A Tale of Two Brothers

Hey peeps, I don't own anything related to Sonic or his universe, that's SEGA and all other companies relevant to the creation of his various back-stories, and even though most of them have tanked it now that is besides the point.. Honestly, I actually own very little in this fic (next to nothing to be exact) but this is my story and even though I am using characters from Archie, DiC and SEGA I will be fleshing many of them out because they were only 2-dimensional so in many ways they will appear very OC.. Hopefully you'll beat with me! Anyway, I've bored you enough so enjoy... And let me know what you think!

DayDreamingDuma: That's actually what I like about the Sonic verse too but rather than create a whole new verse with new characters I find it easier just to create a new verse pulling bits and pieces from existing canons and merging them into a new format. It's not quite as creative but with so much existing already it seemed more believable of pull that material together. And yes, baby Knuckles was cute. I will be bringing him back soon. The echidnae seem to be a popular request. And no, due to their cautious nature no echidnas are present at the wedding..

Slayer666: Not really on deviantart much at the moment, hence the response to your note here. The echidnas will be up next but since they are all in hiding this story doesn't really focus much on Locke and Lara-Le..

Poll News: Ok, I did have a poll up asking if readers wanted a "love" scene between Jules and Aleena and 77% said yes. That's right, the perverts won people.. However, due to the T-rating and in respect to the 23% of readers who said no I have chosen to keep the scene tasteful.. So hopefully I have succeeded in doing that and you'll all let me know by the end of this chapter..

Chapter 29: Mr Hedgehog's Brand-New Wife

"With this candle, I shall always be your light in darkness and offer you safety and warmth..' Jules said clearly to the congregation of mobians gathered in the temple of Knothole. He placed the newly lit candle in the holder beside him "With these hands.." His hands clasped around the left hand of Princess Aleena's fingers continuing with his vows. "-I shall comfort you in times of sorrow and protect you in times of dread.." The cobalt-blue hedgehog then smiled widely at his bride as he took the small golden ring from the red pillow that King Ogilvie was holding as he stood before the hedgehog couple with a serene smile. "Before all I seal this promise.." He slipped the ring onto her ring finger so it sat neatly with her mother's engagement ring. "-and with this ring, I thee wed.." Princess Aleena smiled brightly as Jules Hedgehog sighed with relief, grateful he had managed to get through his wedding vows without messing up his lines. Even though he was wearing white gloves as he clasped her fingers she could tell through the slight trembling and their incredible heat that he had been nervous throughout speaking his vows. The lilac-furred female hedgehog with blonde quills gripped his other hand and looked giddy with happiness as her father turned to her. Princess Aleena then began to recite the same vows back to her beloved knight.

Once the vows were shared and Jules was wearing his wedding ring King Ogilvie smiled widely, placed a hand on the smalls of both Princess Aleena and Jules' backs addressing the congregation in Knothole temple.

"It brings me great pleasure to sanctify the joining of Princess Aleena Bernadette Hedgington and Sir Julius Theodore Hedgehog in matrimony before both gods and those here today bearing witness to their vows." King Ogilvie the Third let go of his daughter at this point and turned to Jules smiling tenderly, nudging him to his own daughter. "You many now kiss your bride.."

The cobalt hedgehog grinned widely not really needing the nudge from his new father-in-law to step up to Princess Aleena. He slipped his arms around her waist and pushed his lips to hers in a passionate kiss. He couldn't help the little purr that emanated from his lips as she kissed him back keenly, wrapping her hands around his shoulders, the sound of clapping and cheering came from all around as their friends and family cheered.

When the kiss was broken the newly married Hedgehogs smiled happily with their arms still holding each other close. The lilac-furred hedgehog giggled slightly.

"Heh, we're married now my darling.." Aleena uttered softly as they walked back up the aisle together arm in arm followed by Charles and Alicia with King Ogilvie bringing up the rear. Flower petal confetti was flying as Lulu and Missy both holding large baskets and letting the other wedding guests throw the confetti over the newly weds. As Jules flicked petals off his shoulders and received claps on the back from his friends for finally marrying Princess Aleena tossed her bouquet and a stunned Vanilla caught it. The cream coloured rabbit then flushed a bright pink and buried her face in the bouquet as the young Coffee Rabbit laughed nervously.

