The time has come for our heroes to undertake their adventure! What perils will await them, let's find out shall we?
(Back in Traverse Town, the newly formed team arrived at the First District and waited by the Accessory Shop like Cid instructed)
Hifumi: Well, what do you think Cid's got for us?
Makoto: I don't know, but hopefully it'll get us around.
Sayaka: Is he gonna take long, I'm getting anxious.
Leon: I don't really know.
(Suddenly, they hear what sounds like an aircraft taking off)
Chihiro: Huh? This place shouldn't have any planes!
Aerith: Look!
(They look to the sky to find a red and yellow ship in the air, with Cid piloting it)
Hifumi: A spaceship!?
Sayaka: No way…
(Cid lands it in the middle of the district before hopping out)
Cid: Ain't she a beaut?
Chihiro: Wow…
(Though programming was her primary, she had a fascination with all sorts of technology, and simply marveled at the ship)
Chihiro: What is this?
Cid: This here's the Gummi Ship. My pride and joy!
Sayaka: So, we're going to be flying this between worlds?
Cid: Yep, this baby hasn't flown much so I think it'll be put to better use in yer hands.
Chihiro: It's beautiful…
Hifumi: I hope there's enough room.
Cid: That's why I took a while, you said you had to find like 10 or 11 other folks right?
Cid: So, I added a bit more room to the ship. Hope it works out, if not come back here and I'll get some work on it done.
Makoto: Thanks! Well, we won't get anywhere just be standing here. We gotta get going.
Sayaka: I call next to Makoto!
Chihiro: I'm driving!
Hifumi: Aw man…
(The four hop into the Gummi Ship, Chihiro excited to get at the controls)
Chihiro: This is so amazing!
Hifumi: I hope you know what you're doing Miss Fujisaki…
Chihiro: Well, it can't be that hard… I hope.
Sayaka: Then let's get moving!
(Chihiro starts up the ship and it begins flying into the air)
Cid: Make sure no one sees that ship. You'll have to park it outside the world somewhere to make sure no one notices it!
Hifumi: Thanks for the advice, we'll come back soon!
Makoto: Let us know if you see any of our other friends!
Yuffie: Will do! Take care guys!
(They depart and eventually head into the atmosphere, seeing all of Traverse Town from above)
Hifumi: Wow…
Sayaka: We can see the whole world from here!
Chihiro: That was easier than I thought.
Chihiro: Okay, everyone hang on. We're off to explore new worlds!
Hifumi: I never thought I'd hear that and have it actually mean something.
(The Gummi Ship heads away from Traverse Town and heads off into the distance)
(Some time later...)
Hifumi: I must admit, it's certainly quite a spectacle seeing the cosmos this close.
Sayaka: I didn't think I'd be alive, let alone traveling between worlds.
Sayaka: I'm so glad you saved us Makoto.
Makoto: Don't thank me just yet, we're only just starting.
Makoto: But… you're welcome Sayaka. I couldn't let them hurt you.
(Sayaka smiled and hugged his arm in response)
Makoto: Heh heh… Any sign of another world, Chihiro?
Chihiro: I think so, but I'm not sure, don't know if it's a world or just an asteroid.
Hifumi: Well, anyway to be sure?
Chihiro: Hmm…
(Chihiro looked to her bracelet, then got an idea. She held her hand out over the controls, and the interface from her orb appeared)
Chihiro: Ah, I figured that would work. Let's see…
(She locked onto the object, and the interface scanned the incoming large object. After a few minutes, the scan is complete…)
Hifumi: So what is it Miss Fujisaki?
Chihiro: Looks like we have our first destination!
Sayaka: A new world? Well let's go!
Chihiro: Okay, here goes!
(They quickly approach the world, from the outside it looked to be pink and egg shaped, with several structures sticking out like a castle and a forest)
Hifumi: Looks to be… colorful.
Chihiro: Well, let me park the ship somewhere they won't find it. We can teleport back to it later.
Sayaka: We can do that?
