"The tears. They've been a mystery for a long time since Auradon was first created, one minute the villains that have been dead return back with no powers with the chance of rehabilitation. Then out of nowhere, they suddenly get lucky and have kids who are ten times worse than they are. Many people questioned the other parent's whereabouts after Mal and the others had arrived, and those answers came in the form of people wearing costumes and being the reason why we're considered nuts. Now I didn't know if anyone found these tears since Ben and Yen Sid traveled across the kingdom to patch them up after we had another family reunion. What I didn't expect was someone falling in and getting powers with the hope of being the next big bad! Still, I'm glad it's not my fault this time. Maybe this one is if I didn't keep a better eye on Knave and didn't let him do his transformation bit. Oh well, live as you learn. If the next few seconds don't involve myself and everyone else becoming dust in the wind."

Unknown Location

Just as the watch had activated and brought the six together. They suddenly vanished from the ceremony and held onto each other due to the force they were feeling during the pocket watch's power. The only one that could hold on was Kane as he let go to suddenly disappeared into thin air the five soon arrived back in Auradon's courtyard and dropped onto the floor. Confused and not knowing what had just happened, Chloe stood up to take a second to figure out what had just happened.

"What happened? Where's my mom? Where did everyone go?"

She asked in a frightened manner since they were around numerous people one second to appear back in the courtyard with no one in sight. Red was able to stand on her feet to not notice Kane with them during the transition but to see Carmine on the ground appearing dizzy and unable to fix his eyes.

"What a ride. I don't want to do it again."

Telling her about how the trip felt terrible for him as Red helped him up and heard groaning from the others who tagged along on the trip. Before she could help Gamma and Trick up, she heard someone muttering from the background it was a girl around their age waving a wand around at a book she was reading.

"Bibbidi. Bobbidi, boo?"

She cast a spell on the book which launched it right out of her hands and flew directly at Chloe's feet. Panicking at how the spell backfired, she grabbed the book and handed it back to the student as Chloe felt a strange notion of seeing her before.

"Fairy Godmother?"

Chloe called out her name which made the girl confused by the title it caught Red and Carmine's attention as it seemed to look just like Auradon Prep's former principal. Before she could respond to the new girl's statement, her book continued to move about the ground as she rushed off to get her book before it went off to cause any accidents. With that happening, Chloe was still trying to piece together what had happened as well as noticing that the decoration around them had changed.

"How was that Fairy Godmother? I don't understand what's happening."

"Then allow me to answer your question princess."

Trickster responded to Chloe's confusion as she and the couple looked over to the VK where they saw him having a drastic change in clothes. Wearing a baseball cap backward and a jacket with stickers on his sleeves with the addition of receiving sneakers. The three looked confused at his sudden makeover while not understanding what he was getting at with how he responded to Chloe's question of where they were at.

"We traveled back in time!"

The Oogie announced as he was excited at this incredible moment since he'd never done it before unlike Gamma who was considered the first-time traveler to appear in Auradon. Chloe was in disbelief by the notion since there was no such thing as time traveling due to it being impossible to master whether is done by a wizard or the gods from Mount Olympus. Looking over to see Red holding the pocket watch, she nodded to Trick about what he said was true.

"He's right. My mentor made this in Wonderland and told me that it could take me to where my heart desired. What I desired was to go back a couple of minutes into the past to see my brother and take away the cards that he gave my mother."

Red explained that during the life-shattering moment that transpired in front of her. Hearing another groan coming from behind the group, Trick walked over to help Gamma out as the Oogie was surprised how he was given the same treatment as he did when they arrived in this period. Gamma was given his own change of clothing which involved a set of jeans and a long-sleeved shirt to keep his metal arm a secret so no one looked at it. In addition, his hair flowed like a prince's whenever it was caught in the wind.

"I'm going need to take a look at that pocket watch, Princess Red."

