Sam
Sam had spent the better part of his morning getting himself ready.
There was a party at the lake today, and most of the popular kids at his school would be there.
He and Geleel wouldn't dare show up there on any other day, but now that the two had their own set of wheels, which was like a student right of passage to popularity, they were going to pop up at the party.
The young Witwicky then opened his houses door as he noticed Geleel's coupe was parked on the curb.
"Wassup Ms. Witwicky, it's been too long." He noticed his best friend laughing as the former hugged his mother, Judy Witwicky.
"I know! You should come by for dinner sometime." Judy urged him as they separated.
"That's only if you're bringing over an entrance fee!" Ron shouted as Geleel arched a brow at him.
"Shutup Ron!" Judy shouted as her husband chuckled, he was only joking.
"Yo, I thought we were meeting up somewhere else?" Sam questioned as he walked up to his friend.
"I figured you'd be late as usual so I thought I'd just drop by and get you." Geleel said as Sam deadpanned.
"Hey, you boys oughta be careful with those cars, alright? I know how young boys such as yourself get when yall are behind the wheel." Judy warned them as they prepared to leave.
"Come on Judy, they're never gonna be men if you baby them all the time." Ron said to his wife as she placed her hand on her hip and gave him a deadpanned expression.
"Ease up ma, we'll drive safe!" Sam shouted as he got into his camaro.
Geleel got into his coupe as his car started with a rough roar.
"You better!" Judy shouted as Geleel was the first to pull off.
"Bye!" Sam shouted before trying to start the camaro.
It sputtered on as a plume of black smoke escaped the exhaust pipe.
Sam drove off as his parents coughed and tried to bat the smoke out of their sinuses.
"Really? That's the death trap you put our only son behind?" Judy questioned her husband.
"Eh, it's the first car, it's supposed to be like that." Ron said with a shrug as he began gardening again.
"Whatever Ronald." Judy said as she went back to her business.
Sam and Geleel
They were now almost at the party destination, they would've been here quicker but they had to stop to pick up Sam's friend.
Sam introduced him to Geleel as Miles as the latter rode in Sam's camaro.
Geleel drove his coupe at a reasonable distance from Sam's camaro as the latter was the one with the location.
"Dude, are you sure we're really allowed at this party?" Miles questioned Sam.
"Ofcourse Miles, it's a lake, it's public property." Sam said as he stopped his car in a parking spot, soon Geleel parked his car right next to Sam.
All three boys got out of the cars as they congregated.
"This shit don't look as crazy as you made it seem Sam." Geleel said as he scanned the party guests.
"Will you relax? We just got here why are you already being negative?" Sam questioned his friend who threw his hands up in defense.
Sam then scanned the guests as well only to gasp in realization when he noticed an all too familiar face.
"Guys, guys, Mikaela's here!" Sam almost shouted as Miles and Geleel instanly followed his line it sight, Mikaela was probably one of if not the most popular seniors in the school.
Geleel however, instantly lost focus on Mikaela...his attention was completely stolen by the girl next to her, it was Yvette Greene, she graduated from Isaac Newton high last year with the second highest gpa in the school.
Geleel took note of the jacket she was wearing...he had no clue she would commit to that college.
"UCLA." He said to himself as he took note of the familiar gold and blue colors of the college.
He wouldn't lie to anyone, the girl was downright beautiful, but he immediately shot down any idea if pursuing her, for one, college girls didn't go after dudes that were still in high school no matter the age difference, and last he checked, Yvette had a boyfriend.
"Okay look, Miles, you don't do anything weird, please?" Sam said as he made sure Miles understood what he meant.
"Let's go, everyone act calm." Sam said to both Geleel and Miles as they all took a breath and began walking towards Mikaela and Yvette, they failed to notice Mikaela's boyfriend, Trent, and his goons were lurking around.
Before they got to the girls, Trent pulled Mikaela into a half hug as Yvette stood next to them.
"Wassup guys?" Trent called out to the trio as Miles awkwardly nodded at him and Geleel gave him a chin jut.
"Nice cars you got there." Trent said in a bit of a condescending tone as he walked up to them.
Geleel put a hand on Sam's shoulder as he signaled for his best friend not to accept the compliment, it wasn't genuine.