"Until death do we part Ali.." The cobalt hedgehog grinned back scooping up his bride and speeding off through the small settlement of Knothole towards the lake where Jules and his friends had spent the last few days preparing for the reception. The princess giggled giddily as she clung to her groom eager to see what he had in store for her.

The whole day passed quickly and before the newly-weds could believe it night was falling and everybody was leaving. King Ogilvie had left early using something that Princess Aleena had called Chaos Control taking the D'Coolette's with him. Tiger Stripes, the Walrus family and the Lion family had all departed together, many of the Knothole Dandies were camping out by the lake. Coffee Rabbit had been invited to stay with his girlfriend Vanilla at her parents house while Coca Cat and her little daughter Hershey were staying with the Acorns. Beauregard Rabbot had been true to his word, coming to the reception party and had shook Jules' hand even though he seemed very unsure what to think of Aleena herself. When he decided it was time for his girls to leave Jules had been surprised when his brother Charles decided to walk home with them saying he wanted to talk to Beauregard.. The cobalt-blue hedgehog hadn't argued but watched confused as his brother left with the Rabbot's.

After wishing the last of their guests a safe trip home Jules scooped Aleena up into his arm and carried her back to his ancestral home, carrying her over the threshold easily and standing her up in the small hall.

"It's much smaller than your used to I know but Knothole really is the safest place for us to start married life.." Jules said gently knowing by how late it was Charles would either be asleep or working on his robotic transformation device in the garage/basement.

"Oh no.. I like it.." Aleena responded smiling as she looked around. "It's so rustic and quaint.. I am happy to be anywhere as long as it's with you my dear.." She slipped her arms around his shoulders. "You can give me a real tour in the morning but it is getting late so why don't you show me to our room?" Her eyelashes fluttered before she lent in and kissed his smile.

"Oh.. Sure thing darlin'.." Jules drawled amiably picking her up once more and climbing the stairs taking her to what had once been his parents room. A few days previously he had redecorated the room ready for both of them to share and moved all his own stuff in from his smaller bedroom on the far side of the small house. Once inside the bedroom he set Aleena down on the bed and perched himself on the edge at a respectful distance. A small awkward pause fell between them once they were sat together. The cobalt hedgehog knew that as Aleena's husband they were supposed to consummate their union but he did not want her to feel as if she had no opinion on the matter..

"Y'know, I don't have to stay here tonight if your not ready.." He said breaking the small silence that had formed between them. "If you would rather I left, I don't mind.." At this point Jules pushed his hands as if to get up but immediately Aleena gripped the arm nearest her.

"No!" She exclaimed looking shocked before her intensely green emerald eyes softened into a warm purposeful look. "Stay with me... Your my husband, I am your wife.. This is your bed as well as mine.." The lilac-furred hedgehog pulled off her veil and dropped it on the floor then undoing her bun so her quills fell loose around her heaving chest and down her back, spilling over the bed.

"Ali... I don't want you to feel compelled to do anything your not ready for.." Jules started as Aleena edged a little closer to him, her fingers stroking the lapels of his suit. "I can wait.." She suddenly gripped him by the jacket and pulled him into a sweet kiss eliciting a soft groan from Jules as his hands slipped around her.

"Jules, could you help me with my dress?" The blonde hedgehog asked slightly breathless as she broke the kiss, choosing to let him figure out for himself that she was more than ready for what was about to happen. He didn't need to know that she had been trying to imagine what it would be like for the last few weeks..

At these words Jules Hedgehog gulped and smiled nervously.

"Heh, alright then.." He uttered feeling a mild sense of deja vu about the situation letting his trembling gloved fingers raise up and begin to unlace the back of Aleena's white dress. The cobalt hedgehog breathed slowly as he kept control of himself feeling his heart hammer in his chest. Once he had loosened the top of Aleena's dress she turned to face him, his arm automatically encircling around her body. Their noses rubbed before moving as lips connected, tongues exploring as the kiss deepened. The hum of chemistry seemed to fill the air, body temperatures rising, pulses racing and breathing quickened as Jules raised a still gloved hands cupping her face to better control the kiss. His tongue probed her mouth, darting in quick flicks then slicing across her mouth. His skill caused Aleena's breath to hitch and he gave a small hum of satisfaction. In response to this the cobalt-blue hedgehog turned away from her lips and began kissing her neck causing the blonde-quilled hedgehog to gasp and start to pant. As his kisses continued to leave a slow trail down to her shoulder Jules' hands peeled back the dress exposing a little more skin before stroking the soft exposed fur of her back. Once his fingers reached her dress-covered rear they skimmed over her hips and began swiftly hitching up her floaty skirt.

