Fuuka isn't quite sure of when they had talked about it, but she is here, half frowning over rice with lemons in hand. She can't say when she had the conversation about putting lemons in rice balls with Sanada Senpai, but she is fairly certain it has happened. Whole lemon is not as easy of a filling to put in onigiri as they thought.
"What are you doing!?" The horrified voice of Aragaki Senpai calls out.
"Making lemon rice balls?"
"Did Aki put you up to this?" Araigaki Senpai looks like he is despairing when she nods in confirmation.
He sighs. "For the sake of this batch of onigiri, we are going to cut the lemons up, and put the flesh of the fruit inside the rice balls. On its own the skin of the lemon does not have a good texture to make a good rice ball. Not to mention anyone who bites into that monstrosity has to bite through the skin first. "
He frowns aty the many lemons she bought for this endeavour.
"We can make the rest into lemon flavoured rice, by zesting and juicing the lemon, and adding it to the rice when we cook it."
"Thank you Senpai!"
"You can thank me, by never mentioning that I was involved in this." He sounds like he is still despairing.
He passes the cut and skinned lemon pieces to her, and they make the onigiri in a quiet but not uncomfortable silence.