Gamma ordered her as he approached to take the trinket from her to try and study how the device was able to send them here. Before he had the chance to grab it, Red acted on instinct and took Chloe's sword from her hilt and aimed it at his face.

"This is my watch. Not yours, and I don't take orders from anyone. Especially from my family that was about to overthrow the school and Auradon itself."

She threatened him with not allowing a cyborg to mettle with something that had seemed to work for her and no one else. Gamma merely groaned at the annoyance that she was presenting to him as well as how this wasn't the time to argue since there was too much at stake. Appearing between the two was Carmine as the cat was keeping them at bay before starting a fight that would attract attention.

"Maybe we should handle this with cool heads. We're having much tension with what happened, we should maybe handle our predicament by being here. Which is, Merlin Academy?"

Carmine defused the situation between the soon-to-be vice principal of Auradon and reading one of the plaques which were titled 'Merlin Academy'. Trickster was about to bring up how he knew the old wizard since he was Mal's mentor from time to time when it came to balancing her dark and Asgardian magic but was beaten by Chloe who pointed out the name.

"This is Auradon Prep before it was called Auradon Prep. This was when the kingdom wasn't even given a name, meaning that our parents are here."

She deciphered that if they were in the past, it meant that Red's mom was here as well. Taking a moment to look at the pocket watch and trying to understand the meaning of being sent here, Red's expression changed as she realized this was what her heart truly wanted.

"The pocket watch gave me what my heart wanted. It sent me here so I can stop my mom from becoming the queen she is in the future, meaning I can stop the coup from happening."

Red figured out why it reacted to her desire to that of wanting her life to change. With the realization of what Red's mission was, she was about to embark on this path of changing her mother. Gamma stretched out his hand stopping the princess from going off on her own as it made her aim the sword directly toward his neck. Chloe walked over and took back her sword from Red since she wouldn't let it be used to hurt something who risked their life in protecting the other families.

"Before we start arguing and tearing each other apart. All I want to know is how do we get home."

The princess questioned the pair since she wanted to go back home and save her mother as well as everyone who was still in danger from the Queen of Hearts and her soldiers. This sparked an argument among the four about whether they should stay here or return to the present and continue the fight. The only one who wasn't responding to it was Trickster as he could see he was the only one mature in the middle as he decided to end the argument by making a frightening face that made all four of them stop in their conversation.

"While everyone is questioning what happened to Red's power-hungry monster, whether to return to the present and fight her mom or even ruin the timeline in the hopes of making the Queen of Hearts nice. Can we stop for one second to talk to the one person who knows about time travel? Ergo, my best friend. Gamma."

The Oogie asked them who was fortunate to have the VK cyborg with them since he knew how to approach the matter along the lines of if there was a way to help Red's mom out, it was him. Surprised by how he was being the voice of reason and calming himself due to how aggressive he was acting toward Red and Carmine, it was right that he'd explain time travel to them in an understanding tone of voice.

"It's been a while since I've done time travel. More importantly, my version was used with advanced technology, the pocket watch itself works on a whole different level. Most likely how your brother used the intelligence that he received after learning about his father."

Gamma explained as he used his cybernetic eye to scan the watch to see that it was beyond that of the magic in Auradon and the technology that appeared more advanced than anything that was shown in the present. With that being said, Red took a look at it and could see how it wasn't working at the moment as it was either out of power or it could be used again once she had helped her mother to a good person.

"So. You want to help your mother in changing?"

Chloe asked Red in disbelief that while she may have seemed crude and didn't want to be around anyone who seemed similar to her. Red wasn't like her family and seemed to have wanted out of harming people and ruling over them with fear and power.

"If you haven't just seen it, I'm not all for ruling over a bunch of people I don't know. And I know I'm not like Knave who suddenly tells me that our dad is from another world."

