Several days had passed since the crew had rescued Luffy from the Marine base. They were fortunate that their ship had been hidden enough that it wasn't spotted by the Marines, and they were able to flee the island safely.

It was a warm sunny day, and the crew were going about their day. Luffy was on the upper deck, resting his arms behind his head and staring off into the distance. The wind blew gently through his straw hat, creating a soft rustling sound. He let out a content sigh, enjoying the peaceful moment.

Suddenly, through his haze, Luffy felt a familiar presence approaching him. He looked up and saw Aria making her way towards him. A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

Aria reached him and perched herself on the railing beside him, looking out at the open sea. They sat in comfortable silence for a moment before Luffy spoke up. "It's a pretty nice day, huh?"

Aria nods, feeling the warm breeze through her hair. "It is." she agrees.

Luffy shifted in his position, his gaze lingering on the blue ocean in front of them. After a few moments more, he spoke up again. "Hey, can I ask you something?"

"Of course." she replied, a soft tone in her voice.

There was a slight lull in conversation, as if Luffy was considering his words carefully. "I was just thinking... do you ever miss your old home? Your old life?"

Aria lifted her head a moment, a bit surprised at the question. She wasn't expecting it. "I miss my dad, but apart from that, I don't miss it, if I'm being honest."

Luffy: "Really? Why not?"

Aria: "Well, the town where I grew up was peaceful, quiet. Nothing exciting ever happened, but I was kind of a weird kid. I dreamed of adventure and I had an overactive imagination. I just never felt like I fit in, and I always longed for something more, you know?"

Luffy nods in understanding. "Yeah, I get what you mean. Adventure is great! And it's even better when you have friends to share it with!"

Aria laughed. "That's so true. It's definitely been quite the adventure so far." She reminisces for a brief moment of her time with the Straw Hats over the past few months since she had joined the crew. This really was her home now.

Luffy smiles warmly at her. He could tell she had found her place with the Straw Hat crew and it pleased him. "We're all family here."

She smiles at him and nods her head, casting her gaze back out onto the water. These type of moments with Luffy had become a common occurrence. They frequently found themselves alone together like this, and she'd get the experience a side of him that others don't get to see. Luffy was known for his goofy, cheerful, demeanor, but there were times when they were together, alone, where she got to see a different side entirely. He was so much more than the goofy grinned captain that he was known for. He had a softer side, a vulnerable side, that he seemed to only show especially to her.
