Night came, and they went over the plan one last time. The only issue was getting Grape close enough to the castle to shut down the barrier without getting seen. She said she had it under control.
Going under the castle was a good call, as the guards will be unable to find them. Olly picked up a rock and tossed it upwards. It hit the barrier and came flying back.
Attila, which wore a knight's uniform with a sword at his side, had come with Grape. "A deflector shield. These are rare, incredibly rare. Supposedly, they're hard to make properly. This king must have some pretty incredible technicians."
Magic and Magica snickered awkwardly. They'd helped build it.
"Are you fully confident that this will work?" Grape asked Olly. "I don't completely believe it myself that I'm the only one who can take this down."
"This'll go great," Olly said, confidence in his voice.
Another Sour Bunch member, named Robbie, was smaller than most and was called a "dancer" by Grape. He was apparently the leader of the dancers, and had also come with Grape. He wore a top hat, which Olly thought was very adorable.
"Alright, let's see if you're right..."
Grape reached up carefully until her hand came into contact with the shield. It flickered purple, then black, then shattered. The pieces of it fluttered to the ground, vanishing on contact with anything.
She pulled her hand away. "Huh..."
She brought out a small puppet, which increased in size in her hand. It bore the style of a ninja, the outfit completely black. The only color on him was the purple fires in his eyes. Nearly invisible puppet strings were attached to his arms and legs.
"Alright, take out the guards for us."
She tossed him up to the castle, and he used his weapons to grab to the flooring and moved across it until he got to a wall, which he ran up the length of.
"Now we wait for his return."
He came back a few seconds later, Grape seeming a bit surprised. He landed in front of her with a bow.
"Back so soon?"
Scissors landed behind him, in the form he had in Izuku's world. He sheathed his blades and bowed as well.
"My king, I've come at last. Apologies for taking so long."
Olly came a bit closer to Grape. "Scissors? Where've you been? I thought you and the Legion were guarding the Rift."
"We were, at first. But his weaponized castle took us all down with one shot. Sadly, we were forced to flee. We had to heal our wounds before returning. I decided to try to take down the guards myself, but couldn't get past the shield. When I saw it go down, I took the chance and handled the guards. I saw another ninja up there..."
He finally saw Grape, and Olly saw his eyes widen. He moved his foot away from the Dark Ninja, then turned back to his scissors form.
"May I ask who she is? And there's that ninja I saw..."
"My name is Madame Grape, and you just did my Dark Ninja's job." She forcefully shrank him again, and he vanished from her grasp. "But since you're obviously here to help, you can go with them." She turned to face Robbie and Attila. "Alright, you two. The guards are gone, so I want you to fly Attila up there." She handed Attila a folded uniform. "Change before entering."
"Of course, Madame Grape." He took the uniform and grabbed on to Robbie's hand.
Robbie strained to fly higher at first, but made it to the castle, where they vanished. Grape pulled out a walkie talkie and turned it on.
"Attila? Come in. Can you hear me?"
There was static for a minute before he answered. "Coming in loud and clear, Madame Grape!"
"Alright, let us know when we can enter."
"Of course, Madame Grape."
She turned it off. "Now, we wait."
Olly didn't trust how calm she was. After all, last time she turned against them; and nobody said she wouldn't do it again. Something about her personality didn't sit right with Olly. It didn't feel like her actual personality. He didn't want to assume she wore masks like Dimentio did, but they were related-not like that was a valid reason for him to assume that.
The walkie talkie beeped, and Attila spoke again. "Alright, you can come in. The secret entrance is in the moat, towards the highest outpost. There's a small red mark on the stone that accesses it. Push it in and you should be able to get through."
"Thank you, Attila." She turned it off and shoved it into her hat. "You heard him. I'll portal us up there."
She opened a portal and shoved Dimentio through first. She giggled a bit when she did, then offered Olly go next.
"Why not you?" Olly asked.
"My portal, my rules. I will enter last to ensure you all get through safely."
She came through last, just as she said, then led them to the place Attila was talking about.
"A small red mark on one of these stones..."
"Excuse me," Dimentio said, shoving his way past Grape. "If I were to make a secret passage, which I have before, I would put the mark on the near bottom side of the rock." He went to his hands and knees, then rested on his side. He moved his finger down the rocks before stopping. "And that puts our little rock right here."
He pushed it in, and the wall shifted to reveal a round doorway. They entered, Grape having to remove her hat to fit. Dimentio ducked back into the hall a bit as a guard walked past, then rushed across the hall and signaled for the rest of them to follow. Grape smacked at him because he was taking her self-given job of leader. He smacked at her back, and it only ended when she used her hat to hit him. He rubbed his head where she hit him with the brim of her hat.
She peeked down the corner, then moved along. They started following her before she stopped them.
"You were going to rid the king, remember? Head to his room and finish the job. I'm going to the treasury. Don't wait for me." She flew off.
Olly looked at the map again. "Okay, let's go. His room isn't marked, but if we head to the throne room then it should be an easy find from there."
"Wait, where's Cackletta?" Dimentio asked. "Didn't you ask her and some ghost woman to help back in the other world?"
"I..." He closed the map. "I actually don't know. I thought they came with us. They must be in the decoy castle still. I hope they aren't causing trouble..."
Peter started off. "We can't waste any time. Let's end this."
