Preface:

This is an AU that Takes the Pre-existing established lore and something new. I use the term "Rapture" not as its real 'biblical' meaning, but more as a generalization of the events that took place. More info on the actual AU at the end if this first chapter doesn't explain it too well for you/if im ass at explaining it lol.

This AU largely follows a group of OCs, but is still centralized on the Main plot, with the outside developments. And also U.A is a University. For reasons.

Chapter 1: The boy with no Blessings.

Twenty Years ago, The world was Destined to be annihilated.

Twenty Years ago, The Human Race Made a temporary alliance with their fellow man to survive.

Twenty Years ago, The Angels Came.

Twenty Years ago, The Angels Died.

Twenty Years ago, Humanity Survived the Rapture.

Although nobody truly knew their origins, nor their real purpose, The world had known the meaning of fear when they arrived, What had been thus dubbed "The Seraphim."

Seven Colossal creatures, each with six wings had arrived in Russia, China, the United States of America, France, Australia, Egypt, and Japan.

The Creatures were each distinct, covering faces that later bore Heads of Animals native to each country, both real and Fictional. That of Japan's being a Green Pheasant, Montane Brown Frog, and Tanuki.
Its Wings were made of Flame, each different from the other, and Burnt down half of Osaka before it was stopped, thanks in large part to countless Pro Heroes, Law enforcement, and no short amount of Firefighters.

It was an active effort that lasted six days and Six nights, Putting countless millions in peril, before the Seraph Simply… Stopped.

It had progressed to Shizuoka, Before a Hero, Endeavor by Name, Had struck the Final Blow upon it, Scorching half of the Countryside, Permanently scarring , Shattering it's Wings across all of Japan. The Body, then which crystalized instantly, Hovering there, where it had been struck down, with a death count only at 22.

But the effects of the battle, and the subsequent shattering of such a being were noticeable almost immediately.

Most everyone present during the Battle against the Seraph had gained something from the Angel. Stolen power from God itself, as More Religious people had claimed. Japan's Top heroes, had almost all been granted the Security and Strength of flame.

All but one of the Angels had been stopped at that very moment, almost all of Humanity's efforts simultaneously striking down their Angelic Assailants, And granting new power to people all over the world.

Almost everywhere except the Americas, which continued to be ravaged by the Seraph going west, needing support from nearly every other country who could spare help to put the Angel down.

A death count in the tens of thousands, The Angel had not been killed, nor had it remained.

It simply disappeared, and not a soul present had gained a thing from it.

But everyone carried on. A week later, reconstruction from damaged parts of Japan carried on.

A month later a memorial was constructed.

A year later research on the Seraph was halted.

The week after that, Children with Non-quirk Related powers started being born. Like Quirks, These powers, Only dubbed "Blessings" later on, were Gained by children at birth, and operated almost the same as those who directly interacted with the Seraph.

However, despite Many Researchers and millions of Dollars in research, nobody was able to discern exactly how, or why random children were granted Blessings, but few who gained them ever complained.

At least that's what Izuku's Teachers had taught him, along with everyone else. He had a few things to say about certain people getting fire powers, or even incredible boosts to their Quirk. Side Eyeing Katsuki Bakugo out the corner of his eye, The boy had his feet propped up on the desk, and a shit-eating grin on his face.

The teacher erased the whiteboard, saying:

"Alright kids, Now that today's Lessons are over, Let me go over the Last homeroom for the day…"

The man with stretchy, elongated arms erased the board without moving his feet an inch.

"So, you all are going to be done with High school soon. Great, grand, We're all proud of you for making it this far, you all have the rest of the year, but let's go over your last year's reports, What you're going to be doing with the rest of your lives!"

He says, as excitedly as the man can muster, pulling out a sheaf of papers and spreading them out on his desk.

"Time to start Applying for Colleges, Universities, or Apprenticeships you all want to undertake, Although who am I kidding? You all want to be Heroes!"

The classroom erupted in cheers, as nearly everyone raised their hands and activated their quirks to an extent. The room erupted once again, this time in amounts of limbs in the air, some blood, Errant flames from a few, and an unholy amount of glitter from one individual in particular. Izuku, on the other hand, simply raised his hand awkwardly and kept his head down, avoiding looking at anyone in particular, although his eyes darted over to Katsuki the moment the Young man started talking, loudly at that.

"Oh give it up you Extras! The only one here who's going to be a hero here is Me! None of you got what it takes! Well, except you, Saitama." Katsuki addresses the last portion to a bland looking boy in the back, who promptly de-atomized his pencil in surprise at being addressed.