She responded to Chloe about how she didn't share the interest of going into the family business and attempting to change her mother's fate to avoid her becoming the villain she knew in the future. With that being said and feeling like they were too exposed out in the open, Gamma suggested that they find somewhere that would be easy for them to continue their conversation. Making their way out of the courtyard and to the front of the school, they saw numerous students coming in and noticed the five's peculiar clothing since it didn't look like theirs.

"This might not be so bad. I never got the chance to hang around normal people back in Wonderland."

Carmine responded that no one was frightened by him or how he had fur and a tail. They greeted him with open arms and waved to him as if he were a new student, Red smiled that while she wasn't focused on making any friends at the moment. It was nice to see her boyfriend enjoying being out in the open and not hiding in the shadows watching everyone enjoying their lives.

"For real? Despite being able to travel back from Wonderland to Auradon I thought you'd have your own band of animal friends. Now that would be more exciting than time travel."

Trickster spoke out about his power of teleporting from one place to another which surprised Carmine how he bluntly said it and had Red hear it from him. The Wonderland princess looked over at the Chesire boy with a questioning Carmine at what the Oogie meant by that, especially how anything was possible since they were literally in the past. With that being said, Red dragged him by the ear and dragged him behind several bushes where no one would see them talking about this sudden revelation of Carmine's powers.

"You traveled to Auradon. As in you have been able to teleport from Wonderland and Auradon without my mother knowing, and you didn't even tell me about it?!"

She yelled out at him in anger at how after the time they'd been a couple and doing things to mess with the Queen of Hearts. Carmine had an ability that allowed him to travel without any notice to somewhere that was free of their reign and could have avoided taking the pocket watch if she had known about this. Looking over at Trickster to see if he was telling the truth, the VK didn't know how to respond about it since he thought that the cat had already told her about his abilities. While seeing how Red was about to lose it after learning about this, Gamma decided to do a full scan of Carmine to see if what Trick said was true since the expression on the feline's face showed that he was able to do it but required a better explanation.

"His DNA is different, half Wonderland cat and human. But it shows that it has been altered with magic, dark magic. And not from Auradon."

The cyborg VK listed what might have been the reason for this power as he looked at Trickster who was an expert on the matter everyone wanted to know what this meant for Carmine since the Oogie was the first to meet him after his battle with Prankster.

"I mean I don't know how long he's been at it. That being said, I think it's possible that Carmine's mom or dad. Might have been a supervillain from the other Earth. This explains Knave's realization of who his dad is and unlocking his powers, but the question is do you know who it is?"

He explained how Carmine might be a VK like himself and the others except for Chloe who saw the sad look on the feline's face since he didn't want her to learn about this. Deciding to allow him to explain his side of the story, everyone remained silent since it felt personal to him because the feline himself didn't want to know about his other side.

"It was just after me and Red became a couple. I was excited that while she was the Princess of Wonderland, I had a friend who didn't think I was just another animal. That night, I saw a light emerging from the water. It looked like something torn through the air, I didn't know what came over me but I touched it. Suddenly, I saw my mother meeting someone. A man in a red cloak."

Carmine told his story remembering it as if it happened yesterday. One minute he was celebrating having a girl who had taken an interest in him, then out of nowhere he learns about how his mother met a human who had an enchanted hood that allowed him to travel anywhere while wearing the cloak. It was during that moment when he learned about them becoming intimidating and her giving birth to him, that Carmine's hidden abilities started to awaken which left him suddenly teleporting to Auradon.

"After I met Trick and returned to Wonderland. Something changed in me like an inner beast woke up and wanted to roam the forest. I was lucky enough to not be around anyone but trees, I still remember I how cut them down as if they were nothing."

He added another part of what had happened when he met Trickster and learned how to return him, there was a price to the ability such as letting out a creature that was sealed within him to harm anyone in his sight. While it was wrong for Carmine to not tell her about the condition that came with this power, Red felt sorry he had to keep it secret to avoid harming her if she wanted him to teleport them to Auradon.

