Everyone gathered around happy and exhausted. The crew and a few brave spectators stood in stunned silence.
"I can't believe we did that." Tsubaki commented.
"That was awesome." Black Star exclaimed, jumping.
My head started pounding. The world started spinning again.
'Come on.' I thought to myself.
While the kids celebrated and the others chatted I staggered over and placed my head on Hatoris shoulder. He turned.
"You ok?"
I shook my head. He looked concerned.
"You don't look too good. I think your fever is returning again."
He waved Victor over for some healing magic. Dragedge made his way over as well.
"You feeling ok? You don't look too good." He inquired.
"Not really."I responded.
The kids came over to see what was happening.
"Your powers are pretty cool. I can't wait for our match." Soul commented.
"Thanks?" I questioned.
There was a thud as maka hit him with a book.
"Ow." He wheezed.
Everyone laughed.
"I am going to lay down." I laughed wearily.
"Good idea." Dragedge and Tsubaki responded in unison.
"We can take care of things here." kid added.
I nodded in acknowledgement, before walking off.
"Do you want me to help you?" Hatori asked, gently grabbing my arm pulling me closer one last time.
I hesitated.
"If you want to, but I should be fine."
"You start, I will meet you there." he started.
"I want to make sure you don't get hurt. I do love you." He whispered, in my ear.
I froze for a second. Hatori chuckled. I started to make my way down the stairs. I stumbled on the last few steps barely able to catch myself. I noticed some familiar figures coming my way.
"Look I don't have the patience, energy, or strength to deal with you three. So please leave me alone." I sneered, leaning against the wall.
"See, I can't do that. I am the oldest child of one of the most influential families in five different countries, mostly Spain. My family's power is growing by the day not that a nobody like you would understand but I get what. No one says no to me. So for saving the ship and being nice I will give you one last chance." He fumed, stepping in front of me.
I weakly laughed.
"I do know a thing or two about powerful families, unlike you I don't use my family's power like that and prefer to keep it kind of hidden actually. As for the date let me spell it out for you N.O no. it's not going to happen. Now get out of my way." I started to get annoyed at this point and my vision started to blur.
'Why now.' I thought to myself.
He smirked looking me up and down.
"You are alone and don't look like you can fight very well. I normally don't fight someone in your condition but I will make an exception in your case." He motioned for the two behind him.
"Are you nuts?! Fighting here could destroy parts of the ship and injure innocent people." I snapped.
"I dont care." He responded, running at me.
Having no choice, I readied myself. Reading his moves was more tricky than it was earlier being sick and close to losing control again. I was able to block a few punches before being hit in the shoulder and noticing more water than there should be.
'Why am I covered in water?' I thought to myself.
Noticing my confusion, Camble stopped for a second.
"I will let you in on a little secret that the girls have elemental abilities. One is water, what do you think the other is? I will give you a hint, it hit the deck earlier." He had a gleam in his eyes.
My eyes widened.
"It's lightning."
"Correct."
I don't know how I didn't see the attack coming.
"Urgh.'' I whimpered feeling the hit connect pain shooting in my ribs. I didn't have a chance to react before I felt the surge of electricity flow through my body. I went flying back towards the stairs hitting the floor.
"Ahhh." I screamed in excruciating pain, feeling small shocks of electricity and madness throughout my body. I could barely breathe, or stay conscious.
("I think someone is hurt below deck. I heard screaming and fighting." A passenger said to the captain.
Hatoris heart sank as he heard the scream and overheard the scream. His hands balled into a fist, he walked over to the passenger.
"Excuse me ma'am where did you hear the fighting exactly?" He inquired, trying to remain calm.
"Over by the stairs. You want to hurry, I think she may be hurt pretty bad." The passenger responded.
He turned nearly cracking the deck. Dragedge took notice.
"Hatori everything ok?" He questioned.
"Did you not hear the scream?"
"Faintly but not sure what it was."
"I think the idiot is actually trying to kill her. that scream I think it was Grim." Hatori hissed, taking off towards the stairs.
"Victor lets go. I think they may need some help. I want to make sure Hatori doesn't kill the guy." Dragedge insisted.
"At this point why not let him, but ok." Victor sighed, putting out his pipe following Dragedge.
"What's going on?" Questioned Liz.
"I am not sure, but it might not be good. Stay here." Victor instructed before walking away.
"What is that all about?" Black Star started.
"Not sure, maybe we should follow them?"Maka suggests.
Everyone nods. Hatori and the others made their way to the stairs. seeing Grim writhing in pain Hatori sees red. He releases an arrow before Camble could make a move.)
He got a few more shots of lightning off before I saw an arrow appear. I let out a sigh of relief.
"Grim!" I could hear him say.
Hatori looked like he wanted to murder him, not that I blame him. I tried to turn my head towards him, it hurt like hell.
"it's not worth it but be careful." I was able to let out.
He gave me a smile and a kiss on the forehead. Victor and Dragedge made their way over as Hatori stood up.