Chihiro: After a bit of work here I can.
Hifumi: Well, let's get started!
Makoto: (This won't be easy, but let's hope one of our friends will be there.)
(Chihiro lands the ship and they all enter the new world, upon entering they find that they're floating down a colorful chasm)
Makoto: Okay, this is already getting weird.
Hifumi: Shouldn't we be falling faster or something?
Sayaka: I don't know what's going on.
(Noticing the slow falling speed, Hifumi simply acted like he was laying on his back. Chihiro tried to keep her skirt down while Makoto and Sayaka focused on landing on their feet. Eventually they reached the ground safely, though Hifumi had a bit of a rougher landing)
Hifumi: Ouch…
Hifumi: I thought I was acting cool.
Sayaka: You and cool don't go very well it seems.
Hifumi: Hmph…
(In the midst of their banter, a white rabbit wearing a red trench coat and holding a large pocket watch ran by them)
?: Oh, my fur and whiskers! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!
?: *panting* Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! I'm here, I should be there!
(They all stared at the running white rabbit, looking shocked, confused or both)
?: I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! Oh the queen, she'll have my head for sure!
(As the white rabbit disappeared from sight, the group just stood there, wondering what the heck they saw)
Makoto: Did anyone else see a talking white rabbit with a trench coat?
Hifumi: I was wondering if that was just me.
Chihiro: Did we hit our heads on the way in or…?
Sayaka: No, I think that was definitely real.
"WHAT!?"
(Cue Wonderland theme)
Hifumi: I didn't think we'd end up somewhere *that* weird *that* soon!
Sayaka: What was that rabbit talking about when he said he was late?
Chihiro: And that the queen would… have his head?
Makoto: I don't know, but something tells me we're not gonna like it.
Makoto: We better follow him and find out.
(The group went down the corridor, fortunately it wasn't long until they reached the door. Upon opening it, there was a smaller door, opening that had a smaller door behind that one. That door opened and then the path was clear)
Sayaka: Why would someone have smaller doors behind bigger doors like that?
Chihiro: Yeah, it doesn't make any sense.
Makoto: Something tells me this whole place won't make sense, let's keep our guard up.
(They keep going along the path until they reach an odd looking room. Some things seemed flat on the ground or in the wall, and the only other door was small. Small enough for the White Rabbit they followed to go through, who closed it upon going through)
Hifumi: I wonder who lives here?
Chihiro: It all seems so small, and why's the clock in the wall like that?
Sayaka: Is this thing supposed to be a table?
(Makoto examines the door the White Rabbit went through)
Makoto: How did he get so small?
(The others checked out the door, but then…)
Doorknob: No, you're simply too big.
(To their surprise, the doorknob suddenly spoke)
Hifumi: WHA-!?
Sayaka: It talks!
Chihiro: Okay, now I know we're in some bizarre world.
Doorknob: *yawn* Must you be so loud? You woke me up.
Makoto: S-Sorry…
Sayaka: Uh, good morning?
Doorknob: Good night! I need a bit more sleep.
Makoto: Wait, what do we have to do to get small?
Chihiro: Get small?
Doorknob: Why don't you try the bottle...over there?
(As soon as the doorknob said it, the table and chair behind them suddenly sprang to life, and on it were two bottles. An orange one and a blue one)
Sayaka: Do… we need to drink these?
Hifumi: Hmm, this one says "To shrink", and this one says "To grow".
Chihiro: I don't know, I-I'm a bit nervous drinking weird stuff.
Makoto: I know the feeling…
Makoto: Let me try it.
Hifumi: Mr. Naegi are you mad? You don't know what's in this, it could kill you!
Makoto: Well, I guess I'll have to rely on my luck then.
Sayaka: *gulp*
(Makoto reaches for the blue bottle and with great gusto, takes a drink from it)
Chihiro: Well, anything wrong?
Makoto: Hmm, it doesn't seem poisonous, in fact it seems-
Makoto: WHOA!
