Chapter 1: The Girl
I stared at the clock, waiting for this day to be over. Finally the bell rang and I practically jumped out of my seat. Hi my name is Kaden Sanchez, and i'm from Canada, and this is the story of how I fell in love with my girlfriend's big sister and how a dark secret my dad hid from me, almost recked my life.
I was born to loving, and rediculousy rich parents. Then four years later, I had a brother and we named him Andrew. He was the tipical kind of kid. Blond hair blue eyes and not a single thing wrong with him which my dad loved. As long as I can remember, I have been told that I look like an exact replica of my mom. Just in boy form. I had Her Black hair and green eyes and her snowy white skin. We were all so happy. But happiness was short lived. My mom died when I was thirteen and Andrew was nine. I barely remember what my mom looks like because my dad took all the things that reminded him of my mom, including pictures from me and Andrews room and locked them away in his room. After that, my father locked himself up in his study and didn't come out for three years. So for three years, we were raised by my dad's assistant named Alice. A pink haired girl with brown eyes. And worse, she was always jelous of my mom because she was married to my dad. You probably guessed by now, that she has a giant crush on my father. She is so obsesed with him that she hangs up pictures of my dad in her room and when I go into her room to find her, I see kiss marks on his face and a wedding dress saved for if he askes to marry her. (Which probably won't happen because he has never loved any other woman than my mom)
I met Marrinette in my second year of collage but she was four years younger and apparentley she was really smart. She said that her sister taught her all sorts of stuff at a young age. We Instentley clicked for our love for movies but mostly the ones i'm in. Oh, did I forget to tell you? I was a movie star back in my teens. Do me a favor and don't freak out. And we started dating after a year. I stepped out of collage, Free from my father. I was so ready to go home and look for a job. But instead, I asked Marrinette if I could come over. And as usual, Marrinette was unsure about the idea but at least she wasn't making excuses.
"I don't know, Kaden. You know how Anna and step mom are."
Marrinette was the youngest in her family and apparently her big sister: Anna who is about the same age as me and her step mom don't get along AT ALL!
"Come on Marri, I believe your step mom and Anna will be nice to each other with other people around."
Marrinette sighed. She knew I was right. So the next day, I woke up at 8:00.AM and rushed over to Marrinette, who was out side my door and started walking. When we arived at her house, she put her hand on the knob but then looked back at me with worried eyes and a weak smile, I could already hear arguing from the window and then Marrinette's eyes began to twich.
"Brace yourself."
Marrinette said. I smiled at her and Marrinette sighed and opened the door. The moment I stepped into that house, a plate came flying that missed me by inches. Then more came over and Marrinette caught them instently. Marrinette sighed dissaprovingly. It was clear that this had happend before. Marrinette rolled her eyes.
"Here we go again."
We walked over to the kitchen and then my mouth dropped and my heart stopped beating. In the middle of the kitchen was the most georgeus girl I ever saw. The girl wore black boots, skin tight jeans, a red belly shirt and a black leather jacket. She had strawberry-blond hair with a white stripe in the front of the right side of her hair, and she wore the most beautiful jem stone necklace. She had eyes that were unusually teal and very desturbing white skin. So white that she almost looked...dead. But then she had tons of freckles on her white skined face with cherry lips. She was incredibly thin that she almost looked unhealthy but she was holding together. Other than her skin and her weight, she was a very beautiful girl.
Then a tall woman came into the kitchen with shards of the broken plate. The woman had blue eyes and blond hair with rosy cheeks. She wore gold high heels and a guchi dress with a bear coat on top. She had tons of bracelets and like seven rings on each finger. Then she wore a pink dimond necklace. It was clear that she was very full of herself and loved going shopping and being pampered. But she wore an angry face and held up shards of glass and Anna squirmed and looked like she was going to have a panick attack. But she put on a strait face and looked at the woman, bravley.
"Oh my god Anna! I am so sick of your behavior!"
"What are you talking about?! You threw that!"
The two looked ready to kill each other then Anna looked over at Marrinette and all her rage washed away. She ran over to Marrinette and hugged her. I felt myself blush of how Anna took care of my girlfriend. Then a man came into the kitchen but brushed passed Anna. He praised Marri for finally bringing me over. The man was the two girls dad and he kept on talking about Marrinette and compleatly ignored Anna.
"My Marrinette is beautiful and I'm glad you chose her. Me and my wife, Amanda are so proud of her progress."
I could see Anna trying to get her dads attention but was told to make breakfast instead. The rest of the day, Mr. Paras bragged about Marrinette and she didn't like it. Marrinette kept on begging me to change the subject but the moment I did, Mr. Paras would always change it right back or the title had something to do with Marrinette.
Finally, Anna came in and changed the title to breakfast. It looked beautiful amd it smelled delicious. And the tea looked just like how my mom used to make it.
"This is what I made for our food-of-the-day today at our restaurant, along with my famous tea and sandwiches. It was a big hit. Are you proud of me, Dad?"
Anna looked at her father hopingly. He tasted the soup and nodded. Mr. Paras turned to his daughter. His eyes looked as if tears could leak out of a bucket. Then he started crying as he stuffed his face with soup. Amanda had to comfort her husband and smile at him. Then Amanda tasted it and her eyes widened. Then Mary and I tasted it. She opened her mouth but then closed it as she gasped while I was trying my best to hold my tears together. Yep, it was that good! And I'm not over exaggerating! Then when Mr. Paras turned to Anna.
"This is your mommy's resapie isn't it?"
Anna fell silent and turned pale. (Which I didn't even know was possible) She nodded and went to clean everything up when her dad stopped her. Anna was shocked. She was probably wondering what he would say to her.
"I am so proud of you my darling. I know I don't show it the way you want me to but I hope you know that."
She looked as if she was going to cry and hugged her father. But Amanda didn't seem to like Mr. Paras saying that he was proud of Anna. The two glared across the room at each other but then a smile crept up on Amanda's face. A wicked smile. What was she planning?
Chapter 2: Sneak Attack.
As Anna was cleaning and her dad was on a call in another room. Amanda laid on the floor and started screaming.
"Ow! My back!"
Mr. Paras came rushing in. I was so surprised to say anything. Mr. Paras lifted Amanda up and asked her what had happend. Then she pointed to Anna when she entered the room. Anna was so shocked that she ran upstairs. I was about to run upstairs when Marrinette took my arm and took me into the other room. She pind me to the wall and looked at me. Angry.
"I see the way you look at my sister, you're in love with her aren't you!? You've only known her for what, three hours? Your my boyfriend, but your after my sister and you don't love me anymore so were done!"
She gave me a tight slap. I was so done with her and her behavior. I was wanting to end our relationship a year ago but I had hope for us. I ran upstairs and into Anna's room and the first thing that I saw was Anna, sitting on a old, rock shaped bed and she was muttering. I swore I saw a tear drip down her face but I was wrong. I walked over to Anna and gave her a big hug. Her muttering became soft as she clenched the jem stone necklace. She turned to me.
"I-I have never had someone come up to comfort me before. Thank you Kaden."
"But i'm sure tha-"
"Marrinette has never come up to comfort me. If she could, she would. My parents say that she shouldn't waste her thoughts on me. And i'm sure your going to ask me about school or collage. I havn't been to school for eleven years, including collage."
I looked at Anna, stunned. Did she just read my mind? But for some reason, this made me very angry. But then the unthinkable happened. Anna took my hand and rested her head on my sholder. She began to stroke my palm up and down. Then she started speaking something in a language I didn't know. But as if she read my mind again, she spoke.
