A/N: Hope you all enjoyed that soft Murphy moment as much as I had writing it

When Echo woke, the first thing she noticed was that she was tied up. As her eyes slowly opened and her vision came into focus she saw Clarke sitting across from her. She could only assume Clarke was enjoying this given their past.

"How's your head?" She asked.

"How's yours?" Echo retorted. "I imagine becoming a traitor in the eyes of everyone you ever cared about must suck."

Echo had the slight satisfaction of seeing Clarke's face harden a moment before going back to the smug look she held on her face.

"It does." Clarke admitted, "But if it means keeping Madi safe, I can live with it."

"The great Wanheda. Willing to do anything to protect her people. Correction: Person." Echo glanced at Madi sitting in the back of the room. "Too bad she doesn't appreciate it."

Clarke took a moment before leaning forward in her chair. "We've all got blood on our hands. Or do you think those people you blew up in Mount Weather don't count because you were following orders?"

"I should've killed you when I had the chance." Echo said lowly.

Clarke sat up straight again, "Well that makes my dilemma a little easier then." She then nodded her head toward the two men who were stationed to stay and watch them. "Those men over there have orders to kill you as soon as we stop talking. I prefer they didn't."

"Why do you care?" Echo asked with no emotion. Trying to keep her thoughts from drifting to Griffin and the possibility of leaving him behind when all was said and done.

"Bellamy loved you." Clarke started, hands together in her lap. "You were good for him, and it seems he was good for you too. To even see a child come from it.." Her words drifted off at the last sentence. The slight discomfort of thinking on how that came to be.

She then offered a small and quiet laugh, "It didn't go unnoticed his name either. Griffin..I'm sorry if Bellamy forced you to name him that."

Echo then scoffed. "Bellamy's not dead Clarke." She told the girl after realizing how she was talking about him in the past tense. No doubt because of McCreary and his pride in thinking he was going to win. "At least he wasn't until.." She tried not to think of the massacre in the gorge. His body possibly lying amongst those who were dead. But shoved it aside the best she could as she continued.

"He survived in Polis, long enough to march straight into your betrayal here." Echo watched the emotions change in Clarke, seeing the hurt and realization. "What, now you care about Bellamy?"

"I always cared." She bit back.

"Well don't worry. If he's still alive in that gorge, he won't be once McCreary forces Shaw to use the missiles. No doubt torturing Raven to get him to do it."

Clarke opened her mouth to speak but Echo cut her off, "Oh and you should know. I was the one who named Griffin, not Bellamy."

Clarke looked at her in surprise, before her brows furrowed showing her confusion. "W-What?"

"Bellamy practically tortured himself after we landed on the Ring. Leaving you behind pained him. It wasn't until Griffin was born and I gave him his name, that Bellamy saw it as a sign and finally allowed himself to let go of the guilt and move on."

Clarke blinked back the beginning of tears as she tried to justify her actions, "He forced the flame on Madi."

"But she took it willingly, didn't you Heda?" Echo raised her voice and looked to Madi even though she knew she was right.

"She knows I did." Madi said from her spot.

Clarke stood up and tried to reprimand her about the reasons why. Saying how it was because she was brave and reckless along with the fact that she had been in trouble.

Madi looked up at her, her voice softening just slightly. "Right..I did it because I love you."

Clarke and Madi continued their back and forth, Echo had tuned most of it out as the pain in her head was finally starting to subside. No doubt there would be a bruise on the side of her head in the days to come. She tried to test the bind around her hands but it was too tight for her to wiggle out of.

That's when the two guards decided they'd heard enough and stood up, making their way toward Echo. Checking his gun and cocking it. As he stood in front of Echo he slowly pointed the gun up at her. Her eyes closing as she took a shaky breath.

My fight is over. Bellamy, Griffin, I love you..

But the shot that rang out never hit her, opening her eyes she watched the guy fall and looked to see Clarke shoot the other straight in the head. Echo let out a breath she didn't realize she had been holding as Clarke marched over to untie her.

"We need to get to the front before the missiles do. We'll take the rover." Madi told them as she stood beside them.

Echo moved toward the dead guard and took his gun and ammo, "Good. Murphy and Emori have one of the cannons we can use."

As they started walking Madi noticed that Clarke hadn't moved, turning she looked to her mother figure. "Clarke we have to move."

"No, you have to go." Clarke told her. "I'm going to stop that transport ship from taking off so you can lead your people through that gorge."

