Taylor had been sitting on the steps leading to the temple for a while now, waiting for any sign of activity from within but not getting anything. He twiddled with his fingers nervously. Letting out a heavy sigh, he turned around and to his surprise saw Zane, Cole, and Jay walking up the steps.

"Oh, shi-. Sorry, I forgot you guys were tied up." Taylor had forgotten about them in the midst of everything. He looked at them for a while, noticing some missing items. "Don't tell me..."

"Yep." Jay started as Cole started banging on the temple entrance. "The golden weapons are gone, the Skulkin took them to the Underworld.

"Sensei!" Cole shouted.

"Stop, if they had managed to escape they would've been out by now. Chances are the Sword is in the Underworld now with the other weapons." Taylor said a grim look on his face.

"But that is the one place no mortal can cross over. I sense there is no way out of this predicament." Zane said.

"Well you're sensing wrong." A familiar voice responded as the temple opened up and revealed Kai and Nya sitting on the fire Dragon, Cole screamed and hid behind a pillar.

"We can't cross over, but a dragon can." Taylor sighed in relief seeing that they were okay, but when he looked around for his Uncle, he was nowhere to be seen.

"Where's my Uncle?" Taylor asked as Kai got off the Dragon.

"The Underworld, along with the Sword. When this big guy," Kai motioned towards the dragon. "Realized we were trying to protect the sword, he actually became a real big softie." The dragon nuzzled up into Kai.

Nya laughed and Jay made some weird sounds with his throat.

"He cannot talk. He wants to know if you like blue." Zane clarified for Jay.

"Well yeah, it's one of my favorite colors, apart from purple." Nya said while Jay pumped his fist.

"Yes."

Nya got off the dragon and said her goodbye to Kai while the ninja (save for Cole) all got on the dragon.

"Uh, you guys go on ahead. There's not enough room for all of us on that...thing." Cole said as he looked at the dragon fearfully.

"He's right...but there's a way to fix that..." Taylor said ominously with a sly smile on his face.

The very next day all the Ninja are on the dragons that used to guard the element weapons. Taylor was flying with Kai as he didn't have a dragon for himself.

"Th-this is your fix!?" Cole asked as he clinged to his dragon fearfully. The other ninja all laughed at Cole.

"Calm down, he won't eat you...probably." Taylor muttered at the end, making Cole look at him.

"What was that?"

"Nothing."

"How exactly do these dragons cross through to the Underworld?" Zane asked as they continued to soar through the skies.

"I think we're about to find out." Kai said as the dragons all nosedived towards the ground, spiraling they sped up until right before the hit the ground, a portal formed. They flew threw, dodging obstacles until they exited the portal, getting knocked off the dragons.

"Solid ground, we made it!" Cole said as the ninja all looked up to see they had made it to the Underworld.

They watched as the Skulkin took the Golden Weapons, which were in a cart, to a temple. There were more hanging outside the temple so a frontal assault was out of the question. Taylor looked up and saw stalactites hanging from the ceiling.

"Well, well. Looks like that's our way across." Taylor said as the rest of the ninja noticed them too. A while later they were all climbing from stalactite to stalactite, trying to make as little noise as possible.

They eventually reached a long black stalactite, at which point started to make sounds, still unable to speak properly from the day before.

"I can't be the only one that thinks ever since Jay lost his voice it's been nothing but bliss?" Taylor said as the stalactites started to move as the ninja all realized that Jay was warning them about the fact that they were hanging from giant spiders.

"...Nevermind." Taylor muttered as they let go of the spiders, all dropping right in front of the Skulkin. They coughed and groaned, the wind having been knocked out of their lungs.

"Uh... if there are more than one ninja, is it 'ninjas' or just 'ninja'?" Nuckal asked Kruncha, having spotted them.

"I think it's just 'ninja'." Kruncha responded.

"Oh, okay. Then, NINJA!" The Skulkin started to surround the Ninja, as the managed to recover from the fall before.

"I count ten boneheads to every one of us. I think I like these odds." Cole said as they all drawed their weapons. At the same time the giant spiders descended from the ceiling.

"Uh oh. Anyone got any bright ideas?" Kai asked. They pressed their backs up against each other. Jay, seemingly having thought of something, groaned something out but due to him damaging his throat the others couldn't understand what he said.

