Ch. 29 Prepare for Trouble and Make It Double
Long story short May had gotten dressed before either of the boys and had been in the mists of explaining to Manaphy why she needed it to go inside a Pokeball. She remembered that she had a Premier ball on hand and thought it would be nice if Manaphy's ball wasn't just one of many common balls. Pulling out the Pokeball she gently pressed the button to Manaphy's head and with a red flash, the small mythical was sucked into the white-colored Pokeball. Ash was the second to come out from his room greeting May with a sun-filled smile, "I'm all set and I gotta say you look beautiful."
May's outfit consisted of a sleeveless navy blue top that turned into something akin to ribbons wrapping around her waist and being tied off with a bit of ribbon left dangling. Parts of her hair still flowed down her back, with a bit up front to frame her shoulders. She also wore dark blue ripped jeans that, 'definitely showed her figure,' the boy thought seeing her curves. Finally on her feet a pair of slim black ankle boots with thick and sturdy heels. Perfect shoes for looking classy while not worrying about breaking a heel. May felt her chest flutter and with a giggle moved to place a quick peck on the lips, thus leaving Ash with a dopey grin. Pikachu, who was being carried in Ash's arms, laughed giddily using his paws to cover his eyes but tried to be sneaky by peaking through his fingers.
All the while May stepped back and gave him a once over, deciding that he too looked good. The black haired teen was wearing a white v-neck shirt and a pale purple open button-up top of that. The short sleeves stopped just about halfway down his biceps with a bit of a squeeze that she took notice of. As for his pants, he wore a simple pair of light blue ripped jeans with converse. Doppy grin or not, May definitely thought he was good-looking. "You look good too, Ash."
They spoke for a bit before Gary finally was ready and stepped onto the porch looking like a model. His hair was slicked back with silver-rimmed sunglasses, and a crimson red long-sleeve shirt that had four buttons just under the neckline left unbuttoned. The sleeves were also pulled about halfway up his forearm. The fabric looked as if it were ever so slightly strained to fit over the young man's muscles. He wore form-fitting dark slate dress pants, obviously trailer perfectly to his legs. On his feet a white converse and a white banded watch on his wrist. He looked a lot like the actor who played Captain Unova with his Braviary. A bit more formal for an outing but just casual enough not to stand out.
Both the boy and girl immediately allowed their eyes to roam their friends' bodies from head to toe. Noticing how jacked the guy looked in those clothes, neither could keep themselves from sneaking a peak at the juncture where his thighs met. May bit her lip doing her best to keep from glancing but well you know, Gary smirked knowingly, "Are you two done checking me out? I thought we had something to do." Snapping their gaze from the redhead's crotch and turning away, faces heating up, they both responded in unison, "I don't know what you're talking about."
Just before they left Ash made sure both Gary and May left a few pokemon slots free. When they questioned that, he simply told them with a toothy smile, why not. In the end, Pikachu, Glaceon, and Umbreon had been selected to remain outside for a while in the eeveelution's case. Both coordinator and professor chose to bring one additional pokemon in the brunette's Munchlax and the redhead's Electivire. Ash on the other hand decided on three additional pokemon in Lucario, his Dewott and Quilava. Dewott had evolved a while back on one of Ash's secret missions.
…
It wasn't long before the sun fully bathed the islands in its warmth and light, giving everyone energy and a positive outlook for the day that lay ahead. The sound of trumping steps was heard as in the distance a group of humans and pokemon came into view. See, the ride through the AloIan wilds was a pleasant one, at least for Pikachu that is. The reason being was that our little buddy allowed himself the pleasure of laying atop Ash's soft dark locks. Looking up Ash rolled his eyes chuckling at the quiet cooes coming from his starter. As far as the eeveelutions were concerned, it was honestly a joyous moment loving to walk alongside their favorite human.