"But Except for him, I'm the only one here who has a shot at Going to U.A, Much less anyone else here being a hero!"

The teacher, whom had clearly tuned out the class, as well as his sense of Teacher-student Confidentiality, Rifled through some papers before taking out one at seeming random, blurting out:

"Oh yeah, Midoriya, you wanted to be a Hero at U.A too, didn't you?"

The class abruptly went silent, as the audible creak of multiple people's necks turned to look at the Verdant boy.

'Well that's just not fair.' He thought as the class, once again, erupted with Laughter, all pointing some form of extremity or glare at the boy, Saying a variety of derogatory terms and insults at him, from "Quirkless Cuck" to "NPC", and everything in between that a bunch of High school Juniors, soon to be seniors could muster.

At this point, Izuku was mostly used to this, The Counseling he had taken with other Quirkless Groups had taught him a lot about deflecting and dealing with being ridiculed simply for how one was born.

The thing that scared him the most was Katsuki's Reaction.

Izuku barely had any time to respond, as The Platinum blonde boy was on Izuku, his face mere inches away, with crimson eyes that spoke of violent bombardments, and a scowl that could kill rabbits had growled:

"Meet me after class, Deku." With that, Katsuki had backed off, a searing hand mark left on Izuku's Desk, still somewhat smoking.

'... Shit.' Was His only real thought going through his head, as his subconscious had run through a thousand different scenarios.

'Well Kacchan wants to talk to me, which means he wants to remind me of my place with him. Its probably going to turn into either a few burn marks, or if I'm lucky some singed hair. Maybe he'll really just talk to me, about… Mostly about how he's the only one who is going to succeed in this school and that my just being here brings his reputation down and discredits his appearance, that and he's the only one going to make it to U.A in general, from Heroics, Support, Business, logistics, P.R, and anything else U.A offers. And I'm likely to get a smack or something from that and-'

Izuku's subconscious was abruptly halted when a smack came from the back of his head, as he stood his stance up once more, as more people laughed, as the Teacher, retracting his elongated hand, states:

"Ahem, now that that's over, Here are your application forms, Ask me if you need help."

Izuku retracted his lips, looking down at his paper, silently cursing himself and the Faculty of the school.

The teacher willingly looked away from Katsuki's little outburst, after it started.

The class was over, as Izuku did as Katsuki asked of him while he went to gather his lackeys, writing in his Hero analysis Journal no.13.

Katsuki Bakugo: Age: 19. Quirk: Explosion. Blessed.

Kacchan is/was a friend of mine since we were kids, so my data on him is likely the most accurate.

Kacchan Secretes a Glycerine-Like sweat from his palms and lower forearms, From Glans in said sections of his body. While Glycerine, normally a very volatile substance, Is heavily diluted from Kacchan's body, but still needs to be lit occasionally and set off small explosions for safety of others. This sweat, in tandem with His innate ability to set off small sparks in the palms of his hands, can create explosions of large proportions, the heaviest of which recorded was equivalent to three sticks of dynamite, however this is likely a lowball estimate, as this was during controlled quirk testing, where participants had to hold back.

His blessing, Which he called "Fuse", Allows him to control the Approximate heat that is emitted from his hands, and by that extent, his explosions, which allows for something akin to explosions of pure shockwave and no heat, and a short burst of a flamethrower-esq flame.

Some of his weaknesses include: Cold Climates, and Moist environments. On top of that, Kacchan seems to have control over how much he can sweat at any given moment, however he seems to have no control over how Little he can sweat either, as even in the winter without a shirt, he can still produce explosions to a lesser extent.

Izuku Flipped through the notebook, before hearing the door open, as he quickly scrambled to put the book in his bag, while standing up.

"Uhh. Kacchan! Wh-What did you want t-to-"

Katsuki Interrupted him there, as he just said:

"Stop Fucking Dreaming Deku." It was all it took for Izuku to short circuit for a second.

"You're less than a goddamn stain on the sidewalk, and you think you can even walk on it? I'm going to be the only one here worth a damn. You can't be a hero, No Quirk, No Love from any outside force, so sit down and be a shitty Corporate slave for the rest of your life. Enough of this shit."

Katsuki had accepted something from one of his lackeys, a boy with extraordinary long and nimble fingers, as Izuku internally panicked, as he looked back into his bag, only now noticing that his Notebook had been nicked from his bag a moment prior.

"H-Hey!" Without saying a word, and without an ounce of pity or mirth on his face, Katsuki let off a small explosion, Rife with heat, as the book seemingly burst into flames then and there, as Katsuki tossed it past Izuku, through the open window.