"Whereish."
"What?"
"The language i'm speaking, Whereish. It's the only other language I know how to speak. My mom taught me. She used to sing me a lullaby she wrote in Whereish."
Anna said the name of the song and then translated it. She then began to sing in Whereish and my heart stopped. Her voice was an angel's. But somehow, it felt as if she was singing the lullaby my mom sang to me. The more she sang, the more it reminded me of my mom.
But then, out of the blue, Anna got a text message from her dad. She opened the text. The more Anna read it, the more her face dropped. When she was done, the remaning color of her face drained and she started muttering even harder than she did before. She gave me her phone and I started to read.
Dear Anna
You and your step mom don't get along, so I have no choice but for me and Amanda to make you move out of the house. The first time I say i'm proud of you, you go and hurt your step mom. I have learned my lesson and I will never say that i'm proud of you ever again. You are such a dissapointment to me and your mother would be ashamed. No, I AM ASHAMED! I am ashamed that your my daughter and that you are not like your younger sister. I don't know what Amanda ever did to you, but you are such a dissapointment to this family. And when you are finished moving out, DON'T COME BACK EVER! I should have done this years ago but I hoped your behavior would change. You are a father's worst nightmare.
From your dissapointed Father Mr. Alec Paras
Anna pressed a button on the side of the bed and it started to fold. I leaped as it came twored me. She grabbed the folded bed that looked like a tiny box and rushed downstairs when I herd a scream. I then followed her down to see her parents lying on the floor. Not breathing. We called an ambulance and before we knew it, they were gone. What was Anna going to do now?
Chapter 3: The Even Bigger Attack.
Anna darted upstairs and slammed the door. Marrinette came over and kissed my cheek. I was very confused. She said that she was sorry that she talked to me that way and that we were still together. I smiled at her, but on the inside, I was screaming, shouting, and crying all at once. Anna came back down with massive portraits and took down all the others. She took all the other portraits that she brought down from upstairs and hung them up on the walls. The biggest ones hung over the fireplace. On the left side stood Mr. Paras. But he was younger and way happier, with his right hand on a young Anna's shoulder. On the right stood a beautiful woman with the same white skin as Anna. She had pitch black hair with a white stripe in the front of the right side of her hair. She wore a skin-tight dress and looked thin, but not as thin as Anna, and she wore the same gemstone necklace that Anna had on. She had sky blue eyes with a beautiful smile and matching cherry lips like Anna. She was holding a three-year-old Marrinette. You wanna know how I know? It's because the little girl had violet hair and blue belle eyes. It was so obvious that the toddler was Marri and the woman was Anna's mother.
But what surprised me the most was that there, right by the family portrait, was another one right by it. And in the middle was Anna, who was around thirteen, but her hair was black with red chunks in front, and of course, she had her white stripe in front on the right side of her hair. She was in a dark red dress, holding a beautiful baby girl who was smiling. The baby girl was wrapped up in a dark red blanket, and a tiny white hand was wrapped around Anna's finger. She had pitch-black hair but with red chunks in front and a white stripe in the front of the right side of her hair. She had bright emerald green eyes, white skin, and freckles on her nose and cheeks. If anything, she looked like... Anna.
"Lottie."
I turned to see Anna behind me. She was holding a wrinkled picture that she began to fold. She took a step closer to the painting, not taking her eyes off me. Then she took a step near me. I could feel myself blush as her shoulder brushed mine.
"Who?"
"The baby girl i'm holding. That's Lottie."
"Is she your cousin? Sister?"
Anna sighed. She grabbed my arm and darted upstairs and entered a random room. She locked the door and turned on the lights. It was a nursery with small toys, books, a rocking chair, and of course, a crib. I turned to Anna who looked as if she was going to start crying. The bravest girl ever looked like she was going to cry. Anna turned to me and at the speed of light, she pinned me to the wall and looked at me with laser eyes.
"Do you swear not to tell anyone what i'm about to tell you?"
I nodded. But then there was a loud sound. Anna dashed down stairs and slammed the front door. I waited. And waited. But when Anna didn't come back in an hour, I began to worry. I walked down stairs and opened the front door. And I saw something I wished I never saw.
Anna was standing in front of a faceless creature that was wearing a black cloak with razor-sharp claws and fighting. She had blood dripping from her arm, and others from her legs and back. But what was even crazier was that she was still fighting the creature. After what seemed like hours, her legs finally gave in. She landed hard on the front of her legs but didn't scream. The faceless creature bent down, took the white stripe of hair, and then dropped it. The creature must not have noticed because it backed away from Anna. She looked up at the creature, and the creature sped off. I ran over to Anna, and before she could look at me, I was already carrying her back to her house.
I set her on top of the couch and started bandaging up her arm, legs, and her back. I could feel Anna's gaze on me and it gave me shivers down my spine. The single touch of her skin on my fingers made me swoon. Snap out of it, you idiot, she is your girlfriend's sister and you don't want to be a heartbreaker, do you? Besides, she is way too goddess-like to be yours. Say something or she is going to think you're a complete idiot! Ugh! I am such an idiot.
"Oh Anna, What were you thinking? That thing could have killed you. Did you not see those claws? Those things could have cut you like a piece of paper."
"Well then, I would have been with Lottie." I stopped bandaging and looked up at her. Lottie was dead?
"She must have been very important." I said as I went back to bandaging.
"She was." There was a slight quiver in her voice that made me shiver.
"She must have been a very close cousin or friend or a girl that you baby sat."
"Neither. She was none of those." I finished what I was doing and looked up at Anna.
"So what your saying is, that Lottie is a dead sister." Anna sighed.
"Only my mom and my dad knew but I have never told this to anyone before. Not even Marri. When I look into your eyes, I don't know why but I feel like I can trust you." She took my hands. "I can trust you, right?"
I nodded and she sighed again. She looked to the side and then pulled out the folded picture that she folded earlier and unfolded it. She looked at it for a long time. She moved and patted the space next to her on the couch. I sat next to her and she rested her head on my shoulder. Her body heat made me feel so hot that I wanted to rip my sweater off and take an ice-cold shower. But Marrinette never made me feel this way, and Anna made me feel like I was floating on air.
"Lottie was not my addoptad sister. Or my sister at all. She was my addoptad daughter."
Chapter 4: Dear Disaster.
"But weren't you a little young to addopt Lottie? How did it happen?"
"It's kind of crazy. I was going to a hospital to see a friend when I entered a different room by accident. But what I saw, shook me. There was a woman who was holding a baby with a disgusted face. The baby was screaming and the woman just took her hand and put it over the baby's mouth. I was not about to let this woman abuse a newborn, so I put on a nurse's uniform and went inside. The woman looked at me and gave me the baby. 'Take her,' the woman said. 'Please just tell all the other nurses that my baby died and that this one is yours. I never wanted a kid. Just take her. Do me a solid.' I nodded and I told the doctor that came in that the baby I was holding was mine and hers died. So after that, I took the birth certificate and left. I couldn't believe what just happened. I walked to a doctor and told him everything, and he agreed to give the baby some of my blood. After that, I was a mom."
Anna took me upstairs and into Lottie's old room and showed me some more pictures of her and Lottie. As she was going to pick up another painting of Lottie, a note slipped out. I picked up the note and started to read it. I gave the note to Anna and walked away, not wanting to hear what I just read, but then she began to read aloud.