For example, Glaceon would run on ahead, skipping, and trotting along before slowing to allow her friends to catch up. When May neared she would step in line beside her then Glaceon would rub her cheek against her leg. Giggling, the Princess of Hoenn would lean down and scratch the feline's back, easily shaking the smaller creature into a little wobble. Manaphy giggled, moving its antennae to pet Glaceon as well. Umbreon's behavior on the other hand resembled Gary's quite well, in fact, it was hard to miss the way Umbreon held itself around others. Walking at a steady pace keeping in tow Gary and every so often veering away to sniff at something before returning to his human's side. Yet he wasn't amiss when it came to playing, as it would bounce about a bit whenever Glaceon came near. With a bit of pouncing and hoping they played, where he would nip at her ears every so often. Gary felt a great deal of relief and satisfaction at the sound of his friend's purrs as it was a clear sign that he was happy. At the very least it could be, unlike himself, who was nearing his end that night. Umbreon turned up to look at Gary with a bright grin before making its way to catch up with Glaceon. "Brrree," hummed the black-furred canine coming up to one of its many counterparts.
A rustle somewhere in the woods, or a small distant croak causing twitches in both Glaceon and Umbreon's sensitive ears, of course, it was nothing to worry about as they were just the sounds of nature. Nevertheless, they joyfully walked alongside their humans, after all, it was a bright sunny day with a nice breeze ruffling through their fur. For Manaphy this was quite the adventure already mostly due to the fact that it was a marine pokemon, with an emphasis on marine. So, because of this Manaphy observed all the terrestrial plant life from the tallest tree to the smallest shrub with fascination. It was something so mundane and common to the rest, even so, May smiled and nodded, responding in kind whenever the small sea dweller pointed excitedly at a tree or moss-covered rock. Of course, Manaphy's reaction whenever spotting a wild terrestrial pokemon was incredibly cute because it would wave and happily greet the wild mon from afar. Lastly, there was Rotom who of course shifted his conversion between the three humans, delighting in the fact that he shared recently discovered pokemon facts with them.
Then..."Pika!" exclaimed Pikachu looking up only to be scooped up and off Ash's head, leaving the baseball cap abandoned on the ground. May gasped as did her Glaceon; while Gary growled like his Umbreon upon hearing the echoing laughter that came from ahead of them. Shouts came following the capture of the yellow electric type. "Piika Chuuugg..." huffed the small mouse trying to weasel out of the strong embrace. "Bzztssz, oh noooo Pikachu's beeen grabbed by a giant rrobotic haaand!" shouted Rotom Dex bring its arms up frantically. "Ahaha, it seems that Pikachu had been caught in Team Rocket's powerful embrace!" resonated an all too familiar female voice and a specific, "Waaah bufffette!" following her comment. Next, a soothing and suave voice was heard, "Indeed, and quite a tremendous one at that." "Haha, Pikachu's really feelin' it now, da lovin' and powerful embrace of Team Rocket, aha haha!" finished the scratch cat pokemon jumping into view alongside its long-time partners. Meowth cackled maniacally standing proudly atop Robo Bewear's head leaving Jessie and James on either one of the machine's shoulders. "Team Rocket, I should have known, you'd think that by now you'd get it into your thick skull, to stop messing with us. Plus, who'd willingly jump into your crusty arms," called out as his eyes just so happened to lock with the magenta-haired woman as he finished his sentence. Alright, maybe the last bit wasn't in line with his usually eloquent vocabulary, but you have to remember that he was not in his usual standing.
Then out of nowhere the image of a gargantuan volcano rose from the ground as if it were the one that had created the island in the ancient past, had reawakened. Standing before the mountain of fire stood Jessie displaying an equal amount of power, her eyes turning into one resembling monsters in myth. "How. Dare. You. Call me, old and crusty as the burnt crust of an overcooked pizza!"
?
