I should say this now, but I will be implementing some things in the story that I think will be interesting. Here are some things I may try to consider.

1. I know that sometimes when I am reading fanfiction, I see that some of them have Elite Jonin as a rank so that is what I will be doing to and the order of it will be this.

1) Genin

2) Chunin

3) Special Jonin

4) Jonin

5) Elite Jonin

2. I will be having characters that I think were underutilized in the main story be stronger than they were in canon. They include Iruka, Izumo, Kotetsu, Genma, Aoba, Ebisu, Anko, Kurenai, Yugao, and people along those lines.

3. I am also going to introduce the Shadow Clone training regimen but it's not going to be like 1 billion clones to train and all that. It is going to be slow, and I will put more restrictions on it cause imagine Naruto training with 1000 shadow clones at 12 years old and then gaining all those memories and experiences. It would be unfair and that would make the fanfic boring. I want to make it a process, not a two-second journey.

I thought I would let you know that. I am not 100% sure how I am going to go about that. That and this will likely be a harem story. I do not know the pairings for it, but I will come up with something eventually. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you have an incredible day.

Chapter 2: Asking for Much Needed Help

Naruto awoke after a semi-decent night of sleep and went to rinse off in the stream. It was weird doing that because it was out in the open, but it wasn't at the same time. The colder water did not bother him as he hadn't had hot water in so long, he had just gotten used to it. He dried off in the stream and changed his clothes thinking about something.

"Man, I am stupid, aren't I? I could just ask Iruka-sensei. He has been my sensei for years and he could help with what I need to work on. There is no way Kakashi-sensei knows about my weaknesses and strengths yet." He thought happily.

He ran his way to Training Ground 7 to wait for his sensei to show up.

After another 2 hours of waiting for his sensei, he finally made his appearance. "How are my cute little Genin today."

"YOU'RE LATE," yelled a fuming Sakura and Naruto.

"Oh sorry, I forgot how to get out of my bed today, so I had to wait until I remembered to do so," said an eye smiling Kakashi.

"LAIR!" yelled Sakura.

"Anyway, how about we start the day with some awesome team formation training," said Kakashi.

Naruto liked this type of training Kakashi was giving them. Well, it was more like learning how to do something, but he had learned many formations that as a team were going to use for the future. These were for teams of four, but they were none of the less useful. He learned the Diamond Formation where sensei was in the bottom part of the diamond followed by the 3 Genin in the other areas. The Line Formation where the three Genin were in the front followed by the sensei in the back. There was the Square Formation where it didn't matter where everyone was. Finally, there was the formation for when they were attacked, the Triangle Formation where they would form a protective circle around the client or clients.

After about 2 hours of practicing the same thing repeatedly, Kakashi stopped them saying, "Well, I say that we should start our first mission. Now come along, this will be your first mission as a team."

Naruto cheered as they would finally do something worthwhile. As much as he enjoyed formations, it bothered him to no end when you know something by heart, and you just keep doing it.

Team 7 slowly made their way to the Hokage Tower to receive their first mission when Naruto noticed the villagers were glaring at him. He hoped no one would ask him about that because that would be a bit of a harder explanation. Thankfully, they had kept to themselves, but they finally were in the Missions office where they saw other teams waiting.

Teams 8 and 10 were near the door. When Kiba saw Team 7 come closer he decided to make a jab near Naruto.

"Huh, look what dog dragged in, the dead last of the graduating class," said Kiba barkingly. Akamaru yipping in agreement. Naruto just shook his head and ignored him. He did not need this right now. He was having a decent day, and he did not need Kiba of all people harping at him for something he could not help.

"Hey, dead last, I was talking to you," he said walking over to him. He was stopped by someone pulling on his ear from his sensei. She was smiling a little too nicely.

"Now Kiba-kun, you need to learn to respect your comrades, or do you want me to show you that Genjutsu again," Kurenai said tone low enough for only him to here.

"N…no ma'am," Kiba said turning around quickly and being quiet now. Yesterday Kiba had commented on how hot his sensei was and let's say she had put him in a Genjutsu that would traumatize most for life. It was a genjutsu that put them in their worst fear and in Kiba's case it was cats.

