In Ella's apartment, she was dancing around the place to try to exercise while trying to avoid knocking anything over, as she had in the past. This time, she was in her bedroom, where nothing of that sort could happen. As opposed to her regular outfit, she was wearing a magenta leotard and tutu, while having pink tights underneath all that.

While she danced, the doorbell rang. "A friend came to the door as I danced, so with a leap, I advanced!" She sang, landing right in front of the door after a twirl and a leap. Unfortunately, as her feet touched the ground, she slipped on a toy mouse, causing her to fall on her butt. "Eep!"

"Oh, goodness! My, I need to watch where I'm going!" She dusted herself off and opened the

door to see her friend Sky.

"Oh my stars! Welcome to my home, Sky! But, ah, make sure to watch your step! Apologies for the mess around here."

"It's okay, Ella! Don't worry. I didn't really expect that from you, though." Sky mentioned as she entered.

"Ah, well, it's mostly all the cat toys I buy for Mittens! Some people say I spoil him a tad too much, aha!" The princess explained. "I often trip over them while doing ballet for fun or to stay fit!"

"Oh, that's nice and all, Ella. That's a good way to keep your legs fit, but you won't see much progress otherwise."

"Oh, that's very true! If you don't mind, perhaps you could teach me!" The princess then put her hands together and closed her eyes happily as she thought of something. "Then when Sammy and I talk again, I can pick her up just like she does to me when I ask for it!" She blushed as she recalled the cute act, then shook her head to bring herself back to reality.

"Sure, Ella! I'd be happy to help." The athlete responded. "Meet me at my house tomorrow morning, and I'll get you started on my training program. I'm glad you've taken an interest in this!"

The next morning, the princess was seen ringing the doorbell of the athlete's home. Unlike her normal skirt and blouse, she was wearing something much more suitable for athletics - some black shorts with a white waistband, pink sneakers, and a small, sleeveless pink shirt that left her stomach exposed. Her hands were bare instead of having gloves like they normally did, but her headband was still on her head.

Sky opened the door. "Hey, Ella! I'm glad you came here." She stepped aside to allow her friend to enter, and she did.

"What shall we begin with today?" The songbird sweetly asked.

"I appreciate your enthusiasm! But we're not gonna do this here." The olympian led Ella over to another room, which contained gym mats, a treadmill, some punching bags, weights, and a lot of other pieces of gym equipment.

Ella marveled at all of this. "My, you're quite prepared!"

Sky simply chuckled. "You've gotta be if you wanna make your dream a reality! It all gets used at at least some point during the year."

"I wish you the best of luck in accomplishing that!"

"Thank you!" Sky replied, before turning the conversation to the task at hand. "For someone with your activity level, I think starting with some push-ups is the way to go. Just lie down flat on one of the mats, put your hands on the floor, and try to push yourself up with your arms."

"Okay!" The princess attempted to do so, but she appeared to struggle with getting herself off the ground. She grunted as her arms wobbled. She was by no means out of shape, but ballet and things related to it focused far more on her legs than her arms! Eventually, she managed to get one done! However, her back popped at the same time, causing her to yelp in pain and grab it with her hands, which in turn made her flop onto the ground. "One…" She groaned.

Once Sky made sure Ella was okay and had recovered, the two were seen at a treadmill. After the athlete explained how it worked, the songbird stepped on it and turned it on. Unfortunately, she forgot to turn the speed down at all, so she audibly squeaked in surprise and sprinted to keep up with the treadmill, holding onto the handles for dear life.

"Ella, turn it down! It's set to my speed, not yours!" Sky warned. The singer didn't reply verbally, but she reached for the controls. Her hand creeped over the down arrow button, but she didn't make it in time, losing her grip on the remaining handle and cartoonishly flying into the wall opposite of the treadmill, simply moaning in pain.

The athlete ran off and returned with an ice pack after a few minutes while Ella sat against the wall she crashed into to rest. Sky patted her shoulder sympathetically. "Sorry about all of the injuries you've gotten…"

"It's alright." Ella weakly smiled. "Would you, ah, like me to continue?"

The olympian shook her head. "Don't worry about that. Go home and rest. Try learning from books or following examples from TV shows, then we can continue when you think you're ready, okay?"

The singer nodded. "Alright. I'll, um, see you later then!" With a mutual wave, Ella was out the door.

That afternoon, after Ella had taken a nap while still in her slightly more athletic wear, she sat on her couch with her beloved Mittens on her lap.

"This working out thing isn't… ah, working out." She giggled at her own pun. "No matter! I shall take Sky's advice and learn!" As her friend suggested, she turned the TV on to a channel with weightlifting tips. However, right now, commercials were playing.

The television depicted a rather large and buff man. "Hey, you! Wimp!" He called out, pointing at the screen. "Are you too much of a wimp to work out?"

Ella knew the man on the TV couldn't hear her, but she still spoke anyways. "Well, no, I'm just… ah, well…"

"Built just like a dainty little princess?" The guy spoke over her, causing her to close her mouth and listen, intimidated yet morbidly curious as to where this was going. "Well, now you too can have muscles!"

