It was pouring in Sonic Adventure's Station Square as Vector was counting the huge pile of money he had in his office, seeing a wet Silver walk into the office.

"You're late." Vector responded as he watched Silver grab the nearby dry towel and use it on himself.

"I know." Silver pointed out as he glanced at Vector. "To be fair, you would be late too if you were halted by a downpour."

Vector just shrugged as he kept counting his money, with Silver heading into the kitchen to warm himself up.

"You're late." Amy remarked as she spotted Shadow teleporting into the Pizza Hut, with it being near closing time as it was nighttime. "Very late."

"Yeah, well i wad doing something for Knuckles." Shadow defended himself as he took a glance around the Pizza Hut to see that it was empty. "Besides, it's better to have a date with lesser people."

Amy rolled her eyes as she finished the slice of pepperoni pizza he was eating, having almost eaten the entire pizza she was planning to share with Shadow.

"You're late." Espio remarked as he saw Rotor enter, with it snowing outside the Pizza Hut.

"Yeah, and you know why?" Rotor remarked as he had snow covering him up.

"...good point." Espio stated as he shrugged, taking a sip of his coffee as he offered some to Rotor, who clearly looked like he needed it.

"You're so late!" Charmy playfully teased as he buzzed around Toadette.

"Give me a break, all right?" Toadette responded as she began playing around with the pizza dough. "Time flies when you're having fun! I didn't realize that I had work today!"

"That's why schedules exist." Dry Bowser pointed out as he was trying out the newly installed pinball machine themed after Pizza Hut.

"God, I'm exhausted." Space Ghost pointed out as he took a sip from his mug, glancing at the drink he was sipping. "...is this decaf?"

"...Don't know. It just came in an orange container." Moltar responded as he was cleaning around the basement floor, with there being little visitors in the subway station.

"Hmmm." Space Ghost remarked as he noticed the R.O.B. unit that helped out the basement activate. "You're late."

"The programming in me took a while," The R.O.B. explained while moving his mechanical arms slowly, with Space Ghost deciding to go check out wat was in the orange container Moltar found.

"You're late." Rouge remarked as she watched Knuckles emerge from the staircase.

"You'd take forever too if you had to chase thieves stealing away your precious objects," Knuckles remarked as he held small green shards of the Master Emerald in his arms, glaring at Rouge. "Something you should know too well."

Rouge chuckled in response as omega was once again playing his favorite game, 'Blast The Badniks'.

"You're late." Silver remarked as he placed several finished pizzas on the green counter, surprised at how long it took for Sonic to show up.

"Yeah, well better late than never!" Sonic stated coolly as he winked while wagging his right index finger, revering to an old saying and the title of the chapter simultaneously.

Silver just rolled his eyes, with thunder booming in the background, like a Sonic Boom.
