A.N. I do not own Sailor Moon.

Koan rolled her shoulders, exhausted after a long day reading fortunes both real and embellished. When she stepped onto the sidewalk, she sensed danger and ducked around the corner, just in time. A youma not 100 feet away was drawing a crystal out of a human!

"Stop right there!" Sailor Moon called out as she appeared. "It's a rotten creature to prey on young hearts in love! In the name of the moon, I will punish you!"

Covering her mouth, Koan longed for her powers as she watched the creature turn and blast something at the soldier who had saved her. She watched Moon throw her tiara as a distraction, stumble, fight, and eventually use her wand. She was right about to go to her, when she heard something go off and watched her pause to answer before pushing the crystal back into the victim, then bolt away.

For a long time, Koan stayed hidden, but then came out to help the girl. After a little chit chat, she put her on her way. She looked in the direction Sailor Moon had gone and longed to follow her. "Good luck, Usagi-chan."

Days later, Koan saw Usagi wandering past with her friends and raised her hand, about to call out a greeting. She frowned though, pausing when she noticed the set to her shoulders, and the way her eyes looked down. She moved a little closer to the group, hearing them talk about their plans. "Usagi-chan!" she called out, seeing that she wasn't contributing.

Startled, Usagi looked up and met her eyes. "Koan-chan! It's so nice to see you!" She stepped from her group towards her.

"Oh, it's you. Yeah, we haven't seen you in forever." Rei paused, looking her over curiously. "What are you doing around here?"

"Just getting off work." Koan smiled and turned towards Usagi. "Calveras said you owe her a pizza night. Do you want to come home with me? We were going to watch movies tonight."

Minako looked between them, curious. "I mean, we were gonna hit the temple for a study session, but if you want to go hang out with them, I think that sounds cool."

Glancing at Koan, then back at her fellow soldiers, Usagi bit her lip. "Um, yeah, I want to join you all tonight. Maybe next time we can all hang out!"

"Take care you don't shirk your studies too much, Usagi," Ami told her, but she was smiling. "It is good to know you all are doing well."

"Thanks." Koan linked her arm with Usagi's and led her away. "Hey, you okay?" she asked after they were a little ways away.

"Yeah. Just, have you seen the news? How there's other soldiers now? They kind of aren't on our team. Not fully. I've just been thinking about them a lot, and I kind of don't feel like trying to stare at math all night."

"You won us over, so I am sure you can win them over," Koan told her confidently, trying to cheer her up. "Now, we should pick up the pizzas for movie night."