"Oh Grim, you like getting yourself into these situations don't you?" Victor joked.
I chuckled, "Apparently."
He gave me a concerned look. I noticed Dragedge and the kids, before letting the pain wash over me and passing out.
(Hatori had one more look back, noticing the kids before turning back to his target. Black Star and Kid were about to join in when Dragedge stopped them.
"Let him fight alone. He is already upset and is more than capable. Trust me." He instructed.
"But…." Kid started.
"Why does he get to have all the fun?" Black Star complained.
"Grim is hurt, he is upset. If you try to join the fight you will only be getting in his way. Also you will get hurt." Dragedge responded.
They fell silent.
"Oh look who it is. Can't fight alone so you brought children as back up?" Insulated Camble.
Hatori remained deadpan as he walked closer.
"They are not going to be part of this fight, it's just the two of us. I told you to leave her alone." He hissed.
"So what she started. Nobody says not to me. It's easy," Laughed Camble, making a beeline towards Hatori.
Hatori, seeing red, did not respond, biting his lip so hard he started bleeding.
'Forgive me.' He whispered, as he got into a martial arts stance. He was able to stop the oncoming attack with ease leaving Camble stunned, tossing him through the wall into the next room. The kids eyes widened.
"I thought his thing was long distance?" Wondered Soul.
"It is yes, but there is a reason Hatori is always so calm and uses his bow. He knows three styles of martial arts and three styles of boxing. He even managed to find a way to combine different styles. Grim is good at fighting because of him. Being built like a brick wall being pretty much solid muscle helps as well. Piece of advice don't make him mad. He can break a wall or solid stone if mad enough, it's terrifying." Dragedge warned.
"No wonder no one makes him angry. He is perfect for her." Kid commented.
Camble was in a daze.
"How did he do that?" Korin wondered.
"I have no idea." Lianna responded.
"I am slightly impressed. I didn't think you were that strong." Mocked Camble as he got up off the floor.
"I am holding back. Don't make me go all out." Stormed Hatori.
"Haha. I feel like you are lying to me." Camble sprinted towards him.
Hatori sighed.
"Why wont you get it through your head, to leave her alone."
He open palm stopped the attack head butted Camble sending him to the floor. Camble in a daze stood up trying to remain steady and attacked again. Hatori kicked him this time, making an audible cracking sound, sending him flying across the ship. Hatori turned to face the others. Camble laid in pain for a few seconds before trying to get up.
"Are you ok?" Lianna questioned.
"I think he broke my rib." Wheezed Camble.
"Are you able to continue?" Korin wondered.
"Absolutely." He smiled, holding his side.
He started walking back when he heard a growling sound behind him. Turning to see a large black and red wolf.
"WHAT IS THAT!" He screamed.
Noire howled. Hatori turned his head.
"Noire go to Grim." He ordered.
Eyeing Camble noire obeyed.
"We have to beat him." Camble mumbled.
"Time for a smackdown." Lianna and Korin agreed in unison.
Hatori had his back turned for no more than a second giving Camble enough time to charge another electric attack, hitting everyone, even some of the other passengers felt the shock. Hatori let out what sounded like a growl.
"Ow that hurt." Black Star said.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Is Grim ok?" Tsubaki asked.
"For now. Her breathing is shallow, I'm sure she has a cracked rib and her fever is coming back. I think she should take it easy the rest of the mission." Victor responded.
Hatori turned around.
"You are going to regret that."
"We may have to find a way to stop Hatori." Dragedge added.
"Why?" Soul asked.
"Yeah this is getting good." Black Star commented.
"He might actually kill him. If he gets mad enough he might lose control and go on a rampage. We don't want that." Dragedge warned.
"That's fair." Tsubaki added.
Camble ran towards Hatori. He turned around grabbing one of the gauntlets throwing it to the side, she landed on the floor with a thud. He grabbed Cambles' throat, nearly crushing it, grabbing the other gauntlet with his free hand; he ripped it from his hand, throwing it to the floor. They don't have a chance to move before he pushes Camble against the wall, leaning within inches of his ear.
"I warned you to stay away." Hatori snarled, putting pressure on Cambles throat.
"Hatori, you need to calm down. Grim, well we all need you to calm down. It's not a good idea to continue the fight please." Kid pleaded.
Hatori paused before releasing his grip on Camble and walked away.
"You are going to listen to a child?" He quipped through coughs, holding his throat.
"Yes. I am." He responded kneeling next to Grim.
"She needs rest." Victor advised.
"Understood." He acknowledged gently picking Grim up.
"You did what you could. You can't protect her 24/7, and she can take care of herself." Dragedge reminded him.
"I know." He mouthed, unable to speak at this point.
"Why don't we get you both back to the room, you both need rest." Tsubaki suggested.
Hatori nodded. Camble and his lackeys moved out of the way as the group passed. I warned you, Dragedge mouthed. They got Grim settled, Hatori laid down not too far away.)
