Several hours pass as Jacob flies around mountains, the longer he looks the more frantic he becomes.
Jacob: Where is this damn village!
He lands at the peak of the tallest mountain and looks around closely still not seeing a village.
Jacob: How can I not find this place, asshole said it was in the mountains.
Saying it out loud made Jacob come to a realization.
Jacob: Son of a bitch IN the mountains.
Jacob used X-Ray vision to look inside the mountains and after scanning across the several peaks he noticed one was hollow and had the village inside of it.
Jacob: There you are, hang on girls here I come.
Jacob crouches down and launches himself full force at the village. Inside Rugar looks to the sky and smiles.
Ruggar: He finally found us.
Phoebe looks up to the sky, the other girls who awoke earlier also look up. A gleam shines from the distant as Jacob comes crashing through the false sky enchantment.
The ground craters and covered in thick smokey dust, the girls stare as the dust settles and Jacob stares intensely at Rugar who has a big nefarious smile on his face.
Rugar: What took you so long.
Jacob: Your message was a bit cryptic.
Jacob looks over to see his wives basically crucified to their posts.
Jacob: Are you okay?
Phoebe: We're okay.
Sylvie: A little sore from these chains.
Roxy: Are you okay?
Jacob: I'm pissed.
Inki: Use that anger and take him down darling!
Mirai: Make sure you hit him hard for each of us!
Ale: But please be careful.
Raily: We're here for you!
Rose: Beat him so we can leave.
Jacob: I promise all of you, when this is over there'll be nothing left of this freak.
Rugar: Your intensity remains palatable, I want to enjoy it for as long as possible.
Jacob: It won't last long, you'll be dead before today is over General.
Jacob takes a fighting stance ready to strike Rugar as hard as he can. Rugar unleashes his two sets of wings and flies at Jacob with incredible speed. He throws a powerful punch and Jacob using his left forearm blocks it. The collision sets off a loud concussion that sounds like distant thunder, a heavy gust of wind is sent in every direction with such power several of the ruined houses collapse under the pressure.
Rugar: Excellent, I'm man enough to acknowledge that as you are now you could have killed me before the vial.
Jacob: And I will ensure that even with this power increase you gained it won't matter.
Rugar: We shall see hero.
Jacob pushes Rugar back who uses his wings to stop himself, he grows his fingernails and darts at Jacob in a swiping motion. Jacob dodges the first few swipes before backflipping out of the crater. He shouts CROSS CHANGER and is morphed into the Red Hawk, he stretches his arms out and wings come out from the suit and he starts gliding back, he pulls a blaster out of the holster on his left hip and fires at Rugar who slaps the blasts away before firing a blast of energy out of his mouth at Jacob who takes the hit head on and falls to the ground from the pain.
Jacob: Dammit, need to switch up.
Jacob screams HENSHIN and as he stands up a video game voice can be heard saying MIGHTY JUMP MIGHT KICK MIGHTY MIGHTY ACTION X. In an instant his suit changes from a red one to pink with a helmet that looks like it has spiky hair and a backpack on his back. Jacob pulls out a hammer and jumps around the area bouncing off the walls of the buildings before he jumps at Rugar and hits him in the face with the hammer, when he does the word HIT pops up in the air.
Rugar: What the?
Jacob: It's not over yet.
Jacob taps the pink A button on the hammer and a blade springs from the hammer turning it into a sword.
Jacob: Ka-Ching asshole.
He taps the B button several times and slashes Rugar causing it to hit the same amount of times he hit the B button. Rugar falls back as one of his wings is cut completely off.
Jacob: I'm not done yet, big guy.
He clicks a button on his side, his leg starts glowing and shoots neon static. The game sound shouts MIGHTY CRITICAL STRIKE, and Jacob jumps at Rugar kicking him several times enveloping him in an explosion. Jacob lands and de-transforms.
Jacob: Now I know that wasn't enough to even scratch you, come out of the fire and let's continue this dance.
Rugar starts laughing in the fire before walking out of the flame and clapping while his head bleeds from a cut.
Jacob: Guess I was wrong, I did scratch you.
Rugar: Take pride in that, you won't get anymore damage on me.