Team 10 and Team 8 eventually got their chosen missions, and it was now Team 7's time to get an awesome mission. They had walked into the office to see Iruka helping Lord 3rd with distributing missions out to the chosen teams.

Naruto given his foxy grain was glad that he was now able to knock out this discussion with Iruka and get some advice and maybe some help.

"Well, Team 7 we have a variety of missions today for you. So, are you ready for your first mission?" asked an amused Hiruzen.

"Yeah, old man, hit us with anything," said an excited Naruto.

Sakura smacked on the backside of the head screeching at him, "You idiot respect the Hokage!"

Sarutobi started to chuckle at the display, "Oh Sakura-chan, it is quite alright, I have known him for years, so he has a right to call me that. I would find it weird if he didn't."

It didn't show on Sakura's face, but it annoyed her. "Why is it that Naruto knew the Hokage as if he was family?" She thought quizzically.

"Anyway, Lord Hokage, I think that we would like a pretty simplistic mission for today. How about you pick a random scroll for us," asked Kakashi nose-deep into his book.

"Oh sure, Kakashi-kun. Let me see here…Ah ha, your first mission…will be," Naruto and Sakura couldn't wait in anticipation anymore. They were too excited with Sasuke even staring intently hoping for something interesting.

"…to paint a fence for Ms. Tokinaku," said Hiruzen with a straight face.

All 3 Genin face faulted and couldn't believe that this happened. Paint a fence? What kind of mission is that?

"Oh, and Naruto-kun I want to speak to you in private, please. You three may wait outside for him," said Hiruzen Sarutobi in a more serious tone or as Naruto dubbed the Hokage voice.

Sakura and Sasuke looked at him questioningly but left the office. Hiruzen just stared at Naruto with Naruto doing the same. Hiruzen then started to chuckle. Naruto started to give a light glare.

"What's so funny old man?" Hiruzen stopped laughing. "Oh Naruto-kun, when you are as old as me, you find joy in the smallest things. That being your reaction to D-rank missions. Such as painting the fence. That doesn't mean it isn't important though." Naruto nodded in understanding. That doesn't mean he didn't have to like it.

"But for why you are here. I would like to give you something for when you come back from your mission." Hiruzen then pulled out a scroll and showed Naruto. Naruto looked at it in curiosity.

"What is this?" he asked looking at it from multiple angles. "Well, Naruto-kun since you stopped Mizuki from transporting the Forbidden Scroll to Orochimaru. I thought why not allow it to be an A-rank mission pay and an A-rank mission on your record."

Naruto's eyes were like saucers. An A-rank mission. That would be a lot of money to last for a long time. He then started to jump up and down happily. "Thank you so much, Gramps!" The aged Hokage returned to him with a genuine smile on his face. He was proud and a 12-year-old ninja completing an A-rank mission is incredibly impressive on someone's record.

Naruto got back up and asked happily, "How much money is in here?" Hiruzen answered "There is around 12,000 dollars in there. You should be well-stocked for a while."

"Thank you, so much old man. I appreciate it. That and I have something to ask you Iruka-sensei and old man for when I come back from the "mission," as he used finger quotes around the word mission.

The old man laughed as well as Iruka, "Alright Naruto-kun, go do the mission and I will hand you the scroll along with us answering your questions."

"Oh, and um, what happens if people don't like it when I'm there because of the…" as Naruto was patting his stomach to signify what he was talking about.

Hiruzen understood and nodded, "Well, we will know about that, trust me. Civilians are forced to write feedback reports to see how the job was done. If they complain about you, we will know why but that will not go on with your record for obvious reasons. So, no need to worry."

"Sounds good old man, I'll see you in a few hours." With that, Naruto left the room leaving the two alone together.

"It appears that Naruto has become a lot more serious as of late," noted Iruka.

"That he has, maybe he will begin to start taking his career seriously," said Hiruzen stuffing his pipe with tobacco.