For three sends Rotom, Ash, May, Pikachu, Umbreon, and Glaceon all had question marks orbiting around their heads. Those three seconds were all it took Jessie to go from 0 to 100. Gary made to speak, "I didn-" but was rapidly cut off but the screams of the woman, "Ancient, huh? I'll show you what this old hag can do?" In mere moments Jessie jumped into the air making her landing a few inches in front of the auburn who flinched; May doing the same as she had been standing next to Gary from the start. May could not believe her eyes when she watched a raging rocketeer grab the young and larger male by the collar pulling him down into a rather passionate kiss. Her face turned a burning red watching the other woman jetted her tongue into his mouth with such passion. Even Ash, who had been dumbfoundedly silent since the beginning, felt his jaw drop at the sight, and maybe a slight dusting to pink on his cheeks. Manaphy tilted its head in adorable confusion. Okay, so imagine how Gary felt about it considering he was the one being so angrily kissed. Gary could only stand there bent forwards in an uncomfortable position for his back, playing an unwanted game of tonsil hockey with the short in height, Jessie of Team Rocket. Of all people! Immediately, the live Pokedex began zipping around taking pictures from all angles shouting, "Must record data, must archive data…" Standing on the machine's head James peered down at the sight feeling one of his eyes begin to twitch all the while a stressed smile graced his face. He didn't know why his partner was doing as she was, but he knew for a definitive fact he did not like it. Pikachu only looked on in horror, his face turning a deep purple. Thankfully, for everyone who was witness to this event, Jessie pulled back releasing her grip on the young adult, then turning on her heel and striding her way back to her original spot.
Gary's eyes had rolled into the back of his head, his face was pale as the moon as his soul tried to escape out his mouth. His knees trembled from the trauma and had just about given out when he was caught by Ash who had hooked his arms under Gary's from behind. Letting Ash guide his shell of a body to lie on the ground, May made her way to the larger of the three with Umbreon following in tow. "Bree, breeon, umbrei?" question the black with yellow ringed pokemon asked nudging at his partner's neck and giving his cheek a few licks. Still, Gary did not move; all he could do was groan in agony while his soul continued trying to escape his body. Worried Manaphy gently poked at Gary with its arm...fin...flipper…
?
Anyway, as it did so May sweatdropped, but nevertheless tried to coax the nonreactive boy to get up. "Welp, he's dead. Rip, Gary Oak, we'll miss you, and we'll see you on the other side someday," Ash mourned as he squatted into a praying position, Rotom Dex and Pikachu mimicking said motion from his captured location, "Though, we can't afford a fancy grave so we'll find a ditch to drop you in…" Immediately, the professor's soul was sucked back in only barked out in rage, " WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!" Hey, could you blame Ash, earlier he had been attacked by the larger male and bruised a bit, giving him a little grief was necessary considering they hadn't talked yet, plus the thing with Jessie was somehow just karma, he guessed?
Looking defiantly in the opposite direction Jessie huffed proclaiming that it was just a kiss no need to act so dramatically about it. Plus, she had shown him how a real woman kissed, even though Gary's had various escapades with women his age even a few older ones. Yet, here he was losing it over one kiss. Looking at her best friend with pity May thought something similar to Ash. What Gary was experiencing now was karma because of their earlier wrestling match. "Come on, Gary, you gotta snap out of it.
The blue-haired rocketeer sighs deeply, mumbling something about how things never went their way then pushing the release button so the Bewear bot would let Pikachu drop to the ground. Sprinting to his human Pikachu climbed the young trainer like a tree allowing himself to sit on his shoulder nuzzling him with glee. "Nice to have you back, bud, you didn't get hurt did you," Pikachu was asked, shaking his head much to Ash's relief. Well, he knew that there was never any real danger but still how could he not worry?
"Alright, guys, that was your one chance this month, better luck next time."
"Excuse You, What?" questioned both the pretty coordinator and the handsome brunette.
Ignored, May and Gary turned to Team Rocket's Meowth when he spoke with a shrug, "What ya gonna do, though, I blame this failure on Mr. Smart Professor, over dere."