"You'll never be a hero, Deku."

For not the first, and certainly not the last time in his life, Izuku looked Katsuki in the eyes, his own full of determination, as he said:

"No! You're Wrong, I can still be a hero! Just you see!"

Katsuki paused, having been in the middle of turning around, only lifting his head up, and saying:

"You know what? Sure, You can be a hero. Or at least I'll believe it the moment you go to that motherfucker and slit your belly for a blessing and a quirk."

The Blonde boy pointed out the window, at the large burnt orange crystalline structure in the distance, floating a number of feet off the ground. It looked like nothing special really, as Izuku grit his teeth, looking away from the other boys.

"... That was vicious." One of his lackeys said, as they walked out the room, leaving Izuku alone.

Later

The Greenette walked home alone, holding the burnt, but thankfully still somewhat intact book in his hands, which by the grace of God had landed in a small pond.

"... Who would I be kidding. There really can't be a God. He wouldn't let people say things like that if he was real. Much less let me walk around like this. The least special Person around."

Walking under a bridge, he took a deep breath, before forcing a smile on his face and letting out a laugh.

"Who would listen to something like that though?!" He asks himself, doing his best impression of All Might.

"I'll Be a hero soon! Just wait and s-"

Izuku for the umpteenth time that day, was interrupted by something, or someone, rocketing out of the Sewer grate behind him, as The Green haired boy watched a gray blur appear out of the sewer, the Manhole cover rocketing out at a somehow faster speed, before the blur smacked down the cover back into its place, as the blur, now slowed down significantly, lands back on the ground, revealing an Asian man in a simple gray bodysuit, with a black bandana around his face. His only real notable feature was the pin on his chest, Labeling "CC"

The man, seemingly not noticing him yet, starts talking to himself.

"Oh yeah, screw you too E. Send the new guy to a 'Simple hit, Just testing, no violence, sure. Fail to tell me All Might is RIGHT FUCKING THERE! That and the Green Glob fucker probably followed me scared shitless that The Number one hero in Japan is here. AT A SHITTY CONVENIENCE STORE!"

Izuku simply stared at the man ranting to himself, while supposedly taking a breather, as he finally noticed Izuku standing there.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Say nothing sir, I'm Just talking to myself. I need to be on my way, You heard nothing and if a Seven foot tall Gentleman in a White Tee asks where I am, Tell him I went Thata way." He says politely, pointing to the opposite direction of where he was facing, as He starts a slow Jog, gradually picking up the pace, before becoming a blur once again, disappearing down the street.

Izuku was left dumbfounded, less at the awkward situation that just took place, and more at the fact of what the man had called him.

'I think that's the first time that Anyone in my life has called me "Sir"... Its weird.'

It was at that point that the Manhole cover creaked again as much less violently, it was removed, as A Hulking figure-

It was All Might.

All Might was directly in front of Izuku, in casual clothes, and covered in Sewer Gunk.

Izuku nearly passed out from excitement and Shock right then and there, as he started stuttering before All Might Addressed him first.

"Ah! Citizen, Did you happen to catch where A Man in Grey clothing and a Green man of Slime happened to go? I seemed to have lost them! HAHA! But Never Fear! Justice will catch up to them eventually!"

Izuku merely stuttered for another second, before just pointing where the Man he had seen a few moments ago had run off.

"Thank you Citizen, I shall be off now!"

Is all All Might Said, before he had shoved off, Sprinting at a superhuman, but much more reasonable speed in said direction.

Izuku just watched, mouth agape, as he started to freak out internally.

'Oh. That was All Might! The NUmber one Hero! I missed my chance for an Autograph! … And to ask my burning question, but I still wanted that Autograph!' Izuku's mood went from on high, to cratering, as his expression fell, too busy wallowing in his own misery to notice his assailant sneaking up on him, a sickening tower of green ooze eyeing Izuku's body, as it says aloud:

"Oooooooh. A fresh new meat sack all for me." The Ooze pounces on an Unsuspecting Izuku, who barely had a full second to react. The ooze slams into the Boy, smashing Him on the concrete and invading his lungs and Throat.

"If he wasn't there this would have gone off without a hitch, i'd have invaded a hot broad and got away scott free! But luckily for me still, The Other kid didn't hide! So you'll do just fine. This will hurt, but it'll all be over soon~"

The ooze continued talking, as Izuku struggled fruitlessly against the semisolid substance, feeling his consciousness fading away.

The Last thing He heard was a voice with the might of thunder, and a small blaze of fire scream:

"SMASH!"