After traveling a fair way away, the team made it to Ms. Tokinaku's house they saw that she was already sitting out near the front awaiting them. She looked up and it appeared that she was a middle-aged woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She gazed upon the team and then laid her eyes on Naruto. She started to glare right at him, and Naruto evaded her stare.

"Yeah, now I think about there is probably a reason why her name is Ms. This is going to suck." He thought.

"Well welcome to my humble abode. I will show you the fence," she said, leading the way to the backyard.

"Well, the outside portion of the fence is already painted so you all just need to paint the interior of it, and you should be good to go. The brushes are in the shed along with the paint," she said cheerfully. They all began to paint the fence in different areas, and it would be nice if it wasn't so hot. As much as he loves his outfit. It was very insolating, making him very hot on this very hot day.

About an hour had passed since they had started to paint, and Naruto and the others were dying now. It didn't help that Kakashi was under the cool shade of the tree reading his book while they slaved away. Naruto had taken off his jacket and was wearing a shirt and pants now and took a few second break, grabbed his water bottle from his jacket, and took a few drinks. He wiped the sweat from his brows and got back to work.

The other two were not fairing as well as him where they were thirsty. The difference was Sasuke was able to hide it better than Sakura. "It is very hot out how about you all take a drink I made," Ms. Tokinaku said coming out with only three drinks from her house. Sakura and Sasuke came over as well as Kakashi with all three of them taking a drink. None of them seemed to notice that Naruto was still painting the fence and Naruto didn't notice the drinks being served to his teammates. It was probably for the best anyway. After a few thank yous, Ms. Tokinaku went back inside to get out of the heat. A few more hours and the fence were done. The newly minted Genin were covered in splotches of white paint and were tired from the heat and the hard work. Ms. Tokinaku made sure to thank the sensei Sasuke and Sakura but not Naruto. Sasuke took notice of this and decided to voice his opinion.

"Hey dobe, did you not do a good enough job to be thanked or what," he said hoping for a reaction.

"Yeah idiot, what did you do deserve her ire. She was so nice," asked Sakura.

"I am not sure, but maybe she didn't like me or something," replied Naruto casually hoping this discussion was going to be dropped soon.

"Makes sense dobe, you would be the one to not be liked."

"Yeah, Sasuke-kun is right," she said defending her crush.

Naruto was getting tired of this with Sakura and Sasuke berating him. Did he really want her to be his girlfriend and go on a date with her? This was his first official day as a team, and he didn't want to be a part of it. On top of that, no one mentioned anything leaving Naruto tied to the wooden post last night. He knew enduring was the only thing that he was able to do. After some more bickering from his teammates about not being like them they made it to the Hokage Tower to receive his mission pay. He wasn't as concerned about the mission pay as he was because he knew that he would have 12,000 big ones heading his way.

"Congratulations on the first successful mission Team 7 and here is your pay divided up between the three of you." Hiruzen then stood up and handed all of them the pay and Sakura couldn't be happier while Sasuke couldn't care less. He had an entire clan's worth of money. Naruto smiled slightly at his money. Even though it was about 50 dollars' worth, it was something. Now thinking about it 50 dollars to a clan member, a civilian who has a family, or anyone who has money is chum change. But 50 dollars to an orphan child with no money to his name is not a lot but a lot at the same time.

"Well Team 7 you are dismissed, and I will meet you at Training Ground 7 same time tomorrow," said an eye smiling Kakashi. With a puff of smoke, he was gone. Sakura and Sasuke left leaving Naruto in the Hokage Office with the scarred chunin and the old Hokage.

"So, Naruto-kun what was it you were going to talk about," asked Hiruzen as he got up to retrieve the scroll with Naruto's money from earlier.

Naruto started to scratch the back of his head nervously, "Ha ha, well you see, I realized when thinking about my training. Mizuki had taught me how to throw my kunai and shuriken as well as the Tiger Fist or the academy taijutsu style, so, likely, those things are not right." Both men's eyes widened. They had not considered that.

Iruka nodded, "Well if what you are saying is that you need help with the basics then yes, I can help you with that, that is the least I can do. How about you come to the academy around 5 pm and I can help you right away. This shouldn't take too long as you know most of it so we should be alright," said Iruka smiling at him.