The two boys were trying to figure out what to say as Trent approached them, Mikaela, Yvette and the rest of the goons followed closely.
Before they could think of a plan, Miles, almost as if on sheer impulse, leaped onto a tree and began swinging around like a monkey.
"You gotta be shittin me." Geleel said through gritted teeth as he and Sam began internally panicking, this situation was already awkward enough...
"So, what are you guys doing here?" Trent questioned in an aggressive tone as the two boys fully focused on him again, scrambling to find an answer to the question.
Geleel scanned the group as his best friend was trying to do the talking part...Mikaela was giving them an unreadable expression, Yvette was arching a brow as she was seemingly fighting back a laugh, she probably thought they were common losers.
Geleel then noticed the goons were eying them up like a pack of wolves...and they were pieces of meat.
"Well...we're here to climb this tree." Sam's voice drew Geleel out of their thoughts as he almost facepalmed, all that time, and THAT was what he came up with?
"Oh wow, I...I see that, it looks fun." Trent said condescendingly as they watched Miles continue swinging around in the tree.
"You know something...I think I recognize you two, yall tried out for the football team last year right?" Trent questioned as Geleel and Sam immediately panicked, that was a dark time.
"Nahhh, I think you mixin us up with other people." Geleel tried to lie as Trent didn't buy it.
"Yea, it was you two, you both got flattened on two different plays." Trent said as he stifled a laugh.
"Oh no, no, that wasn't like a real try out, it was just like research for a book we're working on." Sam said with a feigned smile.
"Oh really, what was it about? Sucking at sports." Trent questioned them some more.
"Haha, this guy's a real comedian huh guys?" Geleel questioned the rest of the group as everyone minus Mikaela and Yvette gave him deadpanned looks.
Yvette despite herself, let out a small snicker as Trent arched a brow at her.
"Sorry, sorry, his sarcasm was kinda funny." Yvette admitted as Mikaela smiled at her friend's antics and bumped her.
Trent grumbled at the two girls before turning back to Geleel and Sam.
"So you think you're funny, huh?" Trent questioned as he menacingly walked up to Geleel and Sam.
"Uhhh." Sam began to panick again.
"Funny? Me? Nahhh, I'm just sayin man, your prowess with those jokes was like, mesmerizing." Geleel said as he threw his hands up in defense.
"Stop using big words, you're gonna get him angrier." Sam whispered to his friend.
"Well you not exactly helping!" Geleel whispered back a little louder.
"Hey!" Trent exclaimed as they jumped slightly and refocused on him.
"I wasn't finished talking to you yet." Trent said aggressively as he was seemingly ready to strike Sam in the face.
"Okay that's enough Trent, stop." Mikaela got in front of the boys as she pushed her boyfriend back gently.
Trent spat on the floor in front of Sam and Geleel before turning and leaving with Mikaela on his arm.
Yvette offered the boys a small wave before turning and following her group.
They both had awkwardly waved back, the girl had decided that the boys were kinda cute, not cute in the boyfriend way, but cute in the sense of weird and awkward losers; which wasn't really a good thing.
"Well that went well." Geleel said as he along with his best friend looked over to Miles who was now hanging upside down from the tree, the latter's head had turned red due to the blood rushing there.
"Okay get out of the tree, like right now." Sam said through gritted teeth as Miles didn't seem to keen on complying.
"Just please, get out of the tree." Sam urged him as he groaned and jumped out of the tree.
Miles stumbled as Geleel was forced to catch him.
"You good bruh?" Geleel questioned Miles as he regained his footing and nodded his head.
"Yup, just dizzy." Miles said with a dopish smile.
"What are you doing?" Sam questioned him.
"Should I do more tricks? All the chicks were looking at us." Miles stated with another smile.
"I promise you that's not a good thing in this case." Geleel said as he took note of the numerous females who were pointing and laughing in their directions.
"We all look like idiots right now, thanks Miles." Sam said as he turned and they began walking back to the cars.
"Aww you're welcome guys." Miles said as he tried to put them in half hugs.
"Let's just go." Geleel said as they continued walking to the cars, operation: instant popularity was a bust.