(Suddenly Makoto begins shrinking to the size of the bottles on the table, fortunately for him he didn't land on the ground)
Makoto: Huh, what was…
Makoto: AGH!
(And he notices his friends have become huge)
Sayaka: Makoto! You're… you're…
Hifumi: You've shrunken!
Makoto: I can't believe that actually worked!
Chihiro: Try drinking the orange bottle.
Makoto: O-Okay…
(He grabs the orange bottle and drinks from it…)
Makoto: Hmm, no poison in this one eith-
Makoto: WHOA!
(And in an instant Makoto grew back to his normal size)
Makoto: Whoa, that was nuts…
Sayaka: Well, at least we know it's safe…
Hifumi: Yeah, but I'm not sure we'll be able to follow the rabbit.
Chihiro: What makes you say that?
(Hifumi directs their attention to the doorknob, who's fallen sound asleep)
Sayaka: So we can't use that door? What are we gonna do?
Makoto: We'll need to think about this…
(Makoto leans against the bed, but suddenly it gets pressed into the wall, revealing another path going the way the rabbit went)
Chihiro: Or we could use that?
Makoto: That… sounds like a better idea.
Sayaka: Well, let's get small!
(This time they all drink from the bottle and they all shrink onto the table)
Sayaka: Whoa, my friends back home are never gonna believe this.
Chihiro: I thought I was small before, but this takes the cake.
Hifumi: I don't think I'd *ever* come up with something like this.
Chihiro: Well come on, let's find that rabbit!
(Cue Wonderland Battle Theme)
(They all jump off the table, but upon landing, Heartless appear. Shadows, Soldiers, and some strange red, cone-shaped Heartless)
Sayaka: What are the red ones?
(One of them aims for them and shoots a fireball, fortunately Chihiro gets her orb up and defends the others from it)
Chihiro: Fire elementals, got it. Let's go!
(They quickly spawn their weapons, but Hifumi didn't get his sword from the box, this time a pair of boxing gloves)
Hifumi: Huh? What happened to my badass sword?
Sayaka: Maybe, it's random?
Hifumi: Makes sense I guess, I hope I get that sword again soon…
(Hifumi was able to keep up despite the change in weapon and punched a few Shadows out. Chihiro kept her focus on the fliers)
(Sayaka and Makoto remained back to back as they dealt with the Soldiers, but eventually they managed to beat them)
Makoto: I get the feeling there will be more where those came from.
Hifumi: Isn't that always the case Mr. Naegi?
Makoto: I guess, well let's get going.
Chihiro/Sayaka/Hifumi: Right!
(They all headed through the passage, on the other side they found a large hedge, and on the other side were living cards and what looked like a courtroom setup with a young blonde-haired girl in one booth and what looked like a queen at the judge's podium. The white rabbit they saw earlier went up to one of the booths and sounded a horn, the others decided to hide and watch)
White Rabbit: Court is now in session!
?: I'm on trial? But why?
White Rabbit: Her Majesty, the Queen of Hearts, presiding!
Queen of Hearts: This girl is the culprit. There's no doubt about it.
Queen of Hearts: And the reason is... Because I say so, that's why!
?: That is so unfair!
Queen of Hearts: Well, have you anything to say in your defense Miss…?
Alice: Alice.
Queen of Hearts: Yes, that name.
Alice: Well of course, I've done absolutely nothing wrong!
Alice: You may be Queen, but I'm afraid that doesn't give you the right to be so… so mean!
Queen of Hearts: SIIIIIIILEEEEEENCE!
(Alice and the onlookers were blown back in shock over the Queen's uproar)
Queen of Hearts: You dare defy me!?
(She slams down on the podium, looking very angry)
Sayaka: That poor girl. She's right, that queen is so mean.
Chihiro: I'm not sure if we can handle all of those… card soldiers?
Hifumi: Maybe so, but this trial seems like one big sham. She's prepared to send away a young girl for something she didn't do.
Queen of Hearts: Admit it! I know it was you, and your little 'friend'.