Raising an eyebrow Ash chuckled looking rather amused. "I guess you could say that, though why the giant robot?" "Pika chuc Pika," Pikachu asked as well.
"We're going back to our roots obviously," Jessie retorted with a roll of her eyes, "Considering that this isn't going to be a frequent event for much longer."
This garnered a confused glance between the champion and his pokemon, "Huh, what do you mean by that?"
This time around James made his voice heard as he stepped down from atop the large machine so that he was standing next to Meowth and Jessie who were already on the ground. Flicking his hair out of his face James smiled, "We've been thinking about a few things lately, and we-"
"Alright, Alright, what's going on here?" All eyes turned to Gary, May, Glaceon, and Umbreon sat looking up at them with bewilderment. Actually, their perplexed looks were valid since practically all their previous experiences with the band of crooks had rarely been pleasant if not annoying. "Yeah, Ash, why are you talking with Team Rocket like they didn't just try to capture Pikachu?" added the young woman.
Immediately, sweatdropping Pikachu and Ash brought their arms up to rub the back of their necks Mareepishly. "Piiika pikapi chu," Pikachu began with a small smile. Ash on the other hand tried to explain only to trip over his own words and gave a long-winded and tangled story of what led to the truce between the Champion of Alola and the ever-present Team Rocket. Once again, Meowth huffed, "Well, Professor twerp and twerpette, I'll explain da situation. Short version for you to understand. The twe-er Ash and Pikachu made a truce with us and the powerful boss of Team Rocket, Giovanni!" (Meowth looked very proud at the mention of the Boss). Da details are up to da twer-Ash's discretion. Anyway, two years ago the truce was set and long story short, we're sorta passive between each othah."
All eyes from those situated down on the ground flicked towards the duo for confirmation receiving a yep smile and a shrug of the shoulders.
Next, there was a clap of hands gathering their attention to the long hair woman, "Now, we have an announcement, so let's get back to that since my fiance was so rudely interrupted." This was definitely a surprise for everyone not part of Team Rocket. Turning back for a brief second James pointed at Manaphy, "After which, you can explain how you have the mythical pokemon, Manaphy, with you."
…
"Eeeeeeeehhhhh!" "PIkaaaaaaa!" "Breeeeee!" "Eeeeoooon!" came the questioning shouts, and bring a proud and very smug grin to appear upon Jessie's lips. "Hahah, behold the lovely bride-to-be! Marvel in my extravagant beauty," Jessie laughed, bringing her hands to frame her face like a model. "Beautiful indeed, my bride-to-be..." agreed the suave voiced James stepping close to Jessie and wrapping an arm around her waist looking at her fondly. Jessie simply smiled with a blush dusting her cheeks. Meowth cheered that he had gotten their reaction on video. Awing at the cuteness, May quickly congratulated them on their engagement jumping into the question about the what, how, when, and where, much to Jessie's glee to share. Okay, sue her, May knew that Team Rocket had been an enemy, but Jessie was a girl too, she was not ashamed to celebrate the other woman's engagement, because it was a beautiful thing regardless of one's occupation. Plus, she also dreamed of the perfect wedding. The ghost/electric type reacted in much of the same way.
Getting up as well, Gary, being the master of socializing, fixed his composure and extended out his hand to James. Yep, thankfully he was able to very well hide his awkwardness and unnerving feeling of being in close proximity to Jessie, especially after recent events. James chuckled before taking the teen's hand, "Thank you." Lastly, was Ash who happily embraced the couple surprising them but oddly enough returned the hug. May couldn't help but think that Ash had been more gleeful lately, even with what had happened earlier that morning. Ash stepped back with a toothy grin, "Congrats guys, I was not expecting to hear that when you called us to meet." 'So, it was them who called Ash, so this wasn't a chance meeting,' both Gary and May thought to themselves.