Dear Anna
As you probably know, you are not like others. You are even more extraordinary than you ever thought. You are powerful, and just so you know, I am not dead. You and your father have thought that because I was beaten and I told you to go back home with Lottie and Marrinette, but I didn't return. Someone found me, and I was brought here. Please know that I am alive and that I'm okay. I have left riddles all over Paris, and you have to find them if you want to find me. I love you, my Anna.
Love mommy.
Anna rushed out the door but I followed. I grabbed her wrist and turned her twored me. She tried to push me away but I could tell that she was to weak. "Let me go." She wispered. "Please let me go."
She gave up after a while and her legs gave in. "Let me come with you. I want to help you. Let me help you."
"If you have found this card you are good. But not good enough. Answer this next ridal. I have no eyes, but I can see for miles. What am I?"
"That makes no sence."
"I thought I told you to shut up. I Think that it might be the mountains. So let's go."
"We are over!" Marrinette ran back into the house but me and Anna were already running. We saw a box by a bakeary and Anna started pulling stuff out. Including a keychain of my mothers old tattoo. A vine, swirling around a hand. Anna snapped her fingers and I dropped the key chain.
If you have found this letter you have to answer this ridal. Give me food and I will live, but give me water than I will die. What am I?
"Well that makes zero sence."
"Oh shut up, Kaden, I have already figured out the ridal. It is so obvious that it is fire. If you give bark to fire, it is food. But if you give fire water, the fire will go out, or in this case, die. So lets go to the fire house."
We ran over to the fire house to see a dog with a letter in his jaws. The dog dropped the note at Anna's feet but then looked at me. The dog made a sound but ran away. That was so weird. Anna waved her hand infront of my eyes and I was snapped back to reality.
"If you have found this card you are good. But not good enough. Answer this next ridal. I have no eyes, but I can see for miles. What am I?"
"That makes no sence."
"I thought I told you to shut up. I Think that it might be the mountains. So let's go."
She grabbed my hand and wisked us off to the mountains. When we arrived at the mountains, we saw a slot that had a note, but buy the slot, there was a picture of a beautiful little boy but with the same skin as Anna, and a georgeus woman with black hair, green eyes but she had dead white skin and was wearing a blue dress that I somehow reconized. She was wearing a gold heart shaped necklace that had my full name carved into it: Kaden Xavior Sanchez. I reconized that woman but I didn't at the same time. How can I reconize someone but not at the same time? I looked down at the writting bellow on the right corner. Emily and Kaden Sanchez. Anna snapped her fingers at me and I let that picture slide to the back of my mind. Before Anna could pick up the letter, I grabbed it before her and I started to read.
Exilent, last ridal, you can't touch me, but you can feel me, what am I?
"Now isn't that just a bunch of nonsense."
"And you tell me to shut up."
"Don't use my own words agenst me. I Think the ridal is Air. Like, you can feel a breeze but you can't exactly touch it. So let's follow the breeze!"
She turned to run but I grabbed her hand. She looked back at me. Her face was red. Beat red. "Anna, there is no breeze! How Are you supost to follow something that isn't there?
Just then a wild breeze came tword us, blowing my hair into an epic mess. It threw Anna up and down but when she landed the breeze started to move. Anna looked at me with a smirk and a raised eye brow. "I stand corected." I muttered as I fixed my hair.
We followed the breeze but I stopped in my tracks. In the middle of the landscape, was a big, beautiful Mansion with glass windows with dark green paint work. But in the middle of the building, stood a man, a man who didn't look a day over twenty five but had gray hair. He was wearing a dark suit and was suporting himself on a cane that had a gold dragon head on top. My heart pounded so hard that I thought for a second that I was having a heart attack. Anna looked at me with worried eyes. "Kaden, what is it? What's wrong?" It took me, what felt like hours, to find my voice and words. I swore to never come back here. This place is a living hell. And that's all because of him! Those were the exact words I wanted to say but they didn't come out. The man stepped twored me and Anna, but I backed away. "Kaden, what is it? Who is he?" Anna tugged on my shirt like a child would do to their parents. I looked at Anna with frightend eyes, and she returned my gaze. I sighed and pulled her close. I could hear her fast heart. "Anna," I began. "This is none other than Gabrial Sanchez. My father."
Chapter 5: The Truth About Mom
"What do you want father?" I looked at him with blazing eyes. "I told you I never wanted to see you again!" Instead of giving me the speach of a life time, he sank to his knees and started crying. 'Wait,What, my father is crying?''
"Oh Kaden, my little boy. You have every right to be mad at me but I never ment to hurt you or Andrew. I see your scar has healed."
I slapped a hand on top of my left cheek. You see, my father and I had a big fight over me going to college. He wanted me to take over the family business, while I wanted to be an Author. And then it started to get a little fizical and he scrached me with a small knife. Then Anna twisted her hand up my arm. The touch of her nails made me burn but I held it together. "Kaden, I don't know what happend to you and your father but mabye he knows something about my mother." My father lookes up at Anna and gasped. He got up and touched her face. "Anna, Is it really you?" Anna nodded and my father flung her up in the air. At first Anna looked confused but then her eyes widend and they started talking like they were old friends.
"Um, Anna, how do you know my father?"
"Mr. Gabrial was my doctor for Lottie when she was sick."
"Anna was also your childhood best friend. You two would make up these games with sea monsters and someone had to save the other, or you have To survive the enchanted forest. but Soon my Emily became very sick and we did not want Anna's family to get sick too, so they left. After some time, I took a job as a doctor and one day Anna came in with a baby and told me everything. So after that, I was her doctor. Then one night, I was walking home when I saw your mother not breathing, and lying on the dirty ground. I attacked the person that stood above her and I rillized that it was Charlotte, Anna's mother. I brought her back home with me and I nursed her back to health. And soon after she told me everything about Emily, and what she was."
"What do you mean,'what she was?'"
My dad lead me inside and it was so much different than what I reamembered. Instead of moms old black coaches, there was red velvet coaches, and the paintings of our family had been taken down, and had been replaced with pictures of...another woman. And mother's old fountian had been taken down and had been replaced with a fish fountain instead. Then the one and only new woman had came down the stairs. She wore a silk gown and her black hair was tied in a bun and her eyes were the same blue as her dress. My mothers dress. 'So thats's how I reconized that dress in that photoh. It was mother's.'
"Oh my god, Kaden! Is it really you? You probably don't reconize me because of my new look, but it's me, It's Alice!"
"Alice darling, don't frighten the poor boy."
"Oh I remeber her." 'I remember how obsesd she was with you. And why does she look so different? And why did you let her wear my mother's dress? And why did you call her darling?' My Father then offered me to sit down. But Alice took my seat. I was about to throw a fit but Anna pulled me over to the coach. I looked over at Alice but an Evil grin lied on her face and she started tugging the Fabric of my Mom's dress. She knew that I knew that it would drive me crazy. But then my father started to speak.
"There is something that I have kept from you for years and I think its time you know. Your mother: Emily was different than other people. She was...not human. She was none other than a Downworlder."
"What's a Downworlder?"
"Their what we humans call monsters but people called the Shadowhunters give them their proper name. So Vampiers, Witches, Worlocks, Deamons, Angels, Fairies and the two most rare. Zombies and Werewolfs."
"How are they rare? Zombies and Werewolfs seem most popular."