His eyes turn blood red and he stabs into his shoulder and pulls a long bone out. He whips it to the side, flinging the blood off of it and changing it into a sharp sword. He charges at Jacob who ducks from the attack. The slash cuts through every house behind Jacob as well as the mountain itself releasing the enchantment and showing the roof of the mountain which has hieroglyphic drawings of three individuals fighting a fourth demonic one while 18 female individuals of different races support the three men.
Sylvie: Is that?
Mirai: Us, that's a representation of us.
Roxy: But how is that possible?
Phoebe: Lanercrost was theorized to be a village of clairvoyants who could see hundreds if not thousands of years in the future.
Ale: You mean, they foretold the battle with the demon lord.
Mirai: It's probably why the demons destroyed this village, to prevent that knowledge from getting out.
Inki: I wouldn't want my enemy knowing how to defeat me if that was the case.
Phoebe: They didn't do a good enough job.
Rose: What do you mean?
Phoebe: We knew for generations that the battle would happen, and we knew three heroes were the ones who were prophesied to defeat him.
Raily: Did you know of the wives?
Phoebe: No, either that knowledge was lost or not given.
Rugar and Jacob look at the ceiling themselves intrigued.
Rugar: So that's where they were hiding that.
Jacob: Prophecy, I hate prophecies.
Rugar: When we invaded the previous demon king knew this place had a secret that would end our species as a whole. Azrael and I led our forces to find that secret, unfortunately before we could find it those warriors destroyed 80% of our forces in a matter of hours, pushing us back into our country.
Jacob: Hard working men there, I have nothing but respect for them.
Rugar: A shame they are all dead now.
Jacob: Age does that to people, but during their time they successfully did their duty for their country, and I don't plan on letting their hard work be undone.
The energy displayed between Jacob and Rugar is so tense the surrounding environment shudders and cracks. Phoebe's post cracks on her arm, she notices and uses her strength to try and break it. Rugar leaps at Jacob who jumps over him and uses the Gum-Gum Stamp to crush Rugar under his feet. He retracts his feet back and flies up.
Jacob: I told you that when I was done there wouldn't be any trace of you, KAMEHAMEHAAA!
The blast fired hard down enveloping Rugar in a bright light. At the same time Phoebe was able to snap her restraints and free herself. She ran towards the pile of weapons and retrieved her staff before heading over to Inke who was strapped to the post near her. Before she can get close to her the golems of Gunnar and Norae shoot out of the ground and throw her back towards her post.
Phoebe: I know you aren't really them but seeing those faces being used by the demon breaks my heart and infuriates me. I will send both of you back from once you came.
She charges up a large fireball on her staff and fires it at the golems who run on the opposite ends of the blast, before reconvening to attack her in tandem. They begin to overwhelm her before she slams the base of her staff to the ground forcing a concussion of air to push them back.
Jacob notices her fighting and begins to run over to help her, when out of the flames Rugar now with six wings bursts out and in lightning speed tackles Jacob, crashing them through the houses and other ruins. Once they came to a stop Rugar had Jacob by the throat. Jacob looks into Rugar's eyes and notices that he is struggling to maintain control.
Jacob: Did you drink another vial?
Rugar grumbles and struggles to get any words out. He drools on Jacob and the spit burns Jacob like acid. Jacob uses all of his strength and forces Rugar off of him.
Jacob: Something about you is different, you're more vicious and less talkative than before.
Rugar stomps forward crushing the ground under his taloned feet before leaping full force at Jacob so fast a crack of thunder is heard. Jacob drops to the ground just barely dodging the head on tackle. He gets up and using the power of the Flash sprints off towards Phoebe who is struggling to fend off two powerful foes at once.
Phoebe is covered in wounds and is out of breath from constantly trying to dodge and return fire. The golems also covered in battle scars move as if nothing is wrong even though their arms and legs crumble before regrowing, their empty eyes focused on Phoebe.
Phoebe: I don't know how much longer I can hold out, if I could free any of the girls that would make this easier.
Golem Norae points her staff at Phoebe and fires a hellfire blast at her, Phoebe responds with a Holy Shine blast to shield her. She holds back the blast as long as she can, but her exhaustion is getting the best of her.
Phoebe(Thinking): I can't keep this up, Jake please help me.
Lightning flashes by her eye and Jacob grabs her and moves her away from the battle.
