Chapter 8
A month passes swiftly, filled with planning, training, and countless conversations about their vision for Sevestar Island. During this time, Ash frequently visits Alice's house, spending hours together in her room, discussing their plans and growing closer.
One afternoon, as Ash and Alice pore over more of her father's drafts, they are interrupted by her younger sisters, Eve and Flora, who burst into the room with curious expressions.
"What are you two always doing in here?" Eve asks, eyeing the scattered papers and maps.
Flora nods, adding, "Yeah, you two have been so secretive lately."
Alice smiles at her sisters, feeling a mix of excitement and trepidation. "We're working on something really big. Ash and I are going to create a new region."
Eve and Flora exchange skeptical looks. "A new region?" Flora repeats, incredulously. "But a region takes hundreds of years to form! How are you two going to do that?"
Alice takes a deep breath, prepared for their skepticism. "I know it sounds impossible, but we have a plan. With the help of the Legendary Pokémon, we're going to shape Sevestar Island into a region that trainers from all over the world will want to visit."
Eve raises an eyebrow. "Legendary Pokémon? And they're just going to help you because you asked nicely?"
Ash steps in, his voice calm and confident. "We've already spoken to Arceus and gained its support. This isn't just a dream—we have the means to make it happen. But it's going to take a lot of work and dedication."
Flora crosses her arms, still doubtful. "I don't know, it just sounds...ridiculous."
Alice looks at her sisters with determination. "I understand why you feel that way. But we believe in this dream, and we're willing to put in the effort to make it a reality. We want to create a place where both humans and Pokémon can thrive together."
Eve and Flora exchange another look, this time less skeptical and more thoughtful. "Well," Eve says slowly, "if anyone can do it, I guess it would be you two."
Flora nods, a small smile forming on her lips. "Yeah, and if you need our help, we'll be here."
Ash and Alice share a grateful glance, feeling the support and love from Alice's sisters. With renewed determination, they dive back into their work, knowing they have allies who believe in their vision.
With the support of Alice's sisters, Ash feels more confident than ever. He decides it's time to reach out to some influential figures who could provide guidance and resources for his ambitious project.
Ash takes out his phone and dials a familiar number. After a few rings, the cheerful voice of Mr. Goodshow, the President of the Pokémon League, answers.
"Ash! It's great to hear from you! How's the World Champion doing?" Mr. Goodshow's voice booms through the speaker.
"Hi, Mr. Goodshow. I'm doing well, thank you," Ash replies. "I need to discuss something important with you and Professor Oak. Can we set up a video call?"
"Of course, Ash. I'll get Professor Oak on the line. Give me a moment."
A few minutes later, the screen splits to show the smiling faces of Mr. Goodshow and Professor Oak.
"Ash, my boy! It's always a pleasure to see you," Professor Oak greets warmly. "What can we do for you today?"
Ash smiles, feeling a surge of gratitude for their support. "Thank you both for joining. I wanted to discuss a new project I'm working on, but it's important that this stays confidential for now."
Mr. Goodshow and Professor Oak exchange curious glances but nod in agreement. "You have our word, Ash," Mr. Goodshow assures him.
Taking a deep breath, Ash begins, "I'm planning to create a new Pokémon region."
Both Mr. Goodshow and Professor Oak look taken aback. Mr. Goodshow is the first to speak. "A new region? Ash, that's an enormous undertaking. Regions take hundreds of years to develop. How are you planning to do this?"
Ash nods, understanding their skepticism. "I know it sounds impossible, but I've already gained the support of the Legendary Pokémon, including Arceus. We're going to shape the island and establish a new region together."
Professor Oak's eyes widen in surprise. "That's an incredible idea, Ash. But creating a region involves more than just land and Pokémon. It requires infrastructure, governance, and a lot of support."
Ash nods again. "I understand. That's why I need your advice and guidance. We want to keep this a secret until we're ready to reveal it to the world."
Mr. Goodshow rubs his chin thoughtfully. "Keeping it under wraps will be challenging, given your status as World Champion and the hero who defeated Team Rainbow Rocket. However, we can work discreetly to provide the support you need."
Professor Oak adds, "I'll help with the research and resources. You can use my lab as a base for any scientific or technical needs. And I'll make sure to keep everything confidential."
"Thank you both so much," Ash says, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. "Your support means everything to me."
Mr. Goodshow smiles warmly. "We're proud of you, Ash. This is a monumental task, but we have faith in your abilities. Just let us know what you need."
Ash nods, determination shining in his eyes. "I'll keep you updated on my progress. Thank you again."
As the call ends, Ash turns back to his plans with a renewed sense of purpose. "We're one step closer to making this dream a reality."
With the support of Mr. Goodshow and Professor Oak, Ash continues his planning, confident that he can transform the island into a thriving Pokémon region.
After the call with Mr. Goodshow and Professor Oak, Ash and Alice decide to take a break from planning and enjoy the peaceful evening. They sit on a hill overlooking the serene landscape, the setting sun casting a warm glow around them.
