Scaredy Pants: A parody of Scaredy Pants from SpongeBob SquarePants with Total Drama characters.
Disclaimer for the series: Some (though far from all) chapters will contain moments of nudity or underwear due to the canon SpongeBob episodes' plots and gags, though it won't be anything that wouldn't happen in TD or SpongeBob. Credits to another user on FF for letting us use their idea, and another for their cast idea who wishes to remain anonymous. Some episodes may also take massive strays from canon in order for things to work. Feel free to leave a review, follow, or favorite if you enjoy it!
Ella was washing dishes in the Smoothie Clean. A light flickered until it shut off, making her gasp until taking a look up and seeing that the light bulb just needed to be replaced. "Oh, aha! Silly me…" She tilted her head, put a hand over her heart, and forced a smile.
She had always been quite jumpy at this time of year, which wasn't helped by the fact that she was easy to scare in the first place. She truly did love holidays, and that included Halloween, but goodness, everything scared her so much!
As she continued to wash up, the princess heard an unnerving squeak coming from the order window. She looked up at it, worried. It spun until facing her, revealing the word "boo" on three papers in red, capital text. It looked far creepier with the lack of lighting. Hurriedly, the singer sped through the rest of the dishes, quickly put them away in the cabinet, and left the kitchen faster than she ever had, sprinting towards the door. "H-have a good evening, everyone!"
As she went to leave, she was stopped in her tracks by Chris. "Hey, don't you wanna hear a story before you leave?"
"Oh, ah, alright. I-it's not a scary story, is it?"
"No." He answered, making Ella sigh in relief. "It's a terrifying one!"
"Oh dear…" The princess responded. "Well, I suppose I already agreed, so, I'll, ah…" She took a seat in a nearby chair as Chris activated a flashlight and held it up to his face.
"Long ago, there was a chick called Ronnie. She was a rent-a-cop for this very district."
Ella clasped her face in fear.
"Until one, really bummer day, she got run over by a delivery truck."
Ella gasped, teeth chattering in dread. She would be biting her nails, but she was wearing gloves like always. She rocked back and forth as her boss continued the story.
"Now, every Halloween night, she comes back to haunt Smoothie Clean's employees, following them everywhere they go… so she can take their soul!" Chris held up a packet of sugar, causing the singer to cower.
"Do… do souls look like sugar?!"
"Only pure ones like yours, her favorite targets." The songbird gulped. "And you never know when she's gonna get ya!"
Right as Chris finished that sentence, a mannequin dressed in a woman's police outfit sprung up right behind Ella. She screamed loud enough to break all the nearby windows, and jumped up to the ceiling like a cat.
As she did so, Chris burst out laughing at the situation. "Oh, man, you get easier to scare every day! It's just a mannequin, dude!" He took the hat off of it, revealing its white, shiny head. "Hope you're not too scared to leave your house tonight!"
Her heart still pounding, Ella landed back down on the floor with a grunt. "Well, ah, h-have a good evening!" She repeated, still not mad - just terrified - and left.
Back at her house, Ella was carving a pumpkin to have a cute little smile and finished just as someone knocked on her door. "Oh, that must be Sammy!" She told Mittens, who was wearing a small purple orange pumpkin hat with a green stem, along with a matching orange shirt that looked just like the pumpkin he and his owner stood before.
She opened the door and immediately got frightened by Sammy's costume. She wore a black witch hat with a purple trim, along with a black dress and black boots.
"Oh, dear goodness!" The princess exclaimed, jumping up to the ceiling as she got her pants literally scared off of her. She was clutching onto the rafters of her house, just like she was at work.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Sammy apologized, walking underneath her lover. "Here, I'll catch you." Ella dropped down, landed in her arms, and kissed Sammy on the cheek, which she grinned at. The twin then handed her skirt back and respectfully tried to look away from her underwear, mostly succeeding. Mostly.
"My apologies. I hadn't expected you to be in a costume just yet."
"It's alright. Do you have one yet? I wanted to go somewhere with you tonight, which is why I'm in one."
"Oh, yes, one moment."
Without putting her skirt back on, the singer left to find her costume and came back wearing it. She had a simple black cat suit, whiskers drawn on her face, and cat ears. "Meow." She joked, making her girlfriend giggle.
"You look adorable." Sammy smiled.
"As do you, even if it's a bit frightening." Ella took hold of her lover's hand. "What would you like to do on this Halloween night?"
"I was going to tour around the block tonight. Amy's brought all her friends to the house, and I really don't feel like being around Heather or Dakota right now."
"Did they do anything to you?"
"Well, um..." Sammy was going to mention something that happened a week or so ago, but decided it wasn't worth explaining. She shrunk down in embarrassment, remembering all the hazing she had been put through.
The princess realized this and quickly moved the conversation along. "So, ah, do you mean trick or treating then? I haven't done that since I was sixteen or so."
"Well, I… probably still would if I didn't get made fun of for doing it, but… there's an event about walking through a haunted house with a bunch of Halloween stuff."