The dude reached down and grabbed a box, not dissimilar to one you would see trash bags in. "With Anchor Arms!" He put a skin-color, rubber object on his arm. "They slip on like a glove! Just add air!"

The camera then zoomed in on his arm, revealing a knob with multiple settings. "How do you want 'em?" He asked, turning it as he listed the options. "Normal? Massive? Veiny? Or for the ladies…" He winked. "Hairy!"

A wolf whistling sound effect was played. A smaller-looking man with glasses was then shown on-screen. "I was a wimp before Anchor Arms! Now I'm a jerk and everybody loves me! So order now, ya wimp!"

Another, more tasteful commercial appeared after that, but Ella simply turned off the television in disgust. "Goodness, who would want to pretend to have large arms? That's far too immoral!"

But as Ella turned away, she had a thought. "That man believed he was stronger with those arms."

She then looked through boxes in her closet. "Perhaps if I had something like that, I would feel stronger than ever." She had a goal in mind - she wasn't going to fake anything, but she was sure going to try to make herself believe she felt stronger somehow.

Digging through a box, she gently placed the items next to herself on the floor with a series of negatory responses. A watch, a pack of fresh batteries, and a hairbrush were all set aside. After, she withdrew a unicorn plushie. "Oh, there she is! I've been looking for her!" Ella shook her head. She was getting distracted.

Then, at the very bottom of the container, she found something that just might help her out. It was a headband that she saw other professional athletes use sometimes. It was a bit silly, but… maybe this could help her feel like she was a bit stronger!

The next day, Ella was at the beach in her mermaid-style swimsuit, with the athletic headband around her head. There was a new air of confidence surrounding the girl. She happily skipped along down the shore until approaching the juice bar.

As she entered the building, she felt someone bump into her from behind. "Oh, excuse me!" They said at once, but then Ella realized who exactly this was. She gasped in excitement. "My, what a coincidence! What brings you here, Sky?"

"I decided to challenge myself by running down the beach and back, which is a bit longer than I usually run for. This is where I started, so I'm ending here too." The athlete explained, who was sporting a purple one-piece swimsuit. Her sneakers were still on, but she quickly discarded them for the time being, as they were no longer needed.

"That sounds a bit tiring!"

"I dunno if I'd call it that. I'd call it more invigorating." Sky then turned the conversation over to Ella. "You seem a bit more confident with the way you're standing!

"Oh, yes, I have!" Ella closed her eyes and put her hands to her chest in joy. "I believe it was a matter of confidence in that! I usually am fairly alright in that regard, but I found this headband around my head that feels like it helps! I got the idea after watching an ad."

The princess smiled and gave her friend a hug, managing to lift her off the ground.

This shocked Sky. "Whoa, hey, where's this coming from?" She chuckled, though she was somewhat proud of her friend. "If you're strong enough to lift me, then whatever you're doing must be working."

Ella grinned proudly, but she didn't add anything.

Considering the lack of a response, Sky continued speaking. "Hey, if you're up to it, there's a contest to see who can throw a sandbag the farthest!"

"Ooh, that sounds like fun!" Ella clapped close to her chest. "When will it be?"

"It should be pretty soon. Come on, I'll take you to the sign-ups!"

The scene then cut to the two girls standing in a line with three other people, with a few lanes that were separated by drawn lines. Ella was especially impressed by them, as they had just kept slowly one-upping each other. The first man had thrown it 50 feet, the second got it 57 feet, and the last person managed to get the sandbag 70 feet across.

"And next up, Sky! Show us what you've got!" An announcer called out from the speakers.

The olympian picked up her sandbag, did a couple spins, and tossed it. It seemed to land somewhere between the furthest and second furthest bags, even if, like Ella, Sky didn't use her arms as much as her legs. The difference was how the latter was a gymnast, though.

A person with a measuring tape ran onto the field. "63 feet!" She informed before running back off the lines. As per usual, the crowd and fellow contestants clapped and cheered for Sky.

"Let's finish things strong from newcomer, Ella!" The announcer grandly introduced, somewhat flattering her as she picked her own sandbag up and prepared for the throw.

"Sorry, Mr. Sandbag." She picked it up and tossed it, but the sandbag only went a few inches in front of her.

"Ooh, looks like someone lost their mojo today." The announcer quipped. He then listed off the results, but Ella did not clap. Instead she walked away from the area with Sky, feeling dejected.

The scene then cut to Sky and Ella outside of the latter's apartment. The princess was carrying a bar with two grocery bags on it, with the athlete hyping her up as she did so.

"That's it, Ella! Come on, you can get all of them!"

Despite her pants because of the heavy bar and groceries, Ella kept going. "Only four more trips to go!"

"I think we've finally found a workout that works for you!"

As soon as the olympian finished speaking, the singer bonked into the doorway, making the groceries, bar, and girl herself fall to the ground as the bar landed on top of her.

A/N: I have no idea if these numbers are actually realistic for how far a sandbag can be thrown. I looked it up but found no answer. The other author also was the one with the idea for that. This was another hard episode to plot, but we somehow managed to make it somewhat similar to canon with having the "faking it isn't the same as making it" moral, so I'm kinda proud of that.
