Lilith's pov:
After the Family Day incident, the students have been giving us VKs the cold shoulder. my brothers joined us at lunch. Ben said that after the coronation things would be better but I doubt it. Doug came up to Evie and tried to talk to her but he got cut off by Chad. Evie tried to apologize to him but he just left her and joined the other hero kids. Evie felt so heartbroken that she pushed her lunch away. I saw Ruby coming over to our table, I wanted to apologize to her about my other form. But before I could get the chance to say anything, Terra came over and dragged Ruby away.
If it couldn't get worse, Audrey and Jane came up to us. "How long do they think that's gonna last? Mal is just the bad girl infatuation. It's also a matter of time before Lilith goes crazy again and is shipped back to the Isle." Audrey spoke rudely.
"Yeah. I mean, Ben's never gonna make a villain a queen. And Lilith is a disgrace to all of Asgard just like her monster of a father." Jane said to both of us.
I have had enough of those bratty princesses. What Mal gave to Jane, I can also take away. I opened up my spellbook and reversed Mal's spell on Jane's hair making it turn back to her ugly bobbed haircut. People started to back away from her and that was my victory. I watched as Mal pulled out her spell book and threatened that she would use it. That caused everyone to run away from us in a panic. "Let's grab that wand and blow this popsicle stand," Mal stated as we all walked away.
A few hours later, Evie dragged me into her dorm just to try on the dress she made for me for the coronation. I've told her before, I do not wear dresses, gowns, or anything girly but she didn't listen. She presented me with a green ball gown with black gloves and a silver snake belt and bracelet. "What do you think?" Evie asked.
I was speechless, sure I don't wear dresses or anything girly but for Evie, I think I'll make an exception. I just told her that it was fine but she insisted that I try it minute I stepped out of the changing room, Evie was gasping with delight. "Ok you've seen me in a dress, can I go now?" I asked impatiently.
"Not quite. Something is missing." Evie stated.
At that moment, my older brother Sleipnir came into the room and was starstruck to see me in a dress. He actually said that I looked just like our mother. I just wanted to know what he was doing and that was when he pulled out a smaller version of Dad's helmet. Sleipnir told me that it was Dad's idea, and figured it would help me fit in with the other royals. Even Evie approved the crown and placed it on my head. Sleipnir told me that we will be arriving at the coronation with the rest of the Asgardian Royal Family. Great, more bonding with them.
The coronation began, I was with my dad my brothers, and the rest of the Asgardian Family. It was so awkward being with them, but I still have my dad. We arrived at the place for the coronation, my brothers were up on the balcony with Jay, Carlos, and Evie. My dad and I were up front with the rest of the family, Belle, the Beast, Mal, and Fairy Godmother. Ben walked down the path then the crown was placed on his head. As the Fairy Godmother was about to bless him with it, someone grabbed the wand but blasted a beam out and hit the barrier.
"Child what are you doing?!" Fairy Godmother screamed.
It was Jane who took the wand, she claimed that she could make herself beautiful with the wand but she had no control. Mal ran up and wrestled the wand out of Jane's hand. I saw Evie and the others come running to Mal's side, this was not good. Ben tried to get Mal to hand the wand over but she just threatened him to stand back. Audrey wanted to point out that she was right but Mal stopped her. I watched as Jay looked at me "Let's go. Revenge time," he said.
"No. This is wrong. Mal, please. Don't do this." I spoke, trying to reason with her.
"We have no choice, Lily! Our parents..."
"Made their choice. You're not Maleficent, she can't control you from here."
Ben came to me, he stared at Mal to tell her that she could make her own choice. She then told us that she wanted to be good.
Ben: "You are good."
Mal: "How do you know that?!"
Ben: "Because... Because I'm listening to my heart."
Mal: "I want to listen to my heart, too."
Then Mal turned to the VKs.
Mal: "And my heart is telling me that we are not our parents. (Turns to Jay) I mean, stealing things doesn't make you happy. Tourney, victory pizza with the team, and being with Lilith make you happy. (Turns to Carlos) And you, scratching Dude's belly makes you happy. Who would've thought? (Turns to Evie) Evie, you do not have to play dumb to get a guy. You are so smart. (Turns to Lilith) And Lily, being with your real family, the magic and dancing and fighting for what you believe in, that makes you stronger than any of us. And I don't want to take over the world with evil. It doesn't make me happy. I want to go to school. And be with Ben. Because Ben makes me really happy. Us being friends makes me really happy. Not destroying things I choose good, you guys."
I watched as Jay and Evie both chose good as well, I saw my brothers joining in with them as well. Carlos seemed a little unsure "So, just to be clear, we don't have to be worried about how really mad our parents will be? Because they're gonna be really, really mad." he stated.
"They can't reach you here," Ben reassured.