"Oh, it's not scary, is it?"
"I mean, most of it is just some plastic with ketchup everywhere. I'm sure you can handle something like tha-"
Sammy then saw Ella lying on the floor, looking pale, well, more than normal. "Um, I… I guess not then."
She scooped her lover up, bridal style, which brought the princess back to reality. "Ah, well, if we are going there… is it alright if I hold your hand the whole time?"
The blonde giggled as her cheeks turned pink. "Aww, y-yeah, that's fine. What do your princess stories say again? The, uh, brave knights having to save the princess?"
"Oh, yes, exactly! That's a wonderful analogy!" Ella hopped out of her girlfriend's arms and walked towards the door. "Shall we go then?"
"Sure."
The scene cut to Sammy and Ella just outside of the haunted house, with the singer seeming far more excited than fearful at this point. The manor was designed with pale greens and grays, and "welcome to your mansion" was displayed on the top in light green, glow-in-the-dark text. As the two came closer, the "y" burnt out, immediately bringing Ella's emotions back to fright.
Sammy couldn't quite tell that anything was wrong, though, and just giggled as she felt her lover latch onto her arm. "We're not even in there yet, Ella. We'll be-"
As they entered the house, the door slammed behind them, the lights all turned off at once, and a thunder strike was heard, making both girls gasp. The twin could feel the songbird bury her face in the lower part of her chest. She felt around for Ella's hand, grabbed it, and immediately felt a death grip from the poor singer.
"We're okay, babe. We're okay…" Sammy hesitantly consoled. It was rare for her to use pet names, Ella noticed, so she must have not been thinking straight.
Some dim candles lit the way as the couple hesitantly trudged forward. The princess's adorableness was really helping Sammy, as it gave her something to focus on that wasn't the scary stuff. Sure, she wasn't as terrified as her girlfriend, but she was still a little spooked.
The floor creaked as the two walked along, and one of them must have stepped on a panel, as three animatronic ghosts surrounded them. Ella let out a shrill shriek and jumped into Sammy's arms like an old cartoon character, making her giggle. The princess blushed as she looked at her lover.
"Oh, yes, they're… fake, aren't they?" The singer bashfully questioned. "Goodness, I'm so silly…"
"It's okay. Let's just keep following the light." Sammy suggested, letting Ella lean her head on her shoulder as they walked.
Anything the two had said to each other started quietly echoing around them as they walked, with their own voices getting louder and louder.
A music box could be heard faintly behind a door. It sounded off-key. The two girls scuttled more as it groaned louder, before the door swung open, and a bear mask screeched at the two. Sammy was unphased, but Ella looked away, and curled into Sammy's chest.
"I want to leave…" The princess quietly whimpered, making the cheerleader hug her even tighter out of sympathy.
"We're almost out of here, okay? Just hold on a little longer." The twin assured, which Ella took literally.
Sammy laughed lightly as she felt her girlfriend's tight grasp. "Not what I meant, but… it's okay if you wanna do that."
Ella really did want to leave, but having Sammy there gave her enough confidence to stay in some way, even if it was having to be this close to her. It was also going to take longer to go back to the entrance than to push through to the exit.
The scene then cut to a montage of the cheerleader having to comfort Ella through a few more of the scares, both traditional and nontraditional. Some of these included spiders, which even managed to scare Sammy a bit, what sounded like skeletons rattling their bones, and finally, a breather to release a bit of tension on a TV. Ella smiled at the sight of the candy on the screen, before her girlfriend covered her eyes so she didn't see it turn to something scary again.
The final scare of the manor wasn't a jumpscare by any means. It was simply an eerie, long hallway, and the girls eventually got to the door and opened it up. Ella sighed in relief as her lover set her on the ground, with her legs wobbling.
"I think I'd like to go home now…" Ella requested through her trembling. "May you, ah, walk me home please?"
"Oh, sure, it's fine! Sorry you had to get so scared by… well, everything, but… you did act really cute the whole time we were here." Sammy took hold of the singer's hand as they walked back to her apartment.
The walk was mostly silent so the songbird could calm herself down, and they soon made it back home. Ella turned the key to her apartment to be met with her cat suddenly jumping on her shoulder. She screamed and ran into her bedroom.
"Ella, wait, it's just the cat!" The cheerleader tried to warn, but the singer didn't hear her, having hit her limit of scary stuff for the day.
The princess tossed her cat costume off and called out "good night" from the other room, wanting to forget most of this day, minus the time she spent with her lover.
Mittens simply let off a confused meow as the outfit landed on top of him, prompting Sammy to just shrug.
A/N: Another one that starts similarly to canon, but then diverges. This is because Ella isn't vengeful about things, so I don't see her wanting to crash the party. The joke about her losing her pants from fright was intended to be a replacement for a joke that I wanted to make happen in a later episode, but it managed to happen there anyways as well. It's not the exact same, but it is a joke about her pants like it is here.