Jacob: Are you okay?
Phoebe: I am now.
Phoebe looks up at Jacob and notices the intense burns on his face. She puts her hand on his cheeks and rubs his face worriedly.
Phoebe: How did this happen?
Jacob: Apparently demon drool is acidic.
Phoebe: How did you get drool on you?
Jacob: I think the General took another vial of that blood.
Phoebe: WHAT?!
Jacob: Shhh, damn. I don't think I can beat him alone, we need to rescue the others and work together to beat them.
Phoebe: Everytime I tried to get to one of the other girls the golems would intercept me and beat me back.
Jacob: Well if we move fast enough I can hold off the golems and you can free the others.
Phoebe agrees and they move out towards the nearest wife they can see. As they move around they find Inki struggling to get free from her restraints.
Jacob: Perfect, she'll be helpful.
Phoebe: I'll free her, you watch over me and distract the golems.
Jacob: Got it.
Phoebe runs toward Inki and Jacob charges his Flash power to be ready. As she approaches Inki the Gunnar golem erupts from the ground and launches his sharp demon shield at Phoebe. Jacob sprints grabbing golem Gunnar and throwing him into a distant house demolishing it. He turns around and notices that golem Norae has fired a blast at Phoebe and Inki. Jacob sprints over and after moving between his wives and the blast he puts his hand up.
Jacob: ALL MIGHTY PUSH!
The blast is then redirected back at golem Norae exploding in her face. He turns around to see Phoebe breaking the chains off of Inki's post while golem Gunnar is sprinting at them.
Jacob: What the fuck man. GUM GUM PISTOL
Jacob throws a punch colliding with golem Gunnar's chest and ripping through him, the punch seems to do nothing as he continues to run while Jacobs arm is sticking out of him. Jacob looks disgusted but twists his arm and fires a blast of ki that destroys golem Gunnar's head, but the body is still running.
Jacob: How is he still running?
Phoebe: It's not really Gunnar, it's a golem and they don't need a brain to move. They move on orders, and even if it's just a random body part left it will still move.
Inki: Once I'm down I'll make sure there isn't any left.
Jacob jumps and retracts his body towards his arm that's inside the golems chest. He puts his other arm up and it lights on fire.
Jacob: FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST!
He punches the remainder of the golems' body, lighting it on fire. The body crumbles to ash as Phoebe successfully breaks Inki from her restraints.
Inki: Finally, sitting up there while you two fought so hard was frustrating.
Phoebe: Now we have an opportunity to fend off the enemies and free the others.
Before anyone else can say anything the golems return looking as if they have received no damage.
Inki: You free the others, Jake and I will handle the fakes.
Phoebe: Alright, but you two be safe.
Back with Rugar he's slamming his head into everything around him, he growls and groans as if he is trying to regain control.
Rugar(Thinkin): Common damnit, gain back control.
He keeps running his head through any and all structures he passes. Eventually he drops to his knees. He roars so loud the whole mountain shakes from it, he then slams his head hard in the ground cracking the area and leveling houses in the area. He does this several more times before stopping just before his head hits the ground a final time, he takes a few deep breaths before coughing hard ejecting some of the blood out of him. His eyes focus and he grows a sinister smile, he looks up and flexes, cracking his bones and changing the shape of his body to be more compact yet strong, his wings remaining out giving him an almost fallen angel look. He exhaled deep and slow, almost taking pleasure in it.
Rugar: Now that's better.
An explosion in the distance gets his attention and he slowly looks over towards it and smiles.
Rugar: Don't have too much fun without me, hero.
The battle between Jacob's team and the golems is intense with neither side gaining any ground. Phoebe has successfully freed Mirai, Roxy, Raily, and Rose. Sylvie is being freed by Roxy and Ale by Rose while the others fight against the golems overwhelming them.
Mirai: No matter how many times we destroy them they keep coming back.
Raily: Most golems are durable but once destroyed don't come back.
Phoebe: These aren't regular golems.
Jacob: Regular or not, the fact that they have the faces of our departed comrades pisses me off, and we will ensure they don't get up. DIAMBLE JAMBE!