"You feel a weird sensation?" Cole asked while Jay groaned again.

"Saw a pet at the gas station?" Taylor asked as he swung his katana at some Skulkin.

"You ate an odd crustacean?" Zane asked.

"I got it! Two natives on a vacation!" Kai said as Jay regained his voice.

"Tornado of CREATION!" Jay shouted.

"Oh." They all said as they realized their guesses were far off the mark.

"Welcome back."

"But it could lead to disastrous consequences." Cole said.

"I don't know if you've noticed but we're about tohavea disastrous consequence." Kai said as the Skulkin got even closer.

"Look, all you have to do is do it the way Uncle Wu told you guys." Taylor told them as the four ninja nodded.

"Earth!" Cole shouted as he started doing Spinjitzu.

"Fire!" Followed Kai.

"Ice!"

"Lightning!"

"Ninja, go!" The Ninja shouted as they formed the Tornado of Creation. The tornado was large, golden with lightning and the other elements all around it.

"Huh, I thought they'd have died." Taylor said. The tornado sucked in the giant spiders, along with the Skulkin and their weapons. When it was finished the end result was a ferris wheel with the trapped Skulkin inside.

"Come on, we gotta move." Taylor said as he rushed inside the temple with the other ninja following him.

Inside Wu held the Sword of Fire and was battling Samukai who had the other three Golden Weapons.

Cole, Zane, and Jay went to help him but Kai and Taylor stopped them.

"No. This is sensei's fight." Kai said.

Wu shot a blast of fire from the Sword which Samukai dodged. He then used the Shurikens of Ice to freeze the Sword in the ground, with Wu's hand still holding it. After some struggle he managed to free the Sword only to be blasted by the Nunchucks of Lightning, losing the Sword.

"Bring me the four weapons." Garmadon demanded. Samukai apparently had other plans as he grabbed the Sword of Fire and then turned to Garmadon.

"No. You will obey me now!" Samukai said. Garmadon only laughed in response as he started to lose control of the weapons.

"No one can handle all of their power at once."

"Selfish fool. You thought I wouldn't count on your betrayal? Not even I can handle all their power. But now that they are combined, it'll create a vortex through space and time, allowing me to finally escape this ghastly place." Garmadon got up from his throne as Samukai began to levitate. With a final scream he disappeared into nothing, leaving the weapons that fell to the ground. True to Garmadon's words, a portal had opened.

"Good and evil. There has always been a balance, where I go, the balance can be destroyed. Soon I'll be strong enough to possess the Golden Weapons, strong enough to recreate the world in my image!" Garmadon walked towards the portal before turning back.

"We'll stop you f-Garmadon!" Taylor said as he shielded his eyes from the light the portal was emitting. Garmadon seemed to falter before turning around and entering the portal, not saying another word to them.

The portal closed the moment he stepped through, allowing them to go to the platform with the Golden Weapons.

"He is gone, but he will return." Wu said as the Ninja picked up their respective Golden Weapons.

"Then we'll be ready." Kai said.

"And we'll keep an eye out for any more of his evil plans."

Wu simply gave them a smile.

"Then I have done my part. The balance has been restored...for now..."

Some time later, the Ninja were all moving into their new rooms at the Monastery. Zane had finished faster than everybody else as he didn't have much possessions due to being an orphan. He walked around a bit and then saw Taylor who has received a hug from Nya and seemingly frozen up in confusion. Not knowing what to do he awkwardly pushed her away.

"Uh, no problem?" Taylor said as Nya then started to ask what living in the Monastery was like and how the training course worked, if he could show her how to do it, and what his high score was. Taylor, clearly overwhelmed from the days events and the current interaction simply looked at her, his eyes droopy.

Zane then walked over, deciding that his teammate was probably in dire need of a break.

"I could help you with the training course Nya, and I know much about the Monastery as well." Zane offered.

"Huh? Oh! That'd be a huge help Zane!" Nya said as she started to walk off, to the center with Zane following close behind but not before muttering something to Taylor.

"I believe after an event like this you now, 'owe me one'." Zane said as he walked off to show Nya the training course.

Taylor simply let out a heavy sigh, and went to his room. Starting here on out things would beveryinteresting.