As Miles loaded into the camaro Sam was about to do the same, Geleel was already in his coupe.
Sam stopped halfway through opening his door.
He took note of Mikaela and Yvette angrily storming away from their groups, now Sam didn't know what had happened...but he had an idea brewing.
Suddenly the Camaro's radio came on by itself and the chorus of 'Drive by The Cars,' had begun playing.
"Hey man, what's wrong with your radio?" Miles questioned as Sam continued watching the girls walk angrily away.
"I'm gonna drive her home tonight..." Sam altered the lyrics to the song.
"Come on man, they're common concubines just let them walk!" Miles shouted.
"Mikaela lives 10 miles from here this is my only chance, you gotta be understanding." Sam urged Miles as Geleel started his coupe finally.
"Okay well stuff her in the back and let her friend walk; it's all good-" Sam cuts Miles off.
"Did you just say stuff her in the back of a two seater? Miles I'm not putting her in the back, you gotta get out now." Sam said as he pulled Miles out of the car.
"Wha- this is a party foul!" Miles shouted as Sam ignored it.
"What's going on?" Geleel questioned them as he put his head out of his window.
"This simp is breaking the bro code!" Miles shouted again as Sam deadpanned.
"Fine, I'll just ride with my new best buddy Geleel here, you go save your concubine." Miles said as he was about to get in Geleel's car.
"No! No! Wait I need Geleel too." Sam said as Miles and Geleel both gave him incredulous looks.
"Need Geleel for what?" Geleel questioned in third person.
"Exactly!" Miles shouted again.
"Come on man! This could be my only chance with Mikaela! I need you to come with me so Yvette can ride in your car and not make it awkward." Sam pleaded as Geleel sighed.
"Come on Geleel, don't simp out like him." Miles urged the dreadhead, he needed a ride home.
"Shutup Miles!" Sam shouted as the latter stuck his tongue out.
"I don't know Sam, how do we even know Yvette or Mikaela would agree to ride with us?" Geleel questioned him.
"Come on dude, Yvette laughed at your joke and even waved at us, she thinks we're semi cool, and if she rides with you Mikaela will obviously ride with me, it's science!" Sam tried to urge his friend.
"She only laughed because she thought we were corny losers, and are you forgetting something? She HAS a boyfriend!" Geleel exclaimed as Sam scanned the party.
"Uhhh, he's nowhere to be found and both girls are walking home, come on G...we do everything together, you really gonna leave me hanging on this one alone? Do you want that on your conscience?" Sam questioned Geleel who arched a brow.
"Wow, guilt tripping, that's nice." Geleel said as he nodded his head and tapped his steering wheel.
Geleel then looked from Miles who was shaking his head to Sam who was expectantly waiting for a yes.
The dreadhead then relented, he had to stick with his best friend no matter what.
"Fine Sam, but if we get embarrassed and scarred for life...I'm blaming you." Geleel said as Sam fist pumped and Miles threw his hands up in defeat.
"Let's do this come on, brothers for life until we die..." Sam began as he put his fist out to Geleel.
"Turn my back on you? When pigs fly." They both said simultaneously as they fist bumped, they had been saying that since they were 10.
Sam then hurriedly got into his camaro.
"Sorry Miles." Geleel apologized as the blond deflated.
"It's whatever man, go save your concubines." Miles said in annoyance as Sam and Geleel took off after the girls.
The two cars sounded through the air loudly as they came to a halt in front of the girls.
"Uh, you ladies need rides?" Sam questioned them both, so not as to seem as he was only focused on Mikaela, which he was.
Yvette and Mikaela looked at eachother before looking back at the boys, their cars weren't the...best but, a free ride home was a free ride home.
"There's no way we're actually gonna agree to this, right?" Mikaela questioned Yvette.
"I know I know, but look, these boys look harmless, let's just take the free rides, the sun is beaming!" Yvette urged her friend.
"Fine, fine, let's just do this." Mikaela said as they approached the cars, she got in the camaro as Yvette got into the coupe.
"Uh, hey." Sam said awkwardly as Mikaela offered him an awkward fake smile before turning back to the road ahead.
"Okay, I'll uh, just start driving." Sam said as he turned and began driving down the path.
