PREVIOUS CHAPTER REVIEWS/COMMENTS

FFN Death Fury: great chapter.

I am glad that Bakugo is resistant to mind control.

i also am happy to see that Izuku is changing for the better.

Response: Glad you liked it and are not angry that I gave Bakugo any form of good character development. And yeah, the canon never gave Izuku the realistic character arc they should have. So I intend to give him the slow but study development he should have gotten after going to UA and making friends with his classmates.

FFN Fox Sage 1: If it has to vote in the ending, my vote would be that the HPSC loses in the end, and whatever else you have in mind (comment made at the start of the chapter).

Response: I probably will not do a vote, mainly due to it potentially spoiling the ending of the story if I did that. But if I can keep the ending options vague enough to not spoil them, then I might. So if I can, look forward to that vote opening up at around chapter… maybe sixty?

AO3 comteqfr (Guest): Wait, I'm confused. Why did he pass out ?

Response: The explanation will come this chapter, so you will not have to wait long.

AUTHORS NOTE

Here is the explanation many of you were looking for, as well as how I think a diet plan would be unnecessary for Izuku in canon. You will also see a certain father/villain admit something important to someone he did not want to admit it to. And before anyone wants to complain or just question Vlad King in this, keep the following in mind. In the MHA universe blood quirk users are persecuted as much as heavy mutant quirks or the quirkless. So it is only natural that they would have developed their brain power more than someone with a 'HERORIC' quirk, just so they could get by. With that all said, enjoy the chapter and apologies for more teasing about a certain topic.

IZUKU MIDORIYA POV

Surrounded by enemies I stood shoulder to shoulder with Tetsu and Kendo as we were at the forefront of the pack with my only friend who transferred from 1-A to 1-B with me at my back. Even so I saw no reason to worry for once in my life as I had my classmates, my friends by my side. Giving a subtle nod to Tetsu and Kendo after locking eyes with each of them by means of a sideways glance getting nods and smiles from both of them. "All right everyone… let show them that we are heroes, NOT THEIR PREY!" I told everyone as we ran into the fight before us in groups.

UA RECOVERY GIRL

SECONDARY OFFICE

THIRD PERSON POV

As soon as All Might brought Izuku in, he was shown where to lay the young hero down. Recovery Girl also made sure to smack All Might upside the head after setting up the IV bags. "We are lucky that despite being constantly active, one for all only starts to become unstable when he tries to release the energy it generates." Recovery Girl said, looking on the bright side that she now has proof for her theory about All Might condition due to the quirk.

"Will he be alright!? Why did this happen!? How are we supposed to OW!" All Might fired off a barrage of questions, getting cut short by another wack from Recovery Girl cane.

"Calm the hell down boy, you sound like his father for crying out loud. I will give a full explanation once the others get here." She told him, with the exasperation in her voice made very clear. Remembering how Nana worried about him like he was also her own child, even Torino also acted similarly… well at least not in front of the symbol of peace. 'Unlike with Nana, he wanted to make a clear gap between them so if All For One had also killed him, then Toshinori would not be as devastated as with Nana.' Recovery Girl thought as she remembered when she saw her old friends training the blond, hard to be forget, and most of all big-hearted buffoon.

"You do remember I am already in my mid-fifties… right? I think I outgrew the term boy long ago." He rebutted the word boy, as he pointed out he was clearly old enough to be considered a grown adult. Though he was grateful that unlike Torino, she held back referring to him as such whenever in public. With special care when it comes to being around the other teachers as he was already considered their junior as a professional despite being older than them all.

"Compared to me you will always be an ignorant child… at least you made Nana proud to have chosen you as her successor." She grumbled the second half, not wanting him to get sentimental on her. Especially before she is about to chew him and the others out for not realizing right away that Izuku needed help.

Granted as the medical professional she herself probably should have noticed it sooner as well. But unlike Vlad King who had twenty-one other students at any given time throughout the school day. As well as Nezu with a whole school to look after constantly. All Might only had Midoriya who needed his full attention as his successor since he only taught the hero equivalent of gym class. So, he had much less on his plate to distract himself compared to the other two.

By the time the others got to the room, Izuku was doing much better. Though he was still unconscious and likely till tomorrow. It was by far a better alternative than the worst-case scenario if he went into severe muscle spasms or had a heart attack.

