Chapter 9: Who I'd be
After saving Prince Stolas from Millie a dragon imp Stolas was elated to be free from his tower as he walked down the volcanos path "you did it you guys did it it was incredible, fantastic…*turns and sees Blitzo and Moxxie land on each other* a bit unorthodox but thy deed is great and your heart so pure *Bows* I thank you for rescuing me" he said as Blitzo and Moxxie got up "Hay what about me?" He demanded "Of course, the freind of the brave knight a very noble imp indeed" he said as Moxxie preened "You see that he called me a noble imp" said Moxxie as Blitzo rolled her eyes "Annoying is what I called you" she said "The battle is won, so you can de-transformed from your magical girl state and I can see who you are" said Stolas as Blitzo was concerned as she was a male imp.
"Ummm, I dont think so your hindness" she said "why not?" He asked "Uh, my hair in my real state is a mess and I look ugly" she said "But I must look on the true face of my rescuer" said Stolas "Why? I mean I could be a guy underneath"said Blitzo "Well I dont care how can we share our first kiss if I dont see the true face of my hero" said Stolas surprising and confusing Blitzo and Moxxie "Wait kiss?" She asked as she looked at Moxxie "Hold it that wasn't part of the deal" yelled Blitzo "Maybe its a perk of being a hero" said Moxxie as Stolas shook his head "No its destiny, you must know how the story goes a prince is locked up in the highest tower guarded by a dragon and saved by a brave knight and they share true loves first kiss" Stolas explained as the two were confused.
"Wait you think Blitzo is your true love?" Asked Moxxie "Of course why wouldn't she be" asked Stolas as both Blitzo and Moxxie laughed "You really think Blitzo is your true love!" Laughed Moxxie as Stolas got serious faced "And what is so funny?" He asked "Lets just say…I am not your type" said Blitzo as Stolas crossed his arms "Of course you are and as my rescuer now reveal your true form" said Stolas as Blitzo was worried "I really dont think that is a good idea your highness" said Blitzo warning him "De transform NOW!" Demanded Stolas firmly as Blitzo took a breath…and exhaled out her nose "Very well then" he said taking off the magical girl device…as in a flash became his true imp form with a smile.
"Your…your a imp?" Asked Stolas shocked that his rescuer was a imp as Blitzos smile dropped "What were you expecting Princess charming?" He asked as Stolas was confused well yes and *Holds his hands up* I mean I dont mind your species as we have hired imp servents but I didnt want to be rescued by a Imp!" Said Stolas as he walked off to a rock and sat down as Blitzo got mad "Well your royal highness you were rescued by a imp! And we were hired to take you to the kingdom of pride and the queen there is the one who wants you rescued and to marry you" said Blitzo "Then why didnt she come then?" Asked Stolas "That's a good question" said Moxxie "Well you can ask her when we drop you off" said Blitzo as Stolas shook his head "No I have to be rescued by my true love not some imp and his pet" said Stolas as Moxxie frowned "So much for being noble" said Moxxie upset "Uggg you are making it not easy you are coming with me to Queen Stella" said Blitzo as Stolas stubbornly refused. "Well your job isnt my priority nor do I care, you can tell this queen Stella that if she wants me I am right here and I am not moving from this spot" said Stolas as Blitzo had enough "Ok that is it, I am no messenger, I am a delivery boy!" He said storming over as Stolas glared you wouldn't dare!" He demanded but yelped when Stolas was picked up and tossed over shoulder by Blitzo a amazing feat done by the smaller to him imp "You coming Moxxie" said Blitzo "Coming sir" said Moxxie as the group went down a path.
"Put me down! NOW! I swear if you dont you will face the consequences! *Tries hitting Blitzos back but the imp was unaffected* This is undignified put me down! NOW!" He yelled and demanded as Blitzo rolled his eyes and continued forward.
Soon it was late in the afternoon as Stolas had finally calmed down and was now bored looking as shown by his sunglasses drooping over his eyes as Moxxie was asking for advice "Soooo there is this girl, who really likes me but I am not sure if I like her I mean she is strong, brave and beautiful, but how do I let her down gently to start softly without her…well attacking me" said Moxxie? "Explain to her that your not your true love" he said annoyed toned as Blitzo rolled his eyes "Really this true love crap" he muttered shaking Stolas a bit as he grabbed his sunglasses "Watch it, uggg the sooner we get to pride city the better" he said "Well you are gonna enjoy it it is very lovely for a town" said Moxxie "And what of my betrothed Stella?" Asked Stolas having a cute eyed look as Blitzo unceremonial dropped the prince as he offed "Well simply put your highness *Goes to a river to wash off* she is a glacial but even some glaciers have substance" said Blitzo "Heck she is more of a harpy then a swan" said Moxxie laughing and joking as Stolas was confused but pouted "Well your all jealous that you cant measure up to the greatness of Stella" said Stolas as Blitzo rolled his eyes.