As the conversation continued Jessie and James kindly invited the group into their base of operations. Pikachu, Umbreon, and Glaceon went off to make friends with the pokemon that lived with Team Rocket. Bewear and Stuffle were the only ones absent as Bewear was out foraging and Stuffle had left to explore the islands. While sitting down at a large round table the rocketeers explained how they were about to leave for their last official mission, that night in fact. They couldn't say much about the mission but they did mention Black City in the Unova region making Gary subtly grimace at the recognition of the city name. Other than that the only info they gave was that it was going to be a very short mission. After, they would be settling down right here in Alola, and begin planning the wedding, much to May's enthusiasm, begging the magenta-haired human to let her in on the planning.
As for Gary, he smiled and conversed but within, and beneath his calm and collected mask he felt pressure over him wondering why Team Rocket was being sent to Black City. Was it undercover infiltration, a distraction? What was Giovanni planning? So, here's the big question May and Gary were asking themselves, 'How are they going to leave Team Rocket?' They were part of the world's most powerful mafia. How would they avoid the, 'Once you're in the only way out is...well, ya know...as a stone cold corpse in a coffin. Very few had managed to free themselves like Cassidy or Delia Ketchum. Gary and May felt a slight tinge of sadness at her memory, before steeling themselves. So, James enlightened them about how it was all thanks to Ash; this got Ash's attention for obvious reasons.
See, our hero had made a secret truce with the infamous leader of Team Rocket and had gotten assistance from Nanu as the man had previous dealings with the mafia. Terms, conditions, and offers were set. Now before yall go and say, "One should negotiate with terrorists," or, "Never make a deal with the devil," remember that at the end of the day in order to maintain some semblance of peace sacrifices must be made. Think of it in two ways: the ends justify the means or the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
Anyway, Ash's request was for the entire region of Alola. its land and waters were not to be trespassed, or occupied by any of the Team Rocket. (Jessie, James, and Meowth being the odd exception) Anyone, native, newcomer, tourist, or anyone who called Alola their place of residence is not to be interfered with by any of Team Rocket. Of course, through Team Rockets' lens not having access to Alola's unique and powerful pokemon was a rather large net loss. Giovanni would need a counteroffer to reimburse said loss in an equal amount. Things were said and done leading to the truce. Long story short Any and All who lived on any of the islands of Alola, even those of temporary residence such as tourists, are under the protection of Alola's Champion and the Alolan Elite Four.
So as a consequence James and Jessie, who will be settling down on Melemele island, are under Ash's protection. "So, inadvertently you gave us our way out, not that we won't miss the life of villainy and crime,' James recited oh so dramatically. Hight shone from above and deep shadows emphasized the looming flare. Raising his sight to Ash he noticed the risen eyebrow looking quite unamused. "Oh, you, I jest, no need for the stink eye," James chuckled.
Gary then spoke, "I still have one question of my own," when they turned in acknowledgment he continued, "If you are both getting married why would you kiss me? No offense Jessie, but why threaten your relationship like that?" Hey, it was a genuine and valid question to which Jessie laughed indignantly with a certain glint in her eye. "Haha, oh you must be joking as if I'd ever go for a twerp such as yourself. You're just not my type." Bearing a blank stare Gary replied, "Twerp…you know you're not much older than I am. Also, I'm Gary fucking Oak, Professor Stud!" Jessie deadpanned for a moment then chose to ignore what he said. "Don't pretend you didny hear me!" "Anywho, you called me crusty, so my womanly pride would not be shamed by the likes of you, plus a little jealousy does wonders for one's nightlife." winking at James who blushed with lust eyes. Gary comically turns green feeling queasy. Much to both Ash's and May's snickering.
"Now, there's one more thing to be said," Meowth chimed in to bring everyone's attention to him, "Twer-Ash let's make dis official." Wide-eyed, the black-haired teen asked the feline if he was sure of this receiving a determined nod. Being so vague about their conversation the other had their interest peeks gazing at the pokemon who had tormented them with annoying one-liners for years. What came next blew everyone away. Instantly, all eyes bulge as large as dinner plates, jaws comedically hit the floor while some freaked out, and others fainted. Ash had gotten up with a special Pokeball in his hand, clicking it to enlarge it. Tossing it at Meowth, it hit the cat's golden coin with a ding, then with a red flash the pokemon was sucked into the Pokeball.
