During a sunny afternoon with a few clouds in the sky... Daisuke Nakamura and his younger sibling, Keiko Nakamura had spent their time walking around the Takagi Estate. Daisuke had worn a green track suit, while Keiko wore a green kimono.
The day was bright as the sun was out hovering over the blue sky.
"I'm happy that we are back, together again, Onii-chan." Keiko had smiled and clutched Daisuke's right arm.
"Yeah. I'm happy, too." Daisuke smiled back.
The two Nakamura siblings continued enjoying their day. But what they didn't know was that they were being secretly followed.
Saya Takagi had been keeping a close eye on the pair of siblings. Ever since she saw them. She hid behind a tree as she watched them like a hawk. Mostly, Daisuke.
After they had left her sight... she sighed, disappointingly.
"Is everything okay with you?" A random voice came from nowhere.
"I'm fine, but it's just-" Saya had turned her head to where the voice was coming from. She saw Saeko Busujima standing in front of her. "S-S-S-SAEKO? W-what are you doing, here?" Saeko had acted all flustered as a blush had appeared on her face.
Saeko had worn a black kimono and her long dark blue hair was tied in a ponytail. "I was about to ask you the same thing, but I can clearly see that you're making sure that Nakamura-kun and Keiko-chan are okay. Like a good guardian angel." Saeko
"W-what are you talking about? I wasn't stalking Daisuke-kun or anything!" Saya still was flustered and she waved her hands in denial. She then covered her mouth as she realized she said the wrong word.
Saeko had chuckled. "Relax. I am only teasing."
Saya had sighed in relief.
"But, I have taken notice that you have been following Nakamura-kun, since this morning." Saeko said.
Saya had gasped. "H-how long have you've known?"
"Almost instantly." Saeko said.
Saya had looked to her bottom left corner and blushed a bit.
"Is there something that you want from them?" Saeko asked.
"Um..." Saya had stuttered as words couldn't leave her lips.
"It's okay. I'll wait." Saeko said.
Saya sighed, then had slid her back down on the tree and sat down. "Look. I know that you're aware that I have a big crush on Daisuke-kun. It's just... I really have to tell him something! Something important."
Saeko had continued to listen to Saya's story.
"I understand that Keiko-chan and Daisuke-kun have a family bond and I don't want to ruin that. But I kind of feel like they're taking a long time to do it. I'm afraid I'll never get the chance..."
Saeko had then placed a hand on Saya's right shoulder. "I appreciate you giving them time to catch up. But, still... they're family. And speaking of family, you should try bonding with your parents." Saeko told Saya.
Meanwhile...
Toshimi Niki had suddenly approached the nurse, Shizuka Marikawa and little Arisu Maresato, who were playing together by the Takagi Residence Pond filled with koi fish.
"Hi, Marikawa-sensei! Hi Arisu-chan!" Toshimi had kindly greeted Daisuke Shizuka and Arisu.
"Why hell, Toshimi-chan." Shizuka had responded, kindly.
"Hello, Niki-san!" Arisu had happily greeted Toshimi.
"What can I do for you, today?" Shizuka had asked.
"Um... if you don't mind me asking, sensei." Toshimi had bowed her head toward Shizuka. "I was wondering if you could teach me about medicine?"
"Oh?" Shizuka had saw Toshimi bow to her. "Toshimi-chan. Please, raise your head. You don't have to bow in order to gain knowledge." Shizuka smiled. "I will happily teach you." Shizuka clapped her hands, together.
Toshimi happily gasped, then had quickly hugged Shizuka in pure joy. "Thank you so much!"
Meanwhile, within the Takagi Mansion...
Within the Takagi Mansion, the rest of the highschool survivors had resided there. Doing different things within.
"Ugh... I'm so bored!" Morita said as he slouched on a couch within the TV room. He stared at the now dysfunctional TV. 'No TV. No electric guitars. Just nothing to do. Having no electricity at all sucks!'
Kohta Hirano had sat on the same couch as Morita. But he had fallen asleep.
Tomomi Kageyama was sitting in a library room inside the mansion, alone. He sat at a table with at least six books stacked on top of one another. He was currently reading a novel called, 'Runaway Horses'. He was a quarter into the book.