"Thanks a bunch, and old man, is there a place that I can go to that will not kick me out for the fox, like a library and a ninja store." Hiruzen stared at him like he had grown an extra head. He was trying to better himself. He smiled, setting the scroll he was holding down and writing some information before handing the scroll and paper to him.

"Here you go my boy, this is the location of the Shinobi Library available to every shinobi in the village and before you ask, yes, the people who run are all run by shinobi so they will not harbor hatred toward you as I know them personally. As for the Shinobi store, you will not be kicked out of it. The store's name is The Dragons Den, and it is run by a man I know called Hiroto Higurashi with his wife and daughter who is around your age. I hope that this helps."

Naruto gives off his foxy grin, "It does, thank you both so much."

He was getting ready to leave when Sarutobi stopped him by placing a hand on his shoulder. Hiruzen was told by Asuma what happened to him last night and he was a little worried. Kakashi was known to do that, but Kakashi had tied Jonin Level Rope Knots and not Genin level. He had told him not to do that again or else he would revert to Chunin-level pay for a year. "Why is it that you changed so much and want to be better Naruto-kun."

Naruto with a serious expression replied, "Let's just say reality decided to slap me hard in the face. That and how I am supposed to be Hokage if I don't get better over time, you know."

Hiruzen chuckled, "You bring up a fair point Naruto-kun. How about you bring that home so that you can rest and get ready for the next amazing "missions" for tomorrow," said an amused Hokage.

"Ha ha, very funny, old man. I'll see you tomorrow," said Naruto shaking his head before running off.

Naruto, carrying his stuff ran home and when he got there, he laid down immediately. Boy, was he tired. He knew that his progression was going to be slow but steady. Taking one thing at a time is what was needed.

1 WEEK LATER

Naruto had been progressing at an excellent rate. Iruka has been helping him with his stances in kunai and shuriken throwing as well as fixing his taijutsu stance to mimic the actual academy stance rather than having whatever Mizuki was doing. Thankfully, Mizuki only made slight tweaks that they were able to fix within the given amount of time. He knew everything that a fresh academy graduate knows so he is now on the same knowledge base as the other graduates. Iruka was kind enough to help him relearn some of the stuff he may have missed out on but that would still take a while yet.

We find Naruto sitting along the stream fishing in thought. He was thinking about his next course of action. Kakashi-sensei had given them the rest of the day off for team practice and was trying to catch himself some lunch right now. He almost has a fish; he is just waiting for it to bite the hook. After a few moments, the fish bit the hook and Naruto yanked it out, catching it in his hand. It was a decent-sized fish, but he did not know the name of it; man, he needed to learn more, so he knew this type of stuff.

Naruto proceeded to put the fish on a stick and roasted it over the fire. He wouldn't lie, fishing and gathering wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. He saved money compared to what he ate at Ichiraku's three times a day. He tried to limit it to once or twice and it was still going to help him in the long run. Even though it had been a week since his team he got a pretty good price range for what he was paid on D-rank missions it was between the range of 50 dollars to around 75 dollars which he did not know what it was like.

So as of right now, he has a total amount of 12,675 dollars after everything he has paid for in food and everything. Unfortunately, Naruto has thought about trying to buy a new apartment and even has asked around, but he was overcharged severely when looking for one. He tried to get his old apartment back in the red-light district and the landlord charged the same rent plus you would have to pay nearly 4000 dollars just to buy it back. Naruto thought screw that and just went back under the bridge.

One thing he knew for sure was he would use his money for his ninja career so that he could get promoted to Chunin faster and could get paid more. This was also a situation that he was going to be in for a while so he would have to get used to it. He had livened it up in the little area under the bridge. The dirt table was no more as he had gotten it out and replaced it with a table, he had found thrown out by someone. It was slightly damaged, but it got the job done. He had also found a chair to use so the place was comfier than before.