"As many questions as I have about this secret lab-" Vlad King said before he was cut off by Nezu.

"Secondary Office." Nezu corrected him, trying to downplay the fact that he built her what was essentially a mini hospital in the basement of UA for her research purposes.

"... LAB! Despite all the questions it raises I am more concerned as to why Midoriya suddenly collapsed like that." Vlad King said, correcting his boss as no normal person would call this place a secondary nurses office.

"Well to put it mildly, Midoriya basically attempted an elaborate suicide attempt in front of all of his peers and teachers using his quirk… with me and All Might being partially responsible for helping him." Recovery Girl did not sugarcoat her and All Might's screw up when helping the ninth holder learn how to handle it.

"WHAT!" both other teachers exclaimed as All Might shrunk in on himself a little while Nezu simply raised an eyebrow at this statement.

"Could you explain it to us? Preferably in more detail if possible." Nezu said as he now took a seat in a chair across from the school nurse that he wheeled over to her when they got in.

"First off I should explain the plan Midoriya came up with that we helped him with, a plan that involved his diet." All Might said, confusing the other two men further as to how a new diet could cause his quirk to slowly kill him without no one noticing till now.

"The quirk itself is, in all actuality, was constantly active always growing in strength. Absorbing bits of energy into its core with every twitch of his muscles, due to this he needs to eat more even without activating it. So, his theory was that if he ate the bare minimum his body now needed to get through the day without activating the quirk. Then he could control it better by depriving the quirk itself of energy to work with, limiting the power output from it." All Might said recalling how it seemed like a relatively good idea given his experience with the quirk.

"But then how did she figure out this would happen before she called us?" Hound Dog now curious as to what tipped her off in the nick of time… well almost in the nick of time.

"I was examining Midoriya blood and realized that unlike with Toshi blood, the quirk factor of the quirk changed greatly from when Toshi had received it. In fact, it was enough that if he had a quirk I have no doubts his body would destroy itself from the inside out within the course of the year. Even if he was on a proper diet that did not limit the power of the quirk." Recovery Girl told them seeing their eyes go momentarily wide in surprise. Of course, everyone took notice of the shortened version of his first name, noting the friendly, almost familial way it was used.

"How much did it go up by exactly?" Nezu was the first to respond, having a hunch they were witnessing 'that' quirk theory at play here.

"If what Nana passed on to him was the quirk factor equivalent to a bomb that could level a whole building with ease… then Midoriya received what was the quirk factor equivalent of a bomb capable of wiping out an entire city with ease. And that is a conservative estimate to keep in mind as the amount broke the machine when it tried to give me a proper reading on it." She told them seeing Vlad King's jaw literally drop while Hound Dog looked like he was about to gag like a dog from eating grass.

"HOW THE HELL DID IT GROW THAT MUCH IN BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM!?" Vlad King shouted, as All Might had now frozen up realizing what he did to Midoriya. Fortunately for the blonde hero, Nezu snapped him out of it with a quick tap to his leg.

"Well assuming it only existed for roughly a hundred and sixty years, let's subtract forty of those years for when All Might held it. That leaves us with a hundred and twenty years and a total of seven heroes to feed its core. That means for a hundred and twenty years it was constantly growing before the incredible jump in strength we saw from Nana Shimura to him." Nezu said aloud, remembering as he compared videos of her to All Might in his younger years. The gap in power between the two of them even back then was clear to see.

"So what? How does that explain the explosive growth in quirk factor and as a result, the overall power?" Hound Dog asked, still having a hard time wrapping his head around the concept of a transferring quirk to begin with.

"Assuming that it was on the verge of breaking its limit before Nana transferred it to him, that means that over the course of the forty years he had it. The quirk finally broke its natural limiter to continue growing. Meaning that unlike Toshi who could access not all but most of the power right away, there was no such safety limiter for Midoriya. Which is why he is shattering his entire arm or leg from the inside out, when normally a quirk should naturally restrain itself if the user cannot safely handle that much power." Recovery Girl said, noting how unlike All Might, Midoriya seemed to access a level of power equal to the symbol of peace. Even though his body can only realistically handle about five percent at most right now.

