It is the 26th Century.
Humanity, under the leadership of the UNSC, is at war with an Alien Hegemony called for the Covenant.
/\
We are losing. Billions are dead and dying after nearly 20 years of war.
/\
The Outer Colonies have largely been destroyed, and the Inner Colonies are being swarmed by fleets of genocidal monsters warring for their alien gods.
In desperation, some have fled UNSC space entirely, hoping to escape both the Covenant and UNSC to forge a new home.
Some have gone willingly, others by forces outside of their control. Regardless of their origin, many have found themselves in a new region of the Orion Arm, untouched by war.
/\
The Aquarii Star Cluster.
Home to hundreds of habitable worlds perfect for human settlement. With the survivors and refugees fleeing out here since the 2530s, hundreds of colonies, from small outposts of a few thousand to worlds of tens of millions, have been established as these unexpected pioneers look to establish a new home and future for themselves. But as it is with human nature...
There are those with their own designs on this new frontier. Several nations have sprung up across the Aquarii Cluster, with the ambitious and the greedy looking to exert their own influence and designs up the whole of the Cluster. This is a collection of stories from one such nation.
/\
These are stories from the nation of Helstadt.
*AUTHOR'S NOTE* This fanfic and others like it are companion/side stories for a crossover fanfic of mine called 'Halo-Naruto: Prologue.' While these side stories are purely Halo-centric reads, it is recommended you read the main story to get a better understanding of the universe as a whole. But that's entirely optional, too, as these stories are more or less separate from the main story and loosely connected to the main plot. These are more of a series of stories to help flesh out the universe as a whole.
