A/N: So, with Madou Monogatari 4 coming out, I realized that Compile Puyo has a good mix of low stakes and high stakes games, but the Primp games have only low stakes games. My friend, kid-az on Tumblr, also suggested a cool idea, a turn-based RPG with the Primp characters. I mean, the Compile characters have one with Madou Saturn. So this fic is the culmination of these ideas.

It was a regular day in Primp. Amitie was walking home. She had just gotten done with school. Raffina was practicing martial arts. Sig went to the woods for bugs. Klug went home to study. And Lidelle wandered off. A peaceful day. Amitie thought back to her friend Arle. Arle, Carbuncle, and a bunch of others went back to their homeworld, the World Of Sorcery. Amitie remembered the tales Arle told, slaying a beast when she was 4, decapitating a villain who still survived, defeating the interdimensional threat of the Yoggs, and even beating her own evil Doppelganger. Amitie thought to herself. Arle's adventures were amazing. Sure, Amitie helped out on interdimensional quests with Arle and Ringo, but Primp was normally so peaceful. She wouldn't have world threatening adventures. She wondered if Arle was on a huge adventure right now…

"Um…Ami?" A small voice said. It was Lidelle.

"Hm? What's up?" Amitie said.

"Um…er…well…" Lidelle trailed off. Amitie was patient.

"I may have…left my project in the classroom…" Lidelle said.

"Oh no!" Amitie said. "Hey, maybe I can go get it!"

"Really? Um…I uh…I'll go with you!" Lidelle said.

"Alright! Let's do this!" Amitie said.

The duo went to the window of the room. Lidelle stood on Amitie's shoulders.

"Do you see it?" Amitie asked.

"Y-yes. I do!" Lidelle said, but then the girls lost their balance and fell.

"Well, we probably weren't getting in through the window anyway." Amitie said.

"Now what do we do?" Lidelle asked.

"Hm…" Amitie thought to herself. Then she saw Ms. Accord leaving through the back door. And she didn't lock it.

"Lidelle. I think I found our way in!" Amitie said.

The duo opened the door. Shockingly, there were many more security measures then they thought. Like a laser grid.

"Oh…maybe we shouldn't do this…" Lidelle said.

"Don't worry! We'll get your project!" Amitie said.

"B-But-" Lidelle stuttered.

"Aw come on! Follow my lead!" Amitie said. She started to sneak through the lasers. It took awhile as she felt like she was playing twister. Eventually she made it to the end of the hall.

"Ok. Your turn!" She said. Lidelle backed away.

"Ah…er…" Lidelle said.

"Don't worry! You'll be fine." Amitie said. Lidelle whimpered.

"Ok. I'll go disable these things!" Amitie said. Lidelle nodded.

And so Amitie continued through the halls. Luckily for her, Arle had taught her lock picking. Why Arle knew how to do that was because she needed to open chests. But the trick worked on doors. She opened the door to the office and disabled the lasers. And the cameras while she was at it. Lidelle ran inside.

"Ami! You…you did it!" Lidelle said.

"Yeah! Now come on!" Amitie said. The duo ran to the classroom and Lidelle grabbed her project. And then, they hears footsteps.

"Oh no!" Lidelle said, starting to panic. Amitie noticed a side room, and picked the lock.

"In here!" She said and the girls went inside. It was a room they were never allowed in. To their surprise, it led to a staircase.

"W-we shouldn't be here…" Lidelle said.

"Don't be so worried." Amitie said as she went down the stairs. Lidelle followed. Downstairs were many magical items.

"Wow! Look at all this stuff!" She said. Then she spotted three items. A lantern, a stone, and-

"Hey Lidelle! Look! I recognize this!" Amitie said, going to the items and picking up a bookmark.

"R-really?" Lidelle asked.

"Yeah. It's called the Sun Bookmark. I got it after fighting Klug in a puyo battle. He was acting really weird, but he went back to normal after I took it so, no harm done I guess." Amitie said.

"I-I wonder w-w-why it's with those two things?" Lidelle asked.

"I dunno. Maybe I can get information on them." She said, grabbing the items.

"Ami! I don't think that's a good idea!" Lidelle said. But Amitie was already leaving, and the room was clear. Amitie was about to retort, but she saw how nervous Lidelle was. So she put the items on the desk. It probably wasn't a good idea to steal from Ms. Accord.

"You're right. Come on, lets go!' Amitie said. Lidelle nodded and the two girls left school.