He also has a new photograph of Team 7. Kakashi was in the middle giving an eye smile while having his arms wrapped around Naruto and Sasuke with Sakura in the middle. Sasuke gave a stoic face while Naruto gave a foxy smile with Sakura giving a smile as well. He thought it was a great photo, but it still didn't change the fact Sasuke had to say something degrading to him every time something was a minor inconvenience with Sakura backing him up. Naruto's crush on Sakura had lessened every day and he knew that if this kept up, he was going to move on.

After a nice lunch, Naruto decided to take a nice walk to the Shinobi Library the old man talked about. He needed a start on something, and he figured that the best area to start in would be either taijutsu, shurikenjutsu, and kunaijutsu, or something related to the chakra control Iruka-sensei was talking about. Iruka said he desperately needed to work on that. He was excited about the fact that he was going to learn something to help him become closer to Hokage, but that would be a long way away.

10 minutes later, he was standing in front of the library, and it appeared that nobody was even there. It was built on top of a hill with nice marbling structures surrounding the place with guards. The library was called The Hidden Leaf Village's Shinobi Library and Archives. It was as simplistic as it could get. He went inside to see the area had a front desk with a woman sitting behind it. She had looked up when she saw him entirely and she smiled at him.

She greeted him pleasantly surprised, "Oh welcome to the Shinobi Library and Archives young man. How may I help you today?"

Naruto just stared at her. This was the first time he was greeted like that in a long time by someone who wasn't the Ichiraku's. He had walked up to her scratching the back of his head. "Well miss, I have come here to look for something along the lines of chakra theory, taijutsu, and shuriken and kunaijutsu, you know."

The lady had just chuckled but a hand up to her face. "Oh well, I haven't been called miss in such a long time. Thank you for the compliment."

Naruto just stared at her. She had her hair done into a ponytail with two loose strands of hair coming down on either side. To him, she looked familiar. Naruto tilting his head to the side said, "You know I feel like I have met someone who is similar looking to you miss. You look like a friend I know; Shikamaru I think. You have the same facial structure as he does. Are you his sister or something?"

The lady was now giggling quite loudly slightly blushing, "Well Naruto-kun, I am his mother if you would like to know, Yoshino Nara to be exact. I am glad that you think that I look young enough to be classified as his sister though. Shika-kun has talked about you as well."

Naruto was now wide-eyed; there was no way this was his mom. "Oh, I am sorry Mrs Nara. I did not mean to do that."

"It is quite alright, but I will show you to the area you are after. I will have to explain to you the rules though," she said gesturing to follow him. Naruto followed her down the stairs. This place was huge. There was a total of eight floors just for books and the main area to read them in and he was honestly shocked about how many books were in the place. He did notice that there really was no one inside aside from a couple of upper-rank shinobi on the higher floors.

It was then Yoshino began to talk, breaking him out of his thoughts, slowly ascending down the stairs. "Well, you see Naruto-kun, there are a total of nine floors in the building dedicated to being a better shinobi. The place is divided up into five sections. The bottom two floors are dedicated to Genin shinobi though it is down to the basics. The next two floors above the Genin area are for the Chunin. The floor you came into was the main floor where you can check out the books as well as eat some food from the café here. The next two floors are for Special Jonin, followed by the top two floors being for Jonin Level ninja."

Naruto just stared at her as they continued to descend the stairs absorbing the information. "I should also mention that if you are to have permission from your sensei or the Hokage himself to allow you into certain areas above your authorization then that is allowed. You need to have a written signature from either or to do it though."

Naruto nodded excitedly as he made his way down the stairs. To the final floor where they need to go. The place was made with wood from across the country. There was oak, maple, cherry blossoms, and more. It smelt nice, like he was in a forest.

Yoshino extended out her hand showing him the area, "This floor and the floor above us are available for your use understood; and no jutsu use of any kind unless you are allowed to use it." Naruto nodded and thanked the woman. Yoshino walked off to let Naruto do his own thing. She smiled walking away.

"The "troublesome blonde" really is an enigma like Shika-kun says," thought Yoshino.

