Good News

(With Renee and Bella)

Bella watched in concern as her mom ran to the toilet once more. This was her third trip to the bathroom. Her mom had come to visit her and they had been in Bella's room. They were talking about which college was the best fit for her but their talk was interrupted a few times. Those times being when Renee turned green and fled to the bathroom to puke.

The brunette stood and went to her mom. She rubbed her back and made sure her hair was out of the way. When her mom finished puking she handed her a wit washcloth and a glass of water. She looked at her mom in concern.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"I think so. I probably caught a stomach bug." She answered.

"You should visit the doctors just in case." She said.

"If I am still throwing up in two days I will." She said.

"Phil said you have been puking for two days already." Bella said. "If you are still puking tomorrow you are going."

"You know I am the mother here, right?" She looked at her daughter, annoyed.

"Yes but I know how much you hate the doctors and I will trick you if I have to." She said.

Her mom's response was sticking her tongue out. Bella shook her head and helped her mom off the floor. Renee brushed her teeth before they went back to Bella's room. She was unaware that the teen sent a quick text to her step-father to let him know what happened. She also let Harry and Charlie know as well.

"I am so proud of you." Her mom said.

"What?" She looked at her.

"For a while I was worried. You never seemed interested in anything. Now you want to be a tutor." She said.

"Thanks mom." She blushed.

"You're welcome." She smiled.

Knock Knock.

They both looked to see that it was Teddy. The wizard smiled at them as he held up a tray of goodies. Bella went over and grabbed them.

"Thanks Teddy. Did you make these?" She asked, knowing that Harry was teaching him.

"I did!" He excitedly said. "I want to make Claire cupcakes for her tea party. Harry says they're good."

"Well thank you for sharing them. What's this?" She asked, looking at the covered bowl.

"Ginger Snaps. Big brother said that they were for Renee. He heard you puking." He answered.

"That was nice of him." Renee said. "I'll have to thank him."

Bella smiled before giving the ginger snaps to her mom. She then took a cupcake for herself. Teddy waited to see how she liked them. They were vanilla with strawberry frosting and sprinkle. She took a bite and loved it. She looked at Teddy and grinned.

"These are delicious." She complimented.

"Really?" He looked so happy.

"Yes really." She said.

"Yes!" He cheered.

"Claire and her guests are going to love these." She said.

"Good. How are you feeling?" He asked the only adult in the room.

"I am feeling a lot better, thank you." She smiled.

"I will let Harry know." He said. "You're welcome." He left.

"How did Harry know?" She looked at her daughter.

"He could probably hear you. He is in the kitchen." She reminded her.

"Uh-huh." She didn't believe that.

"Aren't you glad he knows though?" She asked.

"Yes." She sighed.

"Good." She smiled.

"So?" She looked at her.

"What?" Bella was confused.

"Colleges? Which ones do you prefer?" She asked.

"Oh that." She held up four. "These four have really great teaching programs as well as being affordable." She sadi.

"Honey-" Bella cut her off.

"I know that I can apply for financial aid and scholarships but there is more involved than just school finances. I am thinking more of food costs, clothing, and other things. They offer on campus jobs and they are close to other jobs that I could get." She explained.

"I see." She smiled, proud that her daughter was thinking about these things.

"I will apply and see what happens." She said.

"Good." She smiled.

"Yup. Thanks for the help mom."

"You're welcome." She hugged her daughter.

(In the Kitchen)

Harry looked up when Teddy reentered the kitchen. The younger male sat down and pouted. They both knew what was wrong with Renee but Harry refused to let Teddy reveal it. That upset Teddy until Harry explained why. Now he was pouting because he was excited but couldn't reveal why. Harry handed him some juice.

"I hate this." He said.

"I know but most people can't smell pregnancy." He said.

"I know. I'm kinda afraid I am going to accidentally reveal it." He sighed.

"Oh Teddy. I plan on having her see the doctor tomorrow." Harry told him.

"Oh?" He looked at him.