Tomoe Arise was currently sleeping within the girl's guest room.
Meanwhile...
Rei Miyamoto, a survivor of Fujimi Academy had stared out the window as she stood and leaned on top of the balcony of the Takagi Mansion. She was bored. She didn't know what to do for the day. She had watched a few of her friends enjoying themselves from the balcony.
"Hey."
'Hm?' Rei heard a voice come from behind her. She slowly looked back to see... her childhood friend and ex-boyfriend, Takashi Komuro.
Takashi had a normal look on his face and had worn a long-sleeved shirt and dark blue jeans.
Rei had neutral feelings when she saw him. She wasn't happy, sad, relieved or angry. Just nothing for him. She had then turned the other way and looked out the balcony. "Hey."
Takashi had stopped for a second as soon as he saw Rei turn her vision away from him. And he also noticed that she didn't smile at him. And in the tone of her voice... Rei sounded like she didn't want to see him. He had still continued to approach her. "I'm happy that you made it here, safely."
"Yeah. Me too." Rei said in a neutral, but cold voice.
Takashi could seill see that Rei was still in a strange mood. He didn't want it to get to him. "Everyone else will be heading downstairs, soon. You wanna come?" Takashi asked as he pointed his thumb over his shoulder.
"Maybe later." Rei said without looking back at Takashi.
After hearing Rei's response, Takashi had frowned. He didn't know what to do, next. He then let out a sigh... and exited the room. He wasn't depressed, but part of him knew that Rei needed her space.
Rei Miyamoto had continued to stare out the window. She couldn't help but think of her last encounters with Takashi Komuro.
A Few Minutes Later...
Daisuke Nakamura and Keiko Nakamura had continued roaming in the Takagi Estate. Chatting and enjoying their time together. They were by the refugee tents.
"I cannot wait to find and reunite Okāsan and Otōsan. It feels like a lifetime, since we have seen them." Keiko smiled as she walked with Daisuke.
"Yeah." Daisuke nodded. "They must be worried sick."
"I'm sure that your parents are. Nakamura-kun..."
Both Daisuke and Keiko Nakamura had stopped walking for a moment, and both looked and saw the teacher, Koichi Shido standing in front of them.
Koichi Shido had a calm smile on his face and had continued wearing his black business casual suit in front of them. "It's been a while, hasn't it?"
Daisuke's eyes widened, surprisingly. And Keiko had a look of worry on her face. This was the first time they had seen Koichi Shido, since they had exited the Fujimi Academy school bus.
"What's the matter? You're not happy to see that your teacher had made it here safely, also?" Koichi asked in a bit of an upset voice.
"I never acknowledged you as my superior." Daisuke said.
"Eh?"
"And also... how did you find this place?" Daisuke had asked.
Koichi had chuckled a bit. "A little birdie had told me that all the survivors were heading and taking refuge within one of the safest places in all of Tokonosu." Koichi said while raising his right hand in the air. 'And that's here. The Takagi Estate." Koichi had pointed down at the ground below his feet.
Daisuke had grunted. 'So, they learned of this place, huh?' Daisuke had thought.
"Yes. I was happy to learn of this safe haven. But, who am I kidding? I'm not the only one whom was happy." Koichi had smirked.
Keiko Nakamura had suddenly glanced to her left and looked behind hersef. She then gasped. "Onii-chan!"
Daisuke quickly turned to Keiko. "What is it, Keiko-chan?" Daisuke had quickly looked and gasped to see members of the Fujimi Academy track team surrounding them from a few yards from them. Daisuke had seen the likes of Kawamoto, Taniuchi and a few other students that Daisuke barely remembers. They all had normal looks but with a sly smile. 'Don't tell me... they're all here?' Daisuke had thought of the day when he had exited the Fujimi Academy school bus. He remembered seeing handful of students behind Shido. They were clapping and voting that he should be the leader of the group. 'I remember seeing some girls on the bus. And a few boys, and-' He had then gasped. "Wait... where's Tsunoda and Yamada?" Daisuke asked in an unsettled tone.
Koichi raised his head upward and placed his right hand on his right head. "Oh, right. Those two." Koichi had slowly rubbed his right hand back in his slick short black hair. "As for Yamada, I'm afraid that he didn't make it along with the rest of us." Koichi said.