"Zombies arn't what you think. People just give them a bad name and others try to kill them for that. Zombies have tried to make peace with humans but people are to scared so they live in our world in secret but they arn't exactley friendly. And Werewolfs are very savage. They don't trust people and people have clamed that they attack them but the Shadowhunter's know better. But Werewolfs are destructive and very, very unusual. They are more like wolfs than people. People have killed them for thousands of years and there are only a few hundred left. Werewolfs don't trust us so any time anyone comes near there home, they attack. But there was one Werewolf that left her pack because she fell in love with a human. And there was born and the Shadowhunters and Werewolfs call her Anastasia."
Anna raised her hand up high and my Father asked her what her quesion was. "That's my name. My full name. Anastasia." My father gave her a wild look and looked at Alice. Alice and My father shared an unsure glance. But he cleared his voice and went on with the story.
"She is the first Werewolf halfling and she is the most powerful being on earth. She can do things that others can't." He looked at Anna but then at me. "But at the same time, there was a Zombie queen that fell in love with a human and they had one child at the same time Anastasia was born. Kaden, your mother was that Zombie."
Chapter 6: Mother
"WHAT?!" I jumped up but Anna took my hand. I looked at her with tearful eyes and she was shocked. I sucked up my tears as she brought me back down and I rested my head on her lap. She stroked my hair up and down just like she had done earlier with my hand. "Better?" I nodded and lifted my head. I looked at my dad with tearful eyes. "Why," I whispered. "Why did you never tell me?"
"You were to young to understand. But you Kaden, You might be a Zombie yourself. I replaced all the mirrors in this house so you could never see your real skin."
Anna took out a small make up mirror and I was able to see my real skin. I had dead white skin just like Anna and mother. I nodded and Anna put the mirror away. I sucked up my tears again because I was not about to cry in front of my father after all these years. Expesally with Alice sitting there.
"How can I know?"
"There is a place just down the road from here but you know me, I don't like to get out. But you will have to wait untill tomorrow."
I took Anna's Hand and darted upstairs. I showed her a spare room and I soon went to my old one. "Well good night." The next morning, I woke up, got dressed and darted out of bed, down the hall, not knowing what time it was. I went into Anna's room to see her still sleeping. I never seen her look so peaceful. I shook her awake and she slapped me hard across the dad face. "Oh my god Kaden. I am so sorry but you scared me!" She darted out of bed and down stairs. I soon followed to hear Alice and Anna arguing.
"Look, Just because Your Gabrial's wife doesn't meen that you get to wear Emily's stuff. I saw the was you tugged on the fabric yesterday, your EVIL!"
"Shut up Downworlder. Yeah, I know who you are and what you are. I also know that you don't. Well you have the same white skin as Kaden, and people with unusual skin are Downworlders. You have Teal eyes and I also know that you died your black hair when your mother disapeard. Your mother was probably a Downworlder and she didn't tell you about it."
"You really are evil. And so what if I died my hair? My mother would have told me that she was a Downworlder, and how do you know so much about me?! Are you a stalker?"
"Your Mother told me all about you, She knows and can see everything."
Alice walked away with a creepy grin. I walked down and met Anna at the bottom of the stairs In a daze. I didn't even want to ask her what all that was about. She was still wearing the same clothes she wore yesterday but she still looked nice she took her hair out of the braid she put it in and used her fingers to brush through her long beautiful hair. "Are you ready?" She asked me. I nodded and we walked out the door and out to the address.
When we arrived, there was a big store with tons of Halloween decorations. That reminded me that Halloween was in two weeks. The woman at the front had her back turned and had long hair that reached the floor. She was singing the song that Anna had sang me yesterday when she stroked my hand. I have a good memory, okay! She turned and my heart stopped. The woman was georgeus. She had black hair, Green eyes, and white skin. She wore a blue gown with a heart shaped necklace that said: Kaden Xavior Sanchez. And I knew right then and there, after twelve whole years, my mother was standing right in front of me. When she looked at me her smile faded into a stundded face. Mom had one hand on her gold necklace and the other on her mouth. She walked over to me and touched my face. "Hello mother." I said through a shaky voice. "My little boy." I felt a shock down my spine. I let my face fall into her hand and for the first time in twelve years, I let myself cry.
"Oh my baby. Kaden, what's wrong?"
"It's just, I'm so happy to see you. After Twelve years, your alive! But why didn't you come back to me, Andrew, and father? We have missed you terribly."
"I tried. I left notes for you, I called you every single day, Once a day, every day. I even went up to your door but there was a woman there that said that your father was busy. I came back in a month and she said that your father was at a fashon shoot. I came back four months later to find out that he wasn't busy! I was so happy but the woman said that he didn't want to see me. I came the day after that to find out the worst thing ever. The woman was going to get married to your father! So, after that, I knew that he had forgoten all about me or was going to move on. So now I live here, in my shop. I sell Halloween decorations and I give readings to-"
"Downworlders? Yeah, me and Anna here know about the Downworlder thing. I know that you are a Zombie and I want to know know if i'm one too. Mother, I want to know if i'm a Downworlder."
"I want to know also. To see if I'm a Downworlder."
I looked at Anna. This was the first time that she has said anything while we were here. Alice had probably got into her head and this is why she was asking. Mom looked at Anna and shouted happily and hugged her. "Oh Anna! I always knew that you and my son would make a good couple!" Anna went beat red and started stumbling on her words. She looked at me for help. I shrugged with a guilty smile. But then Anna looked at me with blazing eyes and that made me change my mind.
"Mother, we are not a couple, we are just friends."
"Well you could never stop talking about Anna twelve years ago. So I just asumed."
Anna looked at me with shock and I turned red. I rubbed my hand on the back of my neck and stumbled on my words. Mon than offered me to come over to the table that had tons of books. She then took my wrist and swayed her hand over it. Just then a mark appered. It was a vine that swirled up onto a hand. That looks like mom's tattoo. "Okay, um, Kaden. I don't know if this is the answer you want, but yes, you are a Downworlder." I nodded and I let some tears slide down my face. Then Mom got out a giant book and slammed it on the table.
"Can't you just tell if i'm a Zombie?"
"I already know what you are, but this is my favorite part of the job."
She flipped to the page that had my mark. The Image was green and had red writing and told me what kind of Downworlder I am and what my Strengths and weaknesses are.
Downworlder: Zombie
Strengths: Climbing, Understands And Speaks Zombish, Super Strength, Smile, Can See The Past.
Weaknesses: Werewolf howl, Venom, Werewolf claws, Knifes, Werewolfs.
"So, I'm a Zombie. But why does it say Smile, for one of my strengths, And just Werewolfs in general for weaknesses?"
"Do you really not know about the legand of the Werewolf and the Zombie?"
"No."