Alice: Friend?
Queen of Hearts: Bring her here!
White Rabbit: Bring the prisoner forward!
(At the Queen's request, two more card soldiers came forward holding someone the group knew all too well…)
Hifumi: *gasp* It can't be…
Chihiro: She's here!?
Sayaka: Oh no...
(To their surprise, they saw that the Queen's prisoner was none other than Celestia Ludenberg, who was dragged to the defendant's booth beside Alice)
Queen of Hearts: You helped her, right?
(Looking annoyed, Celeste looked at Alice before looking back at the Queen and responding…)
Celeste: I did not.
Queen of Hearts: LIES! You were responsible for this, the both of you!
Celeste: Hmph, as stubborn as usual it seems.
Queen of Hearts: What was that?
Celeste: Nothing of importance your Majesty. Perhaps we can settle this with-
Queen of Hearts: SIIIIIILEEEEEEENCE!
Queen of Hearts: There will be no "settle" here! I am the authority over all that is and will be.
(Celeste was annoyed, nothing she said could ever reach anyone here, she was starting to get worried)
Makoto: Celeste? She ended up here?
Hifumi: I can imagine this hasn't been an easy experience for Miss Ludenberg.
Sayaka: We have to save them! Who knows what that Queen's planning to do?
Queen of Hearts: The court finds the defendants… Guilty as charged!
(Alice and Celeste started to worry, though Celeste managed to hide it much better than Alice did)
Queen of Hearts: For the crimes of assault and the attempted theft of my heart…
(The group gasped, they know they had to be innocent, and they knew who was really behind it)
Queen of Hearts: ...OOOOOOOFF WITH THEIR HEADS!
Alice: No! No! Oh, please!
Makoto: Hold it right there!
(Celeste recognized the voice, and to her surprise she saw Makoto, Sayaka, Hifumi and Chihiro running past the card soldiers)
Celeste: Makoto? You're here?
Sayaka: Let them go!
Queen of Hearts: Who are you? How dare you interfere with my court!
Makoto: We know who's really responsible for those crimes! Alice and Celeste are innocent!
Hifumi: Let them go at once!
Queen of Hearts: That's nonsense. Have you any proof?
(That last question silenced them, as they didn't have any evidence of the Heartless to show to her)
Makoto: N-No, we don't…
Sayaka: Then let us go find some!
Makoto: Huh?
Sayaka: We'll find so much evidence that you'll have no choice but to be convinced!
Queen of Hearts: What was that!?
(The card soldiers and the White Rabbit started shaking in fear of the Queen's next outburst, but to her Majesty's surprise Sayaka didn't flinch)
Queen of Hearts: FINE! I'll allow you time to find proof of the culprit's doing, but until then…
Queen of Hearts: The prisoners stay here!
(The card soldiers drag Alice and Celeste over to a cage on the side of the judge's booth and lock them in there)
Celeste: This is undignified for someone like me, let me out!
Card Soldier: Quiet prisoner! You don't want the Queen getting mad again!
Alice: L-Let's just play along for now, I don't want to lose my head over this.
Celeste: Well I don't either, but I'm not going to stay quiet about this.
Celeste: If I ever get out of here, then that so-called Queen will pay!
Queen of Hearts: Bring me evidence of the defendants' innocence! If you fail, then your heads will roll alongside theirs! Got it?
Makoto: *gulp* We- We understand!
Queen of Hearts: Gather as much or as little as you please, and report back here once you're ready. But don't take forever, I get very impatient when others make me wait…
Chihiro: We understand…
(Before they leave to find proof, they decide to check on Celeste and Alice)
Makoto: Celeste, thank goodness you're okay!
Celeste: About time, I was starting to think you weren't going to keep your promise.
Makoto: …..
Sayaka: Hey, don't be like that! We came to save you!
Celeste: Well what took you so long?
Hifumi: We needed a ship to travel between worlds, we didn't start here like you.