"She plans to come to the bakery tomorrow to pick out a cake for her husband. Phil is coming down for a visit tomorrow and she wants to surprise him. On the way back I plan on taking her to Carlisle." He said.

"Oh good." He breathed out a sigh of relief.

"I know cub. Having a sensitive sense of smell sucks." He chuckled.

"It does." He went back to pouting.

"Just be glad you never dealt with a teenage Sirius Black. From what your dad told me, that was horrible." He laughed.

"Oh?" He loved hearing stories about Remus.

"Your dad told me that he was horny from his third year until he was way past graduating." He said.

"Ew. Poor dad." He said.

"I thought so. There were times he hid away just to get his nose a rest from it." He laughed.

"You'll teach me that spell that will dull my scenes, right?" He asked.

"Of course. Your mom was the one to teach him. She had taught him the spell because Sirius was so childish he would purposely get horning and sit right next to Remus." He shook his head.

"Why?" Teddy asked.

"Well, thanks to the years in Azkaban his mind was very messed up. He never grew up and with his mind being so messed up it led to childish things. The Dementor potion was only created five years ago. Severus and Lord Malfoy worked for years to create it. Before that there wasn't much anyone could do. Plus Sirius never fully forgave Remus for never believing him." He explained

"Oh but didn't Dumbledore gave Remus evidence that Sirius was guilty?" He asked.

"Yes but no one knew until the man died. You have to remember, cub, that no one learned about Dumbledore's crimes until after I moved to America with you. Sirius and Remus died before either learned the truth." Harry reminded him.

"That's right." He really hated that old man.

"At least we know and Dumbledore can't do any more harm." He said.

"That's true."

The two stopped talking about Dumbledore and instead talked about Remus and Tonks. Charlie came home and they had dinner before Renee left. Eventually the four went to bed. The next day Harry picked up Renee. He could see that she wasn't looking well. He pretended to ignore it as he took her to the hospital.

"Um, this is the hospital." She said,

"I am well aware of that," Harry said.

"Bella told you." She groaned.

"She did but I already knew that something was going on with you." He said, "Plus you look terrible."

"Hey!" She was offended like that.

"I'm sorry but you are pale and I can see you barely slept. I already let Carlisle know I was bringing you in. Don't make me carry you." He gave her a look.

"Fine." She pouted.

"Thank you." He said and they two exited the car.

"Hmph." She scowled at him.

Harry rolled his eyes and the two walked inside. Carlisle was already waiting for them. Harry sat in the waiting room as Renee was checked out. Harry had already informed the vampire that she was pregnant. The blonde didn't need the warning since he too could smell the baby. It didn't take that long for a smiling Renee to return to Harry.

"I'm assuming from the smile everything is okay?" He asked.

"Yes." She grinned.

"Good. That will put Bella at ease." He said.

"Yes. Well, let's go get that cake." She said.

"Okay." He stood to leave.

"You aren't going to ask?" She asked, surprised.

"No. If you wanted me to know you would have already told me." He answered.

"Thank you." She said.

"You're welcome." He said.

The two went back to the car and Harry drove them to the bakery. The two entered and Renee looked through the cakes. She soon found the perfect one. She even bought a gel pen to write on it. Harry took her back to her hotel room and he went back to the bakery. He wondered if she knew that she had been smiling the whole time and had a hand on her stomach as well.

'At least she is happy about it.' He thought.

(Later that Night)

Phil had arrived at the hotel. His wife let him into their room. He was surprised to see her all dressed up. A nice candle lit dinner was set up. He smiled and kissed her. He wondered what was going on. As much as he loved Renee, this wasn't something she did unless she had big news.

"What is going on?" He asked.

"You will see." She grinned.

"Okay."

Phil showered and changed before they ate dinner. Renee grinned and grabbed the cake. She placed it down and let him read what she wrote. He gasped at the words before him and looked at her.

"You're pregnant?!" He asked in shock.

"Yes." She explained what happened.