"Maybe Merlin can help us figure this out. We're already planning on helping Red's mom stay good, we could help out Carmine's situation."

Chloe suggested that if they were going to mess around in the past in an attempt to save the future. They could help Carmine in curing this 'demonic' side of his and master his power of traveling across the kingdom. With that idea brought up and looking over to Gamma if it wouldn't cause any damage to the timeline, he was unsure about what could happen since this means of time travel was impossible to understand more or less figure out in their current situation.

"What he should do is change his look since he stands out too much with the red. You'll have to revert to your original colors."

Red informed Carmine that it be best he'd revert to his original colors to avoid anyone questioning if they were a couple. Understanding why she suggested it and wanting to stay focused on helping her mother out, the Chesire boy focused on himself as he was able to revert the red around his clothing and his cape to light purple with white stripes that appeared similar to his mother's look.

"Not a bad look kitty cat. But with the future vice principal hanging out with us, you might want to take it easy with your powers. I'm sure I'm already I'm in that position as well."

Trickster complimented Carmine's look since it had been a while since he had shown his true look since he changed his clothes to Red to show he was aligned with the Princess of Wonderland. While he accepted the compliment from Trickster, the moment was interrupted when he felt his tail being stepped on which caused the feline to his loudly and jump out of the bushes due to how sensitive his foot was.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't know there was anyone in the bushes."

The person apologized for stepping on Carmine's tail as the others came out to see who had cost them their secrecy. I was a girl wearing nothing but pink and had a smile on her face that showed an open personality of wanting to make friends around her. What made the meeting feel strange was how Red felt an unnusual connection with the girl which was odd since wouldn't want to hang around someone with this much positivity.

"It's alright. My friend here has had his tail stepped on multiple times back home."

Red informed the girl and accepted the apology for her boyfriend as she continued to have strange feelings as if she knew the girl. With that being handled, the student thought the feline needed something in return for what she'd done to Carmine as she gave the feline a pink cupcake with what appeared to be a feather on top of it.

"My name's Bridget, and I hope that stepping your tail won't affect us in being friends. If that's alright with you."

The girl introduced herself and offered the snack to show how she desired to be Carmine's friend. Just as they heard her name, Red's heart dropped as this couldn't be her mother back in the future. The sweet smile and subtle composure of offering sweets were something that she'd never expected in her entire life. Taking the cupcake and thanking Bridget for the snack, Carmine's hood changed its color from light purple to pink.

"Makeover cupcakes. Nice."

Chloe remarked on the cupcake's mystical properties as they heard the school bells going off which informed Bridget that she was going to be late for class. Seeing they had already been exposed, the best thing to do was to blend in without trying to pay that much attention to them. The only ones that stayed back were Trick and Gamma as the Oogie could tell there was something that his friend wanted to inform him about.

"While I'm still unsure of this 'other parent' situation. We're in unknown waters, not even I know how this can turn out. So, let's make one thing clear. Don't, screw, with anyone or anything during our time here."

He instructed Trickster that this would be a playground for a VK like himself to cause trouble along with altering the timeline for his benefit. The Oogie looked offended by his gesture thinking he'd make trouble since it would jeopardize his marriage to his wives back home and his childhood.

"How about we do something else, right? If we see something that's either messed up or makes us spill about you know what. Then whoever gets the nerve to say something about the future or see someone we know, we give one another twenty bucks. Deal?"

Trickster offered a bet to keep him from saying anything that could change anything in the present. The cyborg said nothing as he made his way to join the others to see where they were heading off to. While that was happening, Trick felt bad about how he exposed Carmine's secret since he should have been the one to say it. Along that, there might be a way to learn about how VK's parents had met their others since he didn't see anyone with costumes walking about Merlin Academy. All he had to do was wait for Red to help out her mother and save the present when that happened. He'll take the pocket watch and see how exactly their worlds came together to make the children in the first place, but all he wanted to do at the moment was enjoy being a teenager again and relish in the moment.