Both Daisuke and Keiko had gasped.
"Yes. I'm afraid he had decided to sacrifice himself to protect one of our own." Koichi said as he then thought of Yamada. 'Of course, by sacrifice... I mean, left to be eaten by the dead.'
Flashback
A Few days prior... a teenage Fujimi Academy student named Yamada had begun screaming outside of a bus.
"Please, let me back in! They're getting closer! I can't protect myself!" Yamada screamed as he banged on the door bus. Beggin his teacher, Shido to let him back in to take refuge from the dead. But his cries had fallen on deaf ears, before the dead had reached Yamada in arm's length.
End Flashback
"It really was a tragedy. I wished that I had made it in time to prevent him from being torn apart." Koichi said acting like he was nonchalant. "But as for Tsunoda... well, you can say that he's catching up with... an old member of the track team." Koichi said as his eyes slightly glanced to the left.
"An old member of the track team?" Daisuke asked.
Keiko had thought for a second, then had gasped and looked to Daisuke. "Onii-chan! I think that he means-"
Meanwhile...
Outside of the Takagi Mansion... Yuuki Miku had sat under a tree by a small pond with koi fish swimming in it. She sat under the tree with a handmade mirror that she held in her left hand. She had held peach-shaded lipstick in her right hand and was working on her lips. She knew there was no electricity within the home, so she decided to try cosmetics outside the house in broad daylight. There was a little makeup kit next to her right knee.
Suddenly, a person had stood before Yuuki, who's working on cosmetics. He stood on her left side.
"Look, Morita. I don't have time to mess around with you, today. Come bother me, later." Yuuki had told the individual without looking at the person.
"Well, you look real gorgeous. Yuuki-chan."
Yuuki had gasped when she heard a different voice, but it sounded familiar. She looked up to see someone standing before her and smiling at her. Her eyes widened.
"T-Tsunda-kun?"
Meanwhile...
"What are you planning to do with Yuuki-chan?" Daisuke had asked as he frowned at Koichi. "You better not send Tsunoda or anyone else to hurt her, or-"
"Oh, please. Do you really think that I would go to great links to harm one of my own "precious" students? What kind of person do you think I am, Nakamura-kun?" Koichi asked in a slick tone as he then thought of Yuuki Miku.
"Tch!" Daisuke grunted in disgust.
"My students and I have struggled to make it this far-and I would hate to have myself thrown out of this safe haven-over a little... assault accusation. But for now, I think it's time that me and my students will have some... "Rest and Relaxation." and enjoy our day." He chuckled, once more.
Keiko had clutched onto Daisuke's arm, tightly in a fit of worry.
"But for now." Koichi Shido had turned his back on the Nakamura siblings. "Enjoy the rest of your day, Nakamura-kun. Keiko-chan." He had begun leaving. "As they say in Britain... Ta-ta."
Not long did it take for Koichi's students to part ways from the Nakamura siblings.
After the students and Shido had left their presence, Keiko had quickly turned to Daisuke with a worried look on her face. "What do we do now, Onii-chan?" Keiko had asked, then looked in his eyes. His eyes had a look of shock. "Onii-chan?" She asked, once more.
Daisuke's mind was whirling with negative emotions. Such as... Anger. Shock. Fear. And worry. His fear had become true. Koichi Shido had found the Takagi Estate. And he knew that Koichi Shido was a manipulator but doesn't know how good of it he was.
"Onii-chan?"
Daisuke had suddenly snapped out of a trans and looked to Keiko with shock. He grabbed Keiko by her upper arms in worry. "How long has Shido been here?"
"Um, well... since yesterday. Just before the power had gone out... and before you had arrived here." Keiko had hesitated to say.
"Does Takashi and the others know?" Daisuke asked in a shocked and worried tone.
"Yes. Shido had approached us in the front entrance of the Takagi Estate. Well, not all of us-as Saeko-san had taken upstairs. This was my first time seeing him, today." Keiko had stated.
Daisuke's eyes had grown a bit bigger after learning that information as he stared at Keiko. 'We gotta do something and fast!' Daisuke had thought to himself as he stared at Keiko.
