan then sat cross-legged on the floor.
"Issei, we have much to discuss but right now on behalf of all of us we apologize for some of the unruly sisters you had to deal with," Vulkan said in a sad apologetic voice.
Issei could only look at the giant humbly asking for forgiveness. When the truth is, they should ask him for forgiveness for withholding information from them. Issei bows to Vulkan.
"No please I don't hold any of you responsible and I know Angron was sick so please don't punish her in any way for what happened to me," Issei said hoping his friend was okay. Vulkan was surprised by Issei's humbleness, and he had already forgiven Angron. Vulkan had never seen such compassion. Though still held one burning question in her mind. Leman had told her about what happened in private, something so groundbreaking.
"Issei did you remove the butcher's nails from my sister," Vulkan asked her voice steady and her eyes stern, but Issei sat on his knees and looked up at the giant, with strong eyes.
"Yes, I did help Angron, and is she alright?" Issei said with a strong voice that held such caring and compassion that it matched Vulkan's humble nature as well.
"Angron right now is being held in a cell and is being watched by Horus and Sanguinius," Vulkan said her voice starting to crack, she was holding back the ocean of joy and happiness, rushing in her hearts.
Issei could see tears forming in the corner of Vulkan's eyes. In a rush, Issei knelt towards her side and gave Vulkan a worried gaze.
"I'm- look please don't cry, all I just know is I did the right thing-," Issei couldn't finish his sentence as Vulkan pulled him into a deep hug. She cried tears of joy on his shoulder while burying her head into Issei's neck. Issei stood completely still, but his sense to help immediately kicked in as he gladly returned the affection in full.
"Thank you, Issei, thank you so much, you're a little blessing in disguise, the amount of kindness you showed us is so beautiful and you're such a wonderful person to forgive us," Vulcan said in a merry cry. Issei could only hug back and try to pat her back. Issei could only describe this hug as having so much compassion it was probably the best hug he had ever received in his life. Issei felt like crying back. This whole situation of being lost in this new world away from his family and friends. Any other being would normally break, but in this exact moment of grim darkness, he was held in comforting arms.
"Hey, it's nothing I help people, it's what I do," Issei said happily.
The two hugged each other for a while but reluctantly Vulkan had to let go. Issei could see the happy smile on Vulkan's face while feeling some parts of his clothing were damp from her tears.
"Thank you, Issei, we owe you a tremendous debt," Vulkan said while she still had some teardrops on her face. Issei hated seeing tears on such a beautiful woman.
"Do you mind if I get that?" Issei asked, gesturing to his own eyes to tell Vulkan of the tears running down her face.
Vulkan leaned down and was about to wipe them when Issei's hand wiped away the tear first with his ungloved hand. Vulkan had eyes widened at how soft Issei's hands were. It was like an angel was caressing her face, Issei wiped all of it away and smiled at Vulkan.
"Sorry, I just hate seeing people being sad," Issei said. Vulkan nodded her head in agreement. Vulkan was happy to know Issei was truly full of humanity and kind a person.
"Thank you, Issei," Vulkan said. The two gladly enjoyed each other's company. Only the sound of a knock at the door gained both of their attention.
Rogal Dorn stood in the doorway like a statue, Issei felt his breath hitch. As that familiar pressure surrounded him. Issei had a calm look as Rogal gazed at him with a cold gaze.
"Issei when you finish your breakfast the rest of us would like to meet you and question you," Rogal said sternly and walked away into the hall. Issei had only one thing to say because he believed he started to fear Rogal now, her cold attitude and hardened eyes were like a punch to your face.
"Oh, Shit!" Issei said.
IMPORTANT NEWS THE EMPEROR IS MALE JUST WANT TO LET YOU GUYS KNOW. So back from my break and I have to say I'm really happy with how this chapter turned out. Also, we get to spend some time with Vulkan herself the drake, I will be showing more of other gods' reactions to this new being. So yes the being that's in Issei is He Who Made Dark, being from scp legends but I choose him because he's dark. You see we all relate dark and shadow with edginess and tragedy, and we forget what Shadows do. When the darkness is faced with the light it is shaped around the light, learning how to take a shape to make it better. Originally he was supposed to be the bad guy but after so many ideas about what plan to take, I thought hey this being of great power has destroyed and freed himself by saving another. Que is kind of like a dad of just got out of jail and wants to make his son proud and happy. So I hope you enjoyed this chapter please follow, review, and tell me your thoughts.