Geleel allowed Yvette to get settled into his coupe.
"What the..." She trailed off as she struggled to get the seatbelt situated.
"Here lemme just..." Geleel trailed off as he grabbed the seat belt and repeatedly tried to jam it into the lock, after a few more tries he finally got it in.
"Gotta get that fixed." Geleel said sheepishly.
"Yea, you do..." Yvette trailed off as he finally drove off and began following Sam.
Well, that went about as awkward as Geleel imagined it would.
The first 10 minutes of the drive in each car was rather silent.
"So, you paid for this all by yourself?" Yvette questioned Geleel as he scrambled, was she talking to him? Ofcourse she was talking to him, who else would she be talking to?
"Yea, yea, worked the whole summer." He revealed as she hummed at that.
"Nice, did you pay for that custom design?" She questioned the symbol on the horn.
"Uh nah, that kinda just came with the car." Geleel said as Yvette hummed again...and after that silence befell them once more.
"You wanna uh, listen to music or something?" Geleel questioned as he was trying to make her more comfortable.
"Uh, sure why not." Yvette said with a shrug.
Before Geleel could even touch the radio, it had seemingly moved by itself and 'Girl of My Dreams by Rod Wave,' began playing.
"You know I love them braces them big lips that red skin, you know I love the faces you make when we sexin, can't get you off my mind, you my obsession..." The song sang as Geleel's eyes widened and he began scrambling to turn the song off.
"Is that on your playlist or something?" Yvette questioned him as he seemingly fought with the radio.
"Nah, I don't know what's happening right now." Geleel said as he slapped the radio.
"Shut up!" Geleel shouted as the radio finally turned off and he breathed exasperatedly, he then turns to Yvette as she was more uncomfortable than she was before...mission failed successfully?
"Okay, maybe we shouldn't put that on...like ever." She said as Geleel fought the urge to sigh, he hated Sam right now, he put him in this position, the dreadhead thought as he glared at the back of Sam's camaro.
"It's so hot in here." Yvette broke another stint of silence as she fanned herself.
The girl then took her jacket off as she failed to realize the shirt she had on under the jacket had raised up and Geleel had caught a glimpse of her well toned midsection as it glistened with sweat.
He couldn't help but admire it for a moment, but he swiftly looked away so that he wouldn't feel like a closet perv.
"Uh, I got gatorades in the cooler back there." Geleel offered up a drink to Yvette as she looked back to notice a cooler was indeed in the back of the car.
She opened it and fished out a nice cold Cool Blue gatorade.
"Thank you." She said as she opened it and began taking sips to refresh herself.
"No prob." Geleel said curtly as they kept on driving.
"Damn." Yvette said to herself after another intermission of silence had ensued as Geleel eyed her.
"What's wrong?" He questioned her.
"It's just...I don't know, I hate how beautiful girls like Mikaela align themselves with assholes like Trent Matthews." Yvette complained as Geleel hummed at that, she wasn't particularly wrong, but she was also being a hypocrite.
"You think she should date someone that acts more like Darren Cunningham?" Geleel questioned Yvette as she instantly stopped sipping the gatorade and tensed up at the mention of her ex boyfriend...the dreadhead didn't know they had broken up after highschool.
What he did know however, is he had fought Darren numerous times back when he was a freshman and the douchebag was a sophomore, though Yvette didn't recognize the dreadhead, which was better for him to be honest, word on the streets was Elijah had joined a gang now, Geleel was not in the mood to get shot over this.
"No, if she had someone like him I'd actually pray for her every night, there was a reason we broke up." Yvette said firmly as she turned to Geleel who was taken back by this info, he though Yvette would be wrapped around Darren's finger for life.
"How do you know Darren anyways?" She questioned the dreadhead.
"Lived in the same neighborhood." Geleel lied as she hummed at it, she didn't know anyways.
"Why did you guys break up? If you don't mind me asking?" Geleel questioned her.
"He cheated." Yvette answered without an inch of hesitation, she didn't care about that dude anymore.
"Wow." Was all Geleel said.
"What?" She questioned him.
"Nothing...I just never expected Darren to be THAT stupid." Geleel began as Yvette turned to him again.