Celeste: Well lucky you, if only my luck worked as well when I challenged the Queen to a game of cards.
Alice: You what?
Celeste: I didn't know she'd get mad if she lost, I can't help it, gambling is my specialty.
Celeste: But I did not expect the Queen to accuse me of a crime like this. If something tried to steal her heart, then I'm sure you already know who it is.
Makoto: Yeah, the Heartless…
Makoto: It's proving it to the Queen that'll be the problem.
Alice: Excuse me, but who are you?
Makoto: Oh, I'm Makoto Naegi, nice to meet you.
Makoto: This is Sayaka, Chihiro and Hifumi.
Alice: Pleased to meet you, though I do with it were under better circumstances.
Alice: I'm sorry you got mixed up with this nonsense. Especially you Miss Celeste, I'm so sorry if I got you accused.
Celeste: Do not worry, I don't blame you. I blame that stubborn Queen.
Makoto: Don't worry, we'll find proof and get you both out of here.
Alice: Good luck everyone!
Chihiro: You can count on us!
(Noticing the entrance on the left side of the makeshift court, the group went that way in hopes of finding proof)
Celeste: Well, as long as we're stuck in here we may as well pass the time.
(Celeste takes out a deck of cards)
Celeste: Care for a quick game?
Alice: O-Okay, but this is my first game so, go easy on me please?
Celeste: But of course, so, here's how we will play.
(Meanwhile, the group enters what looks like a forest. Upon looking around, a purple cat's head with a large grin appeared and danced in front of them before disappearing…)
Makoto: !
(It appeared a few more times before appearing on a large tree stump, and it's revealed its body is dancing on its head)
Sayaka: *gasp*!
(The body then picks up the head and places it on top)
Chihiro: Wh-Who are you?
?: Who, indeed?
?: Poor Alice and poor Celeste, soon to lose their heads, and they're not guilty of a thing.
Makoto: We know that, but we need proof!
Hifumi: Do you know where we could find any?
Cheshire Cat: The Cheshire Cat knows all the answers, but doesn't always tell. The answer, the culprit, the proof, the cat, all lay in darkness.
(The Cheshire Cat begins disappearing)
Sayaka: Wait, don't go!
(Its body already gone, but the voice is still heard from the same place)
Cheshire Cat: They've already left the forest, but from which exit who knows?
Cheshire Cat: Up, down, upside down, mayhaps you find what you seek on the way down?
Sayaka: Should we… trust him?
(The Cheshire Cat reappears…)
Cheshire Cat: To trust, or not to trust? I trust you'll decide!
(...Then disappears once again)
Makoto: Well, hopefully we'll find the proof we need.
(And on cue, the Heartless)
Chihiro: So much for a safe investigation…
Hifumi: I got this!
(Hifumi reached for his jack-in-the-box, but came out with a more leaner sword compared to his bigger one)
Hifumi: Well, I guess this'll do. HYAAAAA!
(Hifumi charges forth, but ends up tripping and rolling into the Heartless. But surprisingly, he managed to take them all down)
Hifumi: Did I win?
Sayaka: Wow, nice one!
Makoto: Hmm…
(Makoto is seen examining a faded yellow flower on a tree)
Makoto: These seem… odd.
Chihiro: This whole world seems odd to be honest.
Makoto: I know, but something about this flower…
(Makoto taps the flower with his Keyblade, suddenly it opens and releasing spores, which cause Makoto to grow)
Chihiro: Aaaah! Makoto you're- you're-
Sayaka: Getting bigger!
Makoto: Whoa! What happened?
Hifumi: That flower made you ginormous!
Chihiro: Maybe he has a better viewpoint, hop on this stump and let us know if you see anything!
(Makoto tries stepping on the large stump, but it ended up getting flattened on the ground while a lily pad rose up)
Hifumi: Okay, that didn't work.
(Makoto notices a large nut atop a tree, he grabs it and takes a bite, and fortunately manages to shrink back to his regular size)
Sayaka: Wait, how'd you know it would be that?