Naruto began to look for books. After a short while he had five books for himself. They were titled, "Shurikenjutsu and Kunaijutsu, the Underestimated Art" by Tobirama Senju, "Chakra Control for Beginners," by Hiruzen Sarutobi, "What is Chakra," by Tsunade Senju, "Chakra Theory," by Hiruzen Sarutobi, and "How to Improve Your Taijutsu," by Might Dai.

He laughed to himself slightly at the discussion he was having with Iruka-sensei during training yesterday.

FLASHBACK

"Thanks for the help Iruka-sensei in correcting me," said a slightly tired Naruto.

"No problem but remember you cannot slack off in what you know Naruto. Being this is the last review lesson that I have with you then I will give you some advice as well as what you should work on. You still want to know your weaknesses, right?" Naruto stared at him nodding.

Iruka cleared his throat, "Naruto it is not that you are weak or anything like that, actually it is far from it. You have tremendous chakra reserves for someone so young. You are twelve years old, and you have the same reserves as your sensei Kakashi."

"I thought that fox had a lot of chakras," said Naruto bewildered.

Iruka chuckled, "Well yes, he does Naruto, but you must realize that I am a sensor. I can sense your chakra and not yours with the foxes. The reason you were able to make almost 1000 clones was because you used the fox's chakra. Kakashi can create 50 shadow clones with all his chakra because of his reserves and his control. It is a two-way street Naruto remember that."

Naruto then stood up pointing an accusing finger at him, "HEY! IS THAT HOW YOU WERE ABLE TO TRACK ME DOWN AFTER MY PRANKS!"

Iruka was laughing full-on now, "Your damn right that's how. But back to the topic at hand."

"As I have said before stick to what you know and improve upon those skills until they are at a level that becomes like walking and chewing gum at the same time. You would be surprised how far you can get by sticking to what you learned from the academy. I am not saying that you can't branch your skills outward, but please remember to soak in as much knowledge as you can until it becomes easy to learn. I would say to stick with your chakra control, physical conditioning, and weapon throwing, and continue to expand your knowledge."

Naruto just nodded his head soaking up what you could from him. "I will take this on to be better Iruka-sensei," he said pumping his fist in the air.

Iruka smiled and patted him on the head, "I know Naruto, I know."

FLASHBACK END

Naruto started to read what he thought was most important and that was chakra control. He needed it and he knew he sucked at it. The leaf exercise was a basic requirement for an academy student to do and you needed to do it for 5 seconds to pass. He had barely passed that portion and he knew that it needed to be able to hold it longer. Sakura was able to hold it for 20 seconds but that was because of her superior control and not the capacity of chakra.

He had been reading the passage for nearly twenty minutes and that is when he found something interesting.

"Since the academy was built by my sensei's Hashirama and Tobirama Senju. Chakra Control has been an essential need for every ninja whether those reserves were average, small, or massive. I am sure that if you are reading this though you have done the Leaf Sticking Exercise by placing the Leaf upon one's forehead to hold there for as long as possible. However, there are more advanced stages to increase one's reserves and control. The 2nd stage is to stick the leaf on more parts of your body such as your fingers. However, I will say that you must have the leaf stuck to your forehead for 20 seconds before moving on to sticking it to your fingers. Otherwise, you will not have any effect on your control. I would stop here before reading any more so that if you have not completed this then you may be able to complete this stage. This is to also help with those with larger reserves so that they can do the tree climbing exercise."

Naruto had placed a bookmark in the book and sighed. In the words of Shikamaru, this was troublesome. He would have to find some time to train and learn what they heck this "Tree Climbing Exercise" was. He would get a proper schedule when he knew how to go about this properly. Naruto grabbed his water bottle to take a drink but realized that it was nearly empty. He sighed again until he had an idea. He formed the ram seal and summoned a shadow clone. There was no one there and the water fountain was across from the room.

"Go fill that up and bring it back to me please." The clone nodded and did the following task. Naruto then picked up the book about Shuriken and Kunai to get started on that and that is when the shadow clone set down the water bottle and dispersed. Naruto stopped his train of thought. Why did he remember what the clone did? It was very specific too. He remembered he filled up the bottle with water and walked back to the table. He just sat shocked for a few more minutes before he packed up the books and proceeded to check it out for himself. He made his way back up the stairs to check out the books for him to read.