Dropping to the floor the ball consisting of a yellow stripe and button spanning the equator of the ball and a yellow stripe with another red one inside the stripe itself, all top a solid metallic black, shook a few times before clicking with a shot of sparks. Henceforth, let it be known that The talking Meowth once a member of Team Rocket had been caught with a Pokeball belonging to his long-time enemy Ash Ketchum. Meowth of Team Rocket was no more, he was Meowth, of the Champion of Alola.
Grinning Ash picked up the Luxury ball watching the ball glisten in his hand, a few seconds later he let the feline out. Upon release, Meowth dropped to its natural stance on all four and shook his fur that stood on end, "Yeesshh, dat may be a Luxury ball, but I still prefer roughing it out here." Pikachu comes over patting the normal type in solidarity. Meanwhile, no one else uttered a sound as Ash did as he usually did; getting Rotom Dex to read the dex entry.
Bzzt… Meowth, the Scratch Cat Pokemon, Kantonian form, and pure normal type.
Meowth withdraws its sharp claws into its paws to slinkily sneak about without making any incriminating footsteps. It loves shiny things so because of this it is often fighting with Murkrow over prey or shiny objects. Kantonian Meowth, Aloan Meowth, and Galarian Meowth do not get along with each other.
This specific Meowth's special ability is Technician.
Moves currently know areas followers:
-Fury Swipes -Bite
-Scratch -Night Slash
"Not bad, Meowth, bite and Night Slash are pretty good moves." Ash complimented. Beaming with pride Meowth gloated, "Of course, I have good attacks. I'm still a Pokeemon afta all!" Eventually, shock among the humans and their pokemon partners began to return in terms of functionality. Manaphy, looking up to its mother figure with a confused expression so responded May gave a brief summary about how Meowth had always detested the thought of being caught in a Pokeball. "Meowth, what is the meaning of this? You just got caught, captured by the twerpiest of twerps! Do you know what you've even done?!" Jessie demanded far too conflicted about current events. She had run over picking up the small pokemon and shaking him like the madwoman she was. James was in the exact confused state as his girlfriend stepped in, prying Meowth from her grip, "Well, old chum, what Jessie means is why did you let yourself be caught, because you've always been quite adamant about the idea. Why choose now to allow yourself to be captured? Also, we feel hurt that when you decided to be caught, it wasn't by one of us." The confused and hurt smile James gave the scratch cat caused a powerful arrow, no, a lance to pierce right through Meowths heart. Teary-eyed the normal type jumped into the arms of his friends, "My pals, I neva meant to hurt either one of yous. I promise yous were my first choice, it just I have a goal and plan that requires the twerp-er...Ash's assistance. My pals, I just needz you to trust me, okaaay?"
Jessie frowned, studying the cat for a bit before pouting and slumping her shoulders, "Well, you've been with you more than long enough to earn my trust. Just don't come crying to me when you can't take the twerpyness emanating off all three of them." Our heroes pouted when Jessie pointed at them about their, "Twerpyness." Nevertheless, James smiled as he hugged his three closes friends after which he turned to Ash with a glare. "You may have caught Meowth but remember he will always be one of us so you had better take care of him." Fearing for his life Ash replied with a shaky voice hands up in reprieve, "O-Of course...I will. I will treat him with all the respect he deserves as I do with all my pokemon, all my pokemon are my family." With a sharp nod and a confirming hmp James's glare faded.
