Chapter 6: Instinct

Akito struts through the corridor, his entourage of five following close behind. He watches the students move aside, creating a path for them. He relishes the whispers, grinning at the glares and the looks of admiration.

"This way Boss" Ram gestures for Akito to enter as they reach the open door of their classroom.

"Good work" Akito smiles. He heads to his desk, which was beside the window. Pulling out his chair, he takes a seat. Ram takes a seat behind him, as he does, Akito shivers unconsciously remembering the times when Ram would assist him to his seat, which included pulling out his chair and tucking him back in. 'Thank goodness I stopped that,' Akito sighs internally.

He turns to Ram and the other four students that accompanied him, "All of you concentrate. A villain needs to be strong both physically and mentally, so listen carefully in class. I won't forgive anyone who fails, understood!"

"Yes Boss!" They reply in unison.

Hours had passed. Akito gracefully walks into their classroom, arms filled to the brim with snacks, for their final lesson. He falls into his chair and dumps all the sugary goodness onto his desk. Mouth-watering, he carefully organises each snack in the perfect order of consumption. The rest of his group roll their eyes and smile at the absurd amount of concentration radiating from his expression. As he picks up the first chocolatey goodness, a green haired woman walks in. He looks up at the unknown woman in confusion, the others glance around as well.

The woman gestures at the door where three individuals enter, placing numerous textbooks on each of their desks.

"Today's history lesson is self-study, follow the tasks on the sheet of paper and grab all the essential information from the textbooks provided. If you need anything don't come to me, unless it's about battle formations." She nods and leaves, the other three individuals following her without question. His confusion fades as he realises who she is, recognisng her militaristic countenance. She was Green Claw, one of the top three villainous military strategists who work within their school. His pulse begins to race at having seen one of the smartest villains that he admired.

His group grins at him, Ram gesturing wildly at the open door, "Is that, who I think it is?"

He turns in his chair, grinning at Ram, making everyone gossip in excitement.

Turning back to face his desk, he picks up the sheet and begins to read. His grin slowly drops as he explores the list of heroes and villains that they would need to explore, one being Midoriya Izuku. He quickly glances at his group, who were obliviously chatting away, taking advantage of the self-study session.

He places the sheet back on his desk and stretches. Yawning, he states, "Forget this, I'm off.".

"You off to the roof?" Ram asks.

He nods, "I need a nap, see ya later." He rises from his chair and walks out, casually waving his hand as he leaves. Keeping his expression calm as he walks through the empty hallways. Reaching the roof, he waves his arm in the air, then hurriedly takes out his phone.

In an undisclosed location, Kon sits in front of his numerous monitors and TV screens. He watches numerous CCTV footage from across the city whilst hacking into databases for the information he requires, for work and for- well- fun. Eating the lunch his mother made him, he changes a few of the screens to show live footage, one of their house, inside his UA school classroom, Villain Academy and one showing the outside and inside of a modern apartment building. He watches carefully, his eyes picking up even the slightest of changes.

He pauses from eating as notices a familiar figure walking onto the rooftop of Villain Academy. Recognising the arm waving lunatic, he grabs his phone to call but receives one instead. Answering he asks, "Everything good?"

"No," Akito responds.

"What happened?" He puts his lunch box aside, now alert.

He could hear Akito release a long, deep sigh. "Honestly, I'm not a hundred per cent sure, I may be overreacting but thought it would be best for us to know. Tell Shiki as well, but Midoriya Izuku was brought up in class today."

Kon grabs his keyboard and mouse, zooming into the live footage from inside his UA classroom. "You as well huh."

"What? Me as well?" Akito questions.

"Yeah, he came up in our history class today. I'm keeping an eye on Shiki."

Before he could continue, Akito interrupts, "That's not right. He vanishes for years, which isn't surprising, but due to the shame and disgust from both the heroes and many villains, his name was never brought up, until now. And when it is, it's in both schools on the same day. Something's not right."

A shiver runs up Kon's spine. Nobody in our family ever questions Akito's instincts. If he says something is wrong, something is wrong.

"I'll see what I can find," Kon states.

"Be careful," Akito responds. "I know this may be an overreaction for something so small but-"

"I got you." Kon interrupts, his expression stern. He sees Akito nod slightly on the Villain Academy footage before the call is cut.

He quickly checks all the footage that monitors his parents and siblings, ensuring they're okay, before leaning back on his chair and sighing.

He loves his family more than anything and will protect them no matter what. He would support every one of them or die trying.

His eyes darken to an unnatural shade of black before starting his search.
