HI EVERYONE! ;u; I WOULDN'T NORMALLY DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS, but I wanted to tell you guys about my lack of updates, just in a futile attempt to try to keep as many of my readers as I can. ^^ I KNOW THAT THERE'S A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO STOP READING STORIES THAT AREN'T ACTIVELY UPDATED, SO YEAH

Also, if you're anything like me, and check almost every day to see if your favorite stories have an update, and then get utterly disappointed when they don't – then I'd like to relieve your disappointment with this message.

I WAS SUPPOSED TO POST THIS SEVEN DAYS AGO

BUT I GOT BUSY

I was distracted by THINGS, like crazy things and news and hot anime pictures THAT YOU FIND HIDDEN ON YOUR FRIENDS' dAs and the sky. -w- The sky is so pretty today, you can see the bright crescent moon amongst the leafless trees, with a small shining star trailing off, midway between the moon and the horizon. At first I thought it was an airplane, BUT I JUST THINK IT'S A TWINKLING STAR BECAUSE I SAW THE BIG DIPPER THE OTHER NIGHT

Or was that Ursa Minor? :O Anyhoo, the star is fading in and out – absolutely beautiful, and the horizon is tinged with those last stains and traces of amber, from the gorgeous sunset. Okay, moving on~

OKAY OKAY as some of you guys might know, I have an original novel that I've been working on since last November, and I have to complete it by Christmas – judging from things, I'm a tad behind, heh heh. For that reason, I'm taking another hiatus to finish it off – completing it, hopefully, with a glossary and manga illustrations. Of course, I've got 30 days – that's tons of time right? ^w^

That means I'll be occupied for the next month, and I usually give myself a week or two to 'cool off' or relax my mind after the stressful writing, meaning that my next update will be sometime during December. I want to update at least one more time before the end of the year, but that all depends on how things go; everything's been so unpredictable, this year!

I just want to let you guys know that this story is not over – it's not even started yet! I want it to be the best OC-based Sonic fanfiction ever, and I hope it will be; it's just going to take a little while longer. I'm going to tell you guys a few stories!

I remember a long time ago, there were two things that I wanted to write a fanfiction for: something that makes people happy, and something where I could work with tons of other people, and something where the fans could really interact with it. That's three. Oh well! ^^ I went through tons of ideas – and believe me, the original 'Colors Fade' concept was far from what this story is today; it was a sci-fi idea about two planets, one full of highly saturated color, and one completely black-and-white, monochromatic. OF COURSE, IT WAS A LOVE STORY .

But then I realized that I wanted to write action, crime, things like that – and I wanted wonderful 'actors', characters that were mine, and ones that were not. Today, CF makes me so happy – FF has hosted some of the best friends I've ever had; everyone is so kind and caring and wonderful. 3 There's something immensely spectacular about being able to write about others' characters – instead of writing a fanfiction only about the canons 'to SEGA' in a way, I feel like I'm also writing a fanfiction for the fans. With others' OCs, it's not like any other story, where you can make and tweak every single character for your special needs – you're given an appearance, a personality, a pre-made character. They're not going to be able to be adapted to every single plot, every single moment – you don't build the characters around the story, you get to build the story around the characters. And that is a very unique – and I feel, one of the most special – ways of writing.

I get to make people happy, the readers, and the writers who let me use their characters. It's still a Sonic fanfiction – and I get to make myself happy by allowing myself to play out all the fantasies and ideas I have for the canons, just with a somewhat bigger cast to spice things up. I don't only get to work with tons of people; I get to work with THE MOST AWESOME CAST OF CHARACTERS EVER! OuO

And I hope that the fans can interact, too – I'm always welcome to suggestions and the such, and since a lot of you guys have OCs in this story, I ALWAYS WELCOME SUGGESTIONS/TIPS/ETC. FOR ME TO ATTEMPT TO PERSONIFY YOUR CHARACTERS AS WELL AS I CAN! ^^

ANOTHER STORY *o* Did you guys know that I used to daydream about anonymous reviews? xD I used to just lay down on my bed and stare up at the ceiling or at the window, and start musing, "Someday, I'll have an anonymous review from someone I've never known before!" And then I remember that I used to tell my sister than that I really wanted an anonymous reviewer. AND NOW, I HAVE AN ANONYMOUS REVIEWER

This story has been everything I ever wanted – and I have readers in Denmark, Australia, the U.S., and according to my traffic graph, China! ^^ AHHHH, IF ANYONE IS READING THIS, PLEASE COME SAY HI IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY! :,D I love making new friends, ahh, I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND! 3

Okay, enough blabbering – off onto dates! ^^ I think it'd be best to not check back here until December 1st – it will be at least until then before the possibility of a new update. December 15th is the current release date I have for chapter 3.3, but judging from how slow I work, and how much I love (WELL, NOT TO BE NARCISSTIC – I JUST REALLY LIKE IT COMPARED TO THE OTHER CHAPTERS) this chapter (if I enjoy it, I often take longer to edit it because I go OCD .) it could be anywhere from right before Christmas, all the way to the week between Christmas and New Year's. I want to update before the end of the year, though, so we'll see! As for the question "When will this fanfiction become your main project?", my answer is 2014. I won't have that many RPs, and my original work will be finished, so unless I embark on the rocky journey to a sequel, I should be free for the whole of 2014. ;u; I'm hoping to get all of my stuff together, and update with Chapter Four by my birthday in February, and then after that, I'm aiming for smooth sailing of monthly updates – and I might even have a special month in which there will be weekly updates! SO YES, LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR! *o*

Alas, I want to thank everyone for their reviews and support; I think that this fanfiction will be great, and I can't wait to continue it! Best wishes until then, everybody! Arigato Gozaimashita, see you guys next update!
