Chapter 4

With Megatron

It was early evening. The Nemesis flew past Jasper when Megatron took off. He flew close to the ground so human radar systems won't discover him.

During his flight all he could see was desert. While it was quiet, Megatron doesn't like it. For him it reminded him of his dead planet. He wanted to see something beautiful, not lifeless desert.

Megatron thought: "So empty, so lifeless."

Finally, his view started to change. Some signs, roads, houses. It was Jasper. Somehow this city was built right between dead desert and full of life forest.

As soon as the forest caught his eyes, he headed toward it. He was looking for some place in this forest where he could lye down and relax. Megatron noticed a small clearing in the forest and started to decline.

He landed. This clearing was a little raised and revealed a beautiful view. Megatron was glad that finally he can relax and reflect about his thoughts. He lay down on green and high grass. The birds sang, wind shook the trees. Somehow it was quiet and peaceful but also everything was so alive. It was really nice.

Megatron thought: "Maybe I could even recharge here a little."

Megatron placed his servos on his mid-section plating (stomach) and closed his eyes. He was enjoying sounds of the forest.

Megatron thought: "I can't remember when the last time was, I felt so pleased."

Megatron started recharging but kept his guard.

With Jack

Jack as usual returned from the school on Arcee. They entered the garage. He got off her.

Jack said: "Thank you again Arcee. Sometimes it's feeling guilty to use you as transport. Even if you're literally one."

Jack closed garage door. After that Arcee transformed and faced her partner.

Arcee said: "Jack I thought we already discussed it. You don't need to feel guilty about it."

Jack said: "And I also told you that it's not that easy. I mean when we're having fun and ride across the desert or going on recon, it feels okay. We both either like or need to do what we do. But when it comes to school, only I need to go there so it feels guilty because I spend your free time."

Arcee said: "Always the same arguments. Listen, I understand why you feel that way but there is nothing to do with that. Jack, this is my duty and not even an exhausting one. It's very easy for me to take you from spot A to spot B. Try to get used to it and that feeling will go away."

Jack said: "Guess you're right. As usual."

Jack smiled a bit. Arcee was very proud for herself, she likes to hear she's right. Jack didn't have any work to do. Sometimes after school he likes to go to the forest and relax a bit. He liked to look and feel the nature. And today was that day.

Jack said: "I'll take my headphones and go to the forest today. There is one beautiful place that I found. It feels so calm there. Maybe next time we can go together."

Usually when Jack is free to go to the forest, Arcee is busy with scouting. It's hard for them to spend their free time together.

Arcee said: "Of course. Maybe it can be pretty soon. After tomorrow I'm free and it's Saturday when you have an early shift. After that we could go to your special place."

Jack said: "That's great. Then we are agreed."

Arcee said: "Okay. Now we both need to go, please open the door."

Arcee transformed and created her hologram named Sadie. Jack opened the door of garage for her. After that Arcee speeded to the base.

Jack closed the door and went to kitchen. He left a note to his mother, so she won't worry about him.

Note: "Mom I'm going to the forest, don't worry I will be safe. I want to relax there a bit. Love you."

Jack came out from the front door of his house, closed it and headed to the forest. After 15 minutes of walking and listening to music he was in front of the forest. Before going there, he used insect spray. After his encounter with Airachnid in other forest he understood that insects love him way too much.

He walked about 10 minutes by his own way he discovered. Jack liked that he is the only one who knows about his place. It's like his personal secret spot where he could relax.

He was near his clearing when he noticed that something was odd. Jack saw that on his spot was some kind of metal. He couldn't understand what that from his place was, so he come closer.

It was already too late when he understood that he was looking at sleeping Megatron. Megatron finally heard Jack's steps and quickly back up online and started pointing his gun at several directions. Megatron thought that it was one of the Autobots that's why he didn't notice that Jack managed to hide behind closest tree.

Megatron said: "I heard you moving, come out and maybe I'll let you live."

Jack was scared, he couldn't move. His brain tried to think what to do next.

Jack thought: "Okay I need to calm down. I need to send a message to the base."

Jack picked his phone and started typing a massage. Megatron couldn't understand what's going on. He surely heard someone. He tried to look around and noticed that something was odd. It was evening and the whole forest was dark except the side of one tree. Megatron understood, it wasn't an Autobot it was human. He wanted to resolve this situation quietly.

Megatron said: "Human come out from behind the tree, I won't kill you."

Jack didn't know what to do, he wasn't sure could he believe him.

Megatron said: "Come out now or I'll shoot that tree."

As soon as it went out of Megatron's mouth Jack came out with raised hands.

Jack said: "H-Hello"

Megatron just inhaled and exhaled deeply.

Megatron said: "From 8 billion of your kind how could this possible that exactly YOU found me?"
