Desperate Measures

Chapter Eight

After Morrison had walked out of the motel office to head for his room on the second floor. What he didn't know was the fact that a resident outside living on the first floor had been watching the recent news reports regarding the serial killer.

Doctor Malcolm Walker taking a few days of rest from the Manhattan Medical Center. He had noticed the photos that had been shown on the TV screens. But he wasn't sure at this point about the man in the office having to be the serial killer.

Moving out of the office to walk on over to his room and taking out his cell phone to call the local number to let the officials know. Sitting down on the edge of his double bed with a table next to it with a pitcher of cold water with ice that he had asked management in the office.

After connecting to the number. They had asked on whether or not he was sure of the man at the motel after giving his name even though you didn't have to. The voice on the phone had said to him that they would contact the police and have them send a team to investigate the call.

Afterward, he will lie down for a few hours after doing his civil duty with the phone call.

Meanwhile, Richard Castle once again has to be in his office finishing up his phone call with his ex-wife Gina going over the last of the details for his book tours up and coming. Once the call had ended with a respected goodbye between the both of them.

Just when he was getting up from his seat. His cell phone went off like crazy with his usual ringtone. All of a sudden Castle had a chill go down his spine thinking right that it might be again the serial killer.

He took a deep breath into his lungs. "What do you want Morrison?" he screamed out inside of his empty office and loft.

"I am just lonely to speak to my favorite author, Mr. Castle. I think by now you're wondering whether I will be killing again sometime soon?" he asked the harsh question regarding murdering another human being.

"God damn it, Morrison! When are you going to ever finish with your killing spree?" he wanted no more of this man. But since he was recording the conversation. He needed to find out more about his location.

But instead he started a conversation in regard to his favorite books that he has read over the years. This will certainly kill time for the telephone company to have a location for the phone call.

Anthony Morrison was exhausted as he finished talking to Richard Castle for ten minutes for the first time. Ending the call. Castle called the 12th precinct with Captain Alverez and Sergeant Anderson to call for the location of the phone call.

12th precinct.

"I can't believe this William! The address is located in the Bronx at a small motel." Captain Alverez was able to write down the address given by the phone company.

This is when Captain Alverez needed to call Beckett driving home finally having to be late. Thank goodness the three kids were away at a camp for a few weeks.

"This is Beckett. What is it Captain Alverez?" she asked with stopping on the side of the road to talk to him.

"Sir, we finally have the address and motel for where the serial killer Anthony Morrison is staying. Castle had called us with the information since he was heading out to the address to go after him." He responded to have Captain Beckett pissed off needing to get to the Bronx quickly.

"Get a team together along with contacting the Bronx precinct the 123rd and let them know the situation." She tells him over the phone and ending it quickly with the light now green once again.

"Yes, sir!" Captain Alverez had to say turning to face the nighttime team getting to work. Sergeant William Anderson quickly texted his wife Alexis at home with their three-year-old daughter, Andrea He was able to make her understand the story with Castle having gone after the serial killer.

TEXT MESSAGE FROM ALEXIS

"Just be sure you're able to find my father alive, Will!" she said with not sending anything else.

"UNDERSTOOD!" William tells her before heading towards the front of the office for a quick meeting with the night-time detectives working on the special case.

Anthony Morrison had known that the police would be coming after him again while watching the news reports. Plus putting two plus two together with the residents of the motel would find out just who he is for the most part. Another factor is the fact that his favorite author Richard Castle would be able to figure it out after talking to him the last time.

Officers from the Bronx precinct sent three to the motel. They were told to wait for the 12th precinct officers since they had been on the case from the very start.

Lt. James Mallory, Sergeant Alvin Sanchez, and Patrol Officer Maria Jackson waited outside of the motel for those from the 12th precinct. They were carrying photos of the serial killer when they began the search for him both outside and inside of the motel.

"They said to wait for them, but why can't we start to look for this man?" Patrol Officer Maria Jackson will say anxiously.

It will be Lt. Mallory to tell her otherwise as to why. "We were ordered to wait for those from the 12th precinct and that's exactly what we plan on doing in the first place." the tension between them was lessening slightly as Maria tried to relax with going back to the squad car for now.

Sergeant Sanchez will say to the Leautant about the woman. "She needs more training on the job or else she is going to get herself killed in the first place," he remarked with his comment.

"I agree with you, Sergeant Sanchez. This is no doubt her first assignment in the field," he responded with a slight cough looking around for this man they are supposed to be looking for.