That night, Amitie went to sleep. And heard a voice in her dream. A familiar voice she could never place.

"Amitie…Amitie…" The voice said.

"Huh? It's that voice again!" Amitie said.

"Amitie…you are the only one who can prevent the return… of the Crimson Demon…" The voice said.

"The WHAT!?" Amitie asked.

"It's sealed away…but it seems the seal will break soon…" the voice said.

"Wait! What is the Crimson Demon? How do I stop it?" Amitie said, but then she woke up.

"Huh? What was that about? The Crimson Demon…?" Amitie thought…

The next day, everyone went to school. Amitie went inside. Raffina was messing with her nails, Sig was spacing out, Klug was…well he actually looked scared, looking at the desk. The items Amitie almost stole were still there. Raffina looked over, but before she could tease him, Ms. Accord came inside. She took the items and went back through that mysterious door. Then she returned. And class began like nothing happened.

When class ended, Amitie started to leave, but then…

"Amitie! I need to speak with you." Ms. Accord said. Amitie froze. Lidelle looked at her, deciding to stay outside the door.

"Y-yes…?" Amitie asked.

"Did you come in here after class yesterday?" Ms. Accord asked.

"Whaaaaaaaaat? No way!" Amitie said.

"She's pawsitivley guilty!" Popoi said.

"Am I in trouble?" Amitie asked.

"Hm…" Ms. Accord said, thinking.

"Oh man, I'm in big trouble…" Amitie thought.

"Um…" Lidelle said.

"Yes, Lidelle?" Accord said.

"Well…er…you see…um…" Lidelle stammered.

"Come on neow! Spit it out!" Popoi said.

"Eek!" Lidelle said, hiding behind Amitie.

"Lidelle you don't need to do this." Amitie said.

"N-no. I do. Ms. Accord, we snuck in here to get my project that I left behind. It's my fault. Please don't punish Amitie!" Lidelle said.

"Hm…well, I suppose I can't fault her for trying to help a classmate. However, you should know, these items are very dangerous." Accord said.

"Really?" Amitie asked.

"Yes. That's why I keep them locked away." Accord said.

"I didn't know! I'm really sorry!" Amitie said.

"Its alright, however, you two will have extra homework." Ms. Accord said, handing over the work to the girls. Amitie groaned. "Now run along you two. Everyone else is already long gone" Accord said.

"Oh! Right! Bye Ms. Accord!" Amitie said.

"Goodbye!" Lidelle said, running after Amitie.

"Well, at least we aren't in trouble…" Lidelle said, standing outside the school with Amitie.

"Yeah…but still…we have extra work, I almost took three dangerous things, and then that weird dream…" Amitie said.

"Dream?" Lidelle asked.

"Huh? Oh yeah! I had this dream last night. A voice that I know but I can't quite place spoke to me." Amitie explained.

"What did it say?" Lidelle asked.

"It said I was the only one who could stop the return of something called The Crimson Demon." Amitie said.

"Eek! That sounds scary!" Lidelle said.

"Yeah, and I don't even know what it is! I should have asked Ms. Accord, but it's a bit late for that." Amitie said.

"M-maybe you can ask Klug? He knows a lot of things." Lidelle suggested.

"Great idea! Do you know where he is?" Amitie said.

"I heard him saying something about going to the library…" Lidelle said.

"Alright! Let's go!" Amitie said. The duo went outside and ran into the direction of the library, soon running into Klug, who was on his way there, just as Lidelle said.

"Hey Klug!" Amitie called. The boy sighed.

"Ah, Amitie, Lidelle. What do you two want? Can't you see I'm busy?" He said.

"Yeah, but we need to ask you some stuff!" Amitie said.

"Can it wait? I need to renew this book from the library." He said, holding up the book he always carried.

"How about we go with you and ask you after you return the book?" Amitie suggested.

"I suppose that works. Come along now. I don't have all day" He said, pushing up his glasses. And thus the trio left. They went into the forest, it was known that it was shorter to cut through the woods than to go through town.

Then five Donguri Gaeru jumped out at them.

"Ribbit!" One of them said.

"Huh?" Amitie said.

"T-they look upset." Lidelle pointed out.

"RIBBET RIBBET!" the Donguri Gaeru said.

"It looks like we'll have to fight." Klug said.

"Alright! A puyo battle!" Amitie said. The Donguri Gaeru shook their heads and one attacked her.

