You look at your brother, and wonder what went wrong. There is a wild look in his eyes, and blood on his sword.
And you know now about the other side and the end of the world, and answers some questions, while bringing up new and worrying ones.
What happened? What the hell happened? What broke the world so much that your brother is this comfortable with violence? With killing!
What were you doing when this went down?
He doesn't look to you for protection. Your brother on this side doesn't either, but you would hope with the world going to hell, that other side's Katsuya would have done something. But other side's Tatsuya seems to be even more hostile twords you, and you don't even know how to begin to try to fix it.
You are trying to be his protector, his brother, but he seems to scorn that, and you are left floundering.
Sometimes you get so angry. At your father, at your brother, at your mother even, at trying and failing to hold together a family that is falling apart. You wanted to bake pastries, not have to be the responsible one. But here you are.
No one is going to thank you for this, but you want to do the right thing instead of the easy one. If you were going to do the easy thing, you might as well have walked away.
But you won't. Family is worth more than to give up that easily. You are not selfish. You are going to go to sleep, and try again with Tatsuya tomorrow.
