568. Shadow and Knuckles Feel Down

"Hello fellow readers of Life At Pizza Hut," Silver The Hedgehog greeted as he held his hands together, surrounded by various different topped pizzas on the kitchen counter. "You may be wondering why this particular part of the chapter is bolded and separated from the rest. It's because Yoshizilla Rhedosaurus didn't really like the storyline aspect as much as he thought, so he's condensing down." He moved his hands around. "Basically, he's taking the storyline chapters and merging them into one big chapter. You'll know it when you see it."

Silver The Hedgehog was whistling to himself as he was working on several pepperoni pizzas, with Shadow The Hedgehog and Knuckles The Echidna both seeming a bit depressed than usual.

"What's wrong with you two?" Sonic The Hedgehog asked as he zipped past the two anthropomorphic mammals, smirking as he wrapped his arms around the back of his head.

Knuckles slowly munched on a bacon and salmon topped pizza, dropping it out of his right hand as he sighed. "I feel like we don't get enough character development."

"Not like we had that to begin with." Shadow growled as he had his arms typically folded together. "Anyway, there doesn't seem to be as much happening around here as they used to. Plus, the chapters are too short."

"Two hundred words of bullshit is considered too short?" Scourge The Hedgehog laughed as he placed his hands on the table, looking at both Shadow and Knuckles. "This overall stupid fanfic is bigger than a lot of novels!"

"...Should that be an accomplishment?" Shadow asked as he placed his right hand on his face, his left hand on his elbow.

Scourge lowered his eyes as he merely shrugged, shaking his head. "Meh. You decide. Just be happy that you're in a well known fanfic."

"You say that like it's a good thing," Silver added in his two cents as everyone glanced at him. Silver gulped as he felt sheepish, nervously rubbing the back of his head with his pizza dough covered right hand. "Ergh... just ignore me..."

Vector The Crocodile emerged out of the cash register with a mouth full of dollars, slapping Silver across the face with his right hand as he dove back into the cash register. After the awkward moment, everyone went back to doing their own thing, with Shadow and Knuckles still feeling down as Silver and Sonic went back to work, with Scourge tormenting some innocent customers.