"You've done this before, haven't you?" Aleena's soft breathy voice asked as she blushed pink and instantly Jules' warm hazel eyes opened. He straightened slowly pulling lips back from her skin as his fingers froze now holding her exposed knees apart. The blonde-quilled hedgehog could tell that he did seem to have knowledge of how to please her which could only be gleaned from some kind of past experience.

"Yeh, a little.." Jules said nervously still holding her by the knees and letting his thumbs stroke her. "Alice and I kinda fooled around a few times but we, uh, we never went all the way." His hazel eyes flashed with concern under the anxiety as he studied her flushed face. "D-does that bother you?" He couldn't change his past and he had no regrets about the things he had done with Alicia during their three year relationship. That was then, this was now and this felt completely different to before..

"No... I guess not.." Aleena responded after a moments thought still breathing sharply from his caresses, she wasn't sure if she wanted to know how far Jules had gone with Alicia. What would it change? She had married him because she loved him and she wanted this to happen. She still wanted it to happen but perhaps it was just her nerves about being able to be what he wanted her to be that were kicking in. "It's just obvious to me that you have done this before.." She added blushing a little deeper.

"Aleena.." Jules sighed then narrowed his eyes tenderly. "You know how I feel about you, I wouldn't have married you if I didn't want to be with you.." He leaned in purring softly and pushing his lips to Aleena's with gentle reassuring passion letting his tongue tease her again. The kiss was short and his breath ragged. "Just relax and let me love you.." His voice was low and husky before his hot lips returned to hers and he gently pushed her back against the pillows. As his kisses grew more passionate his fingers moved from her knee with teasing touches and in one swift movement her wedding dress was off and on the floor..

At this point the bedside lamp was clicked off and as the room plunged into darkness Aleena heard the sharp snapping sounds of Jules' gloves coming off his hands. This was followed by the rough touch of calloused fingers against her soft skin and running through her lilac fur. As his lips and tongue kissed a path downwards his teasing fingers moved up her soft furred legs. Aleena moaned and gasped at his touches, the darkness hiding her flushed overheated face. Wanting to return his touches her lithe pale fingers trembled as they started to unbutton his shirt. They stroked his tanned chest running to the dip of his abdomen feeling his strong muscles. She could feel his heartbeat racing just like hers was, hear his heavy breathing and feel him now straddled over her.

Jules sat up a little and ripped his shirt off letting out a low husky groan at the feeling of her fingers as she traced the edge where the tanned skin of his abdomen met his cobalt fur. He leant down over Aleena but didn't touch her, still panting as he allowed her to explore him. The cobalt hedgehog felt his own breath hitch as her touch ran a little lower and he heard a small exclamation of excitement come from her, clearly she was liking this new sense of power she had over him. Growling now Jules slipped his hands behind her back and held her close so that he could feel her sweet breath on his skin..

"You ready for this baby?" He breathed heavily feeling himself throb with desire as he rubbed up against her.

"Yes..." She sighed as she rested her hands on his shoulders, her lips kissing his trying to convey how much she wanted him through it as her knees drew up around his hips...

...The sun streamed in through the small crack in the curtains of the double-frame window of the master bedroom of the Hedgehog cabin. As the light glittered through Jules' cobalt-blue fringe his warm hazel eyes opened slowly and as the room came into focus he could feel the weight of his new wife on his chest, feeling Aleena curled against him with one leg wrapped around his. Jules stretched a bit and his movements caused his new wife to stir, rousing from her sleep. Aleena lifted her messy bed-head of blonde-quills and blinked her bleary green eyes drowsily before looking up at her new husband.

"Hey.." The cobalt-blue hedgehog uttered with the edge of a smirk.

"Hi.." Aleena replied in a soft sleepy voice letting her dainty pale fingers stroke his chest as she leant comfortably on his shoulder. She nuzzled into his neck and cuddled him sighing. Jules' ungloved hands held her close still under the covers and stroking her back.

"Hmm, how about I make us some breakfast?" Jules said pushing his lips to hers.

"That would be lovely.." Aleena responded smiling sweetly, kissing him back and then moving off him and snuggling down into the bed, covering her nude body further with their duvet. Jules smirked lightly and pulled himself out of bed, immediately pulling on a new set of gloves and sports socks. His lilac-furred wife sat up a little watching this behaviour curiously.

