As the week progressed Friday came which meat there was a school dance the first of the new school year as Alli thought it would be a great idea to throw a dance to welcome new students and start a fresh new year at Degrassi and hopefully this time they won't be a disaster at a school dance but considering it was Degrassi the chances that something will happen are high.Clare and Alli were in the gym, they were setting up for the dance when KC and Dave walked in with boxes of decorations and lights, "We got these from the prop room" Dave says as he and KC walk closer to the girls."That's really good now we got to transform the gym to look like a beach resort" Alli cheerfully grins clasping her hands together.The others laughed, "Which is why KC and I are happy to help plus I made sure the reps who are free can help pitch in" Dave walks next to Alli as he looks at her forgetting Clare and KC are there."That's a good idea the more the merrier" Alli exclaims, the four started to take the decorations out and hung the lights, banners, paper of beach background all over the gym.The gym slowly turned into a mini beach resort ready for a school dance, Clare, Alli and Jenna were all getting ready at Clare's which seems to be a tradition of theirs since they got ready together for Vegas night in grade 10 when Jenna was pregnant with Tyson."So Clare how are you and Eli?" Jennas asks while she finishes up her curls and Alli was applying lip gloss while Clare putting on her heels.Clare who stood up, she fixes her dress which was really pretty it was deep green with a v-neck which embraces her body beautifully, "We're going Well I mean we're trying our best he's busy with classes and projects he has to do and I have school, student council and the school newspaper.""Sounds like a lot I hope you aren't overwhelming yourself it's okay to relax trust me" Alli softly smiles she's right after fast tracking she was going to balance school and social aspects in a more healthier way.Clare knew Alli has a point, "You're right I need to take care of myself but I just miss Eli and trying to keep myself distracted" she admitted, after winning the court case against Asher she been focusing on getting back her love for writing and journalism while her and Eli spent the summer tangled up in each other's bedrooms, going on dates like, watching movies at home but he had to head to New York when August rolled around which meant emotional goodbyes but they agreed to have the long distance relationship but that didn't make it any easier especially how busy both Eli and Clare had became."How about after the dance you talk to Eli it is a Friday night after all" Jenna suggested, "You both deserve to have some fun too" she adds happily.Clare chuckles, "My mum is out with Glen until late so Eli and I could catch up." The girls nodded and cheered Clare on."That's the spirit Clare '' Alli exclaims she grins as the three girls were all ready and started to head out the room and downstairs where they All decided to take Alli's car.At the dance KC was standing with Connor they were chatting away, "I'm glad you making Jenna happy Connor" he exclaims at his best friend, he supported his best friend and his ex wholeheartedly especially since he doesn't have feelings for Jenna anymore however On Clare on the other hand…Connor grins, "Thank you KC, that means a lot" Connor answers.Soon Clare, Alli and Jenna entered the gym when KC caught a glimpse of Clare, he noticed the way her hair flowed down and her signature curls framed her face, walking towards the taller boys with a huge grin on the girls faces."Looking beautiful ladies" KC comments his hazel eyes on Clare, admiring her beauty he knows he shouldn't have a boyfriend and he knows Clare would never love Eli and pretty sure Eli wouldn't even know who he was anyways."Thank you KC" Clare exclaims, "This dance looks great!" She gestures around as the music is playing.Alli then pipes in, "Where's Dave?" She was looking for Dave, KC gestures towards the DJ booth which Alli mouths thanks before heading where Dave was.Jenna kisses Connor "Do you want to dance?" She softy smiles, the taller boy nodded taking her hands as they went towards a quiet section so Connor wouldn't be so overstimulated.KC gestures Clare towards the punch bowl, he pours them a cup of punch "A toast to you for being president for a week now you deserve this' ' he hands Clare a cup before taking a sip Of his own as he smiles."I could never take full credit without rest of student council especially the reps: Clare sipped on her drink, "But thank youKC grins, "No problem Clare and I have a feeling senior year going to be great maybe us Gifted program kids can bse a little family again" It was true the Gifted Program kids were closer in grade 9 but as the years went on and situations happen it was hard to keep close however Clare and Alli always been close best friends and KC and Connor so it would be a treat."We were all close at one point weren't we? do you think we can? We are all busy but we see how it goes. Maybe try hanging out as a group?" She suggested but they weren't minor niners as 4 anymore there was Dave, Jenna, Adam to add on too and Wesley but who knows where he has been in the last two years."Then let's make sure to plan" KC grins, clicking His cup with hers.When Clare got home she was alone in the house removing her shoes as soon she entered her bedroom, she goes online on her phone looks like Eli is active so she goes over to her pink laptop bringing it over to her bed she opens it up loading ut up fixing her hair and her dress showing a little more before she went on Skype.Clare clicked on Eli's picture immediately, a huge grin spread on his face he looked so excited to see her "Hey beautiful" He had on a vintage MCR tee-shirt, his hair seemed to be more natural curly and lighter by day after stopping dying his hair he realised he wanted to be seen more mature as a new university man now in a different country. "How was your dance?"Clare had told Eli about the dance in one of their texts while they were doing homework it was getting late Eli was trying to get a project done which he had completed. "It went really well for a Degrassi dance, no disaster" she chuckles.Eli shook his head laughing, "Oh there's still time" he smirks as Clare blushes, "But seriously I missed you so much you know.""I missed you too I just want to kiss you right now" she bit her lips she been noticing how his curls seem to make his jaw more defined."You have no idea how much I've missed you especially in my dreams" his gaze went from her lips travelling downwards then up into her eyes.Clare blushes the effects he has on her she'll never get over, "Well just let you know my mother and Glen are out so we can talk longer" she suggested innocently but Eli mind was less pure."A-All night?" Eli was speechless how does his girlfriend, as sweet and innocent can sound a lot more flirty.Clare giggles, she nodded yes, "Yes all night and you know we can have some fun and continue that thing we were going to do before my mother interpreted back in the summer?"Eli knew what Clare was talking about and he licks his lips in amusement, "Hmm we can indeed I'm all caught up and if you sure?" His smirk appeared on his face.

Clare bit her lips, "I'm positive" she and Eli ended up having their session and are both very happy.