He kicks the golem Gunnar is his shield smashing it and the golem's upper torso, and it falls to the ground for a few moments before regenerating and jumping back up and continuing to fight. The fight goes on for a few more minutes before both golems stop moving and in tandem jump backwards away from the group. In an instant Rugar crashes behind the golems surprising Jacob and the girls.
Rugar: I'm sorry for that disgraceful act earlier, I don't know what came over me.
Jacob: Could it be that I was beating you so bad you had to drink another vial of that blood?
Rugar's smile dropped to a scowl and he tightened his fists which cracked loudly.
Jacob: Struck a nerve didn't I?
Rugar composed himself and took a deep breath before smiling revealing his teeth have become more sharp and his eyes are black.
Rugar: I will admit your improvement in just four months did catch me off guard, but now is the time to finish this properly. GO MY GOLEMS KILL THE WOMEN!
The golems rush towards the girls while Rugar blitzes to Jacob punching him hard in the stomach and sending him flying into the distant wall of the mountain. Jacob felt his consciousness fading when he heard a familiar voice in his head.
God: This isn't where your fight is supposed to end.
Jacob: Is that you?
God: Teamwork is how you will win this and your later battles. Trust in your companions as they trust in you.
Jacob: What, I do though.
God: Trust them, and you will succeed.
The voice of God fades and Jacob notices that Rugar is flying at him with his claws extended. Before the attack could land Jacob flipped on the wall and launched into Rugar turning his head into iron and headbutting Rugar hard sending him flying to the ground, cratering it. The headbutt actually cracked the iron on Jacob's head causing him to rub it.
Jacob: Gah damn what is his head made of?
The sound of thunder in the distance gets Jacob's attention and he begins running towards, however the head injury he sustained caused him to experience vertigo for a moment and he collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
God(Distantly): teamwork.
Jacob: Yeah, yeah I got it, just give me a damn second.
Jacob forced himself up, and shook off his disorientation. Rugar flies out of the crater with blood on his head, he also seems to be a little disoriented but gets over it quickly and looks over at Jacob who is still propping himself up, Rugar shouts at Jacob.
Rugar: THIS ISN'T OVER HERO .
Jacob looks up and sees Rugar flying right at him.
Jacob: This is beyond annoying.
He tightens his fist which lights on fire with lightning sparking around it.
Jacob: LIGHTNING FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST.
He throws the punch as Rugar throws his own punch that has bones poking out of his fists to do penetrating damage. They each land their punches sending them flying in opposite directions. Jacob is feeling as if his organs are contracting to the point he feels like he's going to throw them up. He crashes through a standing wall from a fallen house behind the battle between the girls and the golems. Rose notices Jacob on the ground and rushes over to him.
Rose: Darling are you okay?
Jacob looks at her and for a moment she looks like a wave of blurred shapes and her voice isn't clear.
Jacob: Rose?
Rose: I'm here darling.
Jacob: Help me up, please.
Rose puts her arm under Jacob's arm and helps him to his feet, his vision starts to come back and he sees that the girls are getting tired while the golems are moving as if nothing has happened the whole battle.
Rose: We're getting nowhere fast in this battle. Everytime we destroy them they pop out of the ground again, even if we destroy every piece of them it doesn't matter.
Jacob: The General is also not going down.
Rose: What do we do?
Jacob(Thinking): What can we do?
The echo of the voice of the god pops into his head again "Teamwork". His eyes widen and he looks at Rose then back at the other girls.
Jacob: I might have an idea, but I need the other girls over here as well.
Rose: What are you thinking of?
Jacob: Something I've never tried before. GIRLS I NEED YOU.
The wives look back at Jacob and run towards him.
Phoebe: What is it dear?
Jacob: Look we're all struggling in this fight, but I might have a way to end this fight with the general and the golems.
Mirai: What are you thinking?
Before Jacob can say anything Rugar crashes by the golems holding what looks like a spine in his hand with a bladed tip.
Rugar: No more running hero, we will finish this fight here and now.
Jacob looks at Rugar then the girls who look at him with worried expressions, he returns their looks with a confident smile.
Jacob: Girls I need you to get behind me and hold on.
Confused, the girls do what he says, putting a hand on his back.
Jacob: You're right General, we will finish it. But I won't be fighting alone anymore, my family and I will destroy you and those golems. STAR CHANGE.
