Before you get excited, this isn't a chapter.
I am really happy to see there are people reading my story. Thank you for taking a chance on me. Everyone who reviewed, everyone who added JtR to their alerts and favourites list, you made my day.
I don't have a schedule for updating right now. I usually do art more than write in the summer time and the chapters are not pre written. I am working on chapter 3 and will update soon as it is ready. For now I can just say stay tuned.
Here is a mini glossary for the terms used in the story so far.
If I missed any word you don't understand let me know.
Rishta- Relationships
In context of the title it mean like the marriage proposal
Isra- Journey
Halal- Permissible
Haram- Forbidden
Harami- A person who does haram actions. Usually used to refer to non muslims.
Biryani- A rice dish, which in context of Mauritian culture, is made mostly for special occasions.
Nani- Maternal Grandmother
Dada- Paternal Grandfather
Aslm/Asalaamualaikum- A greeting which means 'peace be upon you'.
Wslm/Walaikumsalaam-The reply to aslm, meaning 'and upon you be peace'
Ameen- Similar to amen, it is said at the end of a prayer. It means so be it.
Alhmd/Alhamdulillah- All praise and thanks be to God/Allah.
Prophet Yusuf- Joseph from the bible. In Islam he is known for his being extremely handsome. In fact, it is written that he was so handsome, as if he was given half of all beauty.