Clarke then pulled a piece of the rover out of her pocket and handed it to Madi, telling her she would need it to start the engine. Madi wanted her to come along but Clarke knew she needed to stay and do her part, reminding the girl that she would always protect her.

"Listen to me. You are so special Madi, I knew it the day I met you. When you led me into that bear trap. All this time you thought I was keeping you alive. But it was you who saved me." Clarke told her as she placed her hands on Madi's shoulders. "You are Madi kom Louwoda Kilron Kru, heir to Becca Pramheda. Successor to Lexa kom Trikru. Yes I loved her, but nothing compared to how much I love you."

The two then shared a hug, almost as if it was a final goodbye. But Clarke reassured her that they would see each other again.

Knowing they needed to get moving, Echo gently reminded them that time was running out. Nodding, Madi pulled away and followed Echo out of the building and toward the rover. Echo and Clarke shared a respected look toward each other before she too walked out leaving Clarke on her own.

Madi opened the hood and reinstalled the piece that Clarke had taken out, then jumped into the front seat and turned the ignition to start it. Echo climbed into the passenger seat and pointed out where to go to meet up with Murphy and Emori.

Having a vehicle helped them get there much faster and before Madi could even place it in park Echo was opening the door and jumping out, hurrying toward the cave entrance.

"Griffin!" She called out, her voice echoing.

"Mom!" She heard before she even saw them, and once she did the boy was flying into her arms and she held him tightly. Taking a moment to just hold him. Emori stood up and looked to see Madi show up shortly after. Murphy now joining them as well.

"It's about damn time. What's the plan?" Murphy asked as Echo shifted Griffin in her arms so that she was holding him on her side, his legs straddling her waist as he sat above her hip.

"The plan is, we gather Wonkru.." She glanced to the side at Madi, "Then we go and take that Valley once and for all."

They loaded all the guns and ammo they could into the rover. Echo also placed Griffin in the back and was as firm as she could be with him, explaining that he needed to stay as low as possible when they moved, and he needed to do everything she told him to. Griffin nodded and sat crisscrossed on the floor as they finished loading up.

That's when they heard gunfire in the distance. Echo looked to the others in question. "Are there still people in the gorge?"

Murphy could only shrug, while Emori tried for some hope. "It's been off and on for awhile. I'm assuming they're taking out any remaining soldiers."

Echo thought a moment before deciding they would go and rescue who they could before rendezvousing with the rest of Wonkru on the outskirts of the wasteland with Monty and Harper. All were in agreement and they all buckled in before Madi shoved her foot on the gas and they sped off to the gorge.

As they came upon it, they noticed a few figures huddled behind a rock, while another was on their knees out in the open. A spotlight illuminating them as they held their arms out wide, ready to meet their fate. As they got closer they could see it was Octavia.

They needed cover fire so Echo was quick to reach for the gun they had attached to the hood of the rover and started firing at the pillboxes.

The rover came to a stop and she yelled at Octavia to get into the rover. Emori popped up out of the top and shot off a few of her own rounds to give them extra coverage. Octavia could only watch in surprise a moment before her feet started to move and she was running back to those who were behind the rock.

Murphy kicked open the back door and hopped out holding the sonic cannon. "Somebody call for a rescue?" He then began to fire up the cannon but something in it began to short circuit. It seemed Emori hadn't fully fixed it.

Octavia and who they could now see was Bellamy and Indra were running to the rover, carrying an injured Gaia with them to the back to climb in. Murphy threw the cannon before it could explode and once everyone was inside Madi turned the wheel and took off as fast as she could, the smoke from the cannon's explosion giving them enough cover to get away.

All was quiet before they heard "Daddy!" and Griffin had flung himself from his spot into Bellamy's arms. Bellamy was shocked at first, wondering why and how he was even here with them during such a dangerous moment. But it was short-lived at just seeing him again after so many days, and all he could do was wrap his arms around his son and hold him close. Tears pricking at his eyes as the emotions took over and he knew that he was safe. They were all safe and back together. Bellamy placed a kiss to the boy's head before looking to Echo in the front seat who was watching with watery eyes of her own, glad to know that they were able to save him. Bellamy reached out his hand to hers and she took it, holding onto each other for the remainder of the ride.

Murphy let out a shout of victory, a smile on his face after what they had achieved. But they knew the biggest fight was yet to come, and they would do everything they could to win.
