It is Time

(At the Bakery)

Harry and Bella soon arrived at the bakery. He unlocked the door and let her inside. Once inside he turned on the lights before looking at her.

"Have you ever worked a register before?" He asked.

"I have." She confirmed.

"Good. Then I shall do a quick review before I go back and bake." He said.

"Okay." She said.

Harry gave her a quick review of the register. He then showed her the coffee machine. He quickly opened the bakery before going to the kitchen to begin baking. It didn't take long for customers to come in. They were a little surprised to see Bella but luckily no one tried to cause trouble.

Harry had kept an ear out just in case. He wasn't about to let anyone ruin the progress she had made. Luckily no one did cause trouble. In fact many told her how pleased they were that she was back to her old self.

"How are you dear?" Mike's mom asked.

"I am doing okay." She answered. "Therapy has helped me a lot."

"That's good. Mike told me what happened with Jessica. He hasn't been bullying you, right?" She asked.

"No. He had been one of the few to be on my side. He actually told me he had believed I had a brain injury in the first place. He never believed I had turned into that monster without something being wrong with my brain. He said if it wasn't an injury then it was a tumor." Bella answered honestly.

"Good." That was a relief.

"Him and Angela have been wonderful. They have helped a lot." She admitted.

"That's good." She was proud of her son.

"It is. I do apologize for how I quit. Mike was reluctant to tell me." She said.

According to Mike she had walked into the store and demanded a promotion and a huge raise. When she was told no she told Mike's parents that they were just small town losers and that they could go fuck themselves. She said she was no longer an employee and walked out.

"I am going to admit that incident had upset me but knowing that it wasn't you makes me feel a lot better." She admitted.

"Good." She gave a tiny smile.

"I should stop holding up the line. I'll have a dozen jelly filled powdered donuts, one black coffee, one blueberry cinnamon crumble cake ice coffee, and one green tea. The coffee and teas are large and the ice coffee will be small. Please and thank you." She ordered.

"Okay. That comes to eighteen fifty." Bella told her.

"Here you go." She paid with a twenty dollar bill.

"Here you go. A dollar and fifty cents is your change." She handed the money over.

"Thank you dear." She took the money and the receipt.

"You're welcome." She smiled.

Bella got her order filled and handed it to her. Mike's mom left with a smile. Soon it had been six hours. Bella informed Harry and he thanked her. She turned the camera on so that he could see if he had customers before leaving. She went to the police station to give her dad a cinnamon roll and some coffee.

"Hey dad." She greeted him.

"Oh, hi Bells. What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I just finished my shift at the bakery and brought you something." She said, giving him the roll and coffee.

"Thanks Bella." He smiled and took it.

"You're welcome. I had fun and learned that people are forgiving me." That was a relief.

"That's good." He said, happy about that.

"Yeah. Well I'm going to go meet up with Alice at a diner. Jasper, Emmett, and Rosalie will be there too. Both girls want to talk." She said, feeling nervous.

"Alright. Let me know how it goes." He said.

"I will." She promised. "I love you."

"I love you too." He smiled at that.

Bella left and went to a popular diner. She ordered a burger, fries, and a she had her food she sat down at the booth the others were already populating. Bella felt really awkward and nervous. Jasper picked up on those emotions and helped her to calm down.

"Thank you, Jasper." She said.

"You're welcome Bella."

"I do want to apologize to you all. My behavior was appalling. I am so glad I am back to my normal self." She told them.

"No need to apologize." Rose said. "We are just relieved that the Bella that acted that way wasn't the real Bella."

"Thank you. Oh and thank you for thinking of my father. I heard that I was really excited to become like you and leave him behind." She said, remembering that they were in public.

"You're welcome." She smiled at that.

"Did you really want to break up with Edward, despite them ordering you to become one of us?" Emmett asked.

"Yeah. I realized that I wasn't his mate. I knew I was going to have to be a vampire but I was hoping that could wait and I knew I couldn't be with Edward." She admitted.

"You wanted to wait?" Emmett wasn't the only one shocked.

"Yeah. That day we came back from Italy and you found out I listened to you all talk. Rosalie brought up my parents and I felt like an ass. I never thought about my parents at all. I have always put my mom first and for once I never thought about her. You also talked about my father caring about me and how happy he was that I stayed. You mentioned that he was hurt that I stayed for Edward and not him. It made me think and I realized that I made my dad a reluctant parent and really I should have tried since he did." She said.

"Wow." Emmett mouthed.

"I'm glad you heard that." The blonde female was stunned.

"Yeah. I made him a bad guy for not wanting to leave Forks but never realized or saw that he came to see me and spent time in a place he wasn't comfortable with just to spend time with me. I wanted to spend as much time as I could before they decided I had to change." She said.

"I respect that." She said.

"Me too." Alice agreed.

"Thank you." She blushed. "I did hear that my actions affected Alice and Edward and I still can't help but feel guilty. My therapist has been helping me but the guilt just won't go away." Bella revealed.

"As the person affected I can say that I don't blame you. I do apologize that during that time I helped to make it worse." Alice told her.

"I needed to hear that." She said, "As for your apology, well I do appreciate it but know that I don't blame you either." She wasn't going to wave the apology away because she knew how that felt.

"Thank you." She said.

"You're welcome."

"I would like to apologize as well." Rosalie said.

"Why would you need to apologize?" Bella asked in confusion.

"I know you don't remember but I was so angry at you three I was a massive bitch and showed how mad I was at every chance I could. I never saw the signs until my dad told us." She admitted.

"Oh." That made sense.

"I appreciate the apology. I hope this period of our lives have taught us something and we can actually be friends."

"I would like that." She gave a genuine smile.

"Great." She gave a genuine smile back.

"Are you scared?" Emmett asked. "They are coming."

"If Harry wasn't around I would be." She answered.

"Oh?" That was a surprise to them all.

"Oh yeah. He's a very powerful person and is protective of his loved ones. I know our relationship is new, especially with the fact I am back to my old self, but I know he loves my dad and he likes me. He is going to make sure Charlie and I are okay." She answered.

"He does seem like a great person. You know he makes specialty baked goods we can eat as well as giving us a place to order food." Jasper said.

"Oh yeah. He told me that on the way to the bakery. He gave me a part-time job there." She revealed.

"That's cool." Emmett said. "I'll be seeing you then. I love that place. His little brother is awesome."

"Teddy likes you too. I was surprised that Jacob was okay with it but not surprised either since Jacob doesn't hate you." She said.

"I was worried at first but then he explained and he gained my respect. If he didn't want me to hang with the little dude I would have respected that." He said.

Jacob had told Emmett that he never hated them. He was cautious because they were vampires. He was also so scared to be near people due to himself being a shifter. He trusted the Cullens since they risked so much for the family and to save Bella. He knew they would never purposely harm anyone. He just wanted them to hang out in a public place. Harry had also wished that. Emmett understood and respected that.

"That's great. I look forward to seeing you there." Bella said.

Before more could be said Alice gasped.. Jasper was quick to hold her hand. They all knew she had a vision. They waited to see if she would say anything and they didn't have to wait long.

"It is time." She said, "They changed plans and are arriving tomorrow."