Makoto: Well… I'm psychic!
Sayaka: Huh?
Makoto: Kidding! I just have good intuition.
(Sayaka laughed at Makoto's use of her joke, and done so well too. Meanwhile, Chihiro came back holding a pink box)
Hifumi: What's that Miss Fujisaki?
Chihiro: I checked, it's evidence of the Heartless!
Sayaka: Really?
(Chihiro showed them the contents and found part of a heart)
Chihiro: If we gather more, maybe we'll have enough for a full heart.
Hifumi: And since we know they target hearts, we'll draw one out and show the Queen who was *really* after her heart!
Makoto: It's worth a shot, let's do it.
(They begin trekking through the forest, eventually finding another pink box containing a heart fragment. Later on, Makoto was able to open a path for them to climb onto the trees)
Hifumi: Well, thank goodness it won't be that long of a fall.
Sayaka: Hey look!
Sayaka: Two paths with openings!
Chihiro: Should we split up?
Makoto: Best to cover more ground, who goes with who?
Hifumi: I think it's best you and Miss Maizono go together.
Sayaka: Huh?
Chihiro: Yeah, come on Hifumi!
(Chihiro and Hifumi immediately head off towards one pathway, leaving Makoto and Sayaka alone to take on another)
Makoto: So, um…
Makoto: I guess it's you and me.
Sayaka: Y-Yeah, sounds good. Let's go!
(The two could feel the awkward tension in the air as they trekked down the path and headed into the opening in the woods. Upon entering, they found they were falling before eventually landing on a water tap.)
Makoto: Whoa!
Sayaka: Ah, ah, ah, AH!
Makoto: Gotcha!
(Sayaka almost falls off, but Makoto's able to grab her and pull her back up. But given the situation he quickly let go before blushing)
Sayaka: Th-Thank you again for saving me.
Makoto: Oh it's uh… no problem. Heh…
Hifumi: GUYS!
(They notice Hifumi and Chihiro landed on the stove in the opposite side of the room)
Chihiro: We found another fragment, you guys?
Sayaka: Not yet!
Makoto: Sayaka look!
(Makoto points to a fourth pink box on the cabinet just opposite of the tap. Though there was a considerable jump between them and the evidence)
Sayaka: We gotta jump over there?
Makoto: It's okay Sayaka, I'll grab it.
Sayaka: No, I want to do this.
Makoto: Are you sure?
Sayaka: I'm sure, I need to pull my weight on this all somehow.
Makoto: Okay…
(Swallowing her fears, Sayaka got a small running start before jumping over and grabbing the box. Makoto joined her soon after)
Makoto: Perfect, that makes four! Now we can prove their innocence and get them out of there!
(Suddenly the Cheshire Cat appears back on the water tap)
Cheshire Cat: Well, look what you've found. Nice going.
Makoto: Thanks! Now we have everything we need to save Alice and Celeste!
Cheshire Cat: Don't be so sure! They may be innocent, but what about you?
Sayaka: Huh? What did we do?
Makoto: I think it's more what we're about to do, let's hope she doesn't try to make us guilty too.
Cheshire Cat: Tis the Queen's way, no other way but her way, but what happens on that way, always goes her way.
(With that cryptic message, the Cheshire Cat disappears. Makoto and Sayaka then jump down to the ground to join up with Chihiro and Hifumi)
Hifumi: So, how will we do this?
Makoto: When she asks for the evidence, we all open them at the same time. The fragments should come together to make a heart.
Sayaka: One that the Heartless just can't resist!
Chihiro: I hope this works, if not she'll have our… *gulp* heads.
Makoto: It's worth a shot, and if she tries anything we'll just fight back. Let's go!
(With their evidence in tow, they make their way back to the Queen, hoping their plan will work and they'll save Alice and Celeste)
Well you know what they say, where hope forms, despair comes along to crush it; as our heroes will soon find out. Coming up next, the conclusion of both the trial and the world of Wonderland. ...No not that end to Wonderland!