Chapter 7: The Legand Of The Zombie Prince And The Werewolf Princess
"Two hundred years ago, there were two main tribes on which all of the Downworlders depended and respected. The Zombie tribe and the Werewolf tribe. They ruled all Downworlders in peace and harmony. But the Zombie queen and the Werewolf king were enemies. One day, the Werewolf princess: Winter and the Zombie prince: Zandar, wanted to make peace with the two tribes so that all Downworlders could live in harmony. When they met, a wolf jumped on Zandar and scratched his arm. Winter told the wolf to stand down and used her claws to mend the wound. The two became friends, and everything was going as planned, except for one thing. They fell in love, and soon told their parents. The parents took this opportunity to stop fighting and make peace with the other tribe. So they agreed and told their kingdoms. One day, a Werewolf who was in love with Winter discovered this. He became angry and went back to their old ways. He took some venom knives, crushed them together and made a drink that he gave to the princess. Her claws were filled with venom, and her howl became as deadly as knives. So when they met again, the moment Winter touched Zandar's hand, it burned and scarred him. And when she howled, it made his ears bleed. Soon, he never even came close to her, and one day, Winter had enough and confronted him. They got into a brutal fight. Meanwhile, the Werewolf man had poisoned all the Werewolf tribe's water, and soon they became just like Winter. During the fight with the prince and princess, everyone was beaten. Then, without explanation, a man came out of nowhere and stabbed Winter with a Dagger. As Winter slowly began to die, she explained that she had no idea why Zandar was ignoring her and said that she had drank some water, and that's where their problems started. And she died. Zandar wept and took the dagger that killed her and a red rose and wrapped the rose around it. Zandar set it between Winter's hands and took out his own knife. He was going to kill whoever killed his love. Then the Werewolf tribe came over to see what was going on, and saw their princess dead and the Zombie prince holding a knife. They chased after Zandar, but the Zombie tribe saw this and a war started. Zandar slowly began to die because he had dranken the water the Werewolf man had poisoned. The Werewolfs never trusted anyone after that, fought for others, but then would disappear. So thats why our weakness is Werewolfs. They hurt us."
I sat there profoundly dumb. I looked over at Anna, and she looked as white as a ghost. I turned to my mom, and she looked at me with sad eyes. Then she looked over at Anna and squinted her eyes. "Anna, didn't you used to have black hair?" Anna looked down at the floor and nodded silently and then looked up again and started playing with her white stripe. Mom's eyes widened. She signaled Anna to come over and took her wrist.
"Is it okay if I see if your a Downworlder too?"
"That's what I wanted."
My mother swirled her hand over Anna's wrist and I watched her mark appear. A rose, swirled up onto a dagger. My mother's eyes were shaking with fear. She flipped over to the page with Anna's mark. And right there, in writting prooved that she was a Downworlder.
Downworlder: Werewolf
Strengths: Howling, Calling On Wolfs, Children, fighting, Can sing in Wherish, Read Minds.
Weaknesses:Zombie's Smile, Silver, Zombies
"Anna, your...your...your a Werewolf?!"
"And not just any Werewolf, Kaden, bow to the long lost princess of The Forbidan Forest, Princess Anastasia."
As if my mother were under a spell, she collapsed down to Anna. Anna tried to pull my mom up but she did not budge. "You may rise, Queen Emily. You may rise." Anna said. Then she looked at me, and for the first time ever seen her, she looked scared. I could tell that she did not know why she said that. "Kaden, you are the prince of Zombies. And you are right by the long lost princess of The Forbidan Forest. A Werewolf." My mother muttered. Anna ran out of the store and I ran after her. She looked at me, she was so scared that her whole body was shaking with fear. I came towards her but she backed away. Her eyes were full of fear. "Anna," I took another step towards her. But then I saw a mark on her neck that I hadn't noticed before. A moon. I was standing right by her but she did not back away. Her feet didn't allow her too. I put a hand on her right cheek and her eyes widend. And for the first time, I didn't see a brave girl in her eyes. I saw her past. A girl who was beaten, A girl who spent most of her time in her room alone. A girl who lost her mother and her adoptid daughter. A girl who had to work for food. A girl who was never proud of. A girl that was never shown love. A girl who was lost in time, who needed help, who was scared. And nobody cared. Anna's eyes changed the image and reveiled a text. The girl never cried again.
"Your touch may burn me, but it is not your fault. Your howl may make my ears bleed, but it is not your fault."
Anna looked up at me with wonder. I felt her face fall into my hands. Her face was soft like silk, and wet too. The girl never cried again. I pulled her in for a hug and she cried into my shirt. I was very gental with holding her back because she still had her bandage there. Even though she had started to take the other bandages off, she left this one alone. I took her over to a bech and set her down, but she clung to my shirt. And for some reason, I started singing in a language that I undertand. Zombish was our language. I saw it in the book. And when I was finished, Anna had stopped shaking. "Thank you, Thank you for everything."
I looked down at Anna and smiled. And that made her go red. "Dang," Anna said. "Now I know why one of my weaknesses is your smile!" I laughed and I saw her smile. I looked down at the bandages on her legs, arms, and her back. "I think we should take them off, yes?" Anna nodded and I knelt down and took off the bandages on her legs. Anna took off her leather jacket and started to unbandage her arms. I could now clearly see the bandage around her back and stomach. Then I felt fingers brush my hair out of my face. I looked up to see Anna looking down at me. "Um, don't you think we should get back to your dad's house?" I nodded and Anna tied her jacket down at her waist and we started walking. All these memories popped back into my head, including when Anna had black hair with red chunks in front. The next thing we know, we're at home. And the moment we entered, I saw a blond haired boy with blue eyes, and he was none other than Andrew.
"Anna, your...your...your a Werewolf?!"
"And not just any Werewolf, Kaden, bow to the long lost princess of The Forbidan Forest, Princess Anastasia."
Andrew ran to me and hugged me. It was nice to see him because we have been a little out of touch. "Dude, How are you? It's been like, Forever!" He turned to Anna and grabbed her hand. "And who is this young lady? I think she's my next Girlfriend." He started to kiss her hand, and Anna did not look happy about it. I pushed him away from Anna and pulled her close to me. "Back off!" I looked down at Anna. Then I realized what I just said and blushed hard. And Anna returned my gaze. "Forgive me, I didn't know she was yours." And Andrew just walked away. I looked back at Anna and realized that I was pushing her so hard against me that her hands were on my chest and She was blushing a lot. I let go of her and she looked kind of...disappointed. Anna reached for her leather jacket and put it on and started to mumble. "I'm sorry. I didn't like that he was forcing himself onto you." Anna looked at me with surprise. She smiled but started to fall. And scream.
"Anna! Anna what is it?"
"Its my back, it burnes! Ow! help me it BURNS!"
I picked her up and rushed her upstairs. I took her into my mom's old room and set her down on the bed. I removed her leather jacket, and then she lifted her shirt up a little more so I could take off the bandage. The claw mark was much worse than it was before I put the bandage on. It was black and green with pus spilling out of small cracks in her mark. I put her jacket back on, but she started to scream at the top of her lungs. I immediately took her jacket off and applied some pressure to her back. She stopped screaming as I rubbed parts of her back. She fell backward and landed on top of me, but she immediately came right back up and started to scream. "Anna, your back seems to be infected. You might have to change into a different shirt." Anna nodded and took a short top from my mom's old drawer and went into the bathroom but came out seconds later. The top was so high that her whole mark was shown. She sat back down but then I saw some drops of blood in the cracks along with pus. I took my hand and wiped the blood away. But Anna didn't scream. Instead, she took my hand and pressed it against her back, and yet she did not scream. Pus was spilling everywhere, so I took a rag and wet it with water and pressed it against her back, wiping all the pus away. Still, she did not scream. When I was finished, I layed the rag down on the mattras and Anna fell onto it. I got up to get comfertable clothes on, when Anna pulled me back down.
"Do you promise to come back?"
"I promie I'll come back."
"Good. But I have a favor to ask you."
"What is it?"
"Could you sleep next to me? I am really scared because I had tons of nightmarres last night and of the story your mom told me. Not the whole time i'm resting, just untill I fall asleep. Please? Can you please do this for me? I'm begging you. Just untill I fall asleep?"