"Ow!" She said, "what do we do?"

"Well, fight back! Obviously!" Klug said.

"W-what?" Lidelle stammered.

"Hmpf, do you two really not know how to fight outside of Puyo Battles?" He asked. Lidelle nodded and Amitie sheepishly nodded.

"I suppose I'll need to teach you…" Klug said.

Enter Battle Sequence

"Alright, first things first. You should try a regular attack. Without a weapon, it won't do much with your pathetic attack stat, but try it anyway." Klug said. Amitie went up and punched one of the enemies.

Then the enemy attacked her.

"Lidelle! Listen up!" Klug said.

"Meep!" Lidelle said.

"Amitie got hurt, but you have spells that can heal! Use one!" He said.

Lidelle turned to Amitie.

"Vento Curativo!" She said, holding up her arms. A surge of wind surrounded Amitie, healing her.

"Now, you'll notice you're MP went down. Once it's gone, you can't use spells. The stronger the spell, the greater the MP cost." Klug said.

"Wow! That's cool!" Amitie said.

"Its basic information. I assumed everyone knew this." He said, sighing, "Go and use an attack spell."

Amitie pointed at the enemy.

"Flame!" She yelled, as a flame came from her finger and defeated the enemy. The enemy attacked again, this time it attacked Lidelle.

"Alright, the tutorial is over. We have things to do!" Klug said.

His book hovered in front of him, and he looked almost like he was in a trance.

"Vis Attrahendi!" He yelled. A spacial attack hit all the enemies, defeating them.

Each child got EXP. Amitie leveled up! Lidelle leveled up!

"Wow! How did you do that!?" Amitie asked.

"I've been doing this for quite awhile. I daresay I'm an expert." He bragged.

"I hope the Donguri Gaeru are ok…" Lidelle said.

"They'll be fine. We only knocked them out." Klug said dismissively, "Now come on!"

The trio went through the woods, fighting enemies.

Eventually, they made it to the library. They opened the door.

"Hello Mr. Akuma!" Amitie said.

"Hello Amitie." Akuma said. Klug approached him.

"I'm here to return this book." He said, giving Akuma his book. The moment it was marked as returned, he then said "and I would like to take it back out."

Akuma sighed.

"Hey Klug. We came along to ask you something." Amitie said as Klug renewed his book.

"Alright. You've followed me this far. What is it?" He asked.

"Do you know what The Crimson Demon and The Tome Of Sealing are?" She asked. He looked a little taken aback.

"O-Of course I know! But why do you want to know?" He asked.

"I had a dream about it…" She replied.

"Well, The Crimson Demon was sealed away centuries ago. No one knows why, however upon being sealed in The Tome Of Sealing, it was split in two. It's body gained sentience, and it's spirit resides in the tome." Klug explained.

"Wait! So it's been in the tome all alone?!" Amitie asked.

"That amount of time in isolation could drive even the most virtuous person to villainy and madness…" Akuma said, looking at Klug's book.

"Wow…I can't help but feel bad for it…" Amitie said.

"By now, the being it once was is gone, most likely replaced with something horrible, kuma." Akuma said, continuing to stare at the book.

"Well, if you don't need anything else, I'll be on my way!" Klug said. So Amitie and Lidelle said goodbye.

"T-that poor creature…" Lidelle said.

"Well, if what Akuma said is true, and it gets unleashed, then I'll need to stop it!" Amitie said.

"I-I suppose. But how will you stop it from being unsealed?" Lidelle asked.

"I'll just find The Tome Of Sealing! Wait…I don't even know what a tome is! And I have homework! I gotta go, bye Lidelle!" Amitie said, running off.

That night, Amitie went to sleep. Once more the voice spoke.

"Amitie…Amitie…" it said.

"Its you! Please, tell me! How do I stop The Crimson Demon!?" She asked.

"If the seal breaks, only you can stop it. Please don't let the seal break!" The voice said.

"What happens if it does?!" She asked.

"Then…your friends will be in grave danger…two of your friends may not survive…" The voice said.

"WHAT!? WHO!? WHO'S GOING TO DIE!?" Amitie cried. However, with that, she woke up.

Amitie gasped for breath. She calmed herself down after a few breaths. She ran her hand through her…hat? She thought she had taken it off before sleeping. Oh well, she took it off now.

"The Crimson Demon…I can't let the seal break…" She thought to herself.
