- Our first adventure, opens with a knock at a hotel room door, "Who is it?" said a male voice. The mouse here stood up from the bed.
"Ere, room service… I, ere, have a gift for you from the lady at the bar, sir!" stated the voice on the other side.
The mouse grinned, 'I knew she'd like me.' he thought to himself. He walked towards the door and answered it, his eyes opened wide at the sight of who was there.
.
Laughter could be heard as a figure walked quickly away. The hotel door reminded open the body of the mouse on the hotel floor.
.
- Dagenham is found dead, the only clue is the name Greenback written on a small piece of paper, one that he had managed to scrunch up and put in his pocket.
Dagenham had been working on learning the true state of the toad's affairs and the hold on the underworld he had.
.
- Keilym decided that it would be in the service's best interest to bring in another agent, to bring down this Greenback character before it was too late. "Donington, he's the mouse for this mission… a true great… truly fantastic… Wherever there is danger he'll be there… He's our ace, he's amazing! He's the strongest he's the quickest…. Just the best"
.
- London, one of the nerve centers of world government, amidst a complex web of streets and buildings of Mayfair, in a mundane Royal Post Box, lives the greatest guardian of peace and justice in a civilised world Donington. This secret agent is one of the service's finest.
.
Inside the post box, sits Donington, reading the morning newspaper and a coffee before him. To the downtrodden, a gracious hero. To the evil, a ruthless enemy.
.
Ernest Penfold, walked into the main room of Donington's place. Penfold is Donington's aid and trusted assistant, the pair knew each other from the training days.
.
Keilym contacted Donington, the secret service. - Ring -
.
- The calm morning is broken, Donington looked up from the paper. "It must be Keilym!" he stated, as he now folded up his morning paper and took a sip of tea. 'Let's see what he wants shall me, Penfold." he addressed his assistant, before answering.
Penfold here nodded in reply.
.
The screen on the wall lit up, and a figure sat behind a desk looked forward. "This is Colonal Keilym, calling Donington… Do you hear me, Agent!?"
"Yes, we hear you colonel!" was his reply, standing before the screen.
"Ah, there you are Donington."
"What is the emergency?" the mouse asked.
"Something has come up, and I'd like you to look into it… One of my finest agents, Dagenham, has been found dead in his hotel room."
"Great Scott, no!" expressed Penfold, a shocked look across his face.
"Indeed, now I want answers DM. Alright?"
Donington put a hand to his chin. "Right you are, sir… Do you have any suspects or leads?" Donington asked of his colonel.
"Yes, a criminal by the name of Greenback… I warn you, Donington, the Toad is a black heart with no doubt a deadly plot up his sleeve." Keilym for a second, here, letting his emotions get away with him, due to the nature of things, banging his fist on his desk.
"We'll get onto it right away!" agreed Donington.
"Good, good… I knew I could rely on you, Donington!"
"We'll be in touch, open we've learned something." and with that, their communication ended.
.
Donington turned to Penfold, "You heard, Keilym, we've got a job to do!"
He nodded in return. "Oh heck!" he said, knowing that they were about to go into action.
.
- However, there was then a knock at the door, both Donington and Penfold turned to look at one another. "No one as ever knocked!" commented Penfold.
"No, they haven't… Do me a favour, Penfold and answer that."
"Me!" he exclaimed, a finger pointing at himself.
Donington nodded.
.
Penfold walked to the door, he gulped really hard.
Donington whispered, as he did so, "Just say calm!"
Penfold nodded to his colleague and he answered the door. "Hello!" he stated kindly.
8"A, ere, package, for the owner!"
The pair look out on a bird, a crow by the name of Alfonso.
"Ah, I don't think so somehow…' addressed Donington as the door was opened. The mouse kicked the weapon out of the bird's hand. 'Just as I thought, Penfold… nothing good!"
"Oh, this means trouble." stated the figure before them, and with that Alfonso turned tail and ran.