I was so shocked that Anna was asking that of me. But I knew that she was in pain and that having nightmares arn't fun. I looked deep into her eyes and I saw a ton of fear. "Yes. I will." Anna's face filled with happiness. She got up and hugged me. When I went to get up, Anna called me back again. I knelt by her and she kissed my cheek. I turned red but Anna didn't even seem to care. She closed her eyes and started to sleep.
Man, I really am in love with her. I walked away to hear a wimpering noise. I followed the noise to a dungen. In the dusty cell, was a woman pacing back and forth. She looked at me and I froze. It was Charlotte. Anna's mom.
"Wait, you're Charlotte. Anna's mom! What are you doing here?"
The woman looked up at me again, and I saw sharp fangs like a vampire. Her eyes were yellow, and her claws were sharp, like razors. She was wearing a black cloak but when she put it on again, it looked like she had no face.
"Y-Your the one who attacked Anna that night. But she's your Daughter, Why?"
"My Anna has black hair. So when I saw strawberry-blond hair, I thought someone was keeping my daughter captive-"
"You mean Daughters right? Marrinette is your daughter too."
"No, she's not. She's Alec's. There was a time when Alec went mad and adoptid a child. So teacnecly she isn't my daughter. I'm just her gardian. Alec went so mad that he signed all the papers and put another womans name on her Adoption papers. Amanda. A girl with blond hair and blue eyes but loves to pamper herself. But after I got rid of all the fairy drinks he stopped being crazy."
"But how did you get here?"
"That rotten Alice. She has kept me down here for a very long time. She hooked me up to silver chains untill I told her what I knew. But how do you know about Anna?"
"She's here but she is resting because of the mark you gave her on her back. I saw the fight. Her whole back is infected."
Then Charlotte started to cry. I offered her a hankercheif and her razor nails rapped around my hand and I screamed. Charlotte was first confused but then her eyes widend and she shrieked. "GET AWAY FROM ME YOU ZOMBIE! YOU KILLED OUR PRINCESS AND NOW YOUR GOING TO KILL ME! GET AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!" I grabbed her hand and she snapped out of it. She looked at me with fear but I still held on. "It's me. It's Kaden Sanchez. Emily's son." Charlotte apollagized for the way she acted and forgot that we didn't kill the Werewolf's princess. "I'll get you out as soon as I can, but Anna is in a lot of pain right now and she needs me."
I got into better clothes and entered Mom's old room to see Anna shaking and breathing really fast. I climbed in with her and pulled her close. She stopped shaking and her breathing went back to normal. She turned to face me with tierd eyes. She put a hand on my shoulder but it burned my skin and made me jump forward.
"Did I hurt you, Kaden?"
"I'm fine. I'm fine."
I went back down and Anna rolled over and put her hands on my chest, and fell asleep. She looked so peaceful and happy as she slept. I picked her up and set her down in her room. And I returned to mine. The next day, I woke up early and rushed downstairs Into the dungun. Charlottle was sleeping but I banged on the gate and she startled awake. She now looked like how she was twelve years in the painting. Black hair and sky blue eyes and very thin. I let her out by streching the bars appart with my super strength. "Thank you." She said and ran off. I walked upstairs to see Charlottle standing over Anna. She wore a sad expretion. She twisted her hand over Anna's ends and it started to go black! I watched In horror as Charlotte changed her ends black. She began to lift Anna up but then looked at me. Charlotte then jumped out the window. I shook Anna awake and she slapped me across the face.
"You really have to stop slapping me. But we have bigger problems. Your mom just turned your ends back to its origanal color and just tried to kidnapp you! We have to go follow her!"
Anna looked at her hair. She Jumped out of bed and then out the window. I followed after her and into the Forbidan Forest. We ran all over, scraching our arms and our legs became weak. Finally, we had Charlotte cornord between a rock and us. "I can't believe it," I looked at Anna. Her eyes had fire in them and she bared her teeth. "First, you disapear for twelve years, then you have me looking for you all over Canada, And now, you try to kidnapp me?! And you succeeded, because i'm right here, in the Forbidan Forest!"
"Oh my Anna-"
"Don't you 'oh my Anna' me!"
"Anna, I didn't kidnapp you. I brought you home."
Anna looked confused but then Charlotte began to howl. My ears stung but then It stopped. Charlotte kept on howling and still, nothing happend. Anna looked at me with eyes of wonder. Her hair swished behind her catching my attention. The ends of her hair were still black and beautiful. She caught me staring and I just said the first thing that came to mind.
"How is this posible? How are my ears not bleeding?"
"Since you are a halfling, one must hurt more than the other. And in this case, my claws."
Charlotte finished howling and the rock behind her curved behind her and a bunch of Werewolfs jumped out. They all stood behind Charlotte, waiting for instructions. "Wolfs, I give you, the long lost Princess: Anastasia, of the Forbidan Forest!" They all howled and came forward. A very handsom Werewolf came out, took Anna's hand, and bowed.
"Hello my princess. I am Wyatt, your knight in shining arrmor. I am here to save you from this Zombie."
Wyatt came at me, but was stopped by Anna. She started speaking Wherish, and the knight backed off. He looked at me and glared, and I returned his gaze. "Forgive me, I did not know you were a friend of our princess Zombie." Wyatt replied. "But I'm warning you, Zombie. If you ever try to hurt our princess again, I will kill you." I glared at him and made a face. Before we could kill each other, Anna stepped in and separated us both. I walked with Anna to her mother, feeling Wyatt's eyes on me.
"I see Wyatt gave you a hard time?"
"Yeah. But he kept on going on about how my prince killed your princess. Does he not know the truth?"
"No. Only me and your mother know because we went to a worlock and asked him to tell us what really happend and he showed us the truth. And it was when you and Anna were thirteen. I was going to tell the pack but then I was attacked. And when someone brings up Winter, my great great aunt, It become's a nasty fight. So I can't unless I want to posably get killed."
I wanted to slap Charlotte for keeping this big secret from all the others. But then Anna collapsed hard and I went over to her. I desperately asked Charlotte for a place for Anna to rest. Charlotte let me into the den and showed me a room I could set Anna in. I set Anna on the bed and removed her leather jacket. She turned over so I could see her mark. It was worse than it looked before. Charlotte saw and twisted her hand over Anna's back. Cream appeared on her back and before I knew it, it was all soaked in like a mask. Anna got up and ran out of the room. I followed to see Werewolves crowded around her. Then Charlotte came out of the room and into the main room. It was not the fanciest but it was nice. "Anna, do you want to see your true form?" To my surprise, Anna nodded. Soon she was on a platform, covered with swirls of magic. She was filled with light, and when the light brought her back down, I was awe-struck. Anna had her black hair with red chunks in front, along with her white stripe. She had a gray wolf's fur on my mother's old top with a matching long skirt. She wore matching gray wolf heels, and her gem stone necklace was glowing. Her hair was flowing all the way down to the floor, and she had a teal gem stone crown on top of her head. She looked at me and smiled. I saw her teeth. They were like her mother's, sharp like a vampire's. She had razor-sharp claws, and her eyes were swirling with gold. Charlotte walked up to Anna. Anna looked down at her mother. Charlotte said something in whereish and I looked at Anna, curiusly. "Little mother." Anna said and I laughed a bit. But then Charlotte looked up and down at Anna and gasped.
"How-can this be?"
