(Hours passed as her parents sit and wait in the waiting room for news on their daughter and grandchildren. Shelley had called her brothers and Kelli to tell them what happened and they was on their way.)

Shelley: God what happened?

Mike: It's my fault.

Shelley: (looks at him) What?

Mike: I went up to her room to see why she wasn't talking to me since that dinner. I pushed her to hard and she snapped saying that she's moving out and that how she was an embarrassment to me.

Shelley: Why would you do that? You know the risks she's under with her condition and you just had to provoke her.

Mike: I wanted to apologize. I just wanted my little girl back to how things were. I know I was hard on her but only because I love her and she just has so much to live for.

Shelley: (shakes her head) She can still accomplish those things Mike. Just because she's having the babies doesn't mean her life stops. If anything this has only pushed her even harder to be able to take care of them. I can't believe you right now.

(Just as she was about to rip him a new one her sons and Kelli walks towards them with scared looks on their faces.)

Don: Any news?

Kelli: Has anyone come to talk to you yet?

Paul: How did this happen?

Shelley: One at a time please. No new news and no we have been out here for three hours.

Paul: She was fine when I talked to her this morning.

Shelley: Ask your father.

Dom: Sad what did you do?

Mike: Look right now our focus needs to be on Mariska and the twins.

Paul: What happened dad? Did you push her too far this time making her feel less than she already feels. She made a mistake, shit happens and you had no right to talk to her like that.

Dom: Paul now's not the time.

Paul: When will it be huh? You know she has been talking about moving out and getting far away from you.

Shelley: What?

Paul: Yeah, I've tried to convince her but once her mind is set there's not stopping her. Why do you think she's been working so hard to save money and get as many hours she needs to graduate.

Kelli: I tried to get her to slow down but she's as stubborn as a mule.

Shelley: Mike you better pray to god that they pull through or so help me god.

(She gives her husband a look that would make Alaska melt. She was just about to go ask for assistance when she sees a doctor come from the double doors. He walks up to them taking his mask off so he can talk clearly.)

Dr. Mitchell: Hello I'm Dr. Mitchel. Are you the family of Mariska?

Shelley: Yes we are. How are they?

Dr. Mitchell: I'm not going to lie because it doesn't make anything better but it was touch and go for a minute. Her uterus had tore from the wall and that what caused the bleeding and pain. I was able to stop it in time but she lost a large amount of blood. I also had to do an emergency c-section because the babies heart rate was very low but we got them stable. Since they are only 32 weeks we are keeping them in the P-ICU until the lungs are fully developed. They have been checked over and they will have no complications from this. Now Mariska has yet to remain conscious which is my biggest concern. Like I said she had lost a significant amount of blood and required two bags to give back what she lost. She's is being moved to a private room right now. So we are just waiting on her to come out of this deep sleep she's in.

Shelley: So she will pull through?

Dr. Mitchell: She has a 100% chance of a full recovery. Her body has just been through a very traumatic moment so it's best for her to rest right now.

Kelli: What about the babies will they pull through?

De. Mitchell: My honest opinion they are strong so I don't see why they wouldn't. But things can take a turn because of their undeveloped lungs and weight.

(He looks around and can see the scared, concerned looks on all their faces.)

Shelley: Ok, thank you Dr. Mitchell.

Dr. Mitchell: My pleasure Mrs. Hargitay.

Mike: When can we we them?

Dr. Mitchell: I'll have someone come get you all as soon as she's settled.

Shelley: What about the twins? Can we see them for a few minutes while we wait to be taking to my daughter room?

Dr. Mitchell: Sure, they are in incubators to keep their boy temperature and a tubes that gives them the nutrients they need and oxygen.

(He walks them to the fourth floor and up to a window where they see the twins.)

Shelley: (a sob escapes) Oh god.

Paul: Their so tiny.

Kelli: How long do they have to stay in there?

Dr. Mitchell: I want to keep them in there at least a month. Once they make progress they will be moved to a regular bed until the lungs are developed and at least weigh six pounds.

Shelley: (cover her mouth) This is not how things was suppose to go. Everything was going so good, she was so happy and was so focused on making sure they were healthy.

Dom: They are Hargitay mom, they are fighters just like their mom. All we have to do is make sure we are here for them.

Kelli: Dom is right.

Mike: This is all my fault.

Paul: Dad come on, that doesn't matter right now.

Shelley: He's right, the only thing right now is Mariska and those girls.

(As they watch the twins from behind the glass, it was then that Mike made up his mind and do everything he can to get his daughter to forgive him. A few minutes later a nurse came and got them to go sit with Mariska.)