Ash breaks the comfortable silence, his voice thoughtful. "You know, Alice, I've been on so many journeys, traveled to so many regions, and met so many people. Each journey was unique and taught me something new."
Alice looks at him with curiosity, encouraging him to continue. "What was it like? Traveling to all those places and meeting all those people?"
Ash smiles, reminiscing. "It was amazing. I traveled with some great friends. There was Misty, who was a Gym Leader and loved Water-type Pokémon. She had a bit of a temper but a heart of gold. Then there was May, who was a Coordinator and brought a lot of enthusiasm and creativity to our travels. Dawn was another Coordinator with a lot of spirit and determination. And of course, Serena, who had a special place in my heart."
Alice listens intently, feeling a mix of admiration and slight apprehension. "It sounds like you had a lot of close friends."
Ash nods, his expression becoming more serious. "I did. Each one of them was important to me in different ways. But you know, Alice, you're different."
Alice's heart skips a beat, and she looks at him with wide eyes. "Different? How?"
Ash takes a deep breath, choosing his words carefully. "With you, it's not just about the journey or the adventures. It's about how we understand each other, how we share our dreams and our pasts. I feel a connection with you that goes beyond just being friends or traveling companions."
Alice's cheeks flush, and she looks down, feeling a bit self-conscious. "I... I'm not sure if I deserve that, Ash. I've been through a lot, and sometimes I feel like I'm not good enough."
Ash gently takes her hand, his touch reassuring. "Alice, you're one of the strongest people I know. You've faced so much and come out of it with a kind heart and a determined spirit. Your past doesn't define you; it's your strength and your kindness that make you special."
Alice looks up, meeting his eyes. "Do you really think so?"
Ash nods firmly. "I do. You've inspired me in so many ways. You make me want to be a better person, and I can't imagine this journey without you by my side."
Alice feels a warmth spread through her chest, and for the first time in a long while, she starts to believe in herself. "Thank you, Ash. That means more to me than you can imagine."
They sit in silence for a moment, the connection between them growing stronger. The sun dips below the horizon, and the first stars begin to twinkle in the night sky.
Ash takes a deep breath, knowing it's time to say what he's been feeling for so long. "Alice, there's something I've been wanting to tell you."
Alice's heart races, anticipation and nervousness mixing together. "What is it, Ash?"
Ash looks at her, his eyes filled with emotion. "I've traveled with a lot of amazing people, but no one has made me feel the way you do. I care about you, Alice, more than just a friend or a companion. I think... I'm in love with you."
Alice's breath catches in her throat. For a moment, she is speechless. She can hardly believe what she's hearing. "Ash... I... I feel the same way. I've admired you for so long, and being with you has been the happiest time of my life. I love you too."
Relief and joy flood Ash's face. He gently pulls Alice into a hug, holding her close. "I'm so glad to hear that, Alice. I promise, I'll always be here for you."
Alice hugs him back, feeling a sense of completeness and happiness she never thought possible. "And I'll always be here for you, Ash. Together, we can achieve anything."
They sit together under the starlit sky, their hearts full of love and hope for the future. The journey ahead may be challenging, but with each other, they know they can face anything.
After a moment, Ash pulls back slightly, just enough to look into Alice's eyes. "You know, when I first started this journey, I never imagined it would lead me here, with you. You've changed my life in ways I can't even describe."
Alice smiles, her eyes shining with unshed tears. "You've changed mine too, Ash. I used to think I was alone in my dreams and struggles, but now I know I'm not. We have each other."
Ash's thumb gently brushes a tear from Alice's cheek. "I promise we'll face everything together. No more feeling alone."
Alice leans into his touch, her heart swelling with affection. "Thank you, Ash. For everything."
As the night deepens, they continue to talk, sharing their hopes and dreams for the future. The bond between them grows stronger with every word, every shared smile and laugh. They know that, together, they can make their dream of creating a new region a reality.
Alice rests her head on Ash's shoulder, feeling a peace she hasn't known in years. "Do you ever think about the future, Ash? What it will be like when we've built the region?"
Ash wraps an arm around her, holding her close. "All the time. I think about the cities we'll build, the gyms, and the Pokémon that will call it home. But most of all, I think about sharing it all with you."
Alice feels a warmth spread through her chest. "I can't wait to see it all come to life. And with you by my side, I know it will be perfect."
They sit in comfortable silence for a while, simply enjoying the presence of each other. The stars above seem to shine a little brighter, as if celebrating their newfound love.
Eventually, Ash speaks again, his voice soft and full of promise. "Alice, I know the road ahead won't be easy, but as long as we're together, I believe we can overcome anything."
Alice nods, her heart filled with conviction. "I believe that too, Ash. With you, I feel like anything is possible."
They spend the rest of the evening wrapped in each other's arms, whispering sweet nothings and dreaming of the future they will build together. As the night turns into dawn, they know that their love will be the foundation of everything they create, a testament to their strength and their bond.
The journey may be long and challenging, but with love and determination, Ash and Alice are ready to face whatever comes their way. Together, they will create a region that reflects their dreams, their love, and their unbreakable bond.
Here is a new chapter, and now we have the confession. I hope you like this chapter.
