Deleted Scene 2: What A Thrill…

[Takes Place in Chapter 6]

As Percy gave us the tour around Camp Half-Blood, I asked Sam how she was doing. After what happened with her father, I'm surprised she's still up and optimistic. I mean, just a couple of days ago, she found out her mom's not a normal person but an actual goddess. Next thing you knew, her dad died and monsters attacked her.

"I'm… managing. I mean, my dad's a cop. I dread everyday for the moment he doesn't come back. At least now, I was able to rest, knowing he's in a better place."

I can see the sadness in her eyes. But then raises her head up with her eyes sparking with new determination.

"For now, I have to keep going and live for my dad's sake."

I was shocked with how quickly Sam can recover after a traumatic event.

"What happened to you after I was knocked out?" I asked.

Percy replied and answered for her. Apparently, she took the whole 'Demigod' thing pretty well. In fact, she took it too well… I figured she would.

I have known Sam for a long time. So when an opportunity to be a hero with otherworldly powers comes up, she'd take it without a second thought.

I mean… she's an otaku.

Like Hal Emmerich, you know, the scientist dude who made that giant robot in that game, Metal Ge- wait…

"Hey, Percy?" I asked.

"Yeah?"

"So Camp Half-Blood, it's basically a training camp for Demigods, right?"

He nodded, "Yeah, but nothing too serious, just mostly camp activities mixed with combat training. That way the younger generations can interact and understand more of who their godly parents are. We got Archery, Chariot races and Rock Climbing-"

"Rock Climbing?" I said. "...Did Sam participate in that?"

Oh yeah… I know exactly how this went. This wasn't the first time she did this.

"Y-yeaah, she climbed that wall at ease! Nearly broke Annabeth's record."

Sam smirked and shrugged, "I just have a really good mental focus."

I know exactly how it went…

As some of the campers were struggling to move up the wall, Sam was passing them by at ease.

Percy and Chiron were at the ground, amazed at how quickly Sam is rising.

"Even after everything she went through, she's still managed to keep herself together in our activities," Chiron said.

"You're right about that. It took me a while to get back on my feet on my first day. I wonder what got her so focused?"

Chiron ponders, "She may be thinking about that night. Perhaps she's reliving that moment so that she never forgets."

Percy replied, "Probably… I know I did. Worked out in the end for me, but not all of us are lucky."

Sadly… that's not what's going on in her head. Don't get me wrong, She's still having nightmares involving that night afterwards. But I know Sam better than anyone.

She's been into Anime and videogames for as long as I can remember. And when an opportunity arrives to climb a really high place shows… well… This goes on in their head:

"Chiron and I were amazed at how quickly she climbed over that wall. For a first timer, she's pretty good."

Sam had the biggest grin and proceeded to do the finger gun gesture.

"Pretty… Good…"

Author's Note:

Okay… two reasons why I made this scene:

1. I'm rewriting my first Fanfictions that I ever wrote and it's a Metal Gear Solid Fanfiction. It was meant to be this epic multiversal crossover project involving the Percy Jackson universe but it got scrapped due to Trials of Apollo and its spoilers. I may reignite it as a prequel to this Spider-Man universe but for now it's it's own separate thing and just a sequel to MGS after the 4th game. I'm just... promoting my story, that's all.

2. …I've been watching a certain V-tuber become a brain-rotting, unhinged MGS fan and I'm enjoying the ride. It's like watching your young apprentice surpass you and become even bigger than you. Yeah… a Big Boss… (Sorry… not sorry)

I also have a question for you guys and need your opinion on something:

If I were to include these characters in this series, how and who should they be portrayed as? I already have somewhat of an idea for some of them but I want to hear what you guys think:
