Chapter 8

Bluster and Donkey Kong stood there for a moment, frozen with fear. They didn't know what to do. King K. Rool stared back at them, as if trying to understand what was happening.

Bluster began to slowly back away, hoping to escape from the giant, scary King K. Rool. He moved inch by inch, his eyes darting around. But just as he thought they might get away, two Kremlings suddenly appeared behind them, blocking their path.

Bluster gulped and tried to stay calm. "So... how's life?" he asked with a nervous smile, his forehead dripping with sweat. He hoped the question might distract King K. Rool, but he knew it was a long shot.

King K Rool scowled. "What's the meaning of this!?" He suddenly yelled, startling the two Kongs. "Uh... erm... we were just... doing stuff... and..." Bluster struggled to find the right words to say. Oh, I hate being in these kinds of situations. He thought.

King K. Rool turned his gaze to Donkey Kong. "How did you escape? And how did this rat get into my lair?" he hissed. Bluster turned to him with a disgusted face. "I am not a rat! I am a rich and successful ape!"

"You're not helping, Bluster…" Donkey Kong whispered to him. K. Rool's eyes grew darker. "Answer my question, ape."

Donkey Kong glared back, trying to be brave. "I don't have to answer any question you ask," he snapped. K. Rool growled angrily. "It doesn't matter. I'll just lock you up again. And this time, you'll have company!"

King K. Rool turned around and roared, "KLUMP!" His voice echoed loudly through the lair. After a few seconds, Klump came running in. "Yes, sir?" he asked.

"Lock up these Kongs," King K. Rool ordered. "And make sure there is no escape." Klump nodded and quickly called for some Kremling guards. The guards surrounded Bluster and Donkey Kong.

"Oh hell no. I'm not going down without a fight," Donkey Kong growled. Bluster looked scared. "Fight? I can't fight!" he said, trembling.

Donkey Kong gave him a reassuring smile. "Watch and learn, Bluster." Then, Donkey Kong lunged at the Kremlings, knocking one of them out. The other Kremlings charged at him with their spears, but Donkey Kong wasn't afraid. He dodged their attacks with ease, moving quickly and powerfully.

Bluster watched in awe as Donkey Kong fought off the Kremlings. "I could've totally done that myself." he said, even though he knew that never in a million years could he do that.

Donkey Kong grabbed a spear from one of the Kremlings and used it to block their attacks. "We have to keep fighting, Bluster!" he shouted. "We can't let them win!"

Just then, a couple of kremlings came up to Bluster with smirks on their faces as they raised their spears. Bluster picked up a stick from the ground that had just been lying around (for some reason) and pointed it at the kremlings.

"STAY BACK!" He yelled. "ILL STAB YOU WITH THIS STICK!" The two kremlings looked at each other and burst out laughing. "IM WARNING YOU, ITLL HURT!" Bluster shouted, feeling quite angry that he was getting laughed at.

But the kremlings continued on laughing. Bluster growled and run up to them. Then he wacked one of them in the snout. The kremling yelped in pain and ran away. The other one charged at Bluster, who knocked the kremling off of his feet by wacking his legs.

Bluster looked around and noticed more kremlings were coming. Donkey Kong backed up and ended up next to him. "There's too many! We'll never be able to fight them off!" Donkey cried.

"Your right! Let's give up" Bluster exclaimed. "We can't though..." Donkey said. But he knew that they didn't really have a choice. King K Rool laughed heartlessly. "There's nothing you can do to stop me now!" He laughed. Donkey shook his head. "What do you want with me!?" He blurted, that mystery still on his mind.

K. Rool smiled a sinister grin. "Well, if you really want to know, I guess I can tell you," he said with a cold tone. He took a step closer to Donkey Kong and continued, "As you probably know, I'm building a giant robot. It's not just any robot—it's huge and powerful enough to destroy Kongo Bongo Island!"

Donkey Kong and Bluster exchanged worried glances, trying to understand the gravity of the situation. K. Rool's eyes gleamed with a dark satisfaction. "But there was one problem," he said, his voice growing more sinister. "I didn't have a power source. That's where you come in." He pointed a long, bony finger directly at Donkey Kong.

"I planned to use you as my power source. You're the strongest ape on Kongo Bongo Island, so you would be perfect for it. All I had to do was drain you of your strength and transfer it into my robot. And now, it's finally done!" K. Rool chuckled to himself. "You're lucky your friend came to save you just in time..."

Bluster, who had barely been listening but only heard the last part, scoffed loudly. "We are not friends," he said defiantly. K. Rool rolled his eyes and shrugged. "Whatever you say," he replied.

Donkey Kong's face turned red with anger. "That's sick! You're sick! How could you do such a thing?!" he shouted, his anger growing with each minute.

K. Rool's smirk grew wider. "I do what I must to stay in power," he said coldly. "And no one can stop me, especially not you." Donkey Kong clenched his fists tightly, his resolve strengthening. "We'll see about that," he said with determination. "We're not giving up, no matter what."

K. Rool let out a mocking laugh. "You're outnumbered!" he declared triumphantly. "There's absolutely nothing you can do now! What makes you think you're going to get out of this situation?" He asked with a cruel sneer.

"Uh..." Donkey Kong mumbled, struggling to find a way out of their predicament.

"You don't know, do you?" K. Rool taunted, enjoying Donkey Kong's discomfort. Donkey Kong fell silent, unable to come up with a response. K. Rool's smile widened. "That's what I thought," he said smugly.

As K. Rool reached out to grab Donkey Kong, there was a sudden movement in the shadows. K. Rool turned his head in confusion, trying to figure out what was happening. Out of nowhere, Diddy Kong leaped from the shadows and landed on K Rool's head, starting to attack him!