Junichiro was really not having a good day in Hindsight.

Sure, his life was kind of ass to begin with, Mom left in the night one day, and a dad whose skills lied in "Manual Labor", meant that he really was not in a good place mentally. Well as far as statistics go, at least. He blitzed down the streets of Musutafu, Careful about not running into any errant people in the gutter that he was running in.

His one real Stand-out ability that made anyone look at him was his Quirk. Hypermobility.

Even then, he wasn't the fastest speedster around. Not even in his own school. Sure, He could reach ludicrous speeds. IN theory at least. Most speed quirks came in the form of immense speed, reflexes, durability, and perception. That was really just what the package offered.

Hypermobility was really one of those. Which was Speed. Funny thing about it, Moving fast doesn't mean a damn thing when you can't move well enough to utilize it.

Junichiro finally stopped, out of breath and practically on the other side of town, as he took off the bandana and turned the hoodie he wore inside-out, revealing a bright red color.

His dad was probably right. Joining a Gang would be an awful idea, in the long and short run.

Junichiro Took out his phone from his back pocket, before scoffing, Pulling out a small wire from his collar and tapped on his back once, before scowling to himself, not tapping it again.

'Fuck you Z. Fuck you Chaos Crew. First day as a Villain and I get All might. This was either a setup or I just came across the most assholish group of Low level villains I could. Can't even Be bad right.'

The black haired man started walking back the way he came, hands in his pockets. If The Chaos Crew taught him anything in the day of initiation, it was being a bystander was the best defense. He sighed, as he put his arms behind his head, walking at the same leisurely pace as he looked in the sky.

'I want Steak. I mean, I can't afford it, nor do I think I can go back to the Crew to grab some food there… Wait, Since I technically failed are they going to "Get rid of me?" Oh shit, I never even thought about what might happen should I fail, they never said it either. Shit they're going to kill me. They're going to send my head in a box to my dad!'

Junichiro's thoughts were overcome with anxiety and irrational ideas that this group would do to him should they find him.

"I… I can't go back home either, they know where I live. Or lived. I led them straight to dad, They practically own me at this point! I.. I have to live on the run now, They said they're worldwide, So I really can't run either… Fuck. Dad was right, I still can't outrun the consequences of my actions, or fate… I… I'm done."

Junichiro sat on a nearby bench, a couple birds flying away as the street, busy with traffic and people, all ignored him.

He had to force himself to steady his breathing, as he tried to think.

'Okay, Okay… I just need to go to the police and be honest. I'm in danger… But… I'll be arrested for life for being associated with them… I can't win.'

The Black haired boy was roused from his thoughts when he heard a distant popping sound, as his head turned to the origin.

Although too far away to be seen reasonably, Junichiro Stood up, before running to a nearby public building to climb up the emergency ladder.

'That sounded almost like explosions. Did someone set off fireworks?'

Finally finishing climbing the ladder, Junichiro looked at the source, seeing flames visibly rising from what should have been a small marketplace.

A pit in his stomach formed, as he briefly considered his options.

'So I can Either run away, which will be fine, cause other heroes who were looking for me will try to save people from the fire, or…'

Beep!

Beep!

Beep!

The communicator attached to his back had buzzed and beeped in his ear, as Junichiro seized up, clenching his fists and tapping on the respond button on the back.

"H-Hey…" He stutters slightly, nervously gritting his teeth.

"You OK?" Says a deep, somewhat raspy voice on the other end, as if the person had been smoking for a few years. They weren't Japanese, nor was their Japanese perfect, but it was fine enough to understand.

"Uhh… Yeah? Why-Why do you ask?" Junichiro responds, tapping his foot nervously.

"Well considering the street you were a block away from where you were supposed to be waiting for a hero on just fucking Exploded, I figured I ought to ask if you were Alive and uninjured." The voice betrayed little actual concern, which was primarily a result of the cadence of the voice, as well as the somewhat monotone he spoke in. Of course, Junichiro knew this was solely for Radio talk, on the off chance someone decided to properly listen in, it'd be harder to discern who exactly it was. He was different sounding in person.

"I-I'm not there…"

"Well you were supposed to report back when you got into contact with a hero, So i thought you got into some trouble. I'm not seeing you on any of the public CCTV, so I had to resort to some local businesses camera footage. Did you ever get a hero there?"

The voice sounded somewhat concerned at that point, as well as morbidly curious.

"No… No I found a hero within ten seconds of entering the store…" Junichiro admits, biting the bullet on that.

"Oh shit. Happenstance or was there an active patrol happening there? Guess that explains why i havent seen you on the monitors."