"Hmm, I'm not sure how I feel about this," May said with a finger to her lip, "I mean, I'm not against this and all it's just gonna have some getting used to." Ain't that the truth. Ash was next to speak, "At the very least I can assure both of you that Meowth still has a say in all decisions concerning his well-being." "What we can tell you is that for the moment this protects Meowth from being caught by someone else; for added security being caught in a Pokeball registered to me means he's capture protected with champion-level encryption." "Dats right, which woiks perfectly for our dangerous mission.
!
"Oh, I just thought of something," Jessie exclaimed as she huddled James and Meowth close, "Think of the added bonus, Meowth you'll have access to the enemy's territory when we get back. (Jessie begins to smile evilly) Ahaha, you'll be able to make the twerp suffer annoyance every waking moment!" "Oh, that is a great idea, Jess. Meowth think about it, with the twerp at such close proximity there is no limit to the evil you could accomplish," the periwinkle-haired man suggested with enthusiasm leaning in and whispering a list of pranks. Meowth and Jessie hold their hand/paw to their mouth snickering with mischievous intent. "Waaaaabaafet!" cried the blue blob with its usual salute. May, for one, flinched because the psychic type had popped out of nowhere, then slumped her head down upon realizing who it was. Slumping in his seat Ash looked at Team Rocket, "You guys know I'm literally right behind you. (Sudden mock rage) Also...PITFALL TRAPS! Who do you think I am?! I won't fall for an obvious pitfall trap." In a flash, all three rocketeers turned to look at the teen with blank faces and spoke in perfect unison.
"You always fell for them, why would it be any different now? It's not like you're any smarter than you were back then." Okay, to say that a tick of anger was growing on Ash was an understatement, "Are you calling me dumb?" "Yes." "Duh." "Meeeowth that's right!" Ash was going to reply but was stopped when Gary took hold of his arm shaking his head from side to side. It was a losing battle and both boys knew it. He told Ash it wasn't worth it and to let it go. Of course, Ash listened to common sense, so with a heavy sigh, he chilled down, but not before rolling his eyes. May giggled sitting beside him and taking his hand in hers with a gentle smile. Ash shook his head with a chuckle leaning closer to her.
Either way, it was time for our friends to take their leave and it would be better to just forget about it. Ash announces that it was probably for the best to be on their way. It was better to leave Jessie, James, and Meowth to prepare for their mission. May and Gary gave the Rocketeers polite goodbye and then made their way out of the hideout. With Ash being the last of our hero's to leave.
Meowth and his two human friends hugged, tears were shed and goodbye was said. As the three embraced Meowth looked up at his two friends with concern. He knew what the mission Jessie and James were about to take entailed. He had lied early to the two twerps, Meowth was not actually going on the mission, instead would stay in Alola for research purposes. If they weren't careful they could be caught and never return. From the information, the boss had given them it was apparent that his favorite pair was about to walk right into the Pyroar's den. James gave his old chum a smile, "Oh, don't give us that look, Meowth. Remember, we're Team Rocket's best. Give us some credit." "I know dat, it's just what dere doing to humans and pokemon…you know what they're getting ready to do." Jessie sighed, "So what if we do, we have to follow orders. Either way, who better for this than us? The more information we get from the laboratories and their stockpiles, the better. If anything, for the sake of all our future. Meowth, when you can, you need to talk to the kid about it. It may help us all."
Now, let it be known that Jessie may be a very dramatic person but at this moment she was by no means trying to sound corny or cliche. Meowth understood though that didn't mean he was not worried considering what had happened to the last group that had gone in. Meowth remembered when they had gotten the mission, they had been debriefed about what had happened to the pair who had infiltrated Black Tower. They had been caught, and things had been done, ending in one managing to escape to report back. That person was in critical condition as we speak. So, the feline's apprehensions were warranted, not to mention whenever in a dangerous situation it had always been the three of them toughing it out together. Nevertheless, Jessie and James finished off with "Things will work out. Trust us."
So here it is after so long as per usual, hope you like it and I hope this chapter feels good to read and not put in randomly. Anyways…
AS THE JOURNEY CONTINUES!