"You don't like your nails, do you Jules?" Aleena asked remembering how he had only removed his gloves only after turning out the lights the night before and now he was putting gloves on the first chance he got. It was obvious this was the issue..

"No, not really.." Jules responded dismissively. "They're thick, real tough and black. Just stay here, I'll bring us breakfast.." He added quickly changing the subject and heading out the bedroom door. Aleena sighed as she flopped back onto the bed after her husband's quick exit listening to the tweeting of the birds in the branches outside the window..

"Hey Charlie, you want me to-" Jules paused as he opened his brother's bedroom door only to notice that his bed had not been slept in. Realising that his older brother must have spent last night in the basement with his project the cobalt hedgehog then headed downstairs and opened the basement doorway under the stairs. He only stepped down enough steps to see into the basement where his mild-blue quilled brother was busy working on the base controls of the huge circular platform of the robotic transformation device. He had roped in Jules and his immense strength to help get the machine parts to the family home basement.

"Were you down here all night?" Jules asked curiously at his older brother, spying the makeshift bed on the floor.

"Mhm, it was your wedding night. I just wanted to be out of your way.." Charles replied making Jules smirk as he lent on the railing of the stairs in just his gloves and socks.

"Charlie, you coulda gone to bed. There is a bathroom between your room and ours, you wouldn't have heard anything." The cobalt hedgehog grinned wolfishly in amusement and this made Charles roll his soft blue eyes. He knew exactly what his little brother had gotten up to the night before, it was obvious by his lazy smirk and casual stance, even without his flippant remark.

"Did you come down here for a reason? Or just to tell me that you successfully bedded your wife.." The mild-blue older hedgehog asked throwing his brother a slightly impatient look, as if Jules was interrupting his thought process.

"Charlie.." Jules sighed, his smile faltering at his brother's words and throwing him hurt look.

"What?" Charles said frowning now.

"Look, I know you don't like the fact that I married her but you-" The cobalt-blue hedgehog started.

"Jules!" The oldest Hedgehog brother slammed down his tools and turned to face his little sibling. "I'm not mad about you marrying her. I'm just worried about you. You've no idea exactly what you've gotten yourself into by marrying the king's daughter." Charles looked upset. "You said it yourself the King of Mobius took it upon himself to manipulate your career. He used me to find out if we truly are descendants of the missing prince. He chose you to marry his daughter long before you were knighted. Clearly he only picked you so that it would restore the family line.. It frightens me that you would go along with this despite the fact that King Ogilvie only cared about that fact."

"So what if he did. I didn't marry her because her father wanted me to." Jules replied softly moving to the bottom step and sitting on it as his ears dipped. "I married her because I love her Charlie and she loves me. I want to be with her, we spoke about this before. My feelings for her never died.. Come on, I thought I had your support on this.." His hazel eyes looked up pleadingly at his brother.

At his words Charles sighed with one hand resting momentarily on his head before he sat on the step beside his little brother.

"You do.. But I can still worry about you, right?" The mild-blue hedgehog wrapped an arm around his brother. Jules smiled a little, narrowing his eyes and lifting his ears.

"Don't ever stop Charlie-Boy.." He said lightly sounding more like his usual upbeat self. "But um, do you think you could try to get to know my wife a little. I think you'd like her, just ignore the fact that she is a princess.." Jules' expression softened as he implored his brother, nudging him playful. "Just do it for me, would you?"

"Hrrrmm.. Alright, fine. I'll try.." Charles replied cause Jules to hug him.

"Thank you. So anyway, how about some breakfast?" The cobalt hedgehog let his brother go. "I'll make it for you and bring it here. I gotta get back to my wife anyway.." He winked smiling brightly.

"Sure. That sounds good Jules. I just need to see if I can get this control pad running.." Charles got up from the step and returned to the circular pad he had been working on before his little brother had interrupted him. The cobalt-blue hedgehog smiled watching his brother return to work before getting up and dashing back upstairs to go and make breakfast..

Little Notes:

Hey people, heh, must admit I am so glad I have a computer screen to hide my blushes. Love scenes are not a natural thing for me so writing Jules and Aleena in this one was pretty difficult... I really hope it lives up to what some of you were hoping for..

Anyway, first time I have mentioned Charles' invention which of course will be back again soon.
