Naoto Shirogane 27/04
Original devil summoner is conceptually awesome, and Naoto felt like the character who should do that crossover. Title comes from a song title from that game.
Naoto's life as a detective takes a sharp left turn into unusual again, when the crime scene being investigated becomes a forest filled with monsters.
Naoto looks around for a TV that could have caused this, but the world is different from the dungeons Naoto spent a year exploring. And there are still living people here, who are terrified.
Naoto still has a gun, and can put it to good use against the monsters who are different.
Monsters are still monsters, and guns are still effective against monsters, and Naoto works to protect the other people. A man with a gun shaped object raises it, and summons monsters to fight monsters?
Naoto walks over to him, intent on questioning him. He seems to actively have an idea of what is going on here, unlike anyone else here.
He calls out when Naoto gets close.
"You don't seem particularly upset about this building merging with a spirit world. Done this before?"
"Ever heard of Personas?" Naoto calls back.
"Nope." He calls back. "Stay here!" He demands. "I'm going to get rid of the being behind this. Stay here and protect the civilians."
He and his monsters demolish the other monsters in a way Naoto hasn't seen since the TV world. Naoto stays with the civilians, since someone should protect them, and that someone is Naoto.
But when the forest disappears, Naoto tracks down the man from before.
"Don't follow me." He demands, not even turning to look back.
Naoto follows. Naoto has questions, and this man has all the answers needed.
