7 Months Later
"This Valentine's Day is a special one. It's the last one before we get married and it's the last one before the baby gets here," Cory said into the phone.
"How's she holding up?" Shawn asked from the other end of the line. Ever since him and Cory went on that road trip, Shawn had yet to return. He was still dealing with the death of his father while also traveling to learn more about the man.
"As good as she can be. She's eight and a half months pregnant," Cory explained. "You'll be back in time for when the baby gets here, right?"
"I wouldn't miss it for the world," Shawn smiled. These past couple of months he had seen practically every shade to Topanga. Boy was that baby putting her through it. He couldn't wait to meet the little hellraiser. "Do you know what you're having yet? As the godfather I have a right to know."
"Shhh!" Cory silenced his friend. "Topanga doesn't know that I made you the godfather. We still have to talk about it because we all know the godmother would be-"
"Angela," Shawn finished. He hadn't seen Angela since he left. In fact, he didn't even tell her that he was leaving. Cory had too. Shawn looked behind him and the line for the payphone he was on increasing. "Look, Cor, I have to go."
"Wait, before you do. For the baby shower, Topanga wants name suggestions for a boy and a girl. We haven't decided and she doesn't like my names," Cory admitted. He personally did not like how his Valentine's Day with Topanga became Topanga's baby shower. He wanted this day to be special for them. It was the last one before their lives would be changed forever.
"What names did you suggest?" Shawn asked.
"Well for a girl, I said Beverly," Cory said.
Shawn cringed. "I see what Topanga means. I can't imagine how bad your boy's name is," Shawn admitted. The restless patrons were anxiously waiting for Shawn to end the call. "Tell Topanga, I'll come up with something soon. I really have to go."
"Bye Shawnie. I miss you."
"I miss you too, Cor. Bye," Shawn said hanging up the phone.
Cory placed the phone on the side table, as he heard the heavy breathing of his wife. He looked behind him and coming down the stairs was his very pregnant wife. Cory sprung out of his seat and went to help her.
"Cory, stop coddling me, I can do it myself," Topanga assured. Cory backed away slowly watching his fiancée walk down the stairs. One hand on the rail and the other on her stomach. "Okay, maybe a little help." Cory immediately went to Topanga's side and helped her down the stairs and onto the couch.
"You'll be okay here without me?" Cory asked, grabbing his coat and scarf from the coat rack. He was just about to head over to Eric and Jack's to play poker with them, his dad and Feeny while the girls had the baby shower.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Your mom and Morgan are here and Angela and Rachel are on their way. Everything is going to be fine," Topanga promised, just as her baby decided to kick her in the ribs.
Cory saw Topanga visibly wince. "Are you sure?" Cory questioned.
"I'm sure," Topanga said breathing through the pain. This kid was definitely not making it easier for her. And on top of that, she had been feeling Braxton Hicks contraction for most of the day.
Cory leaned down to the couch and lightly kissed Topanga on the lips. "I love you," he said.
"I love you, too," she replied. "Now go."
"Happy Valentine's Day," Cory said just about head out the door.
"Happy Valentine's Day, Cory."
With Cory gone, Topanga grabbed a nearby bowl of chips and placed it on her stomach as Angela and Rachel, Eric and Jack's new roommate, came in.
"Topanga, aren't you looking beautiful as ever," Angela said.
"You don't need to lie," Topanga said with her mouth full of chips.
Angela brushed her off and went into the kitchen to help Amy and Morgan. Rachel sat in the chair next to Topanga and decided to keep her company.
"So you thought of any baby names yet?" Rachel asked.
Topanga moved the bowl of chips off her stomach and reached for the notepad on the coffee table. "These are the names that we've come up with. We're taking suggestions from everyone," Topanga explained.
"May I see?" Rachel asked.
Topanga nodded and handed Rachel the list. "Feel free to add your own," Topanga insisted as she repositioned the chips onto her stomach.

Harper (Morgan)
Siobhan (Jedediah)

After writing her suggestions of Michael and Claudia in, Rachel noticed a key member missing from the list. "Topanga, where's Shawn's suggestions?" Rachel asked.
"Cory must've forgot to ask," Topanga assumed. Her husband talked on the phone to Shawn for at least an hour a day like a teenage girl and he often forgot to relay the many messages Topanga had sent Shawn's way.
"Alrighty, guys are we ready to open some presents?" Amy asked emerging from the kitchen.
Topanga sprang up, almost making a mess of the chip. "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" Topanga cheered. She couldn't wait to open the gifts. Since she and Cory, well mainly she, decided that they wanted the baby's gender to be a surprise, they had opted for all gender neutral gifts.
"Okay, the first one's from Morgan," Amy said, handing Topanga her first gift.
Tearing through the wrapping paper, Topanga was excited to see a pack of bibs, bottles, and a baby rattle for her newborn. "Thank you, Morgan. These are lovely."
Suddenly, Topanga felt a slight pain come across her abdomen. "Are you okay?" Angela asked whilst rubbing her back. All the women in the room had noticed how Topanga instantly become uncomfortable.
"It's probably nothing. The doctor said I may be feeling those Braxton Hicks contractions since we are getting closer to the due date. It's probably that," Topanga reasoned. "Let's just get onto the gifts."
"Okay, this one is from me and Angela," Rachel said, handing the big bag over to Topanga.
When Topanga reached over, she was hit with another sharp pain to her abdomen, except this one made her cry out. She went to try to stand up and was instantly met with a puddle of water escaping from her.
Topanga looked over at Amy fearfully and instructed, "Call Cory."