"I'm no expert on genetics mind you… but is it the same when compared between All Might and his mentor? Or even between him and Midoriya?" Vlad King asked her, making them all unsure as to what he was getting at.

"Well now that you mention it, there is a slight difference in both instances to the quirk factor that is akin to a parent passing it on to their child. But why do you ask?" Recovery Girl asked him back, as both her and Nezu had a bad gut feeling about this.

"My apologies but… did you ever experience something like sensing danger before, Yagi." Vlad King asked as he turned to the number one hero, now dropping his hero name to address him in a slightly more familiar tone befitting two colleges.

"Well now that you mention it… despite being too far away to hear civilians screaming for help or even being able to hear them through rubble. I didn't hear more as I did feel that they were in danger and needed help. But why do you ask about me now?" All Might respond in kind, not seeing how this applied to his successor.

"I noticed during the training exercise that Midoriya somehow sensed the attacks coming before they occurred. Well assuming his facial expressions were read correctly." He told them, making everyone surprised that getting one for all may have awakened his own quirk, and that All Might may have had a similar but weaker quirk of the same type.

"That still doesn't explain the odd question?" All Might spoke up again, still not able to follow his train of thought.

"Well, you said you needed him to swallow some of your DNA to transfer the quirk, correct?" Vlad King asked All Might once again another question. With a nod of yes he continued. "Well, if it bonds to the next user through DNA… what if it also passed on the quirk factor of all the previous users to the next. And the quirk breaking its… 'limit' is causing those quirks to awaken, or at least partially awaken… though in Yagi case." Vlad King said, finding it hard to finish as he started to trail off here and there as the shock on all their faces grew.

"Excluding Toshi and the first user, then Midoriya will awaken five more quirks before he masters the quirk. And if he begins to awaken them too quickly..." Recovery Girl said in realization of what lay ahead for Midoriya, trailing off till Nezu had to finish for her.

"Then he will be the first if not one of the first of his generation to experience the quirk singularity. His body tearing itself apart from the inside out as the quirk can no longer be contained by a natural human vessel." Nezu finished for her, causing them all to worry for the young man who was currently unconscious.

"For now, we need to let his mother know that he cannot be moved for now as well as have her come in for an explanation… with the parts of the quirks history omitted and the fact that it was transferred from All Might." Hound Dog said, as they all nodded in agreement with the extra emphasis put on how Izuku got his quirk.

Nezu also called Power Loader to have him prepare a special item, or rather a set of items for Midoriya to use to train his control over the quirk. Also, they were changing his diet from limiting the power, to one that gave him extra fuel for his quirk to use. After all, his stomach would need to get used to him eating large amounts in the future once his body gets fully adjusted to the quirk.

UA GYM GAMA

(SUNDAY)

ALL MIGHT POV

Yesterday was a hectic and hellish meeting as they had to explain to Midoriya's mother why he collapsed. As well as to warn her of the multiple quirk theory they came up with, without discussing the truth of one for all that is.

"His mother said that his father was not present due to his work in America. But given that Izuku's life was not in immediate danger, it made sense as they relied on him as the sole provider." I said under my breath, trying to think better by thinking out loud without distracting young Midoriya who was currently running laps.

It also did not escape his mind that he called Midoriya by his first name at the sight of him collapsing suddenly. 'But so long as I restrained myself in front of others, then it would not be an issue…' yeah, that is what he would go with. He would find time to tackle that internal issue later, eventually he would deal with it.

"It was quite a shock yesterday when his mother said she was going to record the conversation and send it to her husband to hear our explanation." I told myself. Still in shock from yesterday as I recalled how sudden it seemed. But after her explanation it made sense, so as odd as it was, it was not suspicious. Apparently it was his father that young Midoriya took after in terms of intelligence. Though his appearance or rather his hair and eye color was his mother.

His mother also told us that in terms of facial features, he also took more after his father… What bothered me was that when she said that his face did seem familiar to me in the sense of reminding me of someone else, but I could not place it.

'She had said she would ask her husband to simplify their explanation of young Midoriya's quirk for her. Apparently his hobby of studying quirks was something his father did as well, though his father disliked heroes only appreciating the quirks themselves.' I thought that was also odd and very familiar sounding, but… no, that monster would never have a family. It must be someone else I cannot properly remember that his face somewhat resembles, so I should forget about it.

