Hi! Welcome back to my mindscape! I hope everyone is having an amazing day, and I hope you all enjoy this chapter! |:D
(TW For abuse and blood. This chapter is pretty dark so if you feel uncomfortable with it you can skip it, the next chapter will be back with Eda and the gang.)
Luz awoke with a sharp intake of breath, her entire body wracked with pain. The chains binding her wrists and ankles still glowed faintly, their magic keeping her restrained on the cold stone slab. Her throat was raw from screaming, and her muscles ached from the strain. She tried to remember how long she had been in this dark, oppressive chamber, but the days and hours blurred together into an unending nightmare.
The door creaked open, and Luz's heart sank as Belos entered once more. His imposing figure seemed to suck the air from the room, and the cold mask he wore only added to the sense of dread that filled her. He moved with an unnerving calm, each step echoing ominously in the chamber.
"How are you feeling, Luz?" Belos asked, his voice laced with mock concern.
Luz glared at him, summoning what little strength she had left. "What do you want now?" she spat, her voice hoarse but defiant.
Belos's eyes narrowed behind his mask. "Still so stubborn," he mused. "But that will change. You will give me the answers I seek, one way or another."
With a flick of his wrist, the chains tightened, sending a fresh wave of agony through Luz's body. She bit down on her lip, refusing to cry out, but the pain was overwhelming. Every nerve seemed to be on fire, and her vision blurred with tears.
"You can end this suffering at any time," Belos said softly, stepping closer. "Just tell me about the human realm. Tell me about the portal."
Luz shook her head, gasping for breath. "Never," she managed to say through gritted teeth.
Belos sighed, as if disappointed. "Very well. We shall continue."
He raised his hand, and a whip materialized out of thin air, its barbed end glinting in the dim light. Luz's eyes widened in horror as Belos approached, the whip trailing behind him like a snake ready to strike.
"Do you know what this is?" Belos asked, holding the whip up for her to see. "It's a relic from a time when discipline was... less forgiving."
He brought the whip down with a swift motion, and it struck Luz across the chest. She screamed, unable to hold back the sound of pure agony. The barbs tore through her shirt and into her skin, leaving deep, bloody welts.
Belos continued to lash her, each strike more brutal than the last. The pain was unbearable, and Luz felt herself slipping in and out of consciousness. She tried to focus on something, anything, to keep her mind from breaking, but the relentless assault made it impossible.
"Tell me about the portal," Belos demanded again, his voice cold and unyielding.
Luz gasped, trying to draw breath into her burning lungs. "No," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Belos's eyes flashed with anger, and he lashed her again, harder this time. Luz's scream echoed through the chamber, a sound of pure, unadulterated torment. She felt her skin tear, the blood pooling beneath her, and she wondered how much more she could take before her body gave out entirely.
Belos leaned in close, his mask mere inches from her face. "You think you can defy me forever, Luz?" he hissed. "You think your pain means anything to me? You are nothing. A tool to be used and discarded. But you will tell me what I want to know. Everyone breaks eventually."
Luz looked into his eyes, filled with a mix of hatred and determination. "You... will never... break me," she managed to say, each word a struggle.
Belos straightened, his expression unreadable. "We shall see," he said, raising the whip once more.
The torture continued, each lash of the whip sending fresh waves of agony through Luz's broken body. She lost track of time, her world reduced to a haze of pain and blood. But through it all, she clung to one thought: she could not let Belos win. She could not give him what he wanted.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Belos lowered the whip. Luz lay on the slab, her chest heaving, her body a mass of bruises and bleeding wounds. She was barely conscious, but she still held on to that spark of defiance.
Belos looked down at her, his eyes cold and calculating. "You are stronger than I anticipated," he admitted. "But this is far from over. I will be back again soon."
He turned and walked toward the door, leaving Luz alone in the darkness once more. As the door closed with a heavy thud, Luz let out a shuddering breath, her body trembling with pain and exhaustion. She knew that the torture would continue. But she also knew that she could not give in. She had to hold on, to find a way to escape, to stop him.
Sorry that this chapter is so dark, I just want to enforce that Belos is a POS and will do anything for his plan to work. Like I said in the beginning notes, the next chapter will be back with Eda and the gang. Thank you for reading this chapter, I hope you all enjoyed it! If you have any ideas of how I can improve this fic, just leave a comment! If you love it so far, leave a Kudos! Next chapter coming soon to a mindscape near you!