.
- Donington returned to Penfold. "It looks like they've come to us!"
"But, sir, he's getting away!"
"Indeed, you're right!' He holds up a hand in the air. 'We better get after him!"
.
"I dare say, you're right Penfold!"
Penfold smiled at this.
"Then we better get after him, and fast… Penfold, the lift!" stated Donington, as he now closed the door.
Penfold for a second, looked to the floor and then to another door, "I say, sir, do you mind if I take the stairs?"
But Penfold saw that Donington was ready and that his actions were keeping them from going into action.
.
Donington and Penfold get into their car, the Mark 3, it was lighting quick, seatbelts on and Penfold in the passenger seat, Donington in the driving seat with hands on the wheel.
.
- In front of the post box, a stone slab lifted out letting the Mark 3 out, Donington drove out, chasing after the crow, Alfonso. Alfonse escaped on a bike, racing off through the capital. "Hold tight, my old friend, this is going to call for some fancy driving!" exclaimed Donington, at the wheel.
.
Unbeknownst to Donington, as they closed the gap, their chase was being monitored from a tiny camera, relaying all the footage back to the crown prince of evil-doers, Silas Greenback! "So they've gone and sent out the witness white wonder after me… Ah, who do they think they're playing with… Do they really think that I would just allow my assassin, Aflonso, to lead them to my hideout. Well, I have news for them, eh Nero?" said the toad to his pet that lay by his owner.
The little pet, Nero, laughed at his owner's words.
"They have another thing coming!"
.
Silas rubbed his hands together, as he opened up a communication channel with his second henchbird, Lothar. "They are after Aflonso, he can't be allowed to lead them to me… I need them off of his feathers, do I make myself clear!?"
The crow that looked back at him crowed and answered. "As water, sir!"
"Good… now get out there, and if you can send them to their graves."
Lothar nodded, here, rolling up his copy of Zap and putting it into where he keeps his helmet.
.
Lothar received Aflonso's location and picked the perfect location to send Donington on a merry dance. Lothar, a side grin on his face, as he rode in his fellow crow's direction.
.
Alfonso received word from Silas of his plan, with the crow replying, "When it comes to cooking up the greatest deeds, Silas, you are the true greatest!"
Silas nodded knowingly in agreement, actually relishing his comments in his favour.
.
Within a blink of an eye, without either Donington nor Penfold, as a few pigeons flutter out of the road, Lothar is now who they are following, Donington now seeing the black bike turning a sharp left. "Ha, trying to shake us off, hey… I've seen you… I've got you." he stated. The Mark 3 quickly followed suit, Donington skillfully able to take the turn. A car honking his horn sparkly at the bike as they raced on.
.
Alfonso free, was able to, return back to his leader's headquarters without being followed.
.
Driving with skill and knowledge, Donington managed to come in close. Lothar looked troubled, he swerved into the Mark 3, which caused Donington to swerve too, "It's going to need a good polish, this weekend, Penfold!" Donington, here, addressing the state of the car.
.
Penfold was the first to see it. "Oh crumbs, Donington… look.' Penfold, here, pointing at the crow. 'It's a different bird."
"It's alright, Penfold… If they've done this we were no doubt close to their base!"
"Not too close I hope." he mumbled under a hand, a little out of fear, as if they weren't on their toes in the post box earlier they would be out of their own story.
"No then let's see if we can guide him back a little." stated Donington, now ready to play the crow at his own game.
.
Donington drove down a street, and out of the corner of his eye, he spotted the same bike parked up. "Looks like we've done it, Penfold! Look!" he said with a nudge to his friend's side.
Penfold looked around, but then too saw the bike.
"Time to bring this mad goose chase to a much-needed end!" commented Donington, skillfully managing to bring the bike to the floor the rider rolling across the tarmac.
.