"I was so worried." He said before grinning. "This is wonderful news." He hugged and kissed her.

"I know." Her grin widened.

"When do you want to let everyone know?" He asked.

"I plan on telling Bella tonight. Everyone else will learn after I start my second trimester." She answered.

"Okay." He smiled down at her.

"Ready for some cake?"

"I am."

(The Next Day)

Bella was worried. Her mom had asked her to meet at her hotel room. She knew her mom was sick and was already expecting the worst. She knew Harry took her to the hospital yesterday but he revealed that he didn't know what Carlisle had told her. She knew he took his job as a doctor seriously and wouldn't tell her. She tried asking her mom but she said she would tell her at the hotel.

She soon arrived and found Phil and Renee waiting. She was asked to sit down. She did calm down a little since the two had huge smiles on their faces.

"What is going on?" She asked.

"We have some news to share. Really good news." Her mom answered.

"Okay." That was a relief.

"I'm pregnant." She announced.

"What?" Bella stared at them in shock.

"You are going to be a big sister." She said.

"Oh my God! Congratulations!" Bella hugged them.

"I'm so glad you are okay with this." Phil said.

"I always wanted a brother or sister," She admitted.

"Well, you will need to keep this quiet. I want to wait until my second trimester to announce it." Her mom said.

"Okay." She readily agreed.

"Great."

After that Bella took them out for lunch. Her mom had to take some pills before she was able to eat. They hung out most of the day before Bella went home. She was happy that her family was expanding. She would soon learn that the good news wasn't over yet. After dinner her dad and Harry sat her down in the living room. Teddy was in his room reading.

"Is everything okay?" She asked.

"Yes. We promised to keep you informed about the case going on." Her dad said

"Please tell me they caught the person!" She begged.

"They did." He said.

"It turns out Bellatrix Lestrange did indeed have a child. This child was hidden away before Bellatrix and her husband were arrested. This child was a girl that was raised by a loyal death eater. She was supposed to be Voldemort's bride once he won the war." Harry explained.

"Ew!" Bella cringed, knowing that Voldemort was way older than the child.

"Yes, well, after her parents' death she received her inheritance. Now she wanted revenge and wanted to test out some artifacts she had inherited. The bracelet was given to a muggle in California. She ended up getting killed by the kid she had bullied. Her next test was a squib." He said.

"Me." Bella said.

"Yes." Her father said. "Apparently she did a lot of research so that she could send you the bracelet. You lasted a lot longer than the other. After you were going to be a muggleborn, a half-blood, a pure-blood, then a were-wolf. She was hoping to use Teddy to kill Harry."

The two could see how pissed off that made Harry. No one messed with his baby brother. That witch was lucky she was arrested before Harry knew what her plan was. Harry took a deep breath before continuing.

"Anyway, that British auror that claimed that the bracelet belonged to the British magical government was in on it. Turns out he was the child of a death eater and the girl's lover. Kingsley became suspicious of him and had him investigated. That was how this was all found out. They have all been arrested. Since the crimes happened here in America, Kingsley has sent them here to be prosecuted. You will have to testify but have no fear. Not only will your father and I be there but they will have magical cuffs that dampen their magic." He told her.

"Wow." She blinked.

"I know." Her father hugged her.

"At least now I know I am safe." She said.

"Indeed."

"Thank you Harry." She suddenly said.

"Huh? For what?" He was very confused.

"Well, that bracelet was sent to me before we met. If you hadn't moved to town and fallen for my father I would most likely still be that nasty person or worse dead. So thank you." She explained.

"Um, you're welcome. It's my luck." He said.

"Does mom know?" She asked.

"No. We wanted to tell you first." Charlie said.

"Okay. Well I am going to call her and let her know." She said.

"Okay honey." Her dad said before she left.

"It's okay Charlie." Harry said, hugging him.

"I'm honestly relieved. This case is actually being put to rest. My daughter is safe." He said.

"True, very true." He smiled. "Why don't you watch some tv while I check on Teddy." He said.

"Okay."