Carlos joined for being good, I joined in as well, we are all friends. Suddenly green smoke came into the room followed by a cackling that sounded familiar. The smoke landed in front of everyone and when it cleared up, Maleficent was standing there with her scepter. "I'm back!" she shouted.
The whole room felt silent as everyone stared in horror. Mal tried to get her mother to go but she just laughed and asked Mal to hand the wand over to her. I took it from Mal and threw it to the Fairy Godmother. She was about to cast her spell but Maleficent slammed her scepter down and froze everyone except me, my friends, my brothers, and my dad.
She messed with the Beasts' glasses and then snatched the wand out of Fairy Godmother's hand. "Where to begin? I know, let's start by getting rid of these." She said as she used the wand to pull off Mal's ring from Ben and my necklace off my neck and placed them on the wand.
She started to mess with Ben's crown stating that love is weak and ridiculous. I saw my dad fire one of his spells at Maleficent but she stopped it. She marched up to my dad and used her scepter to grab him by the neck practically choking him. "I always knew you were weak." She stated then threw my dad across the room.
My brothers ran to help Dad but I stood my ground with Mal. Mal decided to stand up to her mother. She finally told her mother that she didn't want to be like her anymore. Maleficent might think love is weak and ridiculous but it's a wonderful feeling. She might think my dad is weak for protecting me but he's strong just like me. Maleficent yells out "I know one thing, young lady. You have no room for love in your life!"
Mal had just about enough, she used a spell to pull the wand out of Maleficent's hand. Maleficent was growing impatient and started to order Mal to give her the wand. Carlos figured that good is more powerful than evil. Then Dude came out of nowhere and jumped on Maleficent and she spoke "Breath, Breath! Get off!"
Jay grabbed her scepter but Maleficent's eyes glowed green as she felt Jay's muscles and spoke "Gaston should be jealous." She used her magic to push him off.
Now that was where she crossed the line, I summoned a fire spell and launched it straight at her. The spell hit Maleficent right in the chest and almost knocked her down. She stared at me with cold dead eyes then she began to surround herself in green smoke saying we would regret our choice. The smoke cleared and Maleficent had now transformed into a giant purple dragon.
Jay pulled me out of the way when Maleficent almost got me with her fire. I felt my Frost Giant side trying to take over, I kept pushing it down but it wasn't working. Maleficent turned to my brothers and dad, she blew a giant fireball straight at them. I watched as Fenris turned into a wolf and took the fireball. He fell to the floor groaning in pain. "You just crossed the line, witch!" I screamed.
For the first time, I had full control over my Frost Giant form. I grew a few inches, my skin turned sapphire blue but my eyes still stayed the same. I cast an ice spell to throw Maleficent off balance with her wings while Evie used her mirror to shine a bright light right in her eyes. Maleficent landed on the ground looking ready to charge at us but Mal stepped "Leave my friends alone! This is between you and me, Mother." she spoke angrily to her mother.
They started a staring contest as their eyes turned a bright green. Mal had never been able to beat her mother at a stare contest but she was not backing down. Mal started to chant a spell "The Strength of Evil is good as none, what stands before five hearts as one."
She repeated the spell to give her more power but it wasn't enough. Mal looked like she was about to lose but I joined her with the chant and it was working. Within seconds, Maleficent blinked, she lost but suddenly green smoke surrounded her then she was gone. Fairy Godmother became free of the spell and ran to us. Mal looked so confused thinking she had anything to do with her mother disappearing. "No. No. No. No. Your mother did. She shrank to the size of the love in her heart. That's why it's so itty-bitty." Fairy Godmother stated.
We looked down at where Maleficent stood and she was now a gecko. I guess she did have a little bit of love in her heart, but I think I like her better as a gecko than a dragon. Mal asked if the spell was permitted but Fairy Godmother said that if Mal learned to live then so could Maleficent. I ran over to Fenris, I saw that he had a huge burn mark on his back from Maleficent but he just said that he was fine.
Fairy Godmother stated that we all earned an A in Remedial Goodness which was great. She even spoke to my dad about having my brothers stay here while he went back to the Isle. However, my dad said that he would be looking for more VKs to come to Auradon as a way to repay for what he had done in the past.
Fairy Godmother lifted the spell on everyone, Ben looked like he was gonna turn into a beast but Mal stopped him. He told Mal that next time he would be the hero "Yeah right. Let a woman have their moment of victory." I said as I changed back to normal.
Some of the guards trapped Maleficent in a glass jar while the others looked at me like they wanted to arrest me. Mal cleared things up with them and even apologized to Jane. I saw my dad talking to Thor, I overheard them agreeing to fix their brother bond. Thor saw me and apologized for what Terra put me through. He even spoke to Dad about looking after me while Dad was still on the Isle. I guess it wouldn't hurt to get to know my Asgardian family.
Jay called to me and said, "Let's get this party started."
No one's pov:
The Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella looked out the window, seeing fireworks. As over at the Castle, the Party was underway.