Donington now looked up at the building before him. Silas' headquarters was designed to seemingly blend into the skyline of the capital, a building you wouldn't necessarily think of if you didn't know any better. "I believe the best thing to do is for us to split up, and look around."
Penfold scratched the top of his head in thought. "Ere, could I not split up and still come with you, Donington?"
"Ah.' laughed the agent believing Penfold was saying this in pure jest. 'No, Penfold." ending with a shake of the head.
"Ok… I best head out this way." commented Penfold, heading off in the other direction, as Donington had already started off in the other direction.
.
Penfold found himself inside the headquarters, and he hoped Donington had too. "I don't know, it's getting harder for a super spy to walk the streets in safety!" he grumped, as he was jumped by another group of Silas' thugs.
Penfold caught off guard let out a scream, "Ah, help! Oh heck, more of Greenback's nasties!' but soon took his stance. "You've come out sooner than I had thought."
Penfold had to fight them, using his skills to take them all down, throwing one over his shoulder using the thug's momentum against him.
.
Donington had come running as he had heard Penfold's scream of terror, "On my way Penfold! Don't let them know that you're frightened." he called out, but saw that his fellow agent was okay, standing tall, with all the thugs, actually, laid out in defeat around him. 'As it should be.' he thought to himself, with a smile.
.
Silas looked enraged, as he saw from the cameras the footage of Penfold. "They are here… how could they get past my best!" The toad here slammed his fist down onto the table before him, which caused Nero to stir and growl up at his owner.
He heard the growl, "I am sorry, my Nero… it is time for me to put my foot down… And end these secret heroes myself." he laughed.
.
He now turned to Alfonso with a look of hate across his face. "Bring me big Tom… If Donington has come for a fight it's a fight he will get!" Silas here, referring to a weapon in his arsenal.
Alfonso looked to his leader. "Are you sure, sir… Big Tom?"
Silas was sure and answered as such. "Yes, Big Tom! I will take down the service and rule the world!"
"I've said it once, and I'll say it again, for sure, Greenback, you are the greatest!"
.
"I don't think so!" exclaimed Donington, as he quickly entered the room.
Silas turned sharply to the door. "How can this be?"
"The games are over, Silas… your terror stops here!"
Silas stood tall. "Is that so, agent?"
"Oh fiddle!" said Penfold.
Donington points to the toad. "We know it was you who was behind Danginum's death… Know that you were good, Silas, but not good enough to pull off the same scheme twice." Donington looked now to Alfonso who stood at Silas' side.
Nero, Silas' pet, hissed and growled at the two agents furiously.
"Don't just stand there, do something, you fool!' he snapped at Alfonso, demandingly. 'Rid me of this rodent!"
"I don't think so, that is if you know what is good for you, Alfonso!" stated Donington stepping forward.
Alfonso gulped.
"You wretched mouse, I'm not beaten that easily!" called out Silas.
Donington laughed. "Just know when you are done for, Silas… there's no way out of this… And you know it."
He groans, looked around the room, and with that, Sillas holds up his hands in true defeat.
.
As Silas, Alfonso, and Luthar were placed into custody, "It looks like Silas' next few years will be spent behind bars!" addressed Penfold.
Donington turned to his colleague. "It looks like you're right, old friend…' but as the mouse now sees the approaching media he said. 'I guess we better leave… We don't want our faces being shown to the whole world."
"No, I guess you're right, Donington!"
And with that they get into the Mark 3 and drive off, heading back to base.
.
Back in Mayfair, with the terrible toad servicing his sentence, Donington contacted Keilym to report that their mission was complete. "Silas won't be coughing our secret service trouble any longer, sir, he came after me… But together we showed him, hey Penfold!?"
His colleague looked at him. "What?' he had time to think, time to answer. 'Oh yes… Donington we showed him, for sure!"
"Good show… A job well done, you two… as you said Donington, our service is safe once again!" Keilym stated pointing to Donington through the screen.
"For now." added Donington, knowing the life of a secret agent.
