"Man..." Silver sighed as he was quite depressed, barely eating through his seasoned plain pizza as he looked like he was on the verge of snoozing, with it being nighttime in Station Square as barely anyone was present.
"What seems to be wrong?" Rouge asked as she was enjoying her fourth slice of pepperoni pizza, noticing that Silver seemed to be out of it.
"Oh... ever since Blaze passed on, I haven't been feeling it." Silver said as he brushed back his quills. "That and the entire apartment burning up... it's quite painful."
"Oh. Well, I'm sorry about that..." Rouge admitted as she rubbed her chin with her other hand. "...So where do you stay since your home is burnt down?"
"Vex has been letting me stay with him, Espio, and Charmy. You'd be surprise at how much space they have in their home." Silver spoke up as he finished up his pizza. "I have to admit, it's kind of better. It's more open for me than the apartment I was in. That and I don't have to worry about paying so much..."
"But you do have to contribute." Vector commented as he shocked Silver and Rouge, the crocodile watching the two pizza eating mammals as he was leaning at the doorway into his office. "I mean sure, I can pay you more here at the Pizza Hut to compensate, but we all gotta do our duty back at home. I even make Charmy do it."
"Yep! Even a free bee like me needs to pay to spree!" Charmy buzzed up as he giggled, having gotten back from cleaning the ovens.
Espio was placing away the chairs into the tables as he turned his head, murmuring. "It's not exactly an easy thing to do... but we get by somehow."
"Mmm. At least I managed to back up all my stuff at the Pizza Hut from the one time I was forced to stay here to watch it..." Silver finished as he was relieved that none of his possessions were lost in the fire he described.