"Well you can do all the measuring tommorow that is when we get to the palace" said Blitzo as Stolas eyes widened "Wait tommorow! *Sees the sunset* wait it will take that long? Cant we stop and camp?" Ask Stolas "Uh no that would take longer, we can keep going" said Blitzo mostly because he didnt want to be near the annoying brat that is Stolas "Sir maybe we should rest up" said Moxxie "Yeah I mean there maybe Robbers in the woods *Moxxie wahhs at that* which is a more reason to rest for the night" said Stolas "I can take care of those robbers easily since I can see in the dark, we just need to continue on…" Started Blitzo as Stolas lost his temper "I NEED TO FIND SOMEWHERE TO CAMP RIGHT NOW!" He yelled as he ran in front of the duo confusing them at the anger spike.
Later Blitzo with great strength moved a rock in front of a cave "Hay I founded somewhere to sleep!" Yelled Blitzo as Moxxie was admonish "Blitz this is literally a hole in the ground unfit for a prince, we should go find another place" said Moxxie as Stolas looked at the dipping sun "No no its perfect it just needs a finishing touch" said Stolas confusing the imps "What type of finishing…"started Blitzo as Stolas ripped a piece of bark from a tree large enough to be a door "Now I bid you goodnight" he said as he walked to the cave and used the bark as a door and closed it. "Would you care for a bedtime story?" Started Moxxie "I SAID GOOD NIGHT!" Yelled Stolas as the duo were surprised agiain.
Night soon came as Moxxie and Blitzo set up a fire as Blitzo showed Moxxie the patterns in the stars as he explained them "You know that our helleborn ancestors studied the stars and you can see there stories if you learn to pay attention to them" said Blitzo "It was a bit hard for me in the greed territory all the smokey clouds from pollution and who knows what else Mammon allows to happen but when My…Crimson took me out of the territory I got a brief taste of the stars before I was sold but I often wondered if the stars can tell the future…and if they could could they at least showed a better chance of life" said Moxxie "Not in the way you expect *Looks up* things are not as they appear not just in the stars" he said though the last part he mumbled as the two sat in silence.
"Hay Blitz, what are we going to do with our apartments when we get it back?" Asked Moxxie as Blitzo scoffed "Our Apartments?" He asked "Yeah like what are we gonna do when we are done rescuing the prince" said Moxxie as Blitzo rolled his eyes "Yea we'll I ant keeping you, I ant keeping anyone not even my own kind, its my territory and the first thing I am gonna do is set up a stronger fence to keep nosy helleborns, sinners and humans and hybrids out!" he said hugging his legs about facing Moxxie as the greed imp watched "That is harsh, that is sad and harsh" he said walking over to sit next to Blitzo "You know what I think I think you just want to keep someone out" he said as Blitzo rolled his eyes "Oh you think" said Blitzo sarcastically as he turned away "Are you hiding something?" Asked Moxxie "Leave it alone Mox" "Come on sir were working together I should know" asked Moxxie "No you dont its private and I dont have to tell you squat" he said reflecting "Is it one of those onion things?" said Moxxie confused "Its a stop asking and leave me alone thing!" Bakred Blitzo tears pricking as old feelings of his past were threatening to spill. "Sir please why are you blocking?" He asked "I am not blocking!" Asid Blitzo defensivo "You are so please tell me and let me help" said Moxxie.
"FINE! EVERYONE! I AM BLOCKING EVERYONE BECAUE I CAN NEVER BE LOVED OR CARED FOR!" Yelled Blitzo as Moxie was surprised as unknown to them a bright red eye peeked from the cave door slightly as Blitzo breathed heavily from his yell "I cant be loved, love always have a cost and people look at me a imp the lowest of the low class, my own father and siblings hated me and all I had was my mom and a imp named Frizzaroli, but after my mom died and Frizzaroli was badly hurt in a fire he was sold to some Ars goitia just to pay off the hospital bills and my dad and my siblings just hated me for existing, I had to leave the circus and live on the streets at ten, but no matter where I went everyone hated me because I cant trust anyone so I acted like a jerk…no one was patient with me nor bother to care to get to know me, the just judge me for my class and see me as a lessor born and never bother get to know me *Hugs his legs* that is why I deserve to be alone" he said as Moxxie was sad.