In an instant the light of a star shines below the entirety of Jacob's team and all are transformed, each wearing an outfit of the Kyurangers.
Jacob: It worked!
Sylvie: What are we wearing?
Roxy: And why do we all look so different?
Jacob: I'll explain in detail later just know you each have a unique power. The information of how to use your powers should be transferred into your brains. Now let's destroy them once and for all.
The girls agree and they charge Rugar and his golems. They pull the weapons of the Kyurangers out and begin fighting. Ale, Inki, and Mirai attack golem Gunnar while Sylvie, Rose, and Raily take on golem Norae. Jacob with the help of Phoebe, and Roxy tag team Rugar.
Rugar: 3 on 1 isn't very honorable hero.
Jacob: Says the guy who's taken the demon equivalent of steroids to gain an edge after being beaten twice.
Rugar dodges the trio's attacks as best as he can but the pressure eventually causes him to release his wings and fly high. Ale looks over and flys over and using the Kyu Shot, shoots Rugars wings sending him crashing to the ground.
Jacob: Thanks for the assist Ale.
Ale: Of course.
She flies back to help Inki and Mirai while Jacob, Roxy and Phoebe rush him. Roxy uses the Kyu Claw to slash Rugar.
Jacob: Roxy catch.
She catches a blue ball that he had thrown to her.
Roxy: What do I do with this?
Jacob: Place it on the Claw.
She does so and a voice comes from it shouting GALAXY. The Claw then glows and she slashes him leaving a burning deep gash on his chest. Rugar looks at his wound as he bleeds profusely and his healing is even slower than before.
Rugar: What kind of power is this?
Jacob: It's our power, and your body can't keep up with the damage anymore.
Rugar erupts into a rage and grows the claws on his hands to such length they're basically swords. He begins slashing at the trio who dodge him, Jacob attaches a red sphere to his sword causing it to shout GALAXY.
Jacob: REGULUS IMPACT
He brings the sword down hard into the ground and it causes a wave of power to rush and hit Rugar, slashing him in his torso sending blood gushing out. Rugar fights his body to heal itself, his torso seals but leaves a crude and nasty scar.
The fight between the three teams is long and arduous, the golems are still putting pressure on the two teams, but the girls are pushing them back.
Mirai: Even with this power Jake gave us these golems won't stay down.
Inke: We even destroy them to nothing but they keep coming back.
Ale: Maybe we need to destroy them and their creator.
Mirai: If we can get over to Jake and the others we can end this.
Ale: I'll notify the girls of the plan.
Inke: Alright, we'll head over to Jake.
Ale flies over to Rose and the others who are in a similar situation, Raily uses the Kyu Spear to slash and stab golem Norae who falls apart only to reconstitute a few seconds later.
Raily: We're getting nowhere with this.
Ale: HEY, WE HAVE AN IDEA.
Raily, Rose and Sylvie turn their attention to Ale who lands next to them.
Sylvie: What's the idea?
Ale: No matter what we do these golems don't stay down, we think that the only way to finish them is to defeat their creator.
Rose: So we need to help Jake, Phoebe and Roxy.
Ale: That's what we believe.
Sylvie: Let's do it then.
Ale: I'll fly over to Jake and the others and let them know.
She jumps in the air and soars over to Jake, Phoebe and Roxy who are rushing Rugar. He is using a bone whip to keep the trio from getting too close, when the whip hits anything it destroys it. He brings the whip back for another crack when Ale lifts her Kyu Shot and fires shots at Rugar destroying the whip and scorching his hand. Jacob looks back to see her landing behind them.
Jacob: Your assists are amazing.
Ale: Thank you.
Phoebe: What brings you over to this fight?
Ale: We are getting nowhere with these golems, but we think we know how to destroy them completely.
Jacob: Let me guess, it involves him.
Ale: Yes, we need to destroy him and they should go too.
Roxy: Well we're struggling with that just like you are with the golems.
Ale: That's why we're headed over to help.
Jacob looks in the distance and sees the other girls running and fighting the golems making their way to Jacob's group. Rugar regrows his hand but the fingers take longer to regrow, he looks at the group and sees the golems.
Rugar: Golems, to me NOW.
In an instant the golems stop chasing the girls and disintegrate into the ground before erupting out in front of Rugar.