"Any dude who would cheat on you has to be on the spectrum." Geleel said as Yvette's face lit up slightly as she turned away again.
"Stop talking so much Geleel Barlett." She said his full name as he chuckled at her slightly, they were easing up.
"I'm serious." He said to her.
"I know, I know, thanks." She thanked him.
"I just wish I didn't give such idiotic guys chances ya know, I just want a genuine relationship that lasts forever, but the way things are these days, I don't thi-" Yvette cuts herself off as Geleel suddenly slammed on the breaks.
He had did that when he noticed Sam's camaro parked to the side if the road as Mikaela was seemingly working on the engine.
"What's happening?" Geleel questioned them as he and Yvette exited the parked coupe and approached Sam and Mikaela.
"Sammy here doesn't understand his own engine." Mikaela said as she tweaked the engine.
"Hey! That is not true!" He shouted as Geleel and Yvette chuckled at them, it looks like they too had become comfortable with eachother.
"I don't know Sam; it looks like she might be right." Geleel said as Sam deadpanned at him.
"Didn't I tell you I wasn't gonna let you have your head stuck under a car hood this Summer?" Yvette questioned her friend as she bent over next to her and they began bantering whilst Mikaela continued tweaking the car's engine.
"Shouldn't we be...helping?" Geleel questioned Sam as they were both mesmerized by the...view...yes...a very nice view it was they thought as they dapped eachother up silently.
"Nah, I think we're good." Sam said as despite popular interest, they were certainly not being pervs, they were just admiring the assets before them.
"Ya know, we don't really have to go home right now." Yvette said as Mikaela closed the hood.
"Wait, what?" Sam questioned.
"Yea, the day is still kinda young, you guys wanna...chill out here for a bit?" She questioned as the boys scrambled.
"What are you doing?" Mikaela questioned her friends in a hushed tone.
"What? The least we could do is hang out with them as thanks, besides, it's not like we're dating them, it's just a friendly hang out." Yvette stated as Mikaela sighed.
"Fine, but strictly friends, I am so not in the mood to date anyone, like ever again." Mikaela said with an eyeroll.
"I know the feeling mama, come on." Yvette ushered her friend back over to Sam and Geleel.
"So, you guys interested in hanging with us?" Yvette questioned them.
"Uh, yea sure, why not." Sam answered shakily.
"Great." Yvette said as she opened Geleel's car and fished out a gatorade for each of them.
She handed everyone a drink as she smiled at all of them.
Mikaela eyed the orange gatorade awkwardly, it had been a while since she had one of these, it was her favorite as a kid.
All of Trent's party consisted of nothing but alcoholic beverages, Mikaela only pretended to like them for him to be honest, being drunk and hungover felt horrible and beer tasted like shit.
"Cheers to new friends?" Yvette questioned as they all opened their gatorades and she raised her.
"Yea...yea, new friends." Geleel said as he raised his.
Mikaela shrugged and raised her gatorade up as well, she certainly wouldn't see herself dating any guys in the near future, but these guys seemed cool enough to atleast be her new friends.
Sam was the last to raise his gatorade as they cheered...it was a very unlikely meeting, and an even more unlikely friendship but, here the four stood as the sun set, sipping on gatorades and getting to know eachother better.
Later
Geleel had driven Yvette to her home as he parked outside the house.
"Well, this is my stop." Yvette said as she turned to Geleel.
"Ya know, you and your friend Sam aren't so bad, I really had a nice time today." Yvette said with a smile.
"Thanks, you and Mikaela are pretty cool too." Geleel complimented her as she smiled at him.
"Maybe I'll see you around sometime Geleel Barlett." Yvette said as she offered him a hug.
Geleel swiftly moved to return the hug so that the girl wouldn't see him as rude and or disrespectful.
He swiftly was able to take in her scent, even though she had sweated during the heat wave, her vanilla scent was still ever present.
She then broke the hug before exiting the car.
"Bye, I'm taking this one for the road." Yvette said as she showed him the gatorade she had just retrieved and turned with one last wave before walking up to her front door.
She had her UCLA jacket draped on her back but her bottom half was still exposed.
"Damn." Geleel said under his breath as he couldn't for the life of him understand how her figure was so perfect.
