You like artists. And you like Maki Sonomura. She talks about her art a lot, and she seems to like you you back.
So you think about confessing. And life gets in the way. You have sports, she has increasingly frequent trips to the hospital. Dating at this time would be complicated.
Maybe,when she gets better, and has her energy and chear back. She's not always the most cheerful person in the world, prone to deep introspection and moodiness, but being in the hospital has made her pretty miserable.
And maybe dating would cheer her up, or maybe it would be worse for her, as she would probably miss or be unable to go on a lot of the dates you could take her on,because she is sick. She would probably be thinking of all the things she can't do as your girlfriend. You are,and you already think of all the things she misses out on.
So when she gets better, you will confess.
Only, she doesn't seem to be getting better.
She gets worse and worse, until one day, she doesn't leave the hospital.
You visit, of course. But all you can see are the ways she is unhappy.
And it is through Maki, you meet her friend Chisato, and get to know her well enough to have feelings for her.
Chisato is also an artist. She's not as talented as Maki, but she puts a lot of work into it. They have different styles,
She is an interesting person. And you like learning about her. She seems happy to learn about you too, she comes to your games, you go to her shows,and introduce each other to your respective friends.
By the time she confesses to you, you are more then happy to say yes.