Rugar: Protect me golems.
The golems take a defensive stance waiting for an attack.
Jacob: We end this right now. GIRLS CATCH.
He throws each of the girls their own colored spheres and directs them to attach them to their weapons. They do and their weapons all shout GALAXY.
Jacob: Now REGULUS IMPACT
Raily: ANTARES IMPACT
Roxy: LUPULUS IMPACT
Sylvie: LIBRA IMPACT
Inki: ALDEBARAN IMPACT
Rose: HAMILLION IMPACT
Ale: ALTAIR IMPACT
Mirai: DORADO IMPACT
Phoebe: DRAGON CRUSH
They launched their attacks which enveloped the golems disintegrating them completely, Rugar jumped hard in the air trying to dodge it.
Jacob: Oh no you don't, HENSHIN
Jacob jumps in the air and transforms from Shishi Red to Ohma Zi-O. Rugar hears THE END IS NIGH, he looks and sees Jacob glowing in a gold and black blaze as he ascends higher than him.
Jacob: THIS IS THE END!
Rugar looks at Jacob with sheer terror as he can't do anything, OHMA ZI-O ULTIMATE ATTACK shouts from the heavens as Jacob comes flying down and kicking Rugar back to the blast Jacob and the girls launched. Once Jacob has pushed Rugar back into the explosion he leaps above him and brings his hands in front of him before bringing them to his side.
Jacob: I TOLD YOU, MY FAMILY AND I WOULD END THIS, FINAL KAMEHAMEHA!
He fires the blast at Rugar who is disintegrating in the combo, his face of terror switches to a smile as he shouts to Jacob and the girls.
Rugar: YOU AND YOUR FAMILY MAY HAVE DEFEATED ME, BUT AZRAEL AND HIS WON'T FALL LIKE THIS.
He laughs as he finally disappears from existence taking his golems with him. The girls de-transform and fall exhausted to their butts, Jacob falls flat on his back and de-transforms as well.
Phoebe struggles to her feet and walks over to Jacob worried about him, however when she sees his face he's smiling.
Phoebe: Are you okay?
Jacob: Exhausted, but never been better.
Phoebe smiles and sits next to him, she feels a wave of stress fall off and she too lays on her back.
Jacob: Are you okay Phoebe
Phoebe: After four months of anxiety, and losing dear friends it feels like we're actually moving a positive direction.
Jacob: Yeah, and once we meet up with Ron and Marco the positivity will keep up.
Phoebe: It will be nice to see them again.
They spend the next several minutes resting and Jacob explains the power they all used.
Mirai: Incredible.
Phoebe: I didn't know you could expand your power to us.
Jacob: Neither did I, my skill god just kept repeating "Teamwork" in my head so I thought I should try.
Rose: I'm glad you did, it felt like I could get a deeper look into your world and the things you like.
Roxy: The knowledge that was brought into my head from the transformation was almost unbelievable.
Inki: It was almost as if I could visualize a warrior in my head using the abilities before I did it.
Jacob: That might've been clips from the show I remembered leaking into your cortex.
Ale: Show?
Jacob: I guess since TV doesn't exist in this universe a good substitute would be the theater where stage plays are shown.
Mirai: Theater plays are very rarely shown since the demon countries return around 50 years ago, I've only seen one play and that was when I was a little girl.
Raily: They're also expensive so normally only high ranking individuals like nobles could see them.
Jacob: Man, well how about when you read books and you visualize the story in your head?
Sylvie: What about it?
Jacob: Imagine what you're seeing in your head while reading is shown in front of you, that's what a show is.
Roxy: That sounds amazing.
Jacob: Basically every power I've used is because of that.
Inki: Have we seen even half of what you can do?
Jacob: I normally use my favorite ones but I know for a fact I haven't used even a quarter of the powers I know of.
The girls are shocked hearing that he's used so little of his powers. Inki chimes in.
Inki: Weren't we supposed to be on a quest before this battle?
Jacob: Oh crap.
Mirai: The hydra.
Roxy: We forgot.
Phoebe: Well, we've rested up and I think we have the energy to beat it.
Rose: Yeah, let's go fight it.
The group enthusiastically get up and leave the village to take on their quest.