As Yvette entered her home Geleel immediately got the idea to call Sam.
Coincidentally Sam had called him first and they were both smiling into the camera like idiots not knowing what to say.
"So? I take it things went well with Mikaela Banes?" Geleel questioned his friend who nodded eagerly.
"Hell yea! She said she had a great time and that we were cool enough to hang out with again!" Sam shouted as he fist pumped.
"That's wassup Sam, I gotta say, this plan seemed stupid at first...but I'm glad we went along with it." Geleel said with a smile still plastered on his face.
"I told you it would work, how were things with Yvette? Is she still with that Darren guy?" Sam questioned.
"No, they broke up a few months back." Geleel admitted as Sam gasped.
"Bro you basically have to go after her now." Sam urged his friend who arched a brow.
"What? Why?" Geleel questioned him, how did that lead to that conclusion.
"Think about it, she's vulnerable and coming off a breakup, now would be the perfect chance to pursue her." Sam explained as Gelee shook his head.
"So you're basically telling me to use a woman's emotional trauma to manipulate her into liking me?" Geleel questioned his friend.
"Well when you put it that way...it sounds terrible, but still! I think you should go after her." Sam said as Geleel thought it over.
Yvette did say she wanted genuine love and loyalty...could he be the guy to offer her that? He didn't think so to be honest.
"Ima talk to you later Sam." Geleel said as he ended the call.
After sitting in thought for a bit, he drove off on his way home.
Later
Geleel laid in his bed after freshening up and dressing into his pajamas.
He was plagued by what Sam said about him and Yvette for a bit...but thinking back to the events of today, he couldn't help but smile to himself, regardless of if he and Yvette could one day be something or not, life was good for that matter.
The dreadhead couldn't help but think his new car was the jumpstart of it all, as he began succumbing to sleep and happy blissful thoughts.
Outside the house
Speaking of a certain blue coupe, the car sat stationary in the driveway.
Suddenly, the engine roared alive, with no one behind the wheel?
The coupe then suddenly pulled out of the highway as it began driving down the street.
After a about a 20 minute drive, the coupe found itself in the middle of a junkyard.
It just parked itself there and was seemingly waiting for something.
10 more minutes had passed as Sam's camaro soon pulled up in front of the camaro, it also had no one behind the wheel.
"Took you long enough Bumblebee." The coupe seemingly spoke.
"Shut...up...blur." The camaro shakily said through it's radio.
"Yea, yea, let's just get this over with." The coupe stated as it's doors flipped up and it's hood began doing the same.
The camaro was also undergoing some sort of transformation as well.
The two cars had transformed simultaneously, legs, arms, heads, faces became visible.
After the metallic clanging of the transformation had ceased, the cars had fully transformed into two bipedal robot looking individuals, Bumblebee and Blur.
"Alright bee, let's get this signal out quick before Sam and Geleel realize our car forms are gone." Blur said as Bumblebee nodded and fired a blue streak of light out of his hand into the sky.
Luckily it was late at night and they were in a junkyard, so no one would see two giant robots shooting a blue light into the sky.
Or so they thought, because unbeknownst to them, Samuel Witwicky was lurking in the shadows of the junkyard.
He had heard his car engine turn on and decided to follow it thinking someone was stealing his vehicle...only to find out his vehicle was a 20 foot robot...and it would appear Geleel's car was one too.
Sam immediately took photos and videos of this as he was prepared to send it to Geleel, he was panicking.
"Shit." He said to himself when he realized the phone was on one percent.
Sam had gotten all the evidence he needed he decided, he immediately got up and began ranning away, he didn't know what the robots would do to him if they found out he knew their secret.
Right now he just had to get home quick, charge his phone, and call Geleel as soon as possible.
Those were the only things racing through his mind right now...he had given up on the thought that this was a dream.
Geleel, much later
Geleel coulda sworn he heard his car engine on just now as he had woken up to take a leak.
Unfortunately when he checked his window to see the car was parked in the same spot as he left it, he had no choice but to accept it.
Maybe someone drove through the neighborhood with a similar engine to his.
He didn't care as he went to his room and flopped back on his bed; prepared to sleep again, completely unaware of Sam blowing his phone up due to the fact it was on silent...