Midoriya also woke up that morning before she came and was told what happened. Needless to say, he was not surprised to be told that he had awakened another quirk or that multiple quirk theory. He also pointed out how that steam I emit when I shrink down was possibly another one of the quirks. That I had probably, and unknowingly, unlocked when I wanted to start hiding my real form from the public and others I did not trust.

She agreed to let him spend the remainder of the weekend at school for observations. At first she said that she would bring a change of clothes before Vlad had suggested he go with her and bring them back himself. Stating that the kind mother should rest instead of paying for back-to-back trips to the school, I would have offered myself if not for my time limit.

But in any case, my successor was now even more worried that he would still have zero control by the time of the sports festival. Fortunately for young Midoriya, it was postponed by a week, as it was originally supposed to be held during the first week of May. This was apparently to avoid a tight schedule for the teachers, but due to the USJ attack they needed to push it back to the week after.

Meaning they will have the festival take up the first half of the second week in May. That only left three days for the heroes to send internship offers. The teachers need at least a day to review before handing them to the students. So, they had the deadline be six in the morning of Sunday, which was the latest Nezu said he could try to make it. Also, any offers from international heroes are officially declared to be not allowed.

It wasn't official before because it only applied to me in all of UA history. But now with the day only time limit they had to make sure. It made sense as an international offer would require at least twice, no three or four times the level of in-depth research.

Given they would send a student to another country in that instance. It was necessary to be as cautious as possible in case it becomes an international issue between nations. Hell, it could also become an international issue just by rejecting it.

Finally, the whole of the third week for the students to decide what offer they will take. "I hope the kids make good choices… or at least have the opportunity to make choices to begin with." I could not help but worry, remembering my experience. The first-year festival was a disaster for me as I held back out of worry, getting eliminated in the second round due to it. My international offer happened during my second year, after I had learned to not hesitate to use it with my classmates.

Apparently Nezu and the others would prefer a week to review the offers. But they will not be able to hold it during the first week now when classes would normally be canceled due to the string of holidays that week. Which was smart for them to try to take advantage of due to making the deadline for offers at the end of the sport festival week. That way the heroes were not rushed in picking anyone to take under their wings.

"It will likely not be until Monday came that Izuku fully understood how the other classes saw them. As well as the current state of 1-A and how much longer till it would likely shrink to nearly half of its original starting size." I told myself with a sigh before noticing young Midoriya came over from his jog. It may be cruel, but I did not tell him about it to avoid adding unnecessary stress for now.

ALL FOR ONE LAIR

THIRD PERSON POV

Doctor Garaki had been quite curious as to why his master was so worried over a hypothetical… enough so that he was worried it was not just a hypothetical. As soon as they asked if a child of his master could potentially awaken multiple quirks instead of all for one, the good doctor was intrigued to say the least. Such thought exercises were normal for them as they both enjoyed studying quirks and learning to understand their inherently chaotic nature.

Originally he thought they would either come out quirkless or simply a significantly stronger version of their mother quirk. This was due to all for one having no quirk factor itself, making it undetectable unless they knew to look for a special factor. Similar to the quirk factor everyone else had. Except it attracted and bound other quirk factors to it, making it a blank slate allowing his master to wield any quirk. Adapting to them with ease, rather than those who had their quirks swapped out or straight out given to him in the past.

Deciding he needed to confirm this, he approached his master with the kind of boldness only he and the Shimura brat could. "Apologies if this is stepping out of bounds, but… please tell me the full story before I start looking into it myself. Do you have a possible child?" He asked them as he instantly felt a wave of bloodlust overflow from his master. But unlike others, he would not collapse to his knees simply because his master was being a bit moody. Unlike them he was confident that the master would only scold him at worst due to how useful him and his research was to the demon lord of the quirk era.

All For One, for the first time in his life, wanted to kill his doctor and most loyal subject. However, his better judgment calmed him down and he let out a deep sigh. "I am going to tell you something, but you cannot tell anyone, not even Kurogiri or Tomura… especially Tomura." He told his doctor as he gestured for them to take a seat as this would be mildly lengthy.