"Well…maybe as a way to cheer up why not imagine your self as someone else *Blitzo slowly un curls confused* I mean what about instead of you being a circus imp why not be someone else a diffrent person a diffrent career" said Moxxie as Blitzo thinks it over at the idea…something he never pondered before but it sounded like a good idea as he pondered it.
Blitzo: I guess I'd be a hero, with sword and armor clashing
Looking semi dashing a shield within my grip *Blitzo imagines himself dressed as as knight doing just that as out of his fantasy Moxxie gestured for him to go on*
Or else I'd be a viking, and live a life of daring…while smelling like a herring upon a viking ship
*It shows Blitzo dressed as a viking…then him discarding those to be dressed like a sailor (AN: Think the outfit Will turner wore in PoTC) as he looked on the helm out on the ocean.*
I'd sail the way, I'd see the worlds I reach the farthest reaches I'd feel the wind I taste the salt and sea
And maybe storm some beaches *Goes to reality as Blitzo closed his eyes imagining it as he opened them feeling something* That's whoo I'd be, that's who ide be.
The taller serpent like imp then grabs a piece of bark and using a burnt stick started to write as Moxxie watched
Or I could be a poet, and write a diffrent story, one that tells of glory and wipes away the lies
And to the stars I throw it the stars would do the telling, the moon would help with spelling the night will dot the eyes
*Shows a teenage Blitzo in the past as he wrote on a piece of paper to a lover he felt feelings for* I write a verse, recite a joke with wit and perfect timing
I share my heart, confess the things I yearn and do it all while rhyming *But in the vision when he tried to give the note to who he wanted to confess his feelings to it was hurt and rejected as he walked away upset crumpling the paper in his hand.
But we all learn, but we all learn…
A demon always hides a demons fate is known.
A imp must always stay in the dark and all alone!
It shows the fire that took his mom and hurt Frizzaroli as he cluched his arm*So yes I'd be a hero and if my wish were granted, life would be enchanted or so the stories say.
Of course I'd be a hero and I would scale a tower *Shows Blitzo climbing up dressed as a knight* to save a hot house flower and carry her away
But standing guard would be a beast *Shows Blitzo holding close the princess as he confronted a dragon*
I somehow overwhelm it, I'd get the girl I take a breath and I'd remove my helmet…*Shows Blitzo taking off his helmet to the princess but it shows it was Moxxie as he got away blushing*
We stand and stare we'd speak of love we'd feel the stars ascending, we'd share a kiss I'd find my destiny
I'd have a heros ending, a perfect happy ending
That's how it would be a big bright beautiful world
However Blitzo just looked away…knowing it was just impossible for someone like him
But not for me
Inside the cave the door closed as it shows Stolas sitting on his rock seat hearing Blitzos sad tale as the strand of moonlight shone on him as very briefly you can see the look of a feathered hand and the glint of four red eyes…
Stolas: a demon always hide, a demons fate is known, a demon always stays
Moxie/Stolas: in the dark
Moxxie: you're all alone
Stolas: Alone
Stolas, Moxxie and Blitzo: So yes I'd be a hero/There are rules and there are strictures/Dont let me go/And if my wish were granted/I'd believe the story book I read/ Dont let me go/ Life would be enchanted or so the story says/by candle light/Dont let me go/of course I'd be a hero and scale a tower to save a hot-house flower and carry her away!/You need me/Light!
All: a perfect happy ending!
That's how it…should be!
Blitzo wishes to be something diffrent and Stolas hearing that wonders if he was wrong about the Imp and wondered if he judged the imp to harshly and to quickly. And vowed to try to get to know the imp Blitzo better.
Meanwhile in the castle Stella was surrounded by Manny wedding gifts for her approaching marriage as she looked at a photo of Prince Stolas Vox provided as she smirked "Perfect, absolutely perfect and if research serves according to my reporters he is part of the lovely Ares goitia hehe, fame and fortune will come to her" she thought chuckling evilly.
Authors note: Well a few rough ness and a expression of wishing he could be diffrent then his old life and Stolas seems to be softening to the imp.
Next chapter Stolas gets breakfast for the duo after revealing he heard Blitzos confession and after a cass remark about how things were not easy living in the tower…well there was some head butting between Stolas and Blitzo that may lead to some bonding…