"What do you mean mother?"
"You are the descendant of Winter."
"But so are you."
"Anna, we are Downworlders, not humans. For Downworlders, a descendant is when the most cherished ancestor, chooses someone who is worthy of being their descendant and their spirit goes through that person's body as a baby, leaving half of them behind. You were chosen by Winter. And you Kaden, I think you were chosen by Zandar. The prince of Zombies."
The next thing I know, I was on the platform and magic was swirling all around me. I was hit with light and it went black. I woke up minutes later in darkness. But then I saw someone walking towards me. I backed up, but the person kept coming closer. The person was a man. A very handsome man, who was tall and mysterious. He was an exact replica of me, only he was wearing a prince's suit with a crown. "You must be Kaden." I nodded as the man took a step closer. He smiled at me and I felt shivers down my spine. "I am Zandar, prince of the Zombie clan." My eyes widened and I took a couple steps back.
"Where am I?"
"The Silent City."
"Okay..."
"You know that your my descendant, you just don't want to admit it. I also know that your affraid of going up to Anastasia and telling her how you feel. Just because of what happend to me and my Winter does not mean that you cannot love."
"What do I have to offer a goddess like her? Anna is smart, sweet, strong, beautiful. She is everything I ever wanted in a lady. And now that I finally met the girl of my dreams, I realized that I have nothing to offer her. I don't stand a chance."
"Of course you do. You may not be rich or anything like that. But you are kind, smart, funny, you show emotion, and you're very attractive. You know, you may think that you have nothing, but really you have everything. All of those things that I named that you are, those are things that girls like Anastasia want in a guy. And all those characteristics that you have, they are rare to find in one person. So don't ever think that you have nothing, because you have everything. You got it from me. The half I left with you is all that."
I looked down at the invisable floor I was standing on. Zandar is right. I need go tell Anna how I really feel and stop being a wimp about it. I looked up at him again and he was so closed go me that I could hear him breath. Then all the suddun, he hugged me and I was wisked off. I woke up with everyone staring at me. I was wearing Zandar's crown and suit. Anna took one look at me and mumbled something. I walked over to Anna with a small smile. She took my hands and put them on her waist. She put her hands on my sholders and we started to dance.
Chapter 9: Alice May.
Music played through the main room as Anna and I danced with each other. I looked deep into her eyes and saw a memory of us when we were younger. Around eleven, and we were dancing smoothly across the old ballroom floor. Her hands were light and quick on my shoulders. She slid her fingers up and down my shoulder and then wrapped her hands around my neck. It burned me, but I didn't care. I was dancing with Anna, my crush, and the most beautiful woman in the world. I looked at her as I twirled her around. She smiled at me. A kind smile. She laid her head on my shoulder, and I could hear her heartbeat. No one's heartbeat was like Anna's or ever could. It sounded like a cat's purr or one of those massage guns. "Do you think we should go back to your dad's house?" Anna asked. She looked tired. It was probably eight o'clock at night and I was super tired.
"Mrs. Paras, will you let me and Anna go back to my father's? We're really tired."
"Very well. But come back immediately tomorrow."
We left, still in our new clothes, and headed back to my dad. I opened the door to see Alice sitting on the couch. Alice wore an evil grin. I looked at her with a disgusted face.
"Hello step son. I see that you really are a Downworlder."
"I thought that you already knew."
"Hm...I see you brought a Werewolf into our home."
"It's just Anna."
"Werewolf princess?"
"How did you know?"
"I'm a Downworlder myself. My name is none other than Alice May."
Anna gasped. Her eyes turned gold and her claws grew longer. Her teeth grew as longs as a vampies fangs. She howled and looked at Alice with anger. She lunged forward to attack Alice but I grabbed her wrist. She looked at me with shock. She tugged her wrist but I hung onto her wrist thanks to my super strength. "Let. Me. Go!" Anna growled through her fangs.
Anna gasped. I looked at her and she was white. Anna's eyes turned gold and she bared her teeth. Her claws grew longer and she howled. I jumped as she lungged twored Alice. I grabbed her wrist and Anna snapped out of it. She looked at me with a shocked expretion. I saw a tear run down her cheek. She tugged on me but I held on. "Let. Me. Go!" She growled. I stared at her for a full three minutes.
"No. Why are you doing this?"
"Well, why are you defending the monster?"
"Because I don't want you to get hurt."
"Why do you care If I get hurt or not?"
"BECAUSE I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU!"
Anna's eyes turned back to normal. She looked at me with an expression that I wish she didn't wear. I looked down at the floor and then back at Anna. She was white. I loosened my grip on her wrist. Alice began to cackle.
"Oh my gosh! A Zombie in love with a Werewolf?! Pathetic! You didn't actually think that this monster of a creature could love you, Kaden?"
"Me?! I'm the monster?! Your the one who lied to Emily, your the one who wears Emily's clothes, Your the one who tortured my mother, your the one who has killed millions of people. Including my Lottie. You killed her! So there you go, Zombie, the reason i'm going to kill your wicked step mother is because she killed my daughter! And yet, you side with her!? And to think that I actually fell in love with you! That I actually cared!"
She dug her claws into my sholder and I screamed. I hit the floor and looked up at Anna. Her eyes were full of rage. She kicked the door down and ran back into the Forbidan Forast. I looked at Alice. she looked back at me with a smirk.
"What did Anna ever do to you? Why did you kill her daughter?"
"Because I was originally Lottie's mother. I was going to kill Anna originally, but I accidentally killed my daughter instead. Anna scratched my face, and I bled. I ran out the door to realize that her father was the man I was engaged to, but her mother stole his heart and threw me out. So I decided that I was going to make sure that her most prized possession would suffer the consequence."
"You are evil."
"And proud of it, my son."
"I. Am. Not. Your. Son!"
I took out the dagger from my belt and struck Alice's chest. The dagger went into her chest and purple blood spilled out. She looked down at me, with eyes of...thankness. She fell to her knees right where I laid. I reached for my dagger but Alice stopped me.
"Please. Don't."
"You WANT to die?"
"Yes, I have wished that I was dead for years. I am the descendant of Jordan. The Werewolf who killed Winter. So Lottie is a Werewolf as well."
"What do you mean, is?"
"Long ago, when I had Lottie, I was poor like you can't even imagine. I couldn't even have a proper meal to eat. But the moment I laid eyes on Lottie, she became all I ever cared about. I just knew that an innocent child with a face of an Angel should have a better home. So I pretended to hate my baby and I gave her to Anna. But when I was doing so much better, I looked for Lottie, but at that time, I didn't even name her so I couldn't go to the police for help. But when I heard what Anna did to my baby and the other thing I mentioned before with Anna's mom, I turned crazy just like Jorden did and tried to kill Anna, but killed Lottie instead. As Anna cried in her room, I took Lottie to an Angel. Isrial. He healed Lottie and sent her to Charlotte. But I was severely punished and sent to Magnus Bane. A Warlock that has helped half breeds like you in the past. But he sure does know how to torture someone. I was cursed to be evil untill someone killed me, and I got to share my side of the story. But now Anna has gone savage and will distroy everything in her sight exept her wolf pack."
"How can I get her to turn back to normal?"
Alice took out a green crystal and put it in my hand. I looked back at her. Her eyes turned marble blue. She coughed up blood and a tried to pull my dagger out but she pushed it back in.
"Take this. It will take you to The Silent City, ask brother Zacharih for help and he will gladly help you. Go. Leave me."