"I'm not sure, but it was All Might." Junichiro said, trying to squeeze as much sympathy out of the man as possible. It seemed to work, as the Line was silent for around forty seconds, as Junichiro was tempted to say something, anything to break the silence, but held it in, as the fear of speaking up would result in harsh words, or worse, Being told to just go home.

But the Radio crackled to life again with a simple:

"Ah. That's honestly shitty timing. Its hard to find where the gigantic man is at any given moment, and he just so happens to be there? I'm really sorry about that, Honestly. Uhh… I'm assuming by the fact that you aren't the Japanese Hero's net's newest chewtoy at the moment, that you got away safe- Ah there you are." Junichiro's heart spasmed for a moment as he eyed everywhere for a Camera that could be staring at him, not finding any on the rooftop.

"Ah, to your left, On the ground and in the little Alley. Just a bakery's Security cam, Wasn't even aimed at the roof you're on. I can only see your head from here. Do you need someone to come get you or can you make it back on your own?"

Junichiro paused, not sure how to answer the question, or to even answer it at all. After all, They knew where he was now, and would surely be able to follow him that way.

"I-I-" He doesn't answer, as his nerves finally get the better of him.

"Juni… Look, I'll be honest with you, right here, right now. I'm no great judge of character, but I know a Lover from a Fighter. We only really accepted you in because we need People from Japan to give us the low-down and to join our numbers. That and what we dug up from you is troubling to say the least. Your Quirk is strong. Much more so than you know, Much more than you're confident knowing. You're not cut out for fighting, living a life on the run, underground with only a scarce few you can trust. You're not a Demon in the skin of men like some of us are. You're not really cut to be a hero who fights people. But Honestly, Juni, you got a good heart. That's really it."

Junichiro paused, not really sure what to make of the fact that the man had called him a nickname. As the Anxiety welled up, before it flushed away, replaced with confusion.

"Wha-"

"Now, I want to be clear with you, As clear as I can be at least, You're not coming back here. Everything we gave you? Keep it. The money? Yours. However-" The voice got a bit lower, Darker, And had a subtle layer of menace to it. "-You are not to tell a damn thing about us, or anything you may have heard or overheard to anyone. Not any names, not any locations, not any plans or even appearances. What you were doing the past couple weeks, Lie. Where you got the money, Make it up. Won the lottery or something. Abide by these, honestly loose guidelines, and we will never bother you again. Seek us out, we'll likely be either gone, or welcome you back, depending on your circumstances. But if you break any of these rules once-"

The voice started to run static, as Junichiro could tell the connection was starting to waver, as the voice, chock full of static and grain stated one last thing:

"There will be hell to pay."

At that, The small earpiece popped, as Junichiro's back felt uncomfortably warm, as he ripped off the small, somewhat fragile communication system on his back. It was running red hot, as the thing self-destructed.

Looking over to his left, at where the camera was looking at him, He saw it was powered off, as the Operating light had blown itself out, pointed down lamely.

Junichiro stood there, not sure of what to do or say next. Not that he had anything in particular to say, or anyone to even speak to now. He approached the side of the building, looking down at the street, then over in the distance at the now growing flames and explosions.

Junichiro had never been a particularly brave or thoughtful boy. Nor did he ever think he would have what it takes to be a hero. He had no disillusionment of the idea.

But down below, he saw a traffic light change, from red, to green once again in but a fraction of a second, as the flickering and blinking of the lights had caught his attention, before a signal arrow pointed to a nearby sign.

It was a billboard of All Might, With a few tubes sticking into his muscles, siphoning the precious blood that all are gifted with.

An ad for Blood Donations. That was titled: "Be a Hero!"

Junichiro took a deep breath, as he looked back again towards the commotion, as the Lights then returned to normal, the arrow now pointing forwards again, dead on to the flames.

For the first time in his Life, Junichiro Took Direction from someone who believed in him.

And he Ran for it.

So the run-down on the AU if I'm awful at establishing it:

"Angels" Descended to earth and wreaked havoc on earth, Earth's mightiest heroes had slain all but one of them, and now the corpses of the Angels supposedly grant blessings to children born in said country/region. To some of them at least, leading to quirkless people with blessings, and Quirked people with Blessings. Some get one or the other, few get both, Even less Get neither.

Okay now that that's out of the way, I hope to get back into writing. Like actually. As much as I enjoyed it before, it was bad for my delusions, and most things I wrote ended up being random ramblings about character X and Y descending into madness.

Anyways, New Chapter Whenever, Stay safe Folks!
