Ambushed

(With Harry and the others)

"Where would you like to eat Bella?" Harry asked the girl.

"I don't know." She bit her lip.

"Would you like me to tell you about the restaurants around here?" He asked.

"Yes please. I have never been to any of them." She said.

"Okay. Is there a type of food you want? Italian? German? Chinese? This alley has restaurants from all over the world." He told her.

"Um, I have been craving Chinese food." She answered.

"Okay. There are two places. One that serves an American version of Chinese food. The other serves authentic Chinese food. I'm talking about recipes that were passed down from parent to child. Food you could get from a restaurant or a home in China." He said.

"There is a difference?" She asked, surprised.

"Yes." He smiled.

"I want the authentic kind." She answered.

"Dragon Palace it is." He said, "Follow me."

Harry took them to the restaurant. The style was from the Ming Dynasty era. They went inside and to Bella and Charlie's surprise Harry spoke perfect mandarin to the hostess. She took them to a table and they sat down. They were given menus and they were happy to see an English translation in them. They even listed the ingredients next to the dish.

Bella and her father had water. Harry ordered green tea and Kingsley ordered Arabica coffee. Harry ordered Miso Soup. It was made with seaweed, bean curd and scallion in a soybean paste broth. Kingsley ordered a spicy crab salad. Bella ordered a Seafood Sunomono. It was made with kani, octopus, shrimp, white fish, and cucumber with sweet vinegar sauce. Charlie had White Tuna Sashimi.

Bella and Charlie ordered Chinese food many times and this was different. It wasn't as salty as they were used to. They really enjoyed the food. They now understood what Harry meant when he said American version of Chinese food. As they ate they quietly talked about the trial. Halfway through their meal they were ambushed by the press. No one was happy about it.

"Lord Potter, what is your relationship with Miss Swan and her father?"

"Do you believe you had been targeted, Lord Potter?"

"What went on during the trial?"

"When do you plan on having an heir, Lord Potter?"

"Are you aware that you are the last of your line, Lord Potter?"

"Miss Swan, are you sleeping with Lord Potter?"

"Have you ever had sex with Lord Potter, Miss Swan?"

"Have you ever seen your father and Lord Potter having sex, Miss Swan?"

"Why were you targeted, Miss Swan?"

"Mr Swan, are you in a relationship with Lord Potter?"

"Are you aware that Lord Potter will put your family at risk, Mr Swan?"

"How is the sex with Lord Potter, Mr Swan?"

"Are you aware that your relationship with Lord Potter ends his line, Mr Swan?"

Why are you here Minister Shacklebolt?"

"Can you tell us whether or not Lord Potter is evil, minister?"

"Minister, will this case cause American wizards to declare war on British wizards?"

"ENOUGH!" The owner yelled. "How dare you come into our restaurant and harass our customers?"

"These are British reporters sir." Harry said.

"Excuse me?" The man looked very confused.

Hao Guangyuan lived in China until four years ago. He moved to America and opened up a restaurant. He never went to the muggle world so he had no idea what their laws did to protect people from reporters. America's magical world and China's magical world did a lot to protect them. One law prevented them from entering businesses without permission. None of these reporters had that permission.

Another law was to protect against harassment. These reporters were certainly harassing his customers, When Lord Potter said they were British reporters it made him wonder. They must not have those laws there in the magical world.

"I can answer that." The British Minister said.

"Please do." He said.

"Back in magical Britain there are no laws stopping reporters from harassing people. They just can't print anything about a minor without their legal guardian's permission. I have been working to add laws but unfortunately past ministers have set us behind so much that there are other problems I am trying to fix as well." He said.

"I see." He frowned.

"Harry happens to be their favorite subject." He glared at them. "Most of the time they just make something up. I apologize for this since I thought they would have realized the laws are different here and their actions can cause them to get arrested."

"What?!" Many paled and looked at their minister in shock.

"We aren't in Britain. We are in America and as such you must follow their laws or you will face the consequences. You don't have diplomatic immunity to protect you and I'm not going to help any of you." He told them.

"Your minister is correct." An American auror said as he stepped into view.

"In fact you are all under arrest." A female auror said, also stepping into view.

Soon more aurors revealed themselves. They began arresting the reporters. Harry spotted a beetle flying away. He was quick to alert an auror. He wasn't going to let Skeeter get away, especially since he knew she was going to lie. During the death eater trials it came out that she was an animagus and her form was a beetle. She paid the fine as well as spent a year in jail. Now there wasn't anything stopping her from writing lies for more readers. Well there were new laws but she always found ways around that.

"Sir?"

"Yes Lord Potter?" The woman looked at him.

"That beetle right there is an animagus. Her name is Rita Skeeter and she changed to avoid arrest." He informed her.

"Oh really?" She smirked.

"Yes ma'am." He said.

"Wonderful." She grabbed her wand.

One spell later and Skeeter changed back and landed on the ground, hard. The blonde woman looked confused before she spotted a smirking Harry Potter and a smirking auror with her wand out. She growled and tried to make a run for it. She was caught quickly and arrested. She was read her rights and what she was going to be charged for. Soon the reporters were taken away. Kingsley looked at the owner.

"I am so sorr-" The owner cut him off.

"You have nothing to apologize for. You said it yourself that you were left with a mess and you aren't in control of their actions. They should have looked up the laws of this country since they came here." Hao said.

"I will pay for the damages nonetheless." He said, looking at what the reporters had ruined.

"A simple spell will fix it." He assured him.

"I-" He cut himself off realizing that fighting with the elderly man was useless.

"Finish your meal." He said to them and left.

The group did just that. When the bill came they split it. Charlie paid for himself and his daughter. Harry paid for himself and Kingsley did the same. Harry and Kingsley left a bigger tip than Charlie. They told the waitress that half of the tip was to go to the owner and they left. The minute they were outside more reporters ambushed them. They surrounded the four and they too asked inappropriate questions. Once more it was British reporters. These ones had escaped being arrested.

Now that they weren't inside a building the group was able to use magic. Harry was quick to silence them. He didn't in the restaurant because he was unsure how the reporters were going to react and they had already broken many things before. After that he put a shield up around Bella. As he was using a spell to amplify his voice a reporter tried to use a stun spell on him. Kingsley was quick to stop the spell. Harry gave him a nod in thanks before speaking.

"Enough!" He said, "I understand it is your job to report the trial but you all are going too far. Not only were you told at the trial the results would be released as well as a speech being made by the head of the auror department but the questions you are now asking are inappropriate. No, I am not having sex with Bella and my relationship is none of your business. Leave us alone." He said, before canceling the amplifying spell.

The silencing spell was canceled and once more they began harassing them. Once more the aurors arrived and arrested them. The group went back to Charlie's house. Bella went to call her mom and let her know what happened. Meanwhile Kingsley contacted the British ministry to inform them of what happened. He then left to go to the American Ministry.

Charlie and Harry were left alone. The brown haired male hugged Harry. He knew the poor man was stressed about what happened. Harry sank into the hug.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. Hopefully that will be the last of it." He said.

Harry snorted at that. "I wish."

After that they decided to decompress with cuddles and tv. Bella joined them in the living room after her call with her mom ended. She sat in the chair and watched tv with them. They did this until Teddy came home. Then Harry went and made dinner. The rest of their night was uneventful.