"Will I ever see you again?"
"Sure you will Herondale, Sure you will. I may have been crule, but I know that God knows that deep down, I am a good person and I hope he will forgive me, and let me into heaven."
She shut her eyes and she died. I pulled my dagger out and put it in between her hands. I picked up the jem and twirled it around my fingers. I was not sure how it would take me to The Silent City. I pressed the top and I was wisked off. I was going to set things right.
Chapter 10: The Ending.
Darkness surrounded me and I didn't know what time it was or even what part of The Silent City I was in. I Looked around but saw nothing. I looked over what was infront of me again. I saw a man who was tall and handsom. He had silver hair and eyes and walked almost Silent.
"Welcome to The Silent City, Kaden Xavior Sanchez. Or should I say, Herondale."
"Why do people keep on calling me that?! Who is Herondale?!"
"Your father was Gabrial Herondale, a Shadowhunter but then he married your mother and some very bad stuff has happend. Your real name Is Kaden Herondale. Not Sanchez."
"Um, forgive me for asking, but what exactly is a Shadowhunter?"
"We are also called Niphilim. But we are half Angel and half human. So that makes you half Zombie and your other half is Angel."
"So, you must be brother Zacharih."
"No one has called me that in some time. But please call me Jem."
"Alright, Jem. I need help."
"What," He said taking a step forward. "Can I assist you with?"
"It is Anna. She has turned full Werewolf."
Just then, four other people began to come out of the shadows—two men and two women. You could tell that the two men were related. One had black silky hair with icy blue eyes, and the other had golden hair and eyes. But they both had the face that belonged to an Angel and the same skin. The one woman had brown hair and gray eyes. She was very pretty and familiar. The other woman had red fiery hair and green eyes. She was a little shorter than the others but pretty. "Kaden Herondale, this is your family. William Herondale, but we call him Will." Jem said pointing to the black haired boy. "Jace Herondale," He then pointed to the golden haired boy. "Thresa Gray, but she Is now called Thresa Herondale, but we call her Tessa. She Is married to William, and Jace is her son." The gray eyed girl shook my hand. "Clarissa Morganstern, Now called Clarissa Herondale. We call her Clary and she Is married to Jace." The girl with fiery red hair shook my hand.
"That's a lot of names."
"I won't expect you to remember, after all, you don't have a brain."
Jace laughed at his Fathers joke and Clary and Tessa slapped both of them in the back of the head but they just kept laughing.
Clary put her hand on my shoulder. "Hi, I'm your aunt, and Tessa here, is your grandmother. I am so sorry about my husband and father in-law. They have their little nicknames of insulting names. Please don't take it personaly, they do it to everyone." I shook her hand again and smiled.
"Jem, what are we going to do about Anna?"
Will gasped. He looked at his wife and she looked at Jace and then he looked at Clary. "Are you talking about Anastasia Fadula Fairchild?" Jace asked as he took Clary's hand. Will locked his arms around Tessa's waist as they both shared an unsure glance.
"Her name is not Anastasia Fadula Fairchild. It is Anastasia Fadula Paras."
"Not when your Niphilim. You are suposed to take a Shadowhunters name. Charlotte May Fairchild is her mothers name, she was bitten by a Werewolf, and she became a Werewolf even though she is still Niphilim. So her proper name Is Anastasia Fairchild."
"How are we going to change her back?"
"You have to give her the two most things that she desires."
"Well I know that she doesn't know that Lottie is still alive, so I know she would want that...But what is the other thing she would want?"
Clary slapped her hand on top of her forehead and brought it down Beneath her eyes. William and jace sighed and started walking away in different derections. And Tessa just looked at me and then Clary.
"That's Herondale for you."
"I don't know what you mean." I said
"The girl is in love with you! You will have to kiss her if that is what she dessiers from you."
I just stared and stared at William Herondale. But then I heard a ring in my head. And to think that I actually fell in love with you! That I actually cared! Anna's words rang in my head and then I felt like a massive jerk. I really am an idiot. I thought. I looked away for a moment but looked back again at my family. I nodded a yes and I was wisked off and everything went black.
When I woke up, I was back at my house and Alice was no where to be found. I ran out side to the forbidan forest but I saw a beautiful girl no more than eleven. She had black hair with a white stripe on the right side of her hair and red bangs, her skin was white like she was dead and bright emerald green eyes along with freckles across her nose and cheeks. Lottie.
"Lottie?"
"How do you know my name?" She took a step back
"I'm friends with Anna, your mom."
"Yeah, it's fine. Where is your mom?"
"Den."
I walked up and into the den to see Anna on Wyatt's lap, hugging sweetly. Wyatt looked at me with eyes of rage, but he held Anna's waist tightly to him. She looked over at me, rage and savageness filled her eyes, and flames of fire shot through her eyes. "Look who it is, Darling, the faker." Wyatt said through his teeth. "I can see, My darling." Her hands flew to his shoulders and pressed her head against Wyatt's chest.
The End.
"I am not going anywhere with-" Anna's voice trailed off when Lottie grabbed my arm. Her skin was whiter than it ever was before. "Mommy," Lottie said. At the speed of light, Anna flew over and hugged Lottie. Lottie broke free from the embrace after five minutes and she grabbed my arm tightly. "Mom, he brought me to you." Anna glared at me and her teeth grew. "Step away from my daughter, Zombie!" She yelled. I didn't move, not even a little. I looked at Lottie, she read my mind and hugged my arm. Anna got so mad that she howled. An ear pircing howl. She lungged toward me, and Lottie stepped away as Anna attacked me.
We faught so much that I thought she would actually kill me. We both had bruised arms and blood running from our lips. She lungged for my neck when I locked my left hand around Anna's waist and my other flew to her right hand. I smashed my lips against her's and everything stopped.
It felt as if time had stopped and everything was frozen. I thought of all the times I was with Anna, dancing, hugging her, helping her, All of it. The kiss was a really painfull. I tasted so much salt and blood. I didn't know if it was my blood or hers but the only thing I knew, was that I was drowning, in the soft, but painfull kiss. I looked at her eyes and they changed. She was so shocked but she fell into it to. We broke free, and her claws were bunched up into my shirt. She smiled at me. That smile. That georgeus smile.
Then, Wyatt came at me and scrached my chest. The place were my heart was. I fell back but Anna came over to me. I don't remember much of what happend, only Wyatt being caried off and Anna kissing me, once more.
When I woke up, I was in the hospital. Anna sat next to me. My shirt was off and a long scrach laid on my chest. Anna came over to me and kissed me. That kind of heart-warming kind of kiss. I grabbed ahold if her back and she hugged me. "Hey, how are you feeling?" She asked me.
"Good. But I'm about to feel even better." I pulled out a sapphier ring from my pocket and held it up to her. Tears, filled her eyes.
"Anna, I know that you have only known me for a month, but I have known you more. Marri would tell me about you all the time, and every day, I would fall in love with the bravest girl in the world. I want you to know that I will never stop loving you,"
"Kaden-"
"I will love you till the day I die. And if there is life beyond death, I will love you then. I know that it is forbiddin but I can't watch you date guys, fall in love, get married, and I will die a little each day. So, will you marry me, Anastasia Fudula Fairchild?"
"Yes. Yes I will Kaden, Xavior, Herondale."
I married Anna in the traditional Shadowhunter way and Now, I tell the story to my four children, with another on the way, about how I met their mom and my greatest adventure.
The End.