He set down the books at the front desk when Yoshino started to scan them and talk to him while handing him a card. "Here you are Naruto-kun this is called a Library Genin Book Card. There are four cards in total. The Genin card is bronze, the Chunin card is in silver, the Special Jonin card is in gold, and the Jonin card is in a platinum color, and all of them signify the rank you are. With each card, you can check out a maximum of more books every time. For the maximum amount at each rank, Genin is 10 books, Chunin is 20, Special Jonin is 30, and Jonin is 40 or more. However, that is not the case most of the time as there are expectations as there are certain shinobi that need more information, and we can allow for more material to be checked out."

She finished scanning the books and placed them in a bag to hand to Naruto. "Thank you very much Yoshino-san and have a good day," he said waving a hand at her toward the exit. Yoshino waved back at him. She would have to tell her son about Naruto later and how he was bettering himself while he was just sitting on his butt all the time.

Naruto then carried the books with him to the nearest training ground he could find which was a training ground called Training Ground 29. It was a lot different from the Training Ground 7 he had been at with a lot more dense forests replaced with maple trees rather than the oak ones that laced Team 7's training ground. There also wasn't a river that was in their training ground. It still sucked that Kakashi hadn't even trained him or his teammates yet and that is what bothered him. Regardless of that, he was trying himself now and he doesn't need to worry about that bridge until it gets there.

He put down the books and formed the ram sign and a shadow clone puffed into existence. "Go a good distance away and dispel." The clone nodded and ran a good distance away from the original Naruto. After about a minute Naruto received the memories of the clone tripping flat on his face and him falling as well. Naruto felt his face but there was no pain. He then sat up excited. It was true, his clones were able to receive the memories of what he did. He could create clones to help him with training, but he knew he could make 1000 clones with the fox's chakra. How many could he make with his own?

"So, if Kakashi-sensei can make 50 clones with his chakra control and his chakra reserves. I obviously cannot create that many with my chakra. So, I guess I can probably make 5 or something. Maybe I'll start with five and make my way up. Then there is the issue about my strength and conditioning. I remember that when reading the scroll, it said that Shadow Clones are a chakra construct of the person itself, so I wouldn't think that training them physically would transfer over to me, so I guess I will have to do that myself."

He summoned 5 shadow clones and told them to go and grab a leaf. The clones then took off their headbands and placed the leaf on their head. While they were going to do that, he was going to read the book by this Might Dai fellow. His clones were groaning in frustration.

"Man, this sucks why do we suck at this?" asked Clone 1

"Because as Iruka-sensei said, we have a lot of chakras and it isn't going to be easy," said Clone 2.

"Yeah, we got to be better if we still want to be Hokage," exclaimed Clone 4.

"Yeah, I do not want to have Kakashi-sensei embarrassing us again," said Clone 3.

Every one of them shivered at that, even the real Naruto. He didn't want to experience that again. Though it wasn't all his fault. If most of the academy teachers had actually trained him properly in the beginning and ignored their hatred for him. He probably would have been rookie of the year. Naruto then looked back on all that happened at the academy. Now that he realized it, a lot of people didn't like him and only a few just tolerated him, but enough about that now, he would be better so he could be Hokage and prove everyone wrong.

After 6 hours of training his chakra control and reading over Might Dai's taijutsu book. His clones constantly bickered about being unable to hold it for long, but he would see how much he had improved. He dispelled the clones who still had a modest amount of chakra left in their system and the memories and training. Naruto noticed the slight backlash of memories and fatigue giving him a slight headache nothing that wouldn't blow over soon. He then picked up a leaf from the ground and placed it on his head to see how long it could go. He had gone from 5 seconds to 8 seconds. It was a lot better than what it was, and it was progress to what he could do prior. He smiled at the slight improvement and knew it would be a long journey to get to where he was going.

He gathered his things and continued his way home to catch a fish in the river and rest for the day.
