Link wakes up one day in Ordon, hurt and dying with no memory of his past. Unsure what to do, he remains in Ordon to get his bearings. But when danger comes knocking, he finds he has unusual knowledge, skills, and abilities.

2 years after the triumph over Calamity Ganon, Hyrule is at peace. 5 years after the triumph over the Demon King, Hyrule's restoration has sped up. In each of these diverged futures, opportunists work to disrupt the peace. By chance, both futures get connected in an unexpected, chaotic way. With Terrako at the center, both meet each other once more for assistance.

After spending five years stuck in the World of the Ocean King, Link returns to the Great Sea, only to find it changed beyond recognition. With his allies all turned against him, he sets out to reconnect with the one person who may be able to clear his name. Something sinister is rising over the Great Sea-and this time, Link may not be strong enough to stop it on his own.

Link knows he will eventually have to face Demise's Curse, and has been training obsessively for 11 years in preparation. But when the Master Sword is cursed so badly it can't even be put to rest, and monsters are attacking, and the enemy is still nowhere to be found, the Hero and the Princess are left with nothing but unsolvable problems. Zelda once sacrificed herself to save Midna, fading away to nothing in the process. Fortunately, the Twilight Princess managed to later revive her soul, but it seems that her life came with a cost. Uncertain if he had a life to return too, Noah is forced to burden the fate Link left behind while harshly realising Hyrule is not how he remembered it.

Rewritten (2024): Follow Link and Princess Zelda in this semi-slice-of-life story, showcasing the simple bliss of domestic living. Zelda works tirelessly to nurture Link back to health when they find shelter in a shoddy stable directly after the events of Breath of the Wild. At the mercy of the Wilds, they find healing in their growing friendship.

This story about Link's and Mipha's married life together is a direct sequel to the story titled 'A Tale of Two Princesses'. After Ganon's defeat, Link and Zelda settle down and start a family together.
